Try to use less rotations during the solve
Try not to rotate during cross
And try not to rotate during pll. If you can’t recognize the case do U turns
learn oll, reduce f2l rotation(best at 0 or 1 rotation for 1 f2l), try to solve the back f2l pairs first
prob
Try to use U moves to find pieces and also try to practice your PLLs - your recognition and execution can def be improved pretty easily and once you get good at recognizing what PLL you have you can try learning how to predict AUF
Also during F2L you were regripping for common triggers such as RUR’ which you should try to do from home grip
do slower untimed solves
@clear surge has reached level 11. GG!
yeah bad phrasing
give me a sec haha
when doing untimed solves, try to identify a pair without rotating and think about how to insert it most efficiently
generally you want to try insert into back slots as this will make lookahead easier when you get to that stage
but whenever you know you need to do R U R' do it in home grip consciously
like this?
facing green
you can either rotate and insert or do a hedge
which would be F R' F' R
but generally you want to try avoid F moves as they're slower
it really depends on the case - so generally if its my last pair and im facing green i'll do a hedge just so that i can go into OLL without rotations
do U moves, don't rotate
that's the only time you won't be able to spot it
but they won't all be in the back slots
so you can always identify at least 1 pair from where you are after cross
and if its last slot, you can infer that its there since if its not in the top layer and your other 3 f2l pairs are done, then it has to be there
you shouldn't need to
and your cross should be a maximum of 8 moves optimally and you should plan it in inspection
that's fine
you're not in comp so don't follow the 15 s inspection time
especially if you're practicing
i mean if you're practicing for comp then simulate that environment
but if you can't plan cross in 15 s then give yourself a minute
or unlimited time ideally
the more practice you have, the faster you'll be able to plan cross and the less moves that cross will take you
since it takes less moves, it'll be easier to identify the moves easily since its easy to remember only 8 moves
eventually you'll get to a point where you'll be able to plan cross in 15 s
i do my best :))
you've
indeed it is
no not at all - i think i learnt full PLL when i was at like 35s
but i think looking at your solve you can def use an alg trainer just to improve recognition and execution of your algs
i wouldn't
there isn't really a full/advanced f2l - you just mess around and see how you can make pairs intuitively
but some algs are good to learn for hard cases
im averaging about 20/21 seconds and don't know full OLL so def work on cross/f2l first
11.28
hella lucky 2 move cross with free pair + PLL skip
no
never been to a comp
yeah
yeah that's a great cube
same one that i have actually haha
nicee
well happy belated birthday then!
nah a friend did it for me
old joke we had
sure ig
sure :))
i don't rly do critiques so i thought i'd try my hand at one haha
btw good general rule of thumb: don't do a y2 during f2l
you can always just insert into the back
again a thing that you need to drill in through slow solves
Try not to rotate as much. During PLL you did a cube rotation and then a U move, a cube rotation is unnecessary and you don’t need to do it. You could shave 1-2 seconds off if you don’t cube rotate on PLL.
Try to solve F2L thumbs only on home grip ( front edge). Try not to rotate for OLL nor PLL, just do U moves. You have a lot of rotations so that is something to work on. Try to solve F2L pairs on the back or at least on the side. Learn Full OLL PLL and try not to double recognize ( only memorize bits of the alg and do it after a lot of U moves.
Try to slowly and look ahead more and learn some adv f2l cases
*Try to turn slowly
reduce your speed during f2l and learn double recognition
if i may ask for my own knowledge, what is double recognition?
it means to be able to recognize the pll just by looking at two sides
np
that's just called 2 sided recognition
iirc double recognition is when you look at an f2l case multiple times when you can already easily deduce what case it is
o wat yaeah
