Victor was supposed to turn on you if you blew up the Securitron Vault but it got cut; he otherwise just vanishes yeah. As for NCR and yes man… The NCR wants to annex and control New Vegas on their terms. Yes Man ending is you pulling a full-on anarchist coup (NO GODS, NO MASTERS) to let Vegas and the Mojave self-govern with your Securitrons being a neutral force to resist outside powers interfering in that. You do the math.

FWIW you don’t necessarily fight the NCR in the Yes Man ending you just intimidate them into leaving like House does - it’s just that unlike with House, whose plan involves forming a single sovereign city-state of New Vegas that can bring them to the negotiating table afterwards, here they’re just getting shoved out at gunpoint by an angry mob and some rando’s robo-militia, and thus are probably gonna nut up and try to invade again eventually

Yeah, the Yes Man ending is honestly pretty bad all around imo.

And I definitely think it's more boring than the NCR, mostly because there's not much substance to it because it's similar to Mr. House but with less flair. It's basically "upload me into the mainframe and go deal with these factions."

I mean Ig, but the ending pretty much just leaves the Mojave in the same position it was before anyone moved in. And that condition was not good. The securitrons are out and about now, but the ending slides don't really suggest they do much.

You can deal with the bad factions, but they're just gonna show up again. The wasteland never changes.

Do the ethics matter much in the end? We get a really vague ending with Yes Man, House makes it clear only the Strip matters, the Legion kills everyone, and the NCR actually brings some safety and stability to the Mojave (at the cost of some personal freedoms).

The people of outer Vegas talk about how much they want the NCR gone, but they never talk about how much the NCR's current presence is benefiting them, even if the NCR itself isn't really helping them out directly. Even Arcade realizes in one of his endings that independence isn't all its cracked up to be.

Father Elijah put a slave collar on the guy; guy went to vault 21, which had the c finder, to purchase it. We don't know what happens after other than the guy is just, dead with his head blown off

Afterwards, the gun ended up in the hands of Max, which well... context clues alone can tell you how he got it from a dead body in a nearby building

Complete the Brotherhood Questline completely, have the NCR quest "For The Republic, Part II" active, talk to Cassandra Moore up to the point where she tells you to destroy the BoS, visit Elder McNamara (won't work if you have Hardin as Elder) and speak to him; he'll send someone to talk to Cassandra

Go back to cassandra and she'll have a BoS soldier next to her, then you can have them "truce". Visit Yes Man to tell him you initiation a truce between the NCR and BoS

This will not work if you failed For The Republic or any major NCR quest already. You need to be able to get to For The Republic Part II, which requires you to stop doing Yes Man quests for a while. you'll know tihs if you have a quest called "Don't Tread on the Bear" active. If this is active, do not do anymore Yes Man quests until you initiate the truce in For The Republic Part II

After the truce is done, you can do Yes Man quests again.

this will also not work if you instated Hardin as an Elder, as he's not like McNamara

However, once you've finished that specific part of For The Republic Part II, do not finish the NCR questline further than "You'll Know It When It Happens"

For The Republic, Part II -> You'll Know It When It Happens -> Eureka!

Eureka is the last NCR quest, which is the 2nd battle of hoover damn

I know a lot of people view the Fallout Bible as gospel, but I'm not a fan of how it interprets the lore.

Like, really, Avellone? The ENTIRE world was nuked? Even the Maldives? New Zealand? Jamaica?

It's incredibly ethnocentric in that it thinks that because the US and China launch nukes, everyone is going to launch nukes and target each other.

Granted, the background radiation and FEV in the atmosphere would do some bad things, but I think a better interpretation of events is that ONLY America and China went kerplewy and the rest of the world has been slogging on, dealing with the literal and metaphorical Fallout.

And the responder whom can be part of the minutemen if general of the south
Any who you try to find family and friends but there dead and you have to hunt down and kill the raiders and gunner ect for revenge
The would be settlement building but up graded

A little change would be nice I have heard they are making a dlc size mod for 4 in London

One side quest should be called to move meant were you bring vehicles to the battle field tanks

Carry anti venom. You can usually farm it from Legionaries or buy it from doctors.

Otherwise, keep Boone and ED-E. Their long range capabilities will aggro them to the wasps, allowing you to flank.

Thinking back to the discussion on how clown shoes the whole "why not just rebuild civilization" thing Fallout has.

I think the answer is to make the character a scavver going into an area that's not inhabited by humanity. That would explain the lack of civilized settlements and new buildings.

Imagine, to use an example, New York. A cornucopia of salvage for the enterprising wastrel, but it could be overrun with mutated abominations and unsafe 200 year old architecture. So, no real civilization nearby, but plenty of outposts to sell scrap at.

That way, Bethesda could have its cake and eat it too.

Human civilization is still crawling on, building new towns in the isolated parts of the country, but you're on the frontier, so to speak.

save a lot, or whenever you feel is necessary. i do it before i leave a town or after i enter one usually

Yeah, learned from 1 that low agility and strength is bad, so those I maxed out, tagged speech, energy, and repair (don't know why). some questions: have any of the skills been changed from 1? Is gambling good now? Whats the earliest plasma rifle/power armor I can get my hands on?

