I know what I'm looking for might be hard for PS4 with scripts and all but I'm wondering if someone would be interested in making Helgen Keep into home as it basically becomes useless after the beginning of the game and empty besides bandit I'm not looking to rebuild helgen but clean it up and make the area for yourself and followers. I know it might be extensive.

idk if something like that is possible. I know a mod called "Helgen Reborn" exists, but I doubt it's on PS4.
Not to mention the mod author in question would be restricted to using vanilla assets because...well PS4.
you could use this to rebuild the town https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4040946 and this to live in https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/3214160

Huh.
How about that.
I just follow this unspoken rule that if I'm to get a Bethesda game like Elder Scrolls, I always get it on PC. XD
But good for him.
I've seen and tried both but not exactly what I'm looking for but I do appreciate your help tho
Guess the only thing to do would be get the PC version and make it myself
What exactly are you looking for?
you could try this https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4100699 also this to decorate it https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4085507

I want to use all of Helgen basically as your own fort and use the keep as a home for you and followers
You didn't say that though.
the first one says you can own a cell so it should work for what you want
I've seen those but didn't know if that would do what I wanted but I appreciate all the help.
I can't even play Fallout 4 now.
For SkyUI mod:
Is there a hotkey to sort items in the inventory?
...and/or is it possible to keep them sorted by default in a specific order? (e. g. weight decreasing)
My Fallout just crashes..at server authentication…and Skyrim Mods immediately error out
It’s very cool. I’m starting to wonder if it’s a me issue…?
Yep in the modding-news and content-news section
It was not a spam it was opinions thats all
I suggest reading #rules please
I just wish it was fixed, So I can fix my load order and not crash. I have problems with Fallout 4 as of yesterday. I couldn't even play that.
Same here the waiting is killing me
But it should not be an excuse to start a fight with the moderators.
I was not voicing ones opinion is not fighting

I was just playing Skyrim SE and dowloaded some mods, but none of them work, or i'm i doing something wrong.
Due to update some might not work but they are working on it @molten flint
Thank you.
"In the meantime, to prevent this issue, avoid going into the Mods menu." Tell it to the moron who checked his load order saw that mods were missing. Oh, wait. I'm that moron.
I don't know how the console reacts to it, but I ventured into the mod menu on PC and had no lasting effects when I backed out after seeing more than half my own load order not listed. So long as no attempt was made to make changes it seems like it's ok to just back out.
Nah those mods are disabled. On PC not important really cuz can enable and order thru a different manager
On console can re-enable thru library instead of LO menu, but can't order them as they don't appear in LO. And then they disable themselves again when quit out of Skyrim.
fingers crossed they release the hotfix today
Generally speaking, load USSEP and the dependent mod into xEdit and run a conflict check to see if anything in the dependent mod needs to be updated.
Yep, should be pretty straightforward.
Skyrim auto updated and messed up all my mods is there a way to play in the previous version of the game a lot of the mods say there incompatible with the current version of the game
doubtful it was all
We're working to resolve this, and expect to have a fix early this week. Any updates will be posted in #modding-news
Oh I thought it was a me problem thanks
Is there a way to play the previous version though)
There's a way for PC, but not console
Can you tell me I’m on pc
This is what's recommended on Reddit Skyrim mods page. It reverts to the old se version until Bethesda fixes it
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618
Nexus Mods :: Skyrim Special Edition
An automated patcher to downgrade your Skyrim install from the new AE version to the previous SE version, without redistributing files or requiring any sort of complexity. Just download this, and clic
If you're on PC, just stay out of the in-game mod menu. None of your mods have actually been lost.
Ok thanks
@sleek gobletWhy downgrade every time there's an update? Just wait and get the most recent and best patched version of the game. Besides, there are better ways to rollback 1 version. Steamdb.
you can just downgrade and lock your version by telling steam not to update?
also with the fragmentation level we are at we already have some things not being ported
for example quite literally all of Mehs stuff
and for example the crashlogs that come with the .net script framework are invaluable for troubleshooting..
crashlogger just doesnt compare
unless ofc you have the right tools and the right knowledge to deal with its memory addresses lol
most people however dont so .net is far nicer
also in general staying ln the newest version is kinda just a pain assuming beth keeps breaking .dll modding so you are far better off just locking your version in place and not having to update like 80 skse based mods
Yeah it can be a bit of a balance. I'll take the latest mods that work with the latest updates. But that's what's so great about choices. Your game your way is a real thing.
USSEP updated but I can't reorder it in the load order. Because it's still not showing up.
Have you seen an announcement anywhere that Bethesda has fixed the issue? Because the USSEP wasn’t what was broken in the first place.
Exactly how long am I going to have go without playing Skyrim? Because Fallout 4 will not run mods. I have no way of trying to show what mods I have via console. I don't play the PC versions anymore. I'm basically stuck. So tell me what else I'm supposed to do? Because no matter what else I try to think up, It's always going wrong for me.
Play something else.
Because Bethesda has to fix something that went wrong during their last update. So you'll have to wait until they do.
Skyrim not working? Find another game. Fallout 4 not doing it for you? Surely your backlog has something else you haven't touched yet?
If I could play Fallout 4 without being forced to play Vanilla, I would.
Forced how?
I'll say it in #fallout-4-mods.
Bruuh no update yet?
Nop

My Xbox is trying to update it right now. I’m almost afraid to proceed. I’m not even kidding…
Here’s goes!!
The update out?
Yes.
Finally!!! Hope it fixes it
So I dont think it fixed it for me. Skyrim is completely unlaunchable for me now. Its shutting my xbox off...
Ahhh there we go. My apologies. Came to complain but found a fix shortly.
But I did gain 100 MB of space out of nowhere?
when i open creation club i cant see any text all the text is replaced with empty white boxes
pls help

