i linked alternative mods if you think the dress is too cold also there just toons,how does your brain absorb the parts where you aborb dragons and fight draugrs from hundreds of years ago but a summer dress is too much

There may be a way to experiment with that. Creating a second mesh layer just thinly placed over the original, with some funky emission and the use of Alpha Falloff angles in BSEffectShader property, but I'm merely commenting via a baseless theory in my head. I've never tried do it for a purpose such as that, I think if your desperate enough to achieve that effect it might be worth a quick test, but I don't know.
But...in doing that the optimization for the outfit would take a hit since the second layer would need near the same amount of verts to cover the original layer without clipping. Shrug
Ergh...well..maybe not, since you mentioned it only applying in light sourced scenarios. Obviously an emission would be a constant effect. Nevermind that actually
It's an anachronism, is the way to describe it. We generally have this expectation based on what we know of a world and its level(s) of technology and established cultures as to what we might see or find. If the world you're in is medieval it can be jarring to suddenly find a wrist watch, especially if there's been nothing to really set up the possibility of finding one. As a result, the presence of such a thing is anachronistic - or, as some places describe it, an Out-Of-Place Artifact. Elder Scrolls hasn't really, as far as I'm aware, established knowledge of a culture or people on Nirn from which you'd see something like a dress like that, so usually it immediately feels out of place as a result. 
i use immersive mods aswell but the dress is ok for say someone that is gardening (if you only wanted to be immersive) and i just wanted to try make a new dress type that hasnt been done yet in skyrim everyone likes different mods so someone might find a use for the dress in there game
when i was exporting i did click a brightness button on the mesh it seems to be winning over the other the regular nif controls it is only happening with that texture aswell (i have tried a few others too see how it looks and they were ok)
I don't have everything installed, to be able to give you the proper terms, but I think it's one step before where you'd assign textures, on the BSTriShape. When you expand the tree and go down into lighting and textures, that 2nd to last step should have places where you can enter a numeric scale or percent for things like specular strength and glossiness. Thing to keep in mind is, if you have more than one item that share the same mesh, you would affect all of them, or would need to copy the mesh and rename it to give the one item its own mesh and edit only that one.
Hey yall got another question. So I've got JK's skyrim (all-in-one) and a lot of the added npcs and shopkeeps have weird coloring faces and digitized faces. Anyway to fix this?
It’s not a problem with JKs. You probably have a conflict between two other mods that make racial edits.
Or possibly you need a patch. Without seeing your load order it’s hard to know. But yes there is a way to fix it as that doesn’t normally happen with JKs.
Yeah this is what I feared, even with an update where it says that it's compatible with AE, Immersive Citizens is still a bit bugged when it comes to dealing with the "Heart of Gold" quest where after giving Mila a goldfish and the quest telling you to follow her, Mila will not head to her quest directive and either stand or be near her mother.

I’ve been having this problem for a while, but I don’t know what to do to fix it.
I keep getting the message, via LOOT, in SkyUI_SE.esp:
Another mod seems to be overwriting one of this module’s essential files. Please ensure you’re using this module’s version of scripts/playerloadgamealias.pex.
Can you help me, please.
Go into data > scripts, cut and paste that script into a safe location (some storage folder you can find later). Then reinstall SkyUI (or at least extract the archive and reinstall that script). See if that fixes the issue, but also see if it changes anything else, in order to determine which mod also added a version of it, and if it's going to create a problem with that mod.
None of those jump out at me as an obvious problem. I would just disable a few mods at a time. Hard reset (I assume that is a thing on PS like it is on Xbox). Start a new game and test it out. Once it is fixed just use process of elimination to see which mod is the conflict.

Is there an easier way on Windows 11 for the Creation Kit to link the Texture/Sound/Mesh files other than creating an archive list?
I attempted the click-drag that used to work on Windows 10 back when I was more active and that did not add them. Luckily I didn't have too much for those type of assets to add into the PC/Xbox archive list manually, and that is what I ended up doing to get it pushed out tonight.
Hello, I haven't played the game for a while (about 1 or 2 years..?). I've heard that Skyrim SE mods don't support Skyrim AE, is that true? Should I delete my all mods??
You should not delete all mods. My entire mod list (with the exception of a single SKSE-dependent mod) functioned perfectly well after I upgraded to Anniversary Edition.
Mods that A) require SKSE and B) also require a .dll will most likely need to be updated. Nearly all other mods, including non-.dll SKSE-dependent mods, should work just fine after upgrading to Anniversary Edition.
The rampant clickbait internet hysteria over this issue was, to put it very politely, unnecessary.

From my pre-1.6 mod list, net script framework is still not up to date, which means I can't use any of the mods that depended on it, like better telekinesis for example. Most everything else I used, SKSE itself for example, as well as SSE Engine Fixes, Actor Limit Fix, and Violens, have been updated.
• Places a dead NPC
• NPC appears normal...
• Sets dead NPC as a Quest Alias
• Checks "Allow Dead"
• Dead NPC is now completely naked...

