Alright I'm just going to go out and ask this, this probably have been answered before but here me out here. So I've been hearing some rumors about Bethesda either planning or wanting to plan on remaking or remastering TES4: Oblivion. That sounds great some would say, but for those in the modding community knows that around I think 2025 a team of modders plan on releasing a full remake of the same game built up from Skyrim's game engine and I kind of got into some worry here.

My worry is that if the rumors turn out to be true and Bethesda does eventually remakes/remaster Oblivion, what does that entail for Skyblivion? Like would Skyblivion be safe since the game as a whole has been all build from the ground up using just the Skyrim engine and Bethesda's Re-Blivion would just be there mostly for console players and those who wants a more "simplified" version of a remade Oblivion, or will Bethesda just march on in and shut the entirety of Skyblivion down after years the devs of Skyblivion spent on because it is cutting in on their profits despite that Skyblivion is overall free? Just something that has been bothering me as of late.

I'm not saying that the devs of Skyblivion should stop, believe me given the choice and from what I've seen on how Bethesda "remastered" Skyrim compared to how Beyond Skyrim has done it, I'm going all in on Skyblivion 100%. I'm just worried about the legality of it all, if Bethesda is fully aware that a team of modders have spend years rebuilding Oblivion from the ground up using the Skyrim engine and plans on releasing it to the public for free all while their "Remastered" Oblivion is in the works should the rumors be true.

Amazing Follower Tweaks. Okay nvm then. I thought it it’s AFT, otherwise with that: talk to her and you should see the tweak options, go to actions, and then find dismiss.

I use AFT and it’s really great for all followers, should work for modded followers like Indigo.

You have a different mod, idk what that mod is all about? I’m referring to AFT and its options. If mods are back, I’d recommend AFT (Amazing Follower Tweaks). It’s popular and it works good, you can dismiss them without issues. Just use the tweak options and not vanilla dialogue.

Also you can have more than one follower. You can have 5 of them altogether! Also Relationships Dialogue Overhaul or RDO is amazing with or without AFT. I would recommend RDO too.

When Bethesda updates their game, mods break so mod authors have to fix their own mods. Not all of the modders are out there, but people like Arthmoor are still there. When you go to the mod page, sometimes they’ll be an update section like others such as weapons, armor, etc. there you’ll see which mods needed to be updated and you can update them there.

Well you can still use a mod organizer. All that does is organize the esp files anyway so it should work just fine

Manual install isnt even that bad. I did it when my xbox died and the only bethesda game my old computer could handle was Morrowind. So i did manual installs for mods for that and then used a mod organizer to change my load order

From Enai id definitely recommend their Ordinator, Imperious, and apocalypse. They make all the races have new and unique things, ordinator makes pretty much all skills viable for any type of play style , and apocalypse makes so many unique and fun spells (and I almost always play a mage so that means a lot for me.)

I also recommend either Hunterborn or Simple Hunting Overhaul as it adds some more fun to the Survival experience and allows you to hunt for your meals. Hunterborn by default passes time while you are prepping and skinning and harvesting animals tho

Ineed can allow for food spoilage and lets you tie even mod added items to the system so most new food and drink mods are compatible

No, you can use CC content on PC you just can't access the in-game mods menu or CC menu. As long as you're either using a third-party mod manager or modding manually (not recommended at all) then the maintenance has no effect on you.

You can, yes, but know that in order to use vortex's load ordering you have to run the game via vortex (afaik). Same thing for MO2, etc etc.

Mod-managers are usually all or nothing. If you use a mod manager then you usually don't use the in-game mod menu.

You can still download mods from bethesda's site, mind you, as bethesda's site does have PC mods, but ideally you would use the website instead of the in-game manager and then install the downloaded mods via the third-party mod manager.

Or, I suppose, you can probably download bethnet mods via the in-game menu as well, you just wouldn't use the in-game menu to change load order, etc, you'd exit the game first then use the external mod manager then load the game again via the mod manager. Something like that.

It was before maintenance started at what not, I had just disabled certain mods at the time since I didn't want them running until I got my friend on. But it sounds like if I just open it through SKSE (after checking vortex,) everything should work

Unrelated but I've also noticed that with both Skyrim and Fallout 4, if I close the game, I have to restart the console to be able to launch it again. Going into "Manage game and add-ons" I normally see "(My Account) 250.4 MB" and "Reserved space 5.0 GB" but after closing the game it shows nothing

If that's happening, launch another game and then close it then relaunch either skyrim or fallout 4 and it should let you back in witbout needing to reset the console

Have you also tried doing a powercycle? You shut down the console, unplug the power for 30 seconds, then restart. That clears up most memory cache issues

It works the way I recommended too. It happens to me when i reorganize my mods or download a load of new ones. You just need to give the console something else to load

It just looked quite unreal, have a gander on youtube, it has it's own installer as well like Wabbajack so as long as you have the Nexus membership it's an easy install as well, very user friendly and multiple options on how you want the game to be while prepping to install