Can someone help me out I built my mod in two different parts and now I would like to combine them into one file?
Should get the email login screen when offline at mods but instead I keep getting this
That's what I got when I brought my box to my mom's last noc post fix...I just had to get on her wifi.
I think I need to look for an alternative to SkyUI 💀
I was about to ask if someone could make The Amulet of Kings from ESO. I didn't because of Timelines.
I still need to look up how to properly convert oldrim mods cause I need to do that with etheral elves 🤷♀️ So it's not mismatched with form ids?
why? lol
Cause I'm not sure if it's even going to be updated 💀
it doesnt need to?
why would it need to be updated?
skyui for SE hasnt been updated in years
pretty sure they stopped development after that one paid modding drama thing on steam loooong ago
At some point it's going to not age well
Then probably the community will take it over 🤷♀️
there is literally no mod out there right now that seeks to replace skyUI
but no one is working on it
no one seems to be having massive issues with it
so no one is making a replacement
So until a time comes that it no longer works we're good?
there wont be a time where it wont work
So it's not going to break like jaxonz's renamer?
unless bethesda decides to completely remake the UI.. which they wont because i am sure even they dont want to deal with bloody action script anymore (please dont have that in the future games ye?)
did jaxonz renamer ever get ported to se?
oh ye it did
but no
nope 99% surethats not the issue with it.
Well either way it does crash 🤷♀️
the only mods that have issues with AE or 1.6 are skse dependent mods that have a .dll
skyui is dependent on skse but does not come with a dll
So something is broken with that mod
probably.
either that or some weird compat issue. I havent looked into Jaxonz stuff
all i know is that they havent been properly maintained for ages
either way SkyUI doesnt face that kind of issue
and even if it did the community would fix it in no time as literally everyone uses skyui
Yeah a lot of those ported se mods get left to rot due to mod authors moving on.
🤷 thats modding
and tbf most mods dont really need constant updating
i am just glad that we did get the skse mods over that we did
back when SE came out i really wasnt sure if skse would be taking off for it
I 'm playing Skyrim SE, NOT the Anniversary Edition and i've been trying to download some mods, and i am having some problems , none of them work, any ideas. Thanks.
AE is still SE.
there is a lot to unpack here 😅
basically ^ AE and SE is a bit... badly handled. Whether or not you bought the actual aniversary edition doesnt matter for what mods you need
all that matters is the version of the skyrim.exe
and that version is the same regardless of whether or not you have bought AE or just SE
now the next question is where you are downloading the mods from
not that that should matter for whether or not they work
but we gotta know what we are dealing with to give advice. I ll note here that i strictly recommend downloading mods from websites such as nexusmods and using a proper mod manager such as vortex or modorganizer 2
and not the inbuilt skyrim mod management stuff
I recommend using MO2 over Vortex but that's just my personal preference.
🤷 it really doesnt matter for most users
i have used both before and contrary to what people claim while it does get a bit slow you can absolutely make 1k+ load orders with vortex
but thats a different matter all together
so @molten flint we require info 😂
^ We probably also need to know the version of skyrim.exe he's on just to make sure
Lol
1.6.640 is the latest so he could either be on that or the version I just mentioned now lol
you could try merging them
if its 36 then it might explain why no mods are showing up.. but i think you gotta be on the latest version for bethesda net right?
oh ye you def gotta be...
Is it safe to move over to the new skse yet 👀
Yes
.dll mods havent been recompiled yet
It's already updated to 1.6.640.
The .dll script fixes for skse updated 👀
shad0wshayd has updated their skse mods and thats basically it for now
I'll wait until i have the money to get Nexusmod Manger.i'm not going to mess about not knowing what i'm doing. Thanks anyways.
They're free though?
nexusmods is free
^
Yeah the mod manager vortex is free
You only pay if you want faster download and no ads.
As is mo2
the only thing that costs there is premium which you need for unlimited download speeds
but the normal downloadspeeds while a bit slower
are still fine
Premium is optional though
yep
Yeah it is optional.
I bought lifetime premium before it was yeeted. Best purchase ever!
the only money nexus has gotten from me thus far is due to me disabling my adblock on nexus
i was going to but job stress made me forget 😦
That's sucks...
Does ussep need to be updated 👀
define need...
Or does it not matter
I think I saw in Nexus comment, they said that it didn't need to be updated.
Hold on.
it does not need to be updated for its functionality.
the USSEP team however only chooses to support the latest version of the game
So it will still work
ussep will always still work
they just hide the old versions
(wonder if i ll get arth on my back for this lol )

I'll leave it for now and come back to it later.
Take your time!
Based on my mod list it seems all I need to do is update the fix scripts and skse unless the mod menu helper requires updating I doubt it though
seriously man its no bother lol sorry if my text above was a bit intimidating. If you want to we can do this step by step
Since not much was changed
I figured he might be overwhelmed judging his comment he just posted. That's why I told him to take his time lol.
yeah 😅 skyrim modding can be a lot
Yup lol
i remember way back when i was a kid and got into it
It definitely is 💀
that was a lot.. 😅
It takes money to do things, which at the moment is very tight, but thanks anyways.
anything about modding is completely free.
some tools can cost money to make mods
ok sure but thats not the point rn lol
He's not making a mod though?
and luckily for most tools there are free replacements
he did say anything about modding
bit pedantic lol
you dont need for example maya though
can use blender
animation tools do cost money though
i could never get blender to work
from what i rember it is a really old version that is hard to find
i am pretty sure yoou can use the latest blender versions for skyrim
but dont quote me on that

Hmm should I delete the previous version of skse's .dll file 👀
I feel like I should but not sure if skse will break or just ignore that
You could make a back up of that then try for the latest version?
Aers hasn't yet updated the engine fixes files yet so I might need to wait on those or just play without them present for now 👀
It does appear that is probably going to be updated
But might be a bit
Probably should remove the dll things for those until then
Welp I'm downgrading mcm helper s .dll files are in need of an update too
Or not but now I need to root around in my files to remove the offending files till they get updatef 💀
Ooofff still gonna wait for this mods to update if they will update that is some of this hasnt updated since 2021
Are there going to be more SSE update from Bethesda coming soon?
Yeah mcm helper and enginr fixes haven't yet updated the dll files.
Some things haven't needed updates until recently
Cause skse hadn't needed to update till now 👀
Yeah every mod that needed the update had their devs been called by the community left and right hahahaha
Bethesda sure do love making a surprise update to make most of mod authors update their mod to up to date version of sse lol
As far as I'm aware, there isn't a second hotfix in the works.
Ah, alright.
I'm sure some of them had to come out of retirement to fix the .dll files
Look like 1.6.640 is the settled version for now!
I forgot some mods in my load out time to go grab them 💀
I crave forgotten vale view I can't no longer hahaha
I'll probably pause on playing SSE for a week or until most mods are up to date to the latest version. For now, I'll play Ark: Survival Evolved. 🐸
4th unknown's welwas is literally labeled as created by nobody 🤣
I just find it funny that it says Nobody is all 🤷♀️ it kind of implies it just magically created itself. Obviously it did not just becomr sentient and make itself exist that would be impossible
Came across a mod that allows you to buy a merchant store in each cities and I can't remember what it's called on xbox one frustrating trying to find it lmao
Adura's merchant mod am guessing that's no longer available for xbox one
Hey guys, not sure whether this has been a topic yet or not, but: Anyone happen to know the right mod(s) for xbox that would allow fire enchant visuals to look just like Trueflame's? I'm running VAE, that adds some spiralling effect. Been looking for this for some time now, but no luck so far
it seems that was snipey port he is reuploading them again after removing them you could ask him to try and port that mod next
So im curious anyone know if skyking is still working on the Skyland dlcs? Love how it makes my game look but don't have it for solstheim
I know he has different versions available on nexus that just haven't been ported to Xbox yet
Yes he is
You too would choose the path of least resistance with a project that big. There are not enough hours in the day to keep all the old versions available for people to then expect and/or demand support for.
What hasn’t been ported? If you mean the different color options for things like mountain textures he is only planning on once choice on Xbox. But we should have just about everything that has been released otherwise.
maybe. I cant genuinely say because i dont have a project that large. Id however probably try to keep the archive public and put a big unsupported on all of the names
but like you said that is just me talking
we wont know if id manage to do that for long because its unlikely ill ever have a mod that large
Unfortunately experience has shown that no matter how loudly it's said that the old stuff will not be supported, people will demand you do so anyway because it's available.
🤷 yeah idk i still think those files should be made at least somewhat available. Even if you gotta read closely to get to them. Especially with downgrading being a popular thing
i mean it doesnt matter to me personally due to having a direct link and knowing that its unsupported so i wouldnt ask for help with it
but i still think they should be at least easier to get
All I'll say to that is that it was not our decision to even make those available in the capacity they currently are and we never consented to allow it either.
you consented by using the service thats how a tos works
i know
it shouldnt cause any harm to you though as long as you arent bugged about them
besides id have the files anyways even without that because i tend to keep things around on multiple devices if i expect it to get harder tl get in the future lol
also yeah this basically
can have a pinned post saying if people demand fkxes for old versions they ll be banned from commenting
and then just ban anyone from commenting that does regardless
That just seems excessive
better than not having the versions available at all.
Or we can just continue as we are and not spend our time supporting old copies of stuff. It's worked just fine so far.
i am not telling you to support them though
You need to keep in mind that mod authors are not AIs or robots or machines of some sort, we're people to. With lives, limited time, jobs, and a desire for convenience as well. Expecting people to set that aside because you're put out by old versions not being available is unreasonable.
i am just saying we both know that ussep is a mod thats needed for basically everyone so making them available for older versions of the game without needing to internet archive search would be nice
not asking you to support them in any shape or form
Well that's the thing. You are. Asking us to provide old copies IS asking us to support them.
you dont have to edit them in any way though..?
bethesda also doesnt support old versions of skyrim
but getting those is actually less of a hassle than someone not having a direct link already for ussep
😅
why do you not just use the version of ussep you already have just dont update the mod
Bethesda is also a large corporation with hundreds of employees who get paid for all of this.
i am not asking flr myself lol
i have idek? 8 or 9 versions of ussep at this point floating around ln my drives
this is basically just arthmoor and me having an age old argument that he probably had tl sit through 100 times minimum
i am also not really expecting that anything will change from the argument but id like something to change 😅
most of ussep is built so why not just use your fav ussep make personal changes and keep that version is there somthing in the new versions you want
but they dont actually do anything with the old .exe files? they exist and thats just about everything there is to it. They dont fix anything with them or help people with them (to my knowledge anyways) so i dont think they are creating significant overhead
the same would be the case kf you you archived them or maybe put a link somewhere small in the text most people dont read and on the new page have a font 40 text saying Unsupported version
To put it in another perspective, the patch for LE has been decommissioned since mid 2018. It's still available for download, and every couple of weeks or so, we still get people mad that we're not keeping it updated anymore. So yes, people WILL find a way to ask for support for obsolete mods.
The small cult following still sticking with LE isn't a lot of people, but they're very aggressive in their love of it. It's annoying.
like i said either ban or temp ban in case they ask for support (only banning from commenting ofc)
yeah i know 😓
The Nexus thread has been locked since 2018, they find other ways.
do they pm you or what?
Yes, or they find some means of contacting me on Discord or through email or whatever.
again this isnt about me. Kts about maning kt available for people so that there isnt a super obscure way to get an essential mod.
no mod is essential
😂
thats a terrible argument to mane considering what it does and how many mods require it
Well that's the thing. The mod is highly dependent on the current game state. There's no obscure links or anything for getting the correct version for the current version of the game.
very true. But we both know that there are legitimate reasons for playing omder versions
okok different idea
It requires a great deal of back-bending to get your hands on an old copy of the game. I see no reason we should be making this easy for anyone intentionally circumventing Steam's normal behavior.
give outdated ones to care taker?
i think you can still decide dp split right?
give them to care taker and have dp still transfered?
i play on xbox and never had space for it,but i played vanilla for a long time on console without problems
hold on lemme screenshlt something
ok
see that tiny af list?
thats the start lf the list of mlds requiring ussep.
mods*
Text for ants 😛
one does not simply make a load order on pc without ussep
on xbox alot of the ussep dependencys get removed to save space