Gambling... eh.

There's more gambling spots, like New Reno and the Den, but I've never really used it. Same for 1. You won't miss much if you don't use it

Technically, you can get power armor extremely early if you know what you're doing. same with the plasma rifle

You have to go to San Francisco and talk to the BoS guy there, Matthew, and he'll instruct you to visit a military base. You can get onto the base fairly easily and without anyone trying to kill you

then you can take the power armor and plasma rifle

if you don't go that route though, you aren't going to get power armor for a while though.

You need to barter as much as you can. Save up your money, then buy good weapons and armor

good small guns early one would be the .223 Pistol and the 14mm pistol, but you'll be stuck with a 10mm for a bit. You'll also be stuck with a leather jacket if you play the cards right, which is armor

Getting power armor early CAN make the game easier, but it won't make it not hard. If you don't have good guns, then it's kind of null a bit

Probably your best companions to have are K-9 and Sulik

at least 4 charisma so you can have 2 companions. Max you can have is 5. it works by halving your CHA points

mmkay! You can upgrade your car by talking to the robed guy west of the NCR bazaar for some cash

when you enter virgin street in new reno and leave the area, your care gets stolen, but its easy to find. Then you can buy it back and upgrade it.

Last upgrade you can get is at Klamath. You need to get through the rat caves until you reach the other side of the fence, then interact with the dead highwayman. It gives you a part that Smitty can install for you

Okay, Bethesda should give Obsidian another go with the fallout IP in Fallout 4's engine.

There were alot of limitations in embreyo and they were given less than two years to make something amazing. Which they did.

Only thing is alot of things had to be cut and the vison had to be narrowed.

Thanks to the new hardware I like obsidian bring back and try to implement some of those things.

Also allow them to what they want and this time given them more time. 7 years.

1. Starfield engine is untested.
2. Even though Fallout 4 is embryo, there been a slew of bug fixes and documentation that exists enough to translate a new vegas style on the most stable version will bear the most fruit to both said moding community and developers.

That being said I be surprised if its in unreal or another engine. But a different engine can in fact impact the feel and experience of a game. So great care must be taken when developing your game....

Todd "supposedly" said it in a preview article, but even he said that you'll rarely ever get quoted correctly in those articles, so kind of null.

And Emil said on stream that some of what's in FOT is in the canon.

Unfortunately, people have taken and extrapolated a "quote" from 2007 as irrefutable proof of a "non-canon" status (even if said quote has been shown to be false multiple times), which has led to a common consensus that Tactics is not a part of the main continuity. A rather shame really, since the game deserves equal treatment from fans.

Hope the bring back alot of the late 1990's-early 2000's tech concepts and aesthetics that were lost. Not a fan of these newer guns in fallout 4. Some look...Very rediculous. Twin barrel mammoth tanks, apc's that look like a bug, assault rifle, combat rifles that use 45 acp....

Even small stylish changes that seemed to be missing context

like how in power armor a AR can be used in one hand like an smg or how the mini guns could be strapped to an arm

Also the very quirked up ways and animations of wounding and killing folks got watered down over time.

Update coming out for Fallout 4 to make it next gen. Kinda excited for this. They said new creation club content tho. It makes me scratch my head. After so long, I wish they just bundle all currently existing C.C. content instead of making it bloat for those who don't have it like Skyrim Anniversary did.

Some content should absolutely been in Fallout 4. Like fan favorite weapons and armors. Maybe back port some extra goodies from 76 in there.

Even if some of the 76 content is cringe like ultracite.

Bonus points if they do a small rebalence to the sandbox

i would say it is a sequel to fo3 in terms of timeline but i wouldnt say plotwise. i dont think you hear any of the major things happend in fo3 like the enclave being pushed out of the region or that the BoS reinstalled the water purifier

also these events were pretty regional, hitting in and around d.c. so the mojave and new vegas wouldnt really care what happend there

Its happened several times now in the last few hours. every time between loading screens. im running ult settings with no issues and it seems to be running faster than i remember. Hmm don't agree. Business laptops have woeful graphics cards. I went that route for my modding PC. It just about works for modding FO4 but it's unusable for playing it, even with all graphics settings dialed down to minimum.

Maybe something along these lines: The Fallout New Vegas game I downloaded from Steam didn't work hardly at all with my A770 graphics card, crashing a lot, especially when going through doors. Someone on Discord here suggested that I try using the latest DXVK d3d9.dll, replacing the one that came with the game. I downloaded that .dll from github and used it. That DXVK .dll improved the gameplay a lot, but it still did some unwanted things. The best solution that worked for me was to play Fallout New Vegas in Windowed mode, To get it to play in full screen in Windowed mode, I had to set the screen resolution in the Fallout New Vegas .ini. For me that is 2560 x 1440. The game runs in mostly full screen, with only about 1/2" border at the top. It still crashes, but much less, making the game playable. That is, while using the DXVK d3d9.dll. Intel needs to fix this so that Fallout New Vegas works better with the A770 cards. I'm using Windows 11, PC.

If you have done it before you already know how to handle the disease and needs which is the main challenge apart from the combat and no fast travel.
