Brown face bug, really common and infamous, at least a bit funny when you've seen it enough. Most commonly the mod added that NPC, made face changes and didn't put the face tint maps in the mod download.

I have a question of ToS..

I have a mod that includes the Dibella Statue in this Vampire player home

It's in the game already but the Dibella Statue has nips.

I don't wanna break the ToS by having nudity involved

It was weird, because the description wasn’t even piping up in the lo, seems Bethesda removed it or something, because I booted up the game and it said my load order changed and that mod caused it, but normally that doesn’t happen when Bethesda removes a mod

They’ve been “burning” mods that violate the ToS in that fashion for years now, but Carto using that term is the first time I’ve heard it. We used to call it “blacklisting”, but burned is probably more appropriate.

As Carto states in the modding general channel, it’s only normally used in what they consider to be extreme cases of ToS violation, such as nudity.

Hey guys, can you offer some advice about where my plugins should go in my load order? I already sorted them with LOOT, but I want to be sure they're all in the right place. Every past CollegeEntry.esp hasn't been touched or moved except by LOOT. I'm using MO2 to manage my mods.

I don't use any of them. I tried I think Warzones and I couldn't get anything else in the game done. I also tried the populated Skyrim civil war, but lagged out badly when it got to the major battles. I have a butt ton of population mods in, including all the remaining populated series AND the populated reborn series, so double everything, NPCs Travel, Immersive Patrols, a few wandering follower mods, and some other stuff, and it seems to work pretty well. When you get 100 people in one cell, though...wooo

If you have a bunch of population mods, and your NPCs are having lip sync issues and/or levitating up into the air en masse, actor limit fix will take care of that. As far as I know, it's not needed if you have a normal amount of NPCs.

Have you taken a look at Mod Organizer 2? I am told it has profiles. I don't use mod installers so I am not familiar with how it works, but MO2 may do something similar to what you want. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6194

Speaking of house upgrades are there mods that remove build limit for house building? I been looking for one for years since Hearthfire came out and I never found one. Only one I found was a gardening plot one I think. I want to build a 5 story house or a 20 story house or whatever.

Does anyone have familiarity with the cheat room mod? Im primarily an XB1 user tho. With the mod- im trying to get named npcs (or actors as they’re called, i think). The four i was working on, was the 4 named dragons (saroothaar, vulks.. something, and the two dragons from the ice lake dawnguard). With no luck on understanding how, much less doing it with bringing them back, i opted to check the ice lakes and was lucky to find the corpses there still- to just simply resurrect them. Got what I needed, now leaves the last two. The vul… something, was the dragon alduin revives at a mound between sleeping tree camp/bloated man grotto. The sarothaar, from miraak.

What Im struggling is getting them to revive but ill need the corpses which either isnt there anymore or i cannot find (case with Vuljotnaak). The cheat room mod seems to have commands where i can reset cell, spawn actors, etc etc. im hoping i can spawn those two dragons in somehow and of course remove them, if anyone knows how.

In addition to that, i’ll need the same for spawning the dark brotherhood contracts kill- mainly for the skulls for display museum.

Hoping someone familiar with it, or knows how- can help. Im terribly bad at all this, wholly new territory for me still

Assuming you haven't already found the answers by now, one of the easiest ways to get the correct IDs for NPCs is by looking them up in the UESP wiki, and the ID you want is what's known as the "RefID" (which is short for "Reference ID"). For instance, the page for Sahrotaar (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Sahrotaar) lists over on the right-hand side a RefID of "xx031834". The "xx" is a placeholder for a value known as the "mod index" which is the place in your game's load order that a particular plugin (plugin = mod data file) is found. Since this is something from the Dragonborn DLC and the base game plugins are 99.99% of the time loaded in a specific order this value is "04" resulting in a RefID of "04031834". Searching for the names of the other NPCs you're trying to find should help you reach the wiki pages for them and find their own RefIDs. As for how to use the Cheat Room mod, I cannot help you with that as I've never used that mod myself; I presume there are tutorials on Youtube for it that may be useful to you. Alternatively, there is another debugging mod on XB1 called Debug Menu (https://mods.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/mod-detail/4240482) that I am familiar with so if you decide to try that one feel free to ask me questions on how to use it. Debug Menu is, per the name, a debugger mod made primarily to address the lack of a command console like what PC players get, but on XB1. It implements many of the console commands available on PC, but in a quickly-usable and user-friendly way (you open the menu via either a Power or via a book, depending on your preference, and select things from there, instead of having to travel to another location, etc); there are also other debugging features and convenience menus to allow performing various debug activities in more convenient ways than having to enter codes and such.