and dont get me wrong i am EXTREMELY greatful for the work arth and the ussep team have put into the mod
i still wish that it was more easily available for people who want to downgrade
i hope maybe you can consider the caretaker route for old ussep versions. I am sure nexus would be ok going down that route
your choice in the end obviously
it doesnt require back bending doing this is steams normal behavior artmoor
all you need to do is send a request through steams console they leave open to users on purpose or have the request sent through steamdb
I was checking Vortex and MO2, and i find that i'm not a big fan of downloading manually, i always have problems with it, so i don't bother.
sometimes even with mo2 and vortex you need to download manually but you can still install with mo2/vortex
you can still just download with mod manager?
and agreed downloading an old version through steam is comparatively trivial to searching through the internet archive for an old ussep version
or in general searching the internet for an old version
Which is not Steam's normal behavior. So nothing I said was false.
steams normal behavior is downloading whatever thing it is requested to download
its an inbuilt feature and its pretty damn easy to access
aslong as the version of the game is on steams servers it can be downloaded
Initiating requests via 3rd party APIs is not normal behavior. Steam downloading updates when the game is updated by the publisher is normal.
you dont need a third party api
you can do it directly from steam itself
steamdb is not a “third party api”
it literally just reads data from steam itself
In any case, all you've really done is prove my point that people will demand support for obsolete versions of mods despite being told no such support is offered.
all it does is send the command to steam that you can write out your self by just stwrting steam with the console enabled
something once again is normally user accessable
Alright folks
"with the console enabled" -> thus not normal behavior
i still dont understand why you cant just care taker it and still grt 100% dp then lock comments and remove description and replace it with THIS ISNUNSUPPORTED and then just move on
ok i ll stop 😅we have had this argument too many times anyways
Frankly you don't need to understand. We've tried to make it as clear as possible no support for old versions is offered, and yet you're still here asking for it. I don't know what else you seriously expect.
That's enough
When i'm playing Skyrim SE, it makes me laugh when you hit a npc in the head or the neck or chest , they keep coming.
What's the problem?