I genuinely don't get it. Why is there such rabid hostility toward game updates for BGS titles when other moddable gaming communities not only embrace those updates, they work to update their mods in a timely manner and don't complain about it when they do?
I don't play any other games that I can mod, heavily. If other publishers did behave this way, in games that I did mod, I would feel the same.
"behave this way" What are you even talking about? It's standard practice for a company still working on a game to update it. 
It's about the lack of a choice, after spending days of getting a LO with dozens of mods perfect.
I'm not arguing who does and who does not update their games. Go ahead and update your game as much as you want - just give me the ability to NOT have to install the update.

You don't have to install it though. There's multiple ways to avoid updating, such as having steam in offline mode. Entire guides are out there on the ol' google about how to do this. 
Been there, done that, and ended up with Skyrim updating...somehow.

I also don't think I should have to jump through hoops to NOT install an update. A simple switch, clearly marked. That's what I need.

Steam gonna Steam, so you can rail against it all you want, it'll update when it decides it's time. That's the price one pays for being beholden to the Steam ecosystem.
If SE were available on GoG instead, we'd not need to have this conversation and there would not be 6 million guides that are all ultimately in the wrong about it 😛
At the least you should feel lucky that modding Skyrim is as easy as it is. Other games such as those built with Unity have it worse. Either way, once you've started changing the game from its vanilla state you've accepted there may be hardships and difficulty along the way.
It's just the nature of the beast.
If it helps you feel better, at least you're not the one having to make the mods? Imagine all the time and effort involved in that on top of everything else. Or, if you'd like, consider this an opportunity to dive into that pool; learn about how to make patches and tweak mods so you can update the mods you're using that are out of date so they function as you like.

Yup. They can force it, somehow.
It's not forcing anything. It's just Steam doing what it was designed to do. The issue isn't Bethesda or whatever other dev, it's Valve.
I thought Bethesda ultimately has control over updates, since they have to supply the update, no?
The Steam client follows its manifest files in order to know what to do regarding updates, what files it downloaded, etc. If you didn't lock it down then yeah it's going to potentially update.
Bethesda uploads the update, yes, but Steam is designed to serve the latest version to the user.
You may want to look into whether you are using cloud file storage programs such as OneDrive as those like to screw with your filesystem, swapping some modified files out for backups when you may not want it to. There is the possibility if you locked down the manifest file that OneDrive could swap it back to an older version and there you go now you're vulnerable again.
There is a way they can allow you to use previous copies of the game, but I'd consider such a thing to be a support nightmare on a commercial product.
Should be trivial for Bethesda to program something in the game options/config files to ignore updates if a particular toggle is switched.
It wouldn't be a game option. It'd be something they have to do with the Steam back end.
Hmmm, I'm thinking about the game version check that Steam does. Toggle makes a change to that...? Admittedly unsure, but the Steam client must read something in the game files before it blindly downloads updates.
But as I said, it would be something I'd be against if I worked there. It creates a support nightmare because people will assume the company is now obligated to provide support for it since it's officially available that way. I've seen it time and time again on other games where old versions are obtainable on Steam. It makes no difference how loudly those devs protest it, people will insist because they paid for it.
That could be the case, true. But it could also make a lot of mod users happy.
It was even worse in the old days when you had to download your updates manually from the company website. There was no end to confusion over who had what version of what game. For all the terrible things I see Steam as having done, keeping your games updated is not one of those things.

Yes, they could say that, but people will ignore it and demand support anyway. We already see it just from mod users demanding we as mod authors keep old copies of our stuff up for download. You don't think people would demand that even more forcefully on a PAID product?
Maybe they would. Probably, in fact. 'Course it wouldn't stop Bethesda from ignoring them - like they do those who want to be able to NOT update their game.
You can't make everyone happy, so why not go with what makes their jobs as game devs easier and just not offer old versions.

Hey, can someone help me with modding on the Nexus Vortex?
I upgraded my PC and now use a separate harddrive for my games and my operation system.
I tried to set everything up and I needed to reinstall my Vortex but now it tells me the staging folder is invalid, no matter what I do, or where I put it

Arthmoor, good to see you posting. I've got many of your mods installed, high quality stuff. Is this a good place to leave a general mod request? This is directed at any modder, really. I'd love to have a follower who DOESN'T summon/raise dead but is still able to level with you to high levels. And if you want to make a really useful follower, how about bumping up their carry weight to something like 1,500 lbs? Never seen this done, so maybe it's not possible.
Check out Amazing Follower Tweaks. You can manually level them, choose their stats and skills, and I believe they can carry 1000 weight each. You can have up to 5 active followers and 30 ish "on the books," so to speak. You do want to avoid using it on custom followers with their own framework, though.
Thanks for the reply! I forgot to mention I'm on PS4 with SkyrimAE. I'm using Multiple Follower System right now, too. I'll check the mod list page to see if Amazing Follower Tweaks is available for PS, but are you saying it lets you make adjustments to just the basic followers like Lydia? That sounds fun! Does it conflict with MFS?