In terms of your situation it basically makes it possible to attempt to fix the bugs you're encountering through various means - in particular, if you are on a UESP page and see instructions noted in bugs sections for how to solve the problem on PC using console commands you can usually follow those same steps on XB1 via the mod using the available commands.

As for the ring, after googling it I see that it is an item from LOTD. While it's certainly possible to spawn a new copy of the ring, I'd advise to first look into the matter with those who are familiar with that mod and see if it's a bug and what their advice is for resolving the issue (I don't have or use LOTD so I know very little about it, sorry).

Im also curious how you’re finding those info, as i looked on nexusmods and even google but most will describe the surface of things and not in depth. I couldnt even find much info anywhere on much mods, other than their surface contents

It's called "Debug Menu" and afaik it should be fine to discuss this here. penth As for the info, I just google key phrases and things are usually in the first couple results. E.g. I entered "skyrim ring of zurin" and the first result is the LOTD wiki page regarding it. In order to spawn another copy of the ring you just have to look up its FormID then enter it into the AddItem command for the Player.

However, I'd still suggest checking with the people who specifically work on that mod or are otherwise knowledgeable. I believe they have their own discord server, but I don't know what the address is; it should be findable via google.

Prior to that, i actually looked it up as is and found it haha. So now i have it installed, how would I go about spawning the kill contracts npcs from DB and the two remaining named dragons i needed?

I know you said i needed the refID, which i understand but the “xx” throws me off a bit. I understand that barely but not enough.

Id love to know how to do the add items command too- as some items i got are either bugged or lost, or worse-past progression.

As noted above, the "xx" is a placeholder where you are meant to input what is known as the "mod index". The method for finding out the mod index is, unfortunately, rather tedious: You start by counting beginning at "00" for the first game file, Skyrim.esm. Then increment by 1 for each file after it in order. So for instance Update.esm is 01, Dawnguard.esm is 02, HearthFires.esm is 03, and Dragonborn.esm is 04. Usually that is then followed by CC files and/or the mods you've installed.

However, I also added a different way of entering formIDs that does not require finding out the mod index - instead, you need to find out the mod's filename. On console, this can be achieved by disabling the mod then trying to load a save that had that mod active - the warning that pops up includes the filename for the mod: https://i.imgur.com/UKMQzRQ.png Once you have that information, then when you go to select, say, the AddItem command it'll ask you for a formID and you can opt to enter it via that filename instead of mod index. As a result, you do not need to enter a value in the "xx" part of the formID because the game will look up the mod's index# via the filename instead. The AddItem command for the player, btw, can be found by opening the debug menu then going to the following submenus: Commands -> Player -> ABC -> AddItem.

I aak because im still left with how exactly id implement the command menus if i need to know file names. Is it only file names of whatever im commanding from, i need? So example, i want to spawn sarothaar so id need the dragonborn file name? (I have anniversary edition with all CC in- would not know how i can find the file if its included base game) Vuljotthaak i think is base game skyrim, while the dark brotherhood main kill contracts is also base game. The only mod item i currently need due to either a mistake on my end or lost/bugged is from LOTD so id assume that id disable the mod and get that file name then reenable it and console command the item in with that file name.

Regarding your question, you don't need to use the filename method for the main base game files skyrim.esm, update.esm, dawnguard.esm, hearthfires.esm, and dragonborn.esm as they are pretty much always the same mod index on everyone's game. But, for CC files you actually can only enter formIDs via their filenames because there is an engine bug that causes CC formIDs to be regarded as invalid by the game. Fortunately, the filenames for CC mods are all listed in the UESP wiki.

As for the dark brotherhood thing, that's also something you'd want to look up in the UESP wiki. Pages for quests and NPCs usually have the relevant formIDs listed.

Anyone knows if graphics pack by Skeletor2017 will collide with other mods like LOTD, and almost all of LOTD’s content/additional content? I know i read somewhere that some graphic packs can not work together with some mods. I wasnt sure of it, so asking specifically.

Hard to say based on just that information alone. If a cell has been set up to perform some sort of actions based on you entering normally such as via a specific door or somesuch, potentially you could fail to trigger that from the use of COC as that generally involves teleporting to specific markers for the COC command that are usually in other locations in a cell.