Hey guys anyone here mod on pc and if you use DAR is it working with the current version of Skyrim?
It may be helpful to specify what "DAR" means, as there are many mod name acronyms.
Dynamic Animation Replacer
So the mod authors waiting for the bug fix haven't updated yet....is there a new bug they're waiting for? Or just not had time yet? 🙂
They've already released the bug fixes and currently, no new hotfixes are coming.
Hmm ok
They're not updated? Engine fixes, Papyrus Utilities/Extender, Simply Knock...lots aren't updated and come up in a big list when I try to load in.
Oh I see. Sorry feeling really sick right now and brain struggling :(. Hopefully there's some updates soon I'm dying.
I guess that's risk for using some mods.
Yeah.....worth it. I got to make steam stop updating
I have. Plenty of mods are dependent on it for no reason. A simple "remove unused masters" in xedit removes it for a great deal of mods lol. And if not, not that hard to remove the dependency anyways. Plenty more have very few records actually used.
do you know how annoying doing this for a hundred mods or more is? Ussep is the de facto standard for large load orders for a reason. This topic has however been declared over so i suggest we dont bring it back up again
hasnt been updated yet and Felisky hasnt been online in a while
Considering my first sentence was "I have", would stand to reason I know how "annoying" it could be. I've ran LO's with hundreds of mods ussep free. And always will. "de facto standard" and yet I've never once used it 😂. And nah the topic that was "declared over" was making old versions available. Which I couldn't care either way on. End of the day it's a mod. And no mod is a necessity or millions of hours played on Xbox 360/ PS3 wouldn't exist. If people wanna use it cool. If they don't, that's cool too. To each their own.
Now if I could just win the lottery so I can work on mods instead of work at work that'd be great
you are most certainly the odd one out. Making it the de facto standard. Also modding scene on xbox and playstation is very different to pc lol
and when you are dealing with loadorders with 1k mods+ i highly doubt that most people are as excited about removing ussep as a master as you are lol
so good on you for going through that time
but the point still stands
I was worried of that. Thanks
Is there a mod that can fix The Dark Brotherhood Questline?
I'm too far saved to load a previous one.
Mourning never comes is not starting for me.
If you mean fix a current problem you are already experiencing no. USSEP might fix that bug. But that would require a new game if not already using it. It might not touch that specific bug though. Best to check UESP for that specific bug.
Reloading a previous save is often the only hope in a case like that.
It doesn't necessarily require starting a new game. We have scripts in place to take care of a number of things just like this.
I don't see anything in our changelog about Mourning Never Comes though, so if there is a problem with it, it's not something that's ever been reported to us.
Installing USSEP on an existing game is safe??
Yes
Well I’m gobsmacked. But good to know.
You just need to be aware that anything in the changelog tagged [NR] won't be corrected that way. Those fixes require a new save.
Oh. Right. So not unsafe. But just won’t get the benefit of all fixes…?
Correct. Anything tagged [NR] won't be fixable on an existing save.
Casually waiting on mods with .dll files to receive updates. Probably going to be a while. so rip
You can always play other bethesda game while waiting! Maybe... Elder Srolls Online?
oblivion morrowind and daggerfall are fun
Convient horses or immerssive horse 👀
I downgraded 🤣
Well, you could forcibly start it with console commands. I can't guarantee the result wouldn't have glitches, though. Using console commands on quests is generally the last resort.
It could take up to a year for modding to catch up 🤣
You could always become a mod author yourself and help out.
I think I'm gonna use IH instead of ch cause convenient horses kind of isn't doing it for me anymore lol
I find it interesting that people say this a lot. As if it's easy to mod skyrim. Or that some of us don't get overwhelmed by trying to learn how to mod the game.
Like sure it's easy for mod authors who have learned to mod but it's not that simple
at the end of the day if modding skyrim was easy we'd probably have tons of new authors constantly
||Inb4 someone swoop in to tell you to not use downgrade patcher
||
Nah I didn't do that 🤣
Oh lol
if I wanted to mod I wouldn't be able to simply because it would in fact stress me out. I'm actually quite tired of mod authors telling me to mod like ir's very easy 🤣
My mental state would plummet if I tried too code 💀
If I knew coding very well and could mod. I would use up many of my ideas into a mod but alas, coding isn't my cup of tea lol
But, it is easy. It's just something you learn little by little.
None of us who make mods started out knowing how.
It's not easy and don't act like it is.
It literally is.
Skyrim is one of the most complixated games to code for
You don't have to write a single line of code to make a mod.
You do if you want to script it to do stuff
My first mod just tweaked a few settings on some items and blam, mod.
Whether or not it needs custom code depends entirely on what you're trying to do and whether or not there are non-code methods or default scripts that can handle it.
You can uh... Always be a designer! Draw an outfit or a character to help mod author out with visibly I guess
Building a human model in skyrim shouldn't be too hard?
Even coding though is easy to learn. It's also something you just learn little by little by doing it.
Oh yeah what I wanted to make would most definitely require complex coding and scripting more then most of the current horse managers we have
Have you tried the one that sevencardz made? I haven't used it myself so I can't vouch for it, but the author of it is pretty capable. I can't remember the name, though.
Basically horse management breeding inventory of horses armor and compatibilty patches.
It depends I've used both immersive and convenient horses
Both of which have features I like
And lack some features as well
Sevencardz has by far the best one of the two
Because it allows for horses to equip individual armors
It however cannot manage modded horses haven't tested it with swift steed stables yet 👀
I'll probably need to use tes5edit on the unique horses rip
So far my mods have been limited to balance patches for my own pleasure. 😄
My racemenu is laggy I think I'm missing files weirdly enough 💀
Time to download everything again 💀
Strangely enough it started after I installed Immersive horses
So definitely missing some files 👀
Immersive horses: nord. Only male nord.
What does that mean?
I guess I'll be trying to put my LO back together this weekend. Hopefully everything will be back by then.
The nord is one of the first things to load in Racemenu
Yeah and that doesn't really help my situation 💀
I hate getting the loading symbol 💀
Some of my files are just straight up not there so gotta fix it later
I'm on Xbox and I'm having these problems.
The Debug Menu mod is useless for me. Especially with the Quest option.
It is not useless and I could've swore I already told you before you were in the wrong menu.
The console commands for quest stuff are under the Commands -> Other submenu.
Other and then what?
You select the section from there depending on the first letter of the command's name. For instance, "setstage" would be under "STU".
I could've swore this information is in the popup that it shows to you.
What's Mourning never comes Form ID?
One moment.
This is a site you'll want to bookmark as it lets you search up forms like quests by name and thus acquire the formID even though you're on console: https://cslist.uesp.net/index.php?game=sr&formid=0x0001ea52
When you enter the formID into debug menu btw you can omit the "0x" part as well as the leading zeroes (the "000" part). So for that formid, for instance, you'd enter "1EA52".
@lapis ridge By the way, if you need to know which quest stage to enter, you can usually find a summary of the quest stages and their values in the UESP wiki for the quest near the bottom of the page: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Mourning_Never_Comes
I did it and there's still problems. The Night Mother is there but no Cicero.
I got a "dumb" question about cbbe and follower mods
If anyone could be of help.
Well here goes. I have multiple follower mods and cbbe installed. Most say will use whatever body mod I have installed, but im curious. I have one that tells me to load ABOVE cbbe but the rest don't specify. I currently have the rest below cause I assume they specified above because that isn't the norm? Just asking to make sure my load order is good. Everything else is smooth but unsure of that
That is one of the main downfalls of quest commands as they are both on PC and in my mod (which implements them based on how they work on PC): They merely alter the quest data itself, and may not cause other data to be in the correct place it should otherwise be such as an NPC having been moved to a different location. You will likely either need to go find Cicero or teleport him over to you with the console command "moveto".
That is why quest commands are considered the last resort option, if for instance reverting to a previous save is not viable.
How do I use moveto with Debug Menu?
That depends on if you want to move to them or have them move to you. If you're moving them to you, you'd go to Commands -> NPC -> (enter the formid of the NPC) -> MNO -> moveto, and then I think on that one it gives you the option to either select the player as the destination or another npc/formid.
I've got to get Cicero to me.
Then the above is what you would do.
Cicero's form ID?
For that I would go to google and type "uesp cicero" - the uesp meaning the uesp wiki. It'll usually be the top/first result.
Would anyone in Tamriel know what a Batman is?
Only those that shop at their local comic book store.
Blackhorse Comics The Dovahkiin, 1st edition in epic condition, now only 843 septims.
Someone know when we will get fix for mods after 639
Presumably when the mod authors catch up. On an individual basis.
On pc, is load order like a file that is saved somewhere? If so where is it?
Ya'll ever been lost without visuals on how to patch a single horse to work with immersive horses I've got 75 to patch and without any visuals it's hard for me to understand the process
I'm actually going to go ask fierymerigold on Arthmoors website first anyway before I do anything but my brain works best on visually learning 💀
I figure if I do patch it I might as well get permission to share said patch if I do go through with this.🤷♀️
So it's in appdata I think. So I should be able to just copy it and share it to someone?
Are you using a mod organiser? MO2, Nexus, that sort of thing?
If you are they can output a modlist for you.
Well I give up trying to use the last version of skyrim before the latest update kind of caused me endless issues 💀
I gave up trying to keep mods from being yeeted and deactivated a while ago and just decided to reinstall skyrim. It's not worth the trouble of playing on the last ae version prior to the last two updates if skyrim will just straight up make things not work at random unless on the latest build. 💀
I am but the other person isnt
Well time to wait for racemenu, mcm helper and more informative console and others to be updated 💀
So I have a question, is there any like realistic sleeping mods?
Realistic in what sense?