Thanks, I didn't know the MFS mod got a followup with followers! I'll try to check out one of the SkaerKrow ones, too, but I've always been a little afraid to try one of his, because a lot of the ones I've read the descriptions for sound like they make gameplay changes too, and I'm worried about overwriting what I've already got. Depends what you mean by gameplay changes. SkaerKrow's mods are generally pretty good when it comes to compatibility. I've used all but two of them over the years, so feel free to ask about any and I'll probably be able to answer.

You can examine the way DarkFox127 has set up his, for reference when you are making your own. If your trying to just change the imperial sidgil logo, then that would just be a nif change (You will need an archive opener if you want to do this, BSAOpt or Bethesda Archive Extractor are solid choices). You'll also want to grab NifSkope here: https://github.com/niftools/nifskope/releases. You can even copy over special effects into the wallpaper or logo nif, if that's what you want.

The closest mod to one im looking for is https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/3433703 which break down septims to gold silver bronze, but it does not add weight to them, nor can you craft silver and bronze septims it also does not add copper and tin. (needed bronze)
more over it does not allow to make talons (large gold and silver units normally the state that gold would be transported in during those times)

that should not matter as their is no exchange that can change your silver coins to bronze or gold and game doing it automatic breaks my immersion.
as i like my play-through with different value coins that have weight to them. it makes no sense to pick up two gold coins suddenly have them turn into 200 bronze coins. the wight would go from 0.02 to 2.00 same as picking up an ingot.

gosh i was watching a twitch streamer dev who programs his own stuff for skyrim and he made a mod with fully functioning automatic guns, not those gun mods you've seen for oblivion in the past that are a gun model but shoot the fireball spells fireballs. I was wondering is there anyone here who will ever make fully functioning cannons? cannons exist in redguard.

It's nice that the official fishing stuff is easy to set up. That's one thing I like about Bethesda's pipeline, some things are just super quick to do. Just place down a couple markers and an activator, link with keywords, and your good to go with a new fishing spot.

That requires a lot of messing with scripts since biomes and associated fish are hardcoded.
But yeah just adding the actual “here is a spot you can fish in” is nice and easy, so if you’re just adding more vanilla fish locations it’s totally painless.

Biomes are hardcoded into the FishingSystem pex script, and there’s no way to add or change biomes without editing the script. (Biomes determine which fish can be caught where, so if you want totally different fish you’d need to make a new biome.)
So for the wheels of lull fishing addon, since I wanted the player to be catching exclusively the new clockwork fish, I basically had to make a duplicate of the fishingsystem script and put new biomes into it, then make duplicate fishing activators and link them to the new version of the fishing system .
(Since obviously I didn’t want to edit the vanilla fishing system, that would just be “mod conflicts: the mod”)
The fish themselves are just set up as a collection of FormID Lists and Activators.
Each fish is basically six lists, two activators, and two ingredients
now that I think about it, you told me all this once before. Maybe more. Why do I keep forgetting it? 😛

Is a Helgen Rebuilding mod off the table? Like liberate and revive Embershard for raw materials, then get workers from riverwood and ivarstead, and convince the jarl of falkreath to send laborers and guards. Eventually, the local poachers can do trade there, and a pub opens up.
Then what? Is there too much stuff going on there, scriptwise, to allow for it?

That is, with heavy scripting, it is possible to restore helgen in a safe and sinple way that doesnt risk the main quest.

Trying to put Madanach on the throne in Markarth, forsworn guards; the trigger for the city battle should be escaping cidnha mine. The current jarl is exiled as usual. If before civil war is completed, madanach will be slain to complete the civil war. If done after civil war, he will remain as Ard. Other things could be done, but thats the important bits. Messing with CW and Jarls is tricky, so im wondering if it can even be done.
Can anyone help me with some issues with creation kit? I recently started modding again a while. I had some pc issues and ended up losing my previous files entirely. When i planned to mod again there were a few mods i remembered were in form 43 that needed to be converted to form 44 in order to be used properly in skyrim SE. However, the creation kit was moved from the bethesda launcher onto steam. At first i could not open it through mod manager until i used the steamapp overwrite option. After i was able to get it to finally open none of my plugins outside of the default (base game) master were detected. The creation kit executable is in the right place and directory with the "skyrim.exe". I have no idea what else to do. Is there a solution i missed?
This might be a dumb question, but did you inadvertently get the oldrim CK from steam? It should be in with SkyrimSE.exe

The short answer is that it can't. Those mods are only for LE, not SE.
the long answer is you can convert them but is it worth it?
they are saved in a ffolder thwts a long stream of letters and numbers and also labelled just as usefully
I think the question was more how do you download them into SE, and you can't using the Steam Workshop. SE doesn't support it at all.

