You should practise look ahead and you will easily get sub-10

  • For first pair you could just do: U R' U2 R2 U R' which is nicer than your solution since its RU gen instead of LRU gen

  • Try to avoid diagonals when you're choosing pairs. I think next best pair after 1st pair would've been BO with: y U2 F' L U L' F which would fill the BL slot and avoid diagonals. for the pair you chose your solution is fine tho, you should've done y instead of y' so that you insert the pair into the back.

  • I think a better solution for pair 3 would be: U' R U' R' f' L' f, basically your solution but with a fat F insert, which would've made your last pair rotationless

  • Rotate then do the whole pair for 4th pair and in general