Whenook at the AI, they sleep on top of the bed covers which is not realistic. But im looking for one that makes it to where they sleep inside the covers or like im trying to look for a Solo sleeping animation
Look on there and found nothing what's so ever, plus im on ps4
this mod is for Xbox 😅
Okay, so I believe it's not for me then you were linking that to?
Can't help with PS4, but there are some possibilities I've seen for PC that might have an equivalent.
no. just sharing my latest mod release, I apologize for the confusion.
Might exist on PS4, might not.
That's the problem I have found there are certain mods if seen for ps4 but most of them or all Xbox which btw is just briliont
I don't even know if it's able to be ported to PS4.
I would think it could as if seen some hard mods to make, the same ecufilunt as some of the PC mods we have.
I want to see this on Xbox please
Not possible.
Aw crap well I tried
Yeah mods that require utility mods like SPID are generally not possible on consoles because the utilities aren't possible.
@vague relic @drowsy fern It's worth noting it's not necessarily impossible so much as it is more work to implement without SKSE. The SKSE method not only made the main setup for such mods easier but also gives them dynamic application of the mod so that a bunch of patches aren't likely to be required. Some of what i'm seeing on that mod page can be done without SPID. For instance, it mentions this:
How it works: SPID distributes a spell to suitable NPCs.
It is entirely possible to do that without SPID. It simply may not be as fast or as easy, is all. Etc.
Actually finding someone to undertake the task, however, that's the real problem.
Thanks and let someone know about this discussion about porting the mod over for SSE/SAE
Thanks again
Does Rigmor of Cyrodiil have an Amulet of Kings?
Best bet is to go to the Facebook page
Also keep in mind he’s working on Rigmor of Tamriel that’s all I know so far I’ll keep you posted
Rigmor of Tamriel, What is that?
It appears that I've finished Rigmor of Cyrodiil.
I have a separate save so that I don't play on the save that has Rigmor of Cyrodiil on it.
Can anyone help with CGO, Ultimate Combat and TK Dodge mods?
Im really getting frustrated trying to setup Dodge and StepDodge
nevermind I backed out this is not worth the headache
Random thing. If you still have your steam folder in program files move it out of there. Windows will interfere with mod installations through mod managers due to the program files/ program files x86 folders being protected.
Most problems with mods can be caused by that. for example: I always thought mod managers were buggy but I learned that by moving the steam folder out of program files it allows mod managers like mo2 and actual mods to work properly.
Mind you most people probably know this but I'm that one person who didn't learn that until yesterday.
So in conclusion the default location for steam installing has been unknowningly causing me isues 💀🤣
Man I hate windows sometimes. Been playing skyrim since the oldrim pc release and I'm still learning new things.
I'm a great fan of putting game installations on my second hard drive.
anyone here familiar with SSEDIT?
Slightly. What do you need?
Does anyone know how to get static skill leveling to function with adamant and it's hand to hand add on? There's a patch on nexus, but I believe I'd still need to edit the value in sseedit. Do I just edit the normal values and install the patch?
I guess my confusion is that the default perk trees are what are there to edit in sseedit, hand to hand not included. Does it still use one of those default trees for hand to hand, and therefore editing the trees in sseedit produces the desired result? You set skill exp gain in sseedit to 0 btw that's what I'm talking about lol
this is rather complex lol. so im trying copying over the values from adamant into static skill leveling in sseedit. the hand to hand patch apparently only changes the text in the skill distribution menu. i dont know if theres anything i need to do to get hand to hand to work correctly.
buenas por que rompieron el skse del skryrim aniversary edition no me funcionan los mods como racemenu y engine fixes dejad de meter updates que rompen los mods
good because they broke the skse of the skryrim anniversary edition mods like racemenu and engine fixes don't work for me stop putting updates that break the mods
Not gonna happen. Skse needs redone with every update. Just how it is.
ah bethesda games the games where people get mad when the company continually supports and updates their product
So I got a mod that allows you to marry nearly anyone and after I married the first person it won't allow me to marry anyone else but in the description, it states you can marry over 700 people even if you married and they're married. But after I married the first person it won't give me or allow me access to marry anyone else

Hello, I discovered a mod on the PS4 version called "Ring (and scrolls) of Quest-Fixing". The ring works just fine, but I believe some of the scrolls necessary to advance certain quests are missing from the box.
For me, no matter how many times I play Skyrim on PS4, whether modded or not modded, the quest Ancient Technology on the Dawnguard side of things ALWAYS bugs out on me.
So, needless to say, I was pretty excited to see this sort of mod on PS4....only for the appropriate scroll necessary to force Ancient Technology (the one Sorine Juarrd gives you for the crossbows) to advance to not even be in the box....
I've looked several times, and no, I didn't misplace the scroll or anything. It's just flat out not even showing up for me period. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, I've tried a new character and that scroll is missing. Any help would be appreciated.
Is there by chance a bigger sized backpack to were you don't run out of space?
What platform are you on? If PC, there are really good, portable/wearable containers where you can specify how much weight each item adds, by percentage. You can go real weight, or all the way to zero weight if you please. The backpack itself is set up so that you apply meshes and textures from your favorite backpack mod to it, and then they become the container. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8246
Sadly ps4
As that mod description says, the MA includes fixes as they're reported (or at least, the description used to say that--it's been a hot minute since I played Skyrim on PS4). I believe the MA is at least a member of this server: @devout valve

I'm aware. The book actually has a scroll listed in the mod for that quest or else I wouldn't have brought it up. The scroll that's listed is not in the box so I was trying to see if there was an error on my end or with the mod itself.
Whilst it's not backpacks, there's a mod on PC that might exist on PS4? "Armour of Intrigue" - light or heavy armour that has optional parts that can add carrying capacity.
Sounds like they want infinite carry capacity. Bag of holding kind of thing.
I think there's a 20,000 lb ring on PS4 somewhere (my wife uses it) but since I play PC, I have never used. Short of that, best I could offer is the old trick I used to use when I played on PS3, years ago. Find a container near the entrance, make as many trips back to it as needed, to dump stuff, then complete the dungeon. At the end, fast travel back to the entrance (which will summon your horse if left elsewhere) and pick up your stuff from the container, do the overweight trudge out to your horse, and then fast travel merrily home to sort and smelt.
you will need the cc backpacks,it doesnt make it so you dont run out of space but it improves the backpacks https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4134330

Mod organizer 2 keeps opening the skyrim se .exe instead of the skse one

I've seen 3 horror movies that start with turning on the light.
All I know is how come in oblivion the jump animation for horses despite having a jarring stop after each jump is more accurate to how horses do jump then Skyrim's animation for jumping which essentially goes haywire 👀
I only ask because 1 I am curious and 2 what happened between the end of Tes 4's development and the begining of tes 5's development with horses 🤷♀️
Is anyone else having problems downloading mods today? I have to keep exiting and re-entering the mod menu to download anything, and now it's saying the queue is full, even though I haven't started downloading anything yet

Hello! Playing on Xbox and looking for a mod that adds placeable light sources. I tried Candles and Lanterns and the placing goes wonky once I make it static. Are there other options on Xbox?
I was thinking of trying Placeable Statics again but when I use it all the tables in the Arcaneum get melded together and flipped upside down 😂
If you can find out the formID of the light source you want to place you can do it with Debug Menu via the PlaceAtMe command.
Is there an Xbox mod that adds the console?
nope
Not directly, no. That is locked behind engine code.
My Debug Menu mod is designed to be as good as can be achieved in that regard with what access is made available to a mod.
Cheat room is another option that gives you some similar capability.
Ok. I’ll have to play around with those. Thank you
The lengths I go to to put a candle on a table 😆
I’ll need to check and see if chest room has candles you can place. Not sure about that. But it has other console command type functionality. Probably not as many as skyler’s mod. But cheat room has been all I’ve ever really needed.
Interesting. I’ve never poured through all the different spell options. I’ll have to dig deeper
It’s not a spell. But chest room does have glazed candles in the other items chest. Grab those and drop them/place them where you want.
FYI- There’s a mod available that did not follow my linking instructions for Ugh. Mods Manager Cap. Dude didn’t even attempt to email me nor did they reach out to say Hi. Rude.
Oh! They’re in the little dish too?
Tanis, bless you. You just saved me hours of fiddling
That will be absolutely perfect for what I need