So I have Installed the mods correctly. And now from where do I craft or equip the outfit?
Unlike Fallout 4, It had an Armour smith bench and chemistry bench from where we crafted mod outfits and armor.
So how do I do it in Skyrim ?
If I understand correctly, it could be any number of methods, depending on the mod in question. Where, in vanilla Skyrim, everything is made at the forge, modders sometimes stick with that, but sometimes they do other things. They may have broken it down into components, where you have to make leather items at the tanning rack, metal at the forge, and maybe use a kit or a spinning wheel for cloth items. Sometimes they make it so you need a specific book or item in your inventory before things will show up in crafting menus, to keep the menus cleaner. It all really depends. I could only refer you back to the mod's description page, or possibly a readme included in the archive.
Now, if it's an outfit manager, rather than mod-added clothing or armor, you would probably start with either dialog with the NPC, or possibly an MCM.
Most outfit mods will say in the description how to retrieve them. Assuming they aren't tied to a quest, crafting at the forge is most common, although many simple put the items in a chest and provide the location.

@winged pewter is that a goal? To get 150 mods? I think you should refine that a bit. Xbox has a mod storage cap. 4.5gb or something similar. A handful of huge mods takes up that space quickly. The more mods, the more risk.
I've been working on it over the course of the week. Following logical load order has cleaned up a lot, I've deleted a lot of redundant mods that are in bundles I didn't realize I had, replaced bloated utilities with smaller versions, and overall cut back like 200 MB
All I have left to do is favorite all of my mods so I can delete everything and clear my ghost space, then redownload in the correct order and test to make sure the load order works fine
Though if you don't mind I might bug you about it as I go. I'm not the best at it and given you're experienced enough to give advice I might as well take advantage of the resource

@winged pewter I have limited experience. I honestly have used the same mods for years now. I like them, they do what I want. If they’re gaudy or ridiculous I scrap them. I have crash-test dummy characters for new or different mods. You’re already using Logical Load Order. Mostly applying those rules to your mods is a good start.
I believe the live another life quest will just stay in your quest log, more or less waiting, until you're ready to investigate Helgen (or are sent there by innkeeper's rumor). Once you go to Helgen, investigate the dead adventurer and read their journal, things will kick off as normal and you'll be able to investigate the cave (*Make sure you use the outside entrance, not through the keep) and/or go to Riverwood and tell either Gerdur or Alvor, and Whiterun from there. You should find free access to Whiterun before then, but once you have the quest, you will be met by the "City's closed..." guard.
Ahh, great, thanks. I did find Whiterun open. A little bummed I didn’t have a speech check opportunity. But no great loss especially if it all sorta resets after Helgen.
Just follow the quest or not. It’s up to you. It lets you delay or skip the main quest if you don’t want to do it.
Okay one more question. Bosmers. I read on the net they don’t have an alternate start. Is that correct? I came up with a grand idea for a new game after a discovery I made with the Staff of Worms. Having a Bosmer starting in the woods is a perfect beginning. A Breton would be an acceptable alternative, but I would prefer a Wood Elf.
Yea even though camping in the woods is an option for everyone I kinda think of it as the Bosmer start if there was one. One thing with that start though is that it will start the main quest immediately due to its location being near Helgen. Good thing if you want to do the main quest. Basically a “skip Helgen” option for those that want to immediately do the main quest.
Starting the main quest doesn’t bother me much. You only have to go as far as escaping before the world is open. Except maybe Whiterun. Typically I’ll do Bleak Falls Barrow immediately from Riverwood and then I won’t do Dragon Rising for a long time.
A little vague. What are you specifically looking to accomplish? Horse mods? Horse armor?
I can be very specific in DMs but ill just say: a staff-teleportable sovngarde hero warhorse.
Bonus points if the steed has bright spots on its body approximately where theyre located on The Steed.
Even better if vampires and dark brotherhood members are not able to use the brand. RP restrictions rule.

Summon effect: a few lightning flashes or the lightning rune explosion. If the steed is not too far away, they just run instead of being summoned and no zappy happens.
Probably a solitude gold horse and adding the sovngarde ghost effects to it would be the easiest starting point. A spell to summon seems easy enough. Going from there is beyond my skills ha
Although it isn’t as fancy as lightening flashes, Convenient Horses allows you to summon your horse through the powers option. It’s one of my most favorite mods.

I like the hair options provided with Divine People of Skyrim--some of said options also give a lot of the NPCs different hairstyles too.

Something that bugs me with Skyrim.
There's not enough armor mods of Chainmail underneath a tabard or surcoat or even a tunic. There's not even a chainmail mantle for the neck either. Or Leather Gauntlet gloves and leather boots.
There isn't even a mod for the artifacts that were seen and had replacers of from Legacy of the Dragonborn. I would kind of liked to see standalone versions of those artifacts too.
And don't get me started on the Ankh items again. Those who have played Ultima deserve to have Ankhs in their Skyrim games.