Main issue I’ve heard about is that it can be tough to avoid eventual crashing in the museum once you start to fill it up with treasure. Requires a very light load order. Optimized textures needed and avoid SMIM/high poly/3D mods that might affect any thing inside to reduce strain on your system.
I’ve only barely started the mod so I haven’t gotten to any possible crashes yet. Bit sounds like a common problem.

Really hope xb1 gets more mod space soon, there’s still some mods i want and even a mod that’s part of LOTD that i cant get cause of mod limits and all my mods are mostly LOTD related lol. The one mod i couldnt get and probably going to be expressively disappointed in not getting, is the telvanni home/quest or something, from LOTD. Heck, even the graphics pack (not lotd related) were pretty cool and nice but 1k MB memory, that’ll effectively take half or so of xb1’s available mod space.

Project AHO mod is the one mod i couldnt download due to no space (597 something MB i think, and space left is 350 something.) I even scoured to see what i could remove but almost everything is part of LOTD and im stuck. Oh well. Including its patch too if it was downloaded.

Yea it’s not impossible to use both. Just limits any other large mods you might want to size. Graphics, weapons, armors, etc.

Well believe it or not, this is my first time modding at all, and with skyrim no less lol. In the entire time skyrim’s been out, i never had the ussep when it came out and even then i have an okay time. The game was extensively buggy as known for, particularly dragons and certain questlines/quests. But knowing how to work with that, around that, i could actually beat a game near complete if not completely. That was all on PlayStation, now im on xb1 with AE Skyrim. After beating the game- i then tried mods out to see if that resparks my skyrim fires and it definitely did haha

I have wintersun too, artifacts ten tournament, cloaks of skyrim, clockwork, konahrik accoutrements, aetherium armor/weapon, tools of kagrenac, immersive artifacts by zim, ktonia unique weapons, oblivion artifacts, royal armory, mystical scholarship MCow. Those are all part of displays you can have at LOTD so thats why i got em. Theres still a few more that i couldnt find on xb1, but besides that i have a cheat room mod for items i already passed quests on and such, and obsidian weathers and both of those last two are small memories.

How would i use the set stage command with debug menu in xb1? The repairing the white phial bugged with the briar heart and on uesp it says to setstage command. But with debug menu, there’s a text menu to put in first before i can put that formID of setstage. What do i put in that text menu?

btw feel free to ping me when you have questions about debug menu so I can eventually respond - i don't always watch the channels here and can miss things entirely otherwise. For the quest commands, basically you need to input the quest's FormID first, which you can find by looking it up in one of the skyrim database websites using the quest's EditorID from the UESP wiki etc. So, for instance on the UESP page for the white phial quest it lists an "ID" at the top of "MS12" - that is the EditorID. Then, you look up one of the databases like this one: https://cslist.uesp.net/index.php?game=sr&rec=QUST and input "MS12" into the search box. You will then see the record's data at the top and you'll see both the EditorID again and underneath it the FormID. In this case, the formID is shown as "0x0002c258". Now, before you input that, there is some parsing for you to do. First, you remove the "0x" part. Then you can (but don't have to) remove the leading zeroes - that is the zeroes at the start until you reach non-zero digits. In this case, that means removing "000" after the "0x", resulting in a formID of "2c258" - that is the formID you then input into the setstage command.

The reason for this, btw, is that there is no accessible function for mods to use to look up quests by their EditorID, so unfortunately using the formID is required. Eventually I'll set up a table that'll allowed using the EditorID, but as that has to be done manually it'll take quite a while and is a low priority for now.

Regarding quest commands, generally you want to try and have things progress as naturally as possible if you can - commands for editing quests are meant to be the absolute last resort for a variety of reasons relating to just how much data is affected by quests and changes that can end up getting missed/skipped sometimes by forcing stages to complete. If a quest is pointing you to a specific NPC, you'd basically want to try and locate the NPC first - usually (but not always) they'll have a known unique RefID you can target to either teleport to where they are or teleport to them, etc.

That depends on if the ID in question is from CC or not and whether you have the filename or not. The filename can be more convenient in large load orders since you don't have to try and count out the mod index, and if the ID in question is from CC then using the filename is actually required.

Besides above post, i seem to still be confused with the options. The repairing the white phial quest, im bugged on the brairheart part where picking one up wont register. The usep says to use “setstage MS12b 60” but im lost on how to do that. With what you explain here, sounds like i enter first “MS12” then the “2c258” but where? I tried both getform and getformfromfile and both either didnt have the letterings or option was invalid.