Oooo that will let me hang chandeliers. Even better!
Probably not as many as skyler’s mod.
Probably?
Haven’t tried it🤷♂️

Old dog. New tricks. All that.
what does the mod do
(seprate post) does the gog version of skyrim work with beth mods it only says nexus (also why do they mention nexus)
They claim my mods are open permissions and there isn’t a way to have open permissions on Xbox. I only make Xbox mods. So by their claim they are telling people that I endorse their mod or I assisted in the creation thereof. I do not and did not and I want the wording changed so that people won’t scream at me if their mod breaks things. I had no hand in the creation at all. I am not happy.
If they’d contacted me I would have told them to word it so that it doesn’t imply I made it.
The one in question I made to keep up with individual player downloads for Skyrim so that people will favorite things. Numbers will be off now.
Helps players out too. Extends the HUD so you can see your entire load order.
was it in one of the large mod packs that includes lots of mods (i rember seeing your name in one of them in the credits) what was the porter name, have you tried contacting beth to ask them to change the describtion
They were in a discord I was in but I’m in 40 and don’t remember which it was
Kinda hoping by me posting here they’ll see it and email me
But if not, I want people to know that my name should not be on that mod and I’m very unhappy that it is
Especially since they didn’t use my linking instructions
do you have a link to the mod page someone might know the uploaders name and might know where they can be found
I just re-read the mod description. They put my ini edit with 60 FPS which will break things on Xbox series
I DO NOT want my name on that mod
What mod??!! 😂