I'm not aware of one specific to that scenario per-se, no, but a search on bethnet showed this mod: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4193505 Whether or not the mod does what you'd expect it to or whether it causes other quests to break, I don't know; I don't see any mention of the mod's compatibility with USSEP which is usually a bad sign since USSEP tends to touch quite a few quests and if a mod also edits those quests without forwarding the changes from USSEP you end up with some wonky problems. Just be sure to test it out first on a new save to see if it causes you any issues.

It's possible. There's only so much that can be done about that. Best I could do in that case is take another poke at OCS and see if implementing a similar trigger would work. It's a majorly annoying issue to deal with and there's obviously no guarantees since it's ultimately a game engine problem.
I know it’s not your fault. There’s only so much you can do to fix a game Bethesda made. Just reporting it just in case there is something you can do.
I can look into duplicating the USSEP trigger but there's no guarantee it'll do anything. I've still seen people mention dead NPCs even with just that.
Once a save has been modded the "modded" tag can't be removed. However, these will be put under a new "modded" character profile. To return to your unmodded saves, just remove all mods and go to the original character profile under your saved games. (If the character name is very long it may be difficult to tell the difference between the original and modded version.)

Loaded up legacy of the dragonborn amd suddenly had missing meshes. One particularly weird case was a book on belethor's counter and a flawless garnet. It is alllll good tho. All these random houses with more collector space than i know what to do with.

I woudln't suggest installing Moonpath mid-game. It makes a number of changes to high traffic areas that won't really mesh well with an existing save.

And be wary of anyone claiming a simple solution to that. It's one of those things that ended up fixing itself after a ton of legit magic bugs were addressed. So undoing that is going to reintroduce bugs.
Even the person who originally submitted the batch of fixes that ultimately led to it being blocked doesn't know why that would have done it.

It's not fixed, though, is the thing. USSEP's necromage "fix" does cause it to stop boosting enchantments erroneously, yes, but it also makes an undead player's self-targeting spells cease to benefit from the perk and NPCs lose the benefit of the perk as well when they cast spells at a vampire player. 
See for yourself. This is USSEP's "fix" to the necromage perk. The very first condition check causes it to cease functioning if the target is the player. 
Which, for enchantments, works. But it then breaks the things mentioned above in the process.
So, what would you recommend I do?
Should I install the mod to restore the Necromage perk to the way it was or should I just leave it?
So, if I install a mod to revert Necromage the way it was then I may be also reintroducing other bugs as well?
It's up to you. You know the pros and cons of each option. The necromage perk being able to affect enchantments is a legitimate bug, so restoring it would be, to me, restoring an exploit. To answer the question about reverting Necromage, no - reverting it would not do anything other than cause worn enchantments and any other spells or powers you use to be boosted by it when you're a vampire which is the vanilla (mis)functionality.
That is literally the only bug with it. All that fuss above about fixing other magic bugs magically fixing it is hogwash.
That said, if I had to choose one or the other, I'd probably opt to use USSEP and its "fix" and not use the reversion mod, as enchantments being boosted when they shouldn't be is more of a problem than losing the bonus to self-targeting spells and NPC's having their necromage perk stop working.
If the only bug is the enchantment thing then I may install it and reverse. After all my build doesn’t include enchanting. So I wouldn’t be using that exploit. Obviously if I ever made a file were the character has enchanting I would make sure to have the reversal mod disabled
Sorry, I thought you understood. I'll explain further. It affects enchanting in terms of when you wear an enchanted item. So even if you're not an enchanter per-se, if you're a vampire with the necromage perk and you wear any piece of enchanted equipment that equipment's effect (depending on the effect's configuration) may become boosted by it.
This is basically the pitfall caused by perks that have open-ended/across-the-board/blanket affects on spell magnitudes and/or durations, as the engine treats not just Spells as spells but also Powers, Abilities, Enchantments, Staff Enchantments, and Scrolls - internally, the game considers all of those to be spells and depending on their settings you can see some things being altered in ways they may not have meant to be.
So whats the word on sacrosanct and/or better vampires for xbone? Anything worthwhile?

Well there’s nothing in the mod description saying that’s a feature. There is a feature to categories food from other mods It asks you a couple questions one of them being does the food spoil

Yep, I see no mention of the word spoil anywhere on the mod page or on their extended website.
If spoilage used to be a thing, they've gone out of their way to purge any mention of it.
So I think it's safer to assume it was never a thing.

USSEP has a publicly viewable changelog you can look through.
It does not, because internal comments in the scripts for that indicate nerfing her Drain spell like that was intentional.
That was a choice Devs made? That’s weird.
Also if I remember correctly it doesn't require script changes to undo. There are condition checks in the spells themselves that you can remove.

Most of the time you can just load the mod up into the SSE Creation Kit, save it, and you're done. Other mods with things like custom textures, meshes, etc will need extra steps beyond that.