MS12 is the quest's EditorID you find from the UESP wiki, which you then use to look up the quest's FormID in the database linked above. The formID is what you input first into the setstage command and then enter the stage # after that.

Possibly. If there is another database or wiki out there that contains the CC data, maybe that. Alternatively if you or someone else has the game and the CC on PC they could look it up themselves in either in the creation kit or in xedit. If I'm not too busy and it's something quick I could (and have) look it up as such, also.

So i got the formID of the quest in, but the number to complete either picking up/having briarheart in inventory or the “I have the materials you requested” isnt working. Before attempting to set stage you'll want to first use GetStage to see what stage it's on. Generally you can't set a quest stage to a value lower than its current value (without resetting the quest first).

I have a few more questions, in regards to the completely first question i asked here. (i think) Now that I have a better understanding of it, I wanted to ask what’s suggested and advised for some quests and steps for a npc. There’s three relating to quest(2 base game, 1 dragonborn), and one just an npc spawned by shout.

So, one npc- an named dragon Vulthuryol, is spawned by shout underground Blackreach. This i did way before the mods came in, so how would I go about respawning the dragon? Specifically by respawning dragon or having the event happen again so i can kill him? (Needed his scales, which spawns on him after killing him LOTD mod installed.)

The two base game quests, were relating to A Man Who Cried Wolf (involving going to wolfskull cave and discovering ritual master trying to resurrect Potema) and the second base game being involved with the DB kill contracts by Nazir.

The former quest, i just need to kill the ritual master again apparently for an item but i already defeated potema (the second quest after that) so how can i either respawn that one npc or if i have to, reset that quest to do it again? (That leaves me wondering if it’d trigger another potema quest or i’ll be good as its done already?)
With the latter quest, is the Kill Contacts by Nazir or Nazim, whatever his name. I need all of the contracts’ items that spawns by LOTD and i’ve only found two or three that was still there for me to just resurrect and get the items. Which did work, meaning i just need the NPCs themselves and not the quests- for all this dilemma.

The final quest is dragonborn content, which was the dragon Sahrothaar and again, same as Vulthuryol, need just his scales. I believe the only time I was able to kill him was by the questline. Was hoping to just also spawn the dragon than doing that part of the quest again.

Let me know, @pulsar wing. I wanted to make sure i asked as clearly as i could so i didnt run around asking some things again and such

Can't go wrong with Noble, and Pfuscher and Skyrim 2020+ are all good retextures. AMidianBorn Book of Silence for items and creatures.
Cathedral Weathers, for sure, it really improved the weather stuff with the added benefit of slightly better lighting.
I kinda cannot play without Combat Gameplay Overhaul and 360 Movement overhaul these days. CGO has the only no-delay dodge input I've seen, and it allows you to use 2H weapons as 1H for a slight damage decrease, or 1H weapons as 2H for a slight damage increase.

Also there are occasional conflicts with other mods types for example lighting and weather. So following the LLO puts them in the best order to avoid those rare conflicts.

They came from the Multiple Followers System. Quoting from "The complete description":

Its not one of mine, its @echo pivot creation as it wouldnt even work on Xbox without his talents, its an alternate start mod that doesnt require USSEP, you get to choose your start from a huge list of options, lots of spells, armour and weapons are available to help you out as well, you can start the main story at any time by sleeping in an inn, until then you get to do whatever you like, before I forget Clofas1 re-did the audio for it, so there is even dialogue, highly recommended if you want an alt start and epsecially if you dont use USSEP.

Edit - I if im remembering correctly, youre on Playstation so its not possible as the mod requires scripts, Xbox / PC Only.

There is a chance of getting stuck behind Hadvar as he leads you to safety. Especially in the ruined house after staying close to the wall. Just get ahead of him and all is well.

Its not a problem with the BA2 archives or plugins then. This is probably a problem related to a loose file or a bad ini setting. Im leaning towards a bad loose file such as a nif which is overriding something in the vanilla BA2 archives.

Thematically? Not sure what you mean by that. But the companion radiant quests are given by members of the companions as requirements to progress in that qiestline. The notice board is exactly that. A notice board where you can choose random minor quests that have no impact on any questlines.

