To be fair, everything has worked (mostly) fine at least in my experience and if you know what mods your getting the process is (mostly) faster, however some things won't search or will crash the game. They really do need to fix this UI mod issue ASAP.

Yes, this seems to be the issue! Either UI mod or ini mods that change how many mods are shown on the page. Like UGH. Had to delete my load order and restart and now everything is showing fine. Due to either of those two mods I was unable to even disable or reorder mods. Deleting reserved space solved the issue!

Depends on his mod list. I have a relatively light mod list on PS5 and heavier on XBOX. PS5 works fine, XBOX load order is done for.

can't trust to do what? bethesda offers a middleman service to put mods on consoles and computers without needing to do it manually (or not at all), if they want to support creators making a living through their work that's their prerogative as the ones who made the game being modified in the first place.

you dont need to pay for a mod, and you don't need to charge money for it. that's up to the modder. boycotting this is anti-creator and anti-consumer. the only things guaranteed are vanilla skyrim and AE creation club items, and you should only be worried if they're taken away.

Anyone knows if creation is or will be aviable in starfield? this not previous noticed movement alterates a formerly existing comunnity driven way of modding, making all mods from other platforms outdated, for example. This divides that community wich it cant (cant and shouldnt do) compete with a industry driven way of modding wich decide when update. In the end dividing a community is bad and it affects the game. I dont want to choose if nexus modlist or creations modlist, both could be great.

UI Mods are more or less in the “unsupported” category. In other words, if a mod was NOT authored w the CK (or xEdit), it will NOT guaranteed to move to the next game update without it being patched.

If you have not updated, DO NOT UPDATE.

SKSE works. Plugins.txt doesn't. It gets reverted every time the game loads and disables all your plugins that were not installed with the game's mod manager.

Okay... For my use case, Skyrim is actually better now (using about a hundred very small mods that add one change or another to the game) I'm not totally a fan of creation content taking up the same space as mods... Though It will probably never affect me.

Still on the fence as to whether or not mods becoming paid was technically misinformation (spoiler. They ARE NOT paid but it's now much harder to tell that difference and I've already accidentally clicked on one of the new paid CC content thinking it was a mod)

My real problems are two... My load order which partially worked before is now dead...

And second... In trying to fix it, I'm getting this day zero bug where none of my controller inputs go through on certain menus of the mods list. I've spent 5 minutes thinking my controller died/broke until I realized it's for ALL my controllers AND just the PS4 game (I can hit PS button and get out then forcibly close the app)

Load order scroll crash? My game bricked from just surfing the mods menu... And So bad that it's just kicking an error on loading up the base game now... Like all of a sudden I couldn't scroll, surf, or even exit out of the menu I was in... Thought my controller died... Then just had to force quit Skyrim... Now Skyrim doesn't start at all.

I'm in PS4 so I shouldn't be seeing my entire game crash like this.

Simple, technology is limited, we as people can prepare for what we think is going to be enough but humans always exceed our expectations.
I doubt it's that the server's can't handle this flood of people but rather that the server was not built to handle the rate at which people are downloading mods.
Assuming the average player is using around 100 Mods, they alone are going to be using about 100+ gigs of space for those mods (I know I do.)
So with everyone installing that many mods at one time on average (Some with more some with fewer) it's likely that it's not the people on the server's that are causing the issues but rather the scope of which Mods are being uploaded, downloaded/installed, updated, or content purchased.

This might be what was going on with me earlier. I had a mod that kept moving itself in the LO, and I tried deleting it and re-installing it, but then it would randomly just delete itself from my mod list entirely, or deactivate itself. Several mods I deleted also would just randomly pop back up in the list. I'm on ps4. Deleted the game and hoping a fresh install will help.

Even if it doesn't work, press the back button and disable all. Restart and load an old save until you get the option to search for missing content. Then it loads everything normally. That's your chance to disable all for real and start fixing your load order.

When you search for missing content, the creation club thing loads fine. If you don't disable all your mods though, it won't work again when you restart next.

If you have mods that aren't available to download on xbox anymore, just open the creation thing, it won't work properly, press back back and disable all. Restart your game and try to load a save that has the unavailable mod. You'll be asked to search for missing content. Press yes and it'll load the creation menu 100% normally. That chance to disable all your mods and find the main offender. Then you won't have to delete everything. For me, the issue was Mod Manager Cap.

I bought Skyrim for the Xbox because I hated PlayStation mods. I bought it during the “maintenance” and now I can’t do the ONE thing I wanted to do with this because Bethesda (as always) is awful

Well, after deleting and re-installing twice, I've decided to delete Skyrim until further notice. LO is impossible to change, and I thought this time I'd try to put a few of the AE CC things in my list as well since I bought it at release but on ps you can't see the LO of any of that stuff and after only adding a few armors and some staves from the AE, I got an error saying the data was corrupted and now I can't open the game at all so I deleted since I'll have to do another re-install anyway. I'm guessing it is impossible to mix mods with the CC content from the AE at all. I'm so tired. I've spent HOURS trying to just put my mod list like it was before.

For anyone on Xbox, if you have any mods that aren't available to download anymore and you don't want to wipe your LO, open the creation menu. It won't work properly, but open your LO, press back and disable all mods, which also seemingly won't work. Go back to the main menu and select a modded save. It'll ask you to download missing mods, select yes. Then it'll ask to activate deactivated mods, select yes. The main goal finally is to get the promt to search for missing content, I've tested it a few times now but I'm not completely certain how to guarantee this promt. Anyway, select yes and it'll take you to the creation menu and working 100%. Don't back out yet, disable UI mods and the Ugh Mod Manager Cap. Then you're free to back out and everything should be working fine to download and rearrange mods.

the original keyword system was fine. now if you use multiple keywords, it pulls results from both pools. so "YEW pentapox" doesn't exclusively pull my pentapox uploads; it instead pulls up all pentapox stuff (not just mine) and some of my completely unrelated ports which have the YEW tag.

Steam's implementation was not good. Mod authors have new free assets with which to mod with. ESL format has gotten incredibly more robust. We now have a lip file generation at the 64-bit level. Bugfixes throughout. They're continuing to support the community and the game 10 years out.

It's a lot of fun. I mod FO4 but the new script updates and new assets to play around with have sparked my interest again for Skyrim. Start small and work your way to bigger projects though. Bigger projects tend to burn people out very quickly.

You likely have mods that are unverified, banned or mods that were once "work in progress" and as a result, no longer accessible via the mod menu, and thus, causing the game to crash. Alternatively, ui mods, USSEP, Reconciliation, or Vanilla plus like mods also cause crashes because they likely fix issues (and thus, break the game) that were resolved by the update.

So, if the modauth who uploaded or made certain mods but took them down, the creations "thing" needs them to verify before you can adjust it

Yeah, I have that issue but then again I have 235 mods active rn so I'll assume until worked out the menu is gonna have some issues

Ngl thisnis pretty par for the course from what I can recall in my early days of playing skyrim. Berhesda would roll out a new update and it would make things worse after the community had found/made work arounds for the bugs.

you will need to delete your reserve

I know, but I'm trying a reinstall just incase, because I had done about 140 mods before this happened, so if there's a chance I can keep that progress I'll take it lol

a reinstall should delete the reserve aswell

Probably, I guess I'll find out later, this whole thing stinks though, I was even very careful not to use anything that touched the UI