I don't think you understand. You don't need Oldrim at all. Load the oldrim mod into the SSE Creation Kit and then save it that way.
SSE by default has the DLC from LE so that isn't an issue.
As for whether a landscape will convert just fine, I'm afraid I don't know; landscape mods are not my area of expertise. It's something you'd probably have to just test on your own after you convert it.
I haven't tried to convert anything in quite a while. Is he maybe getting the issue with loading multiple masters?

Hello everyone. I am new to game chatrooms so bear with me if I do something stupid! I am playing SkyRim anniversary edition which has been awesome. I added Cyrodil on and have been playing for a week or so and I ran into a problem. I have a quest to go to The Beast's Maw to get things for Gort but when I found the cave there is a wall over the entrance. You can see the entrance arrow through the stone but there is no way to get in. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do? This is on an XBox One by the way. Thanks!

im basically running Arthmoor's Skyrim, plus a few small faves (make resto great again, treeless tundra, orcish orc strongholds, immersive ai and patrols, rdo, that sort of shtuff).
it would just make problem solving a lot easier if i could export it before i make changes.

If there truly is no mod for it out there, and you can't get an author with AE to oblige then it may simply fall on your shoulders now to become the author to make such a mod. If it helps, I can tell you that it would actually be on the easy side of mod creation in terms of difficulty.

I've never used Trua, but "Wintersun- Faiths of Skyrim" is a must-have mod in all of my playthroughs.
Trua is great for a simple, paired down religion mod. Wintersun is fun too. But Pilgrim - A Religion Overhaul is the one for me.

Is there a workaround for stopping ally NPC’s from attacking me during the Fort Urok quest when fighting the elite guards? I’m on Xbox so I can’t use console commands. I thought it was my rat king perk so I disabled that, I then left all of my followers in another location so they wouldn’t attack the allies, I also tried using some calming spells but that didn’t work either. I’d really like to be able to finish the main storyline of Falskaar, any help is greatly appreciated.

The "operation couldn't be completed" error seems to occur right after a mod is released or updated. So if someone keeps updating the mod, it's likely to make the issue persist rather than go away.
Both times I've encountered this issue myself on Xbox I existed the game, re-launched, and was able to update successfully.
I tried that and it didn't work.
I can't update mods as long as this problem persists.
Golden Dwemer Pipeworks Redone needs updating but I can't update it otherwise it's "operation could not be completed".

Because now I have the Unofficial Patch to Update.
I've had a couple of folks in other servers who said they downloaded it successfully.
If I get a "operation could not be completed" on that, Many of the mods I use will end up disabled and It will corrupt my game.
I'm doing a test of deleting the mod that needed updating and reinstalling and that worked will for Golden Dwemer Pipeworks Redone.
The test worked for both the Unofficial Patch and Golden Dwemer Pipeworks Redone.
But JK's Interiors AiO will not reinstall for me. And not one of the solutions that I tried work.
You may need to let Cartogriffi know on that one then so he can have someone look into what's wrong.

Yes. You are on Xbox correct. It a city overhaul bundle. Might makes the cities, towns and villages different enough for you to use instead of JKs interiors AIO.
Another nice Xbox option is modified inns city and town. Just does inns but make a nice difference. Well done.
But I did have enough for the modified inns, cities and towns. I even got an ELFX Patch for it too.

I can't uninstall or disable the mod either because it might corrupt my save.

Well, if you're certain that it should otherwise be open and is closed due to a bug you could use something like TCL in Debug Menu to clip through the door.
I just disabled the mod and then reenabled after I got through the area where it was gated off at.

Just to make sure you realize that you will need a new game when reinstalling JKs interiors AIO.

I read in the USSEP changelog that some of the Unofficial Creation Club patches (or portions of) were being integrated. Does that result in a redundancy if I have the Unofficial Creation Club patch also installed? Can I safely uninstall Rare Curios as an example?

That’s been a huge issue downloading for Xbox. The AIO package has been on the fritz for several days. I needed to download all the individual patches, which work fine. But the AIO still has trouble as of this morning.
The AIO isn’t updated yet with the shift to USSEP anyways.
So i updated the unofficial Skyrim patch and the improved dialogue Lydia mod no longer works....
Right but USSEP was updated with the CC shift on 6/18.
So it needs another update.

Not anymore, no. You won't need his patch for Rare Curios or Saints & Seducers either.

So I’m having problems downloading USSEP on Xbox, I remember seeing something in this chat saying to report the issue here, basically when I attempted to download the latest version of the mod some process bugged out and I got a operation could not be completed message, note, I only noticed the bug after realizing that some mods I’m using such as open cities and alternate start weren’t enabling due to USSEP not being installed and attempting to reinstall it had the same issue

There are 2 versions for PC: 1k (a few BIG textures are 4k, some 2k and most are 1k) is 1.7GBs when archived and the full-res version is 5.7 GBs when archived.
I am not sure about the full unarchived size.
Even the 1k version offers better quality while not taking a bit more of PC's resources.

If you get to the Wall (or any big object) as close as possible, you will notice the significant difference between 1k and full-res (I assume it is 2k-4k) even on a FHD display.

