Yeah I think official servers are kinda hit and miss, when I see that stuff I just go to one that is community ran by unofficial like creators. I guess their comment was towards him but it was very light and walking on egg shells is the least welcoming thing you want people to feel like. I only joined today to see what was going on. Either way hopefully compensation is in order. Hurts to see. Once we get in thats the first part the second is will it work. I'm just doing the ghoul stuff and then im back to my other games

the paid mod for FO4 is better well done. You can just wear glasses and a bandana or the disguises but being a ghoul does affect bos and such more then this game allows you to since they won't lock you out of content hence the disguise and you keep your stats underneath and being in power armor counts which this game doesnt

Well I mean quality of the story for V, the dlc got cut. GTAO pushed heavy. besides RDR2, RDO they let die. No RDR2 60fps version. Botched GTA trilogy. Several re re re releases of RDR1. Not many good ports of GTAIV its hurting since Xbox is probably the most stable...lol needs one. Hard to be excited after single player when online is gonna dust it

I kinda liked what the TV show does and tones down the retrofuturism. I mean we see in the cinematic of fallout 4 that we have access to monorails and these neon colored buildings.

But cities in the show are just actual cities today and we only see the 50’s Americano and less that retrofuturism.

The Bottles are nice for the Nuka-Cola bundle at Costco. But the taste is meh. I suppose a Sunset Sarsaparilla would taste more... artisan? Also, they don't have any kind of cardboard separator, so the bottles are just clanking around inside the Box. I predominantly use Boston Natural Surroundings. There are several different variations including seasonal changes so you can choose what works best for you. I use Vivid Fallout AIO as my base texture overhaul then add on from there. More Vines, better leaf piles. WET (and others I’m blanking on right now This area is going to be interesting with the space increase. I’ve mixe and matched in the past to fit everything down to the last mb😄 A lot more options(and changes) now to choose from. Blood textures, furniture, cigarettes, billboards. I really like the FO:NV inspired one that I downloaded lately. I really liked Commonwealth. Advertising too and for Water I used WET and I think it’s called Vivid Waters and Coastal waves(might be wrong on that name). That’s all I can think of right now. I’ll take a look at my LO when I get home. Just remembered. I use NACX FIXED for weather. The seasonal changes and the customization options were what I was looking for.🤙🏻

I moved full tiem back to Fo3 and left nv/4/76 over on the far left. havent touched fo3 since 2019 and prior to that was I think 2015/16. After that it was nv/4/76. wew its wild coming back to fo3 and seeing how far its come along especialyl with fose and some of the patches and tweaks one can make to the game. I dont think ive ever had it run as stable as it is now and I even added a bunch of mods with food and drink and some extra factions (mostly unfinished mods to give them all a place to exist so to speak and not just forgot as a download on nexus). I will say its great to once again be running around the capitol wasteland and seeing all this stuff again and once again running some of those old mods I loved.

I am very aware of TTW and am not interested in it past the new vegas punching mechanics/animations and a few other mechanics of interest at the moment. I am on what I call super burnout on nv. when I put down fo3 roughly 10 years ago for the most (minus 2019's last hurrah of sorts) I overplayed nv and than 4. added in 76. I enjoy those games and will go back eventually but it's a case of you know what ive seen these spots for too long now and done all this too many times. Not a bad things just perhaps I should have spent less time in nv so I wasnt burned out on it. So while I do plan to eventually TTW it all (a lovely combo imo and many others also share) For now I just want the pure capital wasteland with nothing waiting but the mods for it and lands it adds. though I think we both can agree that not having some of those sweet radio stations from nv around does suck. Luckily there are some great radio mods for fo3 I am still enjoying all this time later (As imo the radio stations in fo3 are a bit weak overall compared to some of the later games radio stations on offer).

im trying to compile a TON of songs for the radio mod i have installed that allows me to play any songs i want in the custom radio it adds but i want it to fit the style and era of fallout. im conflicted with a few songs and wanna know weather you think theyd fit. i dont wanna just use covers but the actual songs if i can.

"fool around and fell in love by elvin bishop." a simple love song from 1975. im conflicted because its like mainly base and long gospel esk singing. feeling slow and full of soul, somehing to vibe with as its a calm beat and a great classic.

"Spirit in the sky by Norman Greenbaum." a song about when the character in the song contemplating the afterlife. the reason why im conflicted with this one is the guitar. electric guitars i dont think exist in fallout. or correct me if i am wrong there. but the lyrics, style and the message i feel fits the lay of the wastelandscape but that guitar. i dont wanna have to look for a cover because this songs just too recognizable.

For my own personal taste, none of those songs fits in the Fallout universe. The traditional Fallout playlist consists mainly of songs from the 40's and 50's. Songs from the 70's feel wrong to me (I don't like Fallout's use of "Take Me Home Country Roads" for the same reason). But it doesn't matter what I or anybody else thinks. It's your game, so you should include the songs that feel right to you.