i think i rember seeing the username in league of gamers discord @sullen star might know them
Can I suggest contacting bethesda's customer support team to get the mod pulled or at least to expedite your conversation with them?
Maybe even one of the moderators here could pick it up if they see it?
@night rover can help get your name of the mod page
Or go to their discord and talk to them about it?
Looks like it's listed on the mod page.
I did. Don’t like doing it that way. Was it league of gamers, Alaan? I’ll check there
It looks like @sage echo is just being credited for the use of the mod manager cap(?)
I don’t want my mod associated with it. It has edits I don’t agree with and the individual did not talk to me about adding my name to their thing first
I don’t want my name on it
Understood
can beth net mods be downloaded from the gog version of skyrim
Enough.
Was the ping from Argonian or should I just ignore? Pop ups on my phone are being wonky.
I wouldn't worry about it, as it looks like it's been removed.
Alrighty. Have fun.
The GOG version cannot access Bethesda.net Mods, as it is unable to log into outside services.
So I got this mod and I’m checking it out. The video shows adding hanging lights but I can’t find any such items in the containers
I’m not an expert at that mod. I used it once for a short time. Kinda cool. But not my thing. I know others who enjoyed it though. Not sure about the hanging lights. Sorry.
why did beth allow them to block beth net modders
My guess is because gog doesn’t allow anything that could be considered a form of drm, and needing to connect to Bethnet to access the mods might count as drm
Gog seems pretty strong on “the whole thing must work offline”
but they can connect to nexus
Nexus isn’t built into the game
The Bethnet stuff was directly built into the game and accessed within the game menu
beth mods arent either thats how they removed us
@brave forum has hit the nail on the head.
If only I’d hit it with a hammer and not my hand, now my hand hurts.
why did beth make a version of skyrim that doesnt support beth net
because its released on gog
and gog doesnt allow things that work as drm
(anymore)
as has been said
gog cant release skyrim that has to be done by beth
… but gog does make the rules for what gets released on their platform
but then why say you can use nexus why not say you can use the offical site
Nexus is an external application, Bethesda.net is built in.
nexus is a website you download files from
the bethnet mods are accessed from in game only
It's a shame the GOG version doesn't support Bethesda.net Mods, but that's how the platform works. If someone is on PC and wants access, they already have the option of using the Steam version.
but could they not just do it the same way download the beth.net mods then go play the mods work even if you arent connected to beth
i dont think bethnet is set up for you to just download things from the web page
Correct
you download them from the store then play the same as nexus
no not at all the same
if anything nexus has more complacations
You are not downloading the mods to your PC directly like you would from Nexus.
nexus you download the file in a zipped format and it can contain loose files
bethnet cannot contain loose files can it?
they do get downloaded directly there in the skyrim folder
no they dont
they download either to the mod managers download folder or to your pcs download folder
The mods on bethesda.net are not available for downloading directly. Not like Nexus mods.
i know atleast how to download mods from both i have… downloaded 2 mods from bethnet and… hundreds form nexus for my skyrim vr installation
nexus will use vortex (i think) so they arent direct downloads and manual installs they are done by a app
nexus does not JUST use vortex
nexus api also works with mo2
and in neither case are the mods downloaded to the game directly
you can also direct download from nexus
either for a less likely to break download on large files
or to install manually if your… not afraid of messing up your installation
why did beth allow the release then it isnt a small publisher it is owned by one of the biggest companies in the world so could easily walk from the deal, also how are they getting the cc if not from the store
because the cc is… likely in a file you download?
from gog
and because people have been asking for it for a long time and several of their older games have gog releases
they have been asking for it why should beth care there are now 4 offical versions of the game (one versions selling point is it isnt offical) then you have all the different modded versions pre update after update etc
i just rembered vr so thats 5 offical versions
People asked for it, that's why Bethesda cares. You may not find a meaning in it, but that doesn't make it invalid.
and what about a version on xbox that has more than 5gb you could of included that in ae
Each platform has their own restrictions that have to be worked around.
you literally ripped offical mods from the game to replace them with a third company for pc players (who are asking on nexus where the beth mods are so they can turn the mods on) but didnt increase the mod limit on a brand new version for xbox players
the site is offical
I am not a developer, I am just a moderator. And I am just informing you that all platforms have different things going on behind the scenes.
Also, this is correct. All mods are unofficial.
arent the most popular mods (that were released at launch) semi offical though that is why there the first mods people scroll past so they get mods beth know work
no
No, they are not official. They may be in the showcase, but that doesn't change their status.
The only official mods are CC content. Yea yea. Not mods. DLC. But official.
they are by default even if they arent offical,as an example nexus removes mods from the front page after a certain amount of time otherwise you end up with the most popular mods that were released during launch
Huh?
The way nexus runs their site does not dictate what is or is not official for Bethesda's site.
Does anyone use apophysis?
Just curious if anyone has any idea when the dragonborn masks patch goes through? I found it in Carnage2k4's notes on nexus that he was working on them but its been a few months. Just curious if anyone knows anything about it? Got pretty base game masks but dull dragonborn ones
I'm still staring at the engine fixes page hoping it gets updated 🤷♀️ as so far it hasn't been yet.
Damn. Just saved me a check then.
What even was that conversation yesterday 💀
I feel like that one gif of that lady with all the math equations trying to process it.
Yeah appearently aers is retired from modding that is all I know. So no idea what is going on with engine fixes.
Damn. I hope they've been able to hand it off to someone else to continue, because that's kind of a key mod.
I wouldn't know where to start, so I'd be useless maintaining it.
Crazy that engine level fixes needs to be a mod. I can understand BGS not worrying about occasional glitches that can be fixed with loading a previous save. But engine level problems?
Reverse-engineering enough of the source code to make a mod like that in general is a huge investment in terms of time and effort, and takes knowledge and skill with computer programming. It's already a tall order to ask of someone who is actively playing and interested in the game, but for someone who may have moved on to other games or IRL things it's even worse.
Although I did find that on the github for engine fixes aers did say they were waiting for another patch before updating it. It's been about 12 days since then. 🤷♀️
I mean wasn't skse going to implement engine fixes into it.
When they said that were we at 1.6.640 yet?
Because if not, we're probably just waiting on them working their way through it all.
We're still on 640 gog versiob is on the same number but it's labeled higher because ithe games aren't functionally the same.
So like 640 on gog is 659 which is just 640 with a different label 🤷♀️
Sorry, I meant when aers said they were waiting for another patch.
Do you have the link to the git?
Save me looking it up.
The gits not really important 🤷♀️ but no I do not. I believe it was linked on second page of comments on mod page
I don't think the git is in use currently though 🤷♀️
That's fair. Just trying to work out whether aers is waiting for a patch that isn't coming or not. 😐
Last I checked they were but who knows they might have just gotten busy is all.
The 19th was just before 1.6.640 rolled up though, so that's encouraging.
Skse really should implement engine fixes into it though. So aers doesn't have go through this again in the future if for some reason bethesda decides to update again 🤷♀️
Maybe they can take over maintenance of it. I don't know.
Lol my game just decided to yeet me to desktop 🤣
engine fixes isnt just engine fixes
Oh. Well my point stands. The fact that actual engine fixes are still needed is a bad look for a computer game company.
I think a lot of those fixes are overblown. I've never used them myself.
May I ask for help?
All I know is engine fixes prevents a lot of skse related crashes. It's super beneficial even if some people don't use them 🤷♀️
It helps me though I really need to update form id for three of my mods in my load order they weren't ported properly appearently 🤷♀️
Maybe, but being SKSE related to begin with, if you're not able to use it or your PC load order isn't largely dependent on it, then you don't need to fix problems you won't have 😛
Too bad immersive horses requires skse cause scripts 👀
But either way i'm just being patient and waiting for it to update.
As an Xbox player my only concern would base game engine problems. Fixing SKSE and other external assets is out of the scope of reasonable IMO.
it fixes alot of issues thwt dont really turn up much on an unmodded game anyways
idk the the vendor inventory bug and double npc perk bug are rather prolific.
unless they got fixed at some point and I never heard about it.
how often are you going to notice those things
i didnt even know they were a thing til i read it fixes them
Guess this is the place to ask for mods of how much they will see updates on the gog version of Skyrim? Yeah there is Nexus, but um mods that are exclusively on either Steam Workshop or beth.net uh I take it nobody, none of the modders will ever care to port them outside of those? We goggers will be left out forever aren't we?
steam workshop mods dont work on se anyways
and there is very few mods exclusive to bethnet its usually a mirror for another site
Well here's hoping gog gets the original 32-bit LE version of Skyrim, still whatever mods are exclusive on steam workshop we goggers might never see them
you can just download steam skyrim mods through the database anyways
What database?
If you are asking about downloading the mods from steam workshop, that is not a option as i never use/subscribe to steam workshop this is why I am asking this question. Nexus mods is far as I go for downloading mods or moddb.com.
Anyways I want to move onto animations mods. Are there any mods where you the player can kick the npcs? I think I saw a really good one for Fallout 4 but not skyrim?
steams database just like you can send commands to steam itself you can just nab the files from the workshop
Are you talking about steamdb? Cause as I said downloading/subscribing mods from steam workshop is not a option for me I hate using that.
sorry for the double reply thing my discord is acting up not sure why it did that.
Also I'm looking for a mod that makes shot arrows and bolts to never disappear I know there are mods that increase the length of time they stay but I want a mod where they do not disappear. Man there are mods for older games like Doom 1 called Brutal Doom where the sprites of the dead npcs and spent shell casings never disappear. Nobody made one for Skyrim/Skyrim SE? Yeah I know it would be CPU intensive, but I will take my own risk.
I don't know myself how to do it in the Creation Kit outside of changing the length of time how to make them never to disappear. Someone with more experience I wish looked into it.
Well, I noticed the inventory bug within I'd say the first week of having the game; it's a fairly obvious one and a commonly-used exploit. Though, I do have OCD so I tend to pay a lot more attention to things on average.
As for the NPC perk bug, if you're working on mods involving perks it can stand out when you trigger it because it throws your testing off by creating results that shouldn't happen.
i dont go punching npc shopkeepers if your talking about that bug
I am not talking about that, no. Punching the NPC is not required to set off the one I mentioned.
ah ok well then i dunno what it is
Basically there's a glitch with vendor inventories where if you save and then reload the game in the same cell with them their inventory gets randomized again, bypassing the 72 hour etc reset timer. It's one of a couple different parts of the code where things don't work right for the cell the player loads up in.
aaaah yeah i never noticed thwt
When I first started Skyrim, long before I became a mod author, that's one of the bugs I tended to abuse if I was having trouble getting the shops in the game to spawn the things I needed.
also… now i wanna make a arrow in skyrim have a muzzle flash and a sniper rifle sound
Dude I never knew that I always thought only setting a x for certain amount of time is possible and that it was not possible to make them to never disappear. There is also a mod that made them last a long time called Arrows in the Everywhere if yo uever heard of them?
I'm sure I've heard of such mods over the years but I didn't pay much attention as it was in passing when other players like yourself decided they wanted arrows to be fully persistent.
I'm sure there's at least a dozen mods for it, and if you feel like it you could even just whip one up yourself in less than an hour.
Idk man its just that in the year of 2022 with the GPU's and CPU's we have today for our PC's really stuff should not be disappearing in games lol.
Well, yes, but also no. There is a lot of processing that goes on in games behind the sceenes, even games as old as Skyrim, and the more objects you have for the game to handle the more it can bog things down.
Which is interesting cause there are games not as old as skyrim, but lets say 5-7 or so years old and they got some certain things that don't disappear and the game does not even get bogged down like at all.
It depends entirely on the game, what its doing, and the skill of the programmers.
I wonder can I make so shot arrows don't disappear in oblivion as well? I know that that game will freeze if you drop too many items on the ground, since I did that once.
Now I wanna go back to my player kicking animations does one even exist for Skyrim?
Most likely.
I wanna kick the bad guys in the face lol
When you go to search for skyrim mods via google what I find works pretty well is to prefix your search terms with "skyrim mod". So for instance the kicking thing I'd enter, say, "skyrim mod kick enemy". You'll probably get at least one solid lead in the first 10 results it shows you.
@pulsar wing Thanks for all the info!