4k is the number of rows of pixels. It is about 4000, or 4 times the number of 1080. So a close up, seeing 1/4 of the image, will still look crispy if it is 4k. If it was just hd, a close-up will be rather pixelated, as each pixel is four times larger.
4k is the number of pixels in each horizontal row. So 4k usually means 4096 (each horizontal row) x 2160 (each vertical row), but when it comes to the textures, 4k is not a concrete term as a texture (most often) can be of any rectangular shape.

It usually means that one of the dimensions is +- 4k in a row. But the other one isn't always 2160. For example, 4096x4096 texture is called 4k, as well as 4096x512.

Here is what the mod adds: Outside traitor’s post there is a bench to sit. Once you do you appear in a different area
but as you get close to the building that you now see in front of you the game crashes

I just uninstalled all the creation club. I’ll use LAL so I’ll be close by and see if I still have issues.

You can just download all the CC mods except that one. Which one is the conflict? Your choice. But no I would not recommend using both based on what you have reported.

I don't see anything at first glance in the file that would make it incompatible with worldspace mods. It's main edits center around an area in the northeast part of the map.
So are you thinking the crashing issues are with the mod itself?
That's a possibility. Incompatibilities don't normally result in CTDs, just a mess in certain places.

Better Vampires for sure. It has lots of customization to it. A large file but it’s the best vampire mod I’ve used on Xbox.
I wouldn’t be too insulted from that loathing comment by someone else. I recall having a hard time adjusting when I first used USSEP after years of not. But absolutely won’t play without it anymore. I appreciate the hard work you do to keep it running.

Xbox player here with a mod request. I'm looking for a mod that lets you skip the "Season Unending" quest in the main story where you have to get the Imperials and Stormcloaks by hosting a peace council with the Greybeards.
Basically have the Jarl of Whiterun (Balgruuf or Vignar depending on who you side with) act as though the Civil War quest has been completed in it's entirety when you talk to him, regardless of the current state of the war.

What is LOTD about?
My name is there in the descripition on the Xbox version page. I resigned before publishing because further support would require porting many many patches and etc., so it was uploaded and is now maintained by another modder.
It's about storing your collection of artifacts in the Dragonborn Museum (in Solitude) and setting up and ruling the Explorers guild.

You should not overload your LO as LOTD is very script-heavy, which can even lead to CTD sometimes.

Legacy of the Dragonborn is a terrific mod. It is almost like a new game all by itself. I have built whole playthroughs around doing nothing but LotD. For anyone (like myself) who is more interested in exploring than in following a heavily scripted linear story, LotD is fantastic.

No idea . Whatever mod you have that modifies stormcloak armors. Lots of possibilities. Only you k LE what mods you are using.
Load your entire load order in xedit. Open Skyrim.esm, go to the Armor Addons tab, find StormCloakGlovesAA and see which, if any, mods touch them. The right-most column will be the winner. Then check that mod, to be sure the models have been assigned to the addon, and/or check to see if any assets included with the mod are present.

If you load a save that previously was with mods, many changes brought by them will (usually do) remain. You should start a new game after deleting any scripted mods (not meshes and/or textures).

A while back, I reported that several Stormcloak soldiers began suffering from “invisible hand syndrome”. After some investigation, I determined that the mesh for Fur Gauntlets was somehow missing. After examining the file in xEdit, I’ve discovered that it was somehow tied to Survival mode. If this is still tied to mods, let me know.

I'm not sure what you're asking about but here's the Nexus mod page for AFT.
I even tried to play with the Xbox Adaptive Controller when I got it set up it took me hours to complete a quest out of the hundreds of quests in the game. Compare to mobile games with good dynamic touch screen controls I can play well just like the game Minecraft PE or Call of Duty Mobile. These dynamic touch screen control features allow me and others to play PC and console games without watching others play for us.
Apart from waiting and hoping that Starfield will get touch controls through Xcloud, using a mobile gamepad app that connects to a PC might work.
Do you mean something like touchfox or touchjoy, where the controller buttons are placed on the touch screen?
The problem is that I can't program the buttons to do two things at once on an iPad Pro.
Also, these applications don't have the game in the background of the application. This is another problem with using a hat pointer which limits your eye site. My hat pointer is a stylus attached to a rod, which is attached to my hat.
Forgive me if this is a dumb suggestion, or if you've already checked it out and it doesn't work for you, but this says it has steam options and the forums were active as recently as yesterday. Maybe it could work alongside of your pointer?

@karmic path Hello, been using your Jorrvaskr Armory mod on PS4 and so far loving it. Great space with good number of options for display and is honestly on of the better mods I have found for displays. The only issue I am having is with the weapon racks in the rooms with the mannequins. While they don't "eat" my weapons like your mods description says can happen, they do pop the weapons off the rack if I stay out of the room for a long enough time period (about 10-15 mins or so). It gets a little annoying having to pick them back up and place them back on the rack so for now I just avoid using them. This occurs even when this is the only mod being applied to the current character, whether it had mods applying and had them turned off or if it was the only mod ever applied for that playthrough. Mod description said to reach out if there was an issue noticed so here I am reaching out. Dunno if this is a known issue or not though.
That would be a good idea for me but I have difficulty speaking. This is why I am asking for a mod or developer to make dynamic touch screen controls for the game.