It bears repeating that, in my opinion, the main problem with the steam thing was they never set a cap on prices, allowing authors to charge whatever they wanted. Had it been set to a reasonably low maximum it likely would've been far better received, and the amount earned would either have been similar to what the authors were hoping for or even exceeding it due to quantity of purchases being the goal rather than the per-purchase amount. sakura For instance, selling 1 thing 10 times for $20 and selling 1 thing 200 times for $1 has the same profit but the latter is far more reasonable for prospective customers and more likely to achieve a purchase.

The underlying premise and structure of the mtx business model concept is comparable, however, regardless of one being buy-to-play vs another being free-to-play. Do not forget that before AE was released, Skyrim already had a for-pay mod structure via Creation Club and it most certainly did make some money for BGS - as such it is reasonable proof that the system, in some form or another, is capable of succeeding even on a single-player game like Skyrim. Anyways back to Skyrim and mods CC is about the most I accept in terms of microtransactions. I wish BGS would sell big ol DLC or expansion packs for skyrim instead like Dragonborn. I am all for modders getting paid. I am for any person getting paid for work they do, just I am not a walking money bag to pay for microtransactions or mods for singleplayer games that I want. I have just enough cash to buy the video games themselves and not their microtransactions. Modding is a hobby of huge enjoyment for me to play video games and it all started for me back in 1998 when I got my first PC and got mods for Unreal 1.

There is a mine that contains Ebony ore veins that, based on in-game dialogue and text, is actually an Iron mine. USSEP fixes the mine to have Iron ore veins as a result. However, as this results in a drop in the total amount of ebony ore veins, they decided to take a different iron mine and turn it into an ebony mine. The first part fixes a legitimate bug, the second part does not as the iron mine in question has no indication that was to be anything but an iron mine - instead it is done for the sake of 'balance'.

Since you're here I do have to ask even tho it's the wrong section. But is there any reason why the computer terminal and the desk it's on was made unscrapable in Sanctuary cause that thing annoys me. Is there a quest marker attached it? Over 1 hr later I'll have to assume by the silence that you either don't know what the reason is or you don't want to give one. Unfortunately, that is something that is not possible for the PS4 version of the game due to the limitation that mods are not able to have custom assets including custom scripts. Changing how an NPC reacts to crimes means needing to change its "Crime Faction" data which requires the use of a papyrus function and I am not aware of any default scripts which make use of it meaning a custom script would be necessary.

I think the closest you get to a mod to change NPC morality on PS4 would be a mod that changes the NPC's data directly, so it's not something you'd be able to dynamically change in-game whenever you want as such.

If it helps, while I do not know if there is a comparable immersive counterpart to the destructible doors/furniture mod on xb1, I do think you'd be able to find what you're looking for in terms of getting the various claws if you use a mod like Debug Menu as it has a command for adding items via their FormIDs and the formIDs can be found on this page in the UESP wiki: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Quest_Items#Dragon_Claws

I think the majority of modders like to work on things that interest them, not people
Of course modders can hear people's ideas, but they wouldn't appreciate someone calling out their name for personal mod ideas
Of course popularity and appreciation from people is a big part of the motivation for modding, but people are always fickle. Everyone's definition of a good mod is different, so it's normal for everyone to be interested in different things. To me, the slow/stop time ring is a cheap cheat mod and I'm not too interested in it even if it wasn't meant to be used that way

It's the user's responsibility to take the time to check if mods already exist, modders don't want to act as a search engine. Also, it would be nice if you could at least be polite when you were given some advice, instead of saying something about attitude.

Sadly, Toxicity is very common in the modding community, on an almost daily basis I`m either shown or see posts / screens with insults, obscenities and often negative and false.

Comments like Gamerpaulys mods are poorly optimized, broken and other remarks, never showing any evidence or contacting me about it either.

They also use my mods and post I want to get rid of this mod but I cant and have to use it, you don't have to use it and you don't have to keep posting the abusive comments either.

I wont post screens of this or name these people but I would like to ask these keyboard warriors who hide away on their discord servers, if you don't like my mods, don't use them, that is your choice, I wouldn't allow the comments and insults you make on my discord or reddit sub and no one on mine talks about you in this way.

A final thought to ponder, if you dislike or have a problem with someone, why keep talking about them ?

Right, but I mean in terms of what they edit and how/why. At least for the bits that don't require SKSE. If I remember correctly, SkyUI version 2.1 or 2.2 and earlier did not use SKSE.

Well so far so good, replaced the map + the stat bar... I still consider if the Map should be filled or not with the red Background. Since our mod has specifics of stats I decided to label the Stats appropriately to avoid confusion.
