finally someone who sends a recon
ok
ok
id say do the cross from a y2 angle so its LDF instead of RDB which i think is better
i dont like b moves in general, i try to avoid them most of the time
yeah
Cross
The solution was pretty good, but not best. If you inserted green before red (B2 R2), the blue piece would already be attached to its center, so you could continue with D' L'. It is also very easy to predict the red-blue pari, as it is only affected by the R2 move and stays on top. Predicting the first pair isn't something you have to do but for easy crosses you should try.
F2L
All your F2L solution were very good, however I think your main problem is recognition. It teks you quite a lot of time, and you don't really do look ahead wich you should start to think about at this level. Also right after the cross you rotated to find your first pair, while there was an easy blue-orange one right in front of you. You should avoid rotating only to find pieces
also better oll alg would be (U2) R' F R U R' U' F' U R
LL
It looks like you did the wrong OLL, as you paused after the first part and did a second alg afterwards
its 2 look i just do different 2 look algs sometimes
i know a few
I think 2-look OLL is ok at that level
But you can start leraning full OLL if you want
i mean like easy olls wont hurt
i know easy ones, all of these ones and a few more
Yeah, but also when you only know a few cases, you have to pause to recognize them, and if it's a case you don't know then you have to do 2-look anyway so it actually solws you down
id say its betyer to just get into the habit of using them
Also I'd recommend learning OLLs by shape groups, and not only the easy cases
i think my lookahead was better before i learnt the good solutions, i used beginner f2l sorta until not too long ago and im still getting used to these solutions
Ok, your solutions are very efficient so that's a good thing, now if you just practice and do untimed solves you'll get better at lookahead again
ok
My best ao50 is 17.6 xddd
Alright so from what I see there is one thing that I think you can improve on.
F2L Lookahead.
There are a lot of pauses in between the F2L pairs that you solve, and if you manage to cut them out then you can probably improve by a good 3s.
Also the transition from the cross to F2L was a bit slow.
Here are my tips to help you fix your lookahead (Im no expert but ill try my best to help you)
- While you are doing one F2L case, look around the cube for the next one to do. (By this point you should already know how to do every F2L case blindfolded)
Turning slower can assist you in this but Jayden MacNeill said this is bs so idrk. Personally it didnt really help me either.
- Cross to F2L transition
Im also working on this but from what i know there are two methods for this- Prediction and Tracking (Credit to Brody's video)
Method 1- Prediction. Do the cross mentally and imagine where the F2L pieces will end up. This is rather difficult and I also cant do it which is why i use
Method 2- Tracking. While doing the cross, target a certain F2L pair and track where the pieces go.
Other than these tips the only thing I can think of is to learn full OLL. Your PLL is looking good so thats nice.
Im not that good at cubing (I avrg 10) so I cant give more lol
np
Cross:
Good cross, but cops have been better with B2 R2 D’ L’
F2L 1: could have had better finger tricks and less clunky but very good
Also at your level you should have at least learnt over half of full OLL
y2 F2 L2 D' R'
Ur literally the same speed as me