Hey 🙂 sorry you’re having an issue. This is with the weapon racks and not the plaques? I wish I had an explanation but I’ve never had an issue with the racks. Some weapons don’t play nice at all with displaying due to havoc. Is it only happening with certain weapons? I will also double check but I’m almost positive the cell is no reset so nothing should fall off due to that.
@karmic path , yes it is the racks and not the plaques. As for weapons, it seems to do it with every weapon so far from swords, axes, and maces as well as their two handed counter parts and staves. At first I thought it was maybe some sort of conflict with a few of the mods I am using with it despite non of them touching display mechanics or Jorrvaskr but it still did it when I played a fresh file with only it loaded. As for when it occurs, not exactly sure. I can exit the room and re enter it right away and the weapons will stay on the racks, but if I leave for approx. 10-15 mins (thats about the shortest time I've exited and then gone back on both saves) the weapons will be on the floor when I return.
That’s wild. I will do some more testing when I get home to my PS4 but I’ve never experienced this aside from some select weapons like the ebony blade and the staff of corruption and a couple others. When you enter a cell after a bit, the weapons are being re attached to the displays (like you can actually hear it sometimes) Have you tried other weapon racks from other places? Again sorry for the headache 🤕 I’ll look into it and get back to you when I can.
No worries and no I haven't really given it much of a try on other racks yet though there were a couple of weapons on racks outside Alvor's house in Riverwood that also popped off. I noticed this on my original playthrough with all the mods but never bothered to check it on the second one where only this mod was loaded.
didn't really give it any thought and didn't think it could be related. Just looked at it and thought, "thats weird" and moved on. Still might be unrelated so who knows.
Well the ones by Alvor are a little different anyways because you can’t place anything on them yourself. But if you have any other player home or area with racks that you could put stuff on, it would be a great help in narrowing down what’s going on. It could be something like a loading issue with things going weird when the weapons are trying to re attach to the racks.
So I’ve been trying my darnedest to reproduce this and I can’t. I’ve filled every rack with every weapon type imaginable and everything just stays no matter how long, short, or type of loading screen when loading into the place. I honestly want to say it’s an issue with loading and attaching and not the actual racks themselves. Are you on PS4, PS4 pro, or PS5?

USSEP limits how much alchemy and enchantments can affect each other. So yes.
on scale 1-10 how safe would it be to disable ussep mid playthru 10= dangerous

I’m trying to make a mod for SE using Skyrim Creation kit on steam. I try to open it after downloading it but it immediately crashes I am unsure what to do. Is there another step in setting it up that isn’t mentioned?

Are you using Skyrim Creation Kit under the tools tab, or Skyrim Special Edition: Creation Kit under the software tab?

If you're using SE you would need the one from software. I don't know if it shows up until downloaded from the store page though. In your steam library, click on Skyrim SE and there should be a store page button up top, near the discussion and other tabs. You can get ck64 there.

I like to occasionally bring up Wabbajack here. It's great. Installs lists of mods. There are many lists for many games. Probably something to suite your tastes that exceeds your own willingness or ability to mod. I use Elysium Remastered. Also strongly recommend Septimus 3. Both Vanilla feeling packs. One uses Enai, other uses Simon. Enai one has very high system requirements. Simon one has very low system requirements.

Wagering a guess, since it is essentially "another game", it probably falls under the no advertising rule.

It is, but it also isn't.
It essentially wipes the base game and uses Skyrim as an engine to build a new game with.
Because of that, it's not an Elder Scrolls game as such.
I kinda wanted to avoid asking here, but I've tried searching everywhere and tried the Nexus forums with no success unfortunately. I'm not sure if anyone else has ever had issues getting custom shouts to unlock via dragon souls? I have a word wall set up that teaches a word of power, but it nets an instant crash to desktop upon using a normal dragon soul to unlock said word. I can't find any differences in my editor setup with Bethesda's shouts, so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. Other people have had the same issue online, but they never explain what they did to fix it. 😅
(I can unlock and use the word via console commands though.)

Chances are high you've missed a step or setting somewhere if you're encountering a crash.

i just want people to know that Enderal Forgotten Stories SE is one of the best skyrim mods u dont even need to have Skyrim installed. It comes with a 800+ page cannon prequel novel too. The amount of lore is insane. Made for free by a dev team of 7...SEVEN.
if you have Steam you can just install if from there, no mods or nothing just click install and boom your done.

Not knocking you for liking it but, it removes skyrim for a completely different game. It’s on the same level as the joke mod that prevents Skyrim from launching. I don’t doubt it’s an awesome game but this is a Skyrim mod discord channel lol