I rather things get changed and updated and made better than sit in some wierd limbo spot because some think the game needs to be held down and kept as is and not improved because it somehow retcons things already being retconned in the show. its not a slap in the face at all and that mindset just holds back and keeps restraineed nv in a weaker state. I rather it get updated and improved than sit in limbo over fake insults and fake slap in the faces. I get why you want it to stay unchanged but nah thats a slap in the face of what the game could be and I rather it get updated and improved than get a few minor tweaks over a massive improvement because someone thinks its somehow a slap to the people not working there and retcons things retconned from the show. oh ok well you keep the game held down and back if you want I will push for major upgrades and updates and improvements and unshackle and unrestrain the game from being held down and back.

New Vegas’ is at its strongest because of Obsidian’s story telling at the time. Improve the visuals. Fix the bugs. Fix the gunplay and add sprint. Do what Oblivion already does and it does a better job preserving a classic that doesnt downgrade your experience

remaking the game means having to bring back voice actors or replace them. Not to mention iconic characters like Benny had passed away. It is essentially affecting the spirit of the game by just replacing stuff there.

Sadly its unlikely either one of us would get either wants. Hopefully with the covering nv we get at least something. I mean I would prefer more improvements and upgradea but at this point I too would be happy with just some tweaks and patches and fixes. If anything I think its a major compliment to say this was liked enough to want to see it even better. Anyone know how to get the fallout avatar decoration? Ive never done it and its not showing up for me. My friends have it but I don't

does anyone have a solution to my loading screen and distant view being blurry? fo4, the loading screen text is blurry until i hover the object over it. Ive tried lower res, turning of shadows, god rays, and stereoscopic 3D. as well as tried using the invida app to make the focus performance but none of that fixed the issue

Travis isn't good as a story point, you can give him confidence through a quest that makes him better. Also it's way more realistic that not everyone would be a great radio personality in the post-apoc.

Three Dogs was often really annoying and Mr. New Vegas was a computer program lorewise but was also voice acted by an actual radio personality from the Las Vegas area

Personally I'll take a socially awkward guy over an overly preachy radio host that decided "ah yes the perfect place for a radio station, a super mutant infested hellhole"

sadly no I have no idea whats wrong or how to fix it. I suggest backing up your ini files and than deleting them and reloading the game and see if that fixes it. could be something in the ini files (launcher after and set the settings and than load the game to make new ones and than edit accordingly and carefully. and of course you could wipe the whole install and install fresh and rebuild and that should fix it hopefully.

I think they will because they are merging both NV and 4 content together, and combat wise they clash. Bethesda is starting to like NV again, they definitely know it's more popular than 4, so there's a good chance it'll be more like NV

Stuff like Rifleman, Gunslinger, Commando, or Heavy Gunner shouldn’t be perks imo. I’d prefer enemies are not modified due to your level scaling. Sure some dps perks can work but only if they come with a quirk

like playstyles such as Ninja makes sense as its very specific for stealth

I always found Skyrim as an improved set up of Fallout 3/NV. It was more simple and streamlined combining with Oblivions systems. You use an item and you get better at using them to unlock perk points and your attributes

The better you are at using weapons means you can use the weapon better. Reloading can improve, handling, recoil, etc

Power armor crafting is more impactful. U can have a jetpack or explode the ground beneath ur feet

I do like gun modding if its a bit more realistic. Weapon receivers should not change your ammunition type when you dont change the barrel or magazine. Doesnt work that way

I will say that while pipe weapons become very obsolete quickly I did find an odd fun in using them at high levels decked out how I wanted visually and making it auto fire. weak AF but oddly fun when most others sported higher level tier stuff by level 100+. but ultimately they end up being weapons that I would have prefered be added later and more fo3/nv stuff showed up in place of it. but eh mods for some fix that.

I personally wish the Handmade Rifle was a early level weapon as its realistic and def fits the makeshift assault rifle category. Which is why i use mods to put DLC weapons into the list and remove Pipe weapons

Its also an AK. Nobody hates the ak

I use alternate start in fo3 and thus there is no vault 101 and daddy and all that and while I can do questline stuff to move things forward I usually leave it all alone and play as whoever I am.

atm its a guy working on making caps and finding a place to live and doing some basic errands. vault 101? never heard of it.

The first act of the game is get to diamond city. Save Valentine. Break into Kellogg’s house. Give Cigorette smell to Dogmeat. Follow dogmeat. Kill Kellogg at the fort.

Im quite bias to the wasteland now that I am back in it after 9-10 years not seeing it. so many things it does right I enjoy and once you sort out the green and a few other things its great. I like you dont care much for the story and some of the dlc but its overall a great world and its not a shock to me I ended up back in the wasteland and not doing the ttw. fallout 3 did many things right and thats often overlooked for the later games.

Skyrim has that dull nature that helps also age better. Idk has like that Grey darker fantasy color to it. Like less saturated
