I do not believe there is a way to download older versions with Skyrim, I made my own instance of Skyrim with Steam before it updated knowing Rare Curios would break all my animation mods. So one folder gets the AE updates that breaks mods, and another folder has the 1.597 version that has the snot modded out of it lol and never gets updated.

Some games have ways of playing older versions using Steam BETA options, but Bethesda does not do this. It is a cheap way of bypassing Steams forced updates.

Looks like the FO4 version is the only one still on nexus. I googled what appeared to be the same mod, but always get the "not found" or "deleted" page. My guess is the Skyrim SE version(s) ...looks like Sanguinaire, Sanguinaire revised version, and Sanguinaire Reborn (alpha) are all gone.

Well FO4 version on nexus there was 2 of each fo4 and skyrim both got taken down and replaced with updates though now the updated one for skyrim is down to but hopefully its back up probly a update

Possibly. A few weeks ago, I'd be concerned about the difference between "cannot be found" / (deleted) in the URL bar, and 'hidden while being updated,' but they changed a whole bunch of stuff recently, and nothing is really acting the way I would expect it to, so it could very well be coming back. You might sign in and shoot the author a PM, see if they're able to clarify their intent, so you can wait or move to something else.

OK, I've revamped the Ring (and Scrolls) of Quest-Fixing a bit: scrolls are now named by in-game quest rather than their behind-the-scenes quest names, and they no longer have weight so they can all be carried at once if desired.
I've also uploaded it for XBox. Even though there are already Quest Debugger mods, some may find the Ring (and Scrolls) of Quest-Fixing easier to use for those bugs it allows you to fix (for example, I do 😁).
I plan to catch up on my request queue for this mod shortly, as well.

Are you PC? Sadly for a console user I’m limited to what I can do with this situation. I tuned off auto updates for the console and games & apps, idk if I can play the game without needing to update it because regardless of what I’ll do to updates, it’ll force me to do it manually.

For console users, is there a way to stay in certain versions of Skyrim or go to a certain version of it (I think it’s v1.5.97) without being forced to update it? I know PC users can do that on Steam. I use Xbox.

Okay! I was working on my LO before this and thankfully I was prepared. If anyone doesn’t touch their LO, if I don’t touch my LO, we all should be okay with what we have now. Mods shouldn’t be stripped off from your LO if the marketplace was added, no you should be able to keep them. It wouldn’t make sense if your mods suddenly disappeared off from you LO lol. Hopefully they’ll stay where they are after this.

I’ve been testing my game really good so I don’t make a new game constantly because some mods don’t work and out of fear of disabling them in mid game, I don’t want corruptions in the saves. I know it’s usually okay to do that, but I prefer not to have further issues with that.

There’s also Character Creation Overhaul. It brings back Onlivion’s Birthsigns and class. Really good and it works great with Imperious of you don’t have the CC Overhaul’s add ons.

Wanna do a completionist playthrough with Legacy of The Dragonborn with damn near every display addition that I can add to it, but I'm bad at making load orders lol, and it takes wayy too long to organize everything. Plus I wanna add most of Enai's mods.

I recently tested this mod, idk if your an Xbox user like me or something else, but I used a mod called “Apothecary - An Alchemy Overhaul AiO” idk if that works for you if it’s ever available for other platforms. There’s some new potions you can make and the effects of them are different than vanilla.

You can get plenty far with the free tools! Just depends on the type of thing your doing that dictates if have other expenses. I use Adobe Animate for UI stuff and the tools are expensive, but thats a tiny element modding. Thats why I was asking about other peoples specific expenses.

they don't, because Nexus staff understands that having a highly lucrative payout system will incentivise people to make low-effort rips of eachother's work in an attempt to DP farm (even more than they already do.)

I'm not sure I follow. Nexus isn't something you have to have running while you play, if that's what you mean. You just create a free account, log in and download the mods you want. Vortex, the current mod manager, is not required. Can do manual or any other mod manager you like.

I still do manual. Granted my data folder looks like a calculator puked in it, but it's perfectly doable.

you might be able to do it in vanilla try this qoute (This is a very cool trick that allows you to be both a Vampire Lord and a Werewolf, with the perks from both classes. I did not discover this, it is already common knowledge on the wiki, but i searched Reddit for a guide and did not find one, so here you go. I'll try to make it as simple as possible, though every step counts. You may want to save periodically in case you mess up.

Become a Vampire Lord, and get to the Chasing Echoes quest of the Dawnguard Questline, to the part right before you enter the portal.

Complete the Companions questline up until the part where you are told to meet with Skjor at the Underforge.

Meet him with Serana as your follower, and enter the forge. This is the important part, so SAVE HERE in case you mess up. Have your Vamp Lord form readied. When you are told to drink the blood, simultaneously select the blood, and activate Vampire Lord form. If you do not do these at the exact same time, it may mess up. If this happens, just reload the save and try again.

After a loading screen you will appear outside in Werewolf form and, if you did the last step correctly, will burst into Vampire Lord form a few seconds later. Quickly revert back to human form and ask Serana to turn you into a Vampire Lord.

Now go back into Werewolf form and wait until your time runs out, just like you normally would in this quest.)

In cases where an uploaded mod has broken the TOS, such as a pirated mod or otherwise, and people download it before it gets banned, then I do believe that Bethesda can also drop that content from your Xbox console. But thats hardly the same as data-loss post maintenance. Not the same at all.

It depends what's being maintained and what problems are found when doing it - and thus what needs to be altered/replaced/reprogrammed/restored etc.

Well i used to work for Lam research you can feel free to look them up and fact check me, but they build the machines that make semiconductors and ship them out to Tsmc samsung and intel and i built those machines for a year , their were a few pilot machines that were in the works for some super small chips i think like 4-5nm that much i don’t Remember exactly , but the ability to put it at scale is abysmal

i live in a country where internet access is metered, and that internet access is further limited by time. in order for me to actually play skyrim and connect to the internet, it costs me doubly - on top of living in a place without a whole lot going for it, without money to burn. it is a genuine inconvenience. don't downplay other peoples' experiences for the sake of pushing a 'kumbaya' perspective

i cannot. i need to shift my load order in order to actually play without crashing. the internet was down for several days here, and i opted to purchase internet availability based on when bethesda said they'd be doing maintenance. a lack of communication is a problem for those of us from places where we don't have the privilege of consistent internet access. at the end of the day, i just want to play the dumb game.

Behavioral animation replacers for NPCs, as well as AI expansions. Racial modifications help also when it comes with a variety in heights depending on the race.

tbh the length isn't the issue. i'd be happy to wait. but, for better or worse, bethesda's communication style doesn't really benefit those of us who don't have western internet availability. accurate timeframes and communication are a part of good engagement - and if you're gonna engage with people outside the west, it might be worth communicating important information like ETA's. ultimately, it's a videogame. but after a long week, it's discouraging. i'm sure you get what i mean

I definitely favour better NPC's over better looking NPC's, but also wanna make them look better too lol, I think I used to have a mod called no blocky faces or something like that before, and skin textures, just wondering how much improvement there's been in that department in the last 2-3 years

The problem is the nature of the beast is that they almost always can't give an accurate timeframe because even with routine maintenance there's a chance for things to suddenly bork up and go very wrong in weird and unexpected ways, requiring them to do more than anticipated to bring the service back online.

An example of what Skyler says being that you connect up a new server rack, and all the fuses blow, meaning you've got to rewire the damned thing, and possibly get new drives - and upload the data again.

I tried all tree mods and was only satisfied with one that has been in the WIP section forever. I used DAWN. Tends to be too bright. I like the look of NAT
