do you have the srcamble
Cross can be improved, and you should rotate the cube for oll and pll but do U turns
- You could've inserted red with blue
- don't rotate the cube in oll or pll just do U moves
okay
Learn to plan your whole cross in inspection
make ur cross more efficient
improve your fingertricks and try to regrip less
learn look ahead
how do i do that?
Start with no inspection, then just look at the scramble and plan out your cross solution without any time pressure. Then close your eyes and execute the solution you came up with. With time, you'll get better at it, at which point you can add inspection time.
The closing your eyes bit helps you with lookahead later on, cuz then you don't need to be focused on the cross pieces when you solve them leaving you free to look at the rest of the cube for F2L pieces
thank you so much ill make sure trying that :D
No problem :)
That's a genius idea I never thought of, do you think that'll help with my horrible f2l lookahead?
What other people have also said, think about how you can solve cross more efficiently, track where pieces go (you can do slower solves for that without time pressure).
DON'T ROTATE FOR LL, just do U moves to set up OLL and PLL
you can do a similar thing with f2l, look at a pair and plan the solution, close your eyes and execute it
idk why I can never one look a pair, I have to first pair it and then see how/where to insert
that's why you have to actively try to do it
Yeah it can
for F2L specifically, slow solves are great
but when you do slow solves, make sure you focus on two main things:
- Your goal is to make sure you have zero pauses since you're turning slow
- Actively force yourself to look away from the pair you're currently doing and look for the next one
correction: ignore this since you need lookahead only when u average at least sub 20
also this
main thing for you is 1-look f2l pair
also plan the cross
no rotation whatsoever after f2l since you can do U moves
no y2 whatsoever
stop learning pll immediately and focus on f2l
pll does not make that much of a time difference and u can learn it any time
I don't think it's too early to get used to and practice this
I have serious lookahead issues in f2l and I'm not even sub 30 avg
even knowing advanced f2l intuitively, my lookahead seriously increases my times