Xbox player here with an open mod request for anyone willing to spare the time. I'm looking for someone to recreate the sword "Rimelink" from The Elder Scrolls: Blades using the Dawnfang & Duskfang content from Creation Club, with both enchanted and unenchanted versions that can be crafted at any blacksmith forge. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/File:BL-artifact-Rimelink.jpg Thanks in advance to anyone who might pick this up.
ngl, I'm surprised that didn't make it in the Dawnfang & Duskfang CC.
Then it would be called D&D&R.
Nah because Bloodfang also made it in and it has no mention in the CC description. XD
Bloodfang?
How do you get it ingame?
In the dungeon where the Dawnfang & Duskfang CC takes place, you'll find a note that points you to a bandit dungeon, which then points you a vampire dungeon.
Be aware the bandit dungeon in question is a high level one.
I hope bloodthirst is worth it then
Property or enchantment?
Enchantment.
Hello i search Salvadorc77 urgent because bethesda love to remove thing important on website! thanks ^^
Just a word of advice for mod users: Not only should you update your mods, but you should also run SSEEDIT on your files to get the dirty files squeaky clean.
Most games don't have worlds with the same amount of interactables. If most of the decorations are static parts of the world, there's more memory for things like arrows.
Hey @night rover
Apologies for the ping but I'd like to ask, why was the ability to view your LO offline on consoles removed?
Load order can still be viewed offline, but you need to load a save first. Once your character is up, go to the menu and access "mods" and you'll get your full load order.
This change had to be made to close a moderation exploit.
Well looks like the engine fixes github has progress 👀 so guess that means things are being done. 👀
Any mods where I can wear the peacekeeper armor as a guy?
I feel like I should be asking Arthmoor this but according to more console information ussep touches the hearthfire horse in windstad manor. it is not using the immersive horses AI package. for some reason when using the alternate start mod. I just want to know if it is likely altering it as a bug fix as it theoretically should still use the vanilla horse stuff which would make it compatible with immersive horses but that doesn't appear to be the case.
It's a strange situation for sure that only seems to affect that one horse and no others in the game.
I have reasons for trying to figure this out cause I plan to try patching more then one horse mod to work with IH's ai packages.
But I'm wondering if perhaps maybe a patch to that horse is needed as well. 🤷♀️
Just released this : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/76386
Oh nice mod 👀
I'll probably check it out. Will have to see if it might work with modded races as it sounds like it should in theory.
Nice.
I wonder if it works better than the last "people mannequins" mod I had?
Once everything is up to date I'll have to try it to see how it behaves for me.
@silent seal USSEP only adjusts the placed references for those horses, not the basic NPC records where those AI packs would be found.
Good to know so it's something else then.
this reminds me of Kain's sword, from Legacy of Kain, they don't look the same by any means, just gives me that vibe
Hi @pine crown. I was wondering if you could clear something up for me since I’ve been banging my head against the wall trying to figure it out. Behind Carlotta’s house there is a water trough that looks like it was placed to cover up a bad seam. In reading USSEP patch notes, it does mention addressing a landscape tear or something back there , but doesn’t say how. Is the water trough from USSEP? Just wondering, thanks for your mods, I use a lot of them!
do you have a picture of the tear
There's a horse trough back there but it's added by the Fishing DLC and has nothing to do with any land tears.
Thank you! This has been bothering the living crap out of me, haha. Thanks for the reply!
Not of the tear since it’s covered up but the conflict is with a mod called “Cooking in Inns and Taverns.” It places an oven behind Carlotta’s house so she can actually sell fresh baked loafs… I’m gonna reach out to the MA and see if they’ll patch it or something similar.
Ask them to add pepperoni and provolone, so she can sell fresh baked pepperoni bread, please.
Decided I'd start working on a swift steed stables immersive horses compatibility patch, since I asked Fierymerigold if I could patch it and share the patch and was given the okay too. Going to be working on it on wednesday. Then going to seek out some other mod authors to ask If I can make patches for those other mods to work with immersive horses. I'm actually going to attempt to contact all of the mod authors for the mods I want to make patches for and hope that a lot of them are active.
SSE Engine Fixes has been updated
Finally
So I have a mod issue
I have sylvien and saoirse downloaded. But only saoirse is spawning. Sylvien is supposed to be at nightgate inn
Traveled to another city to wait 10 days to reset the cell and see if that works
I'm so confused how only half the mod is working
Messing with load order now
I'm screaming!!! She's a floating head now
Ignore me peeps skyrim just hella glitchy with the newest update on my end.
Hello , how to increase a mod with traduction in ps4 load ?
hi there first message on here. Ive had major problems with mods on vortex and basiclly have given up, My mate said Bethesda do SSE mods so im intrigued now to find a really good download area and how i go about installing mods via steam or Bethesda, oh yes i do have the anniversary edition mods already
I have a question
Ok I updated some of my mods so that they could work on the new update
If I were to downgrade to an older version like 1.6.353 would I have to downgrade my mods that I updated to work on 1.6.640
no the downgrader resets your skse64 for you
There's a mod menu in game that will give you access to the mods on bethesda.net.
At least for (non-GOG) PC and console.
After launching the game, if you click on "Mods" in the main menu, you'll be brought to the Bethesda.net Mods service.
You can also browse this on the website, add any interesting mods to your library, and then quickly access them in-game: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim?number_results=20&order=desc&page=1&platform=WINDOWS&product=skyrim&sort=popular&text=

Out of curiosity, what were the previous issues you were experiencing with mods? If we can sort that out for you, you'll be able to better avoid these problems whereever you download your mods from.
Blimey couldn't load the game via vortex, errors all over, I've dpent 2 weeks trying to resolve them. All I want to fo is mod my game and play, I like an immersive game with good graphics and an angle on survival any suggestions on mods? Obviously frostfall but I do have the AE content so might go eith survival. I was looking at about 50 mods is that ok?
Vortex can be a bit tricky - but it's better than just loading the mods without any organisation.
I'm running Mod Organiser 2. It's a little more complex than Vortex, but it allows for a lot more careful adjustment and stability.
I'm running upward of 300 mods comfortably with MO, although several are patches between different mods - which is something that the bethesda net mod portal is less good at.
Quick question: If I'm using one mod that, among other things, changes the percentage chance to trigger the "Impact" perk to 33%. But also use another mod that, among other things, changes the perk to trigger 50%, would the lower mods chance just simply overwrite the higher one, or would they conflict?
Depends which one loads last.
on a related note do i need to uninstall everything and reinstall sse via steam?
So the lower mod would just simply take priority on the perk? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just still not too sure on what would determine a simple overwrite and what would cause conflicts/crashes.
The lower mod takes priority in any conflict.
Basically if two mods try to change the same thing, only one can win.
Crashes are sometimes caused where two mods alter different parts of something, and so it doesn't work together any more (say one of the mods removes something entirely, but the earlier mod is relying on that being in game).
If you're changing mod organise, it's probably good practice to uninstall, delete the SSE folder and reinstall - then install everything that you want on the new installation.
@formal spoke So I guess they should be fine then? Thanks for your help. 😁
@formal spoke
Awesome on it now goodbye nexus hello Bethesda 👍👍
I would say to persevere with Nexus, because you can get patches that make various mods work together, but you do you. 😄
so if i stick to nexus and download say 35 mods does vortex sort them? My problem i find is that skse64 is so unstable and causes a lot of crashes
Vortex will sort them, although you might need to do some minor manual adjustments.
Tell it to "deploy" mods to get it to do its thing.
As for skse being unstable and causing crashes, that's usually a mod conflict, and not skse itself.
Make sure you've looked for patches between mods that make them play nicely.
I've had such an awful experience with nexus/vortex that I'm going to stick with Bethesda as all I want to do is play the game, I've dpent 2 weeks dance an update destroyed my save trying to make it work via doing this snd that but to no avail so now I would rather download a more stable set of mods and enjoy killing dragons and dying of hypothermia 😂😂😂
Ah! That's not a nexus problem. It's the mods needing to update thanks to the update.
It's not the mods or nexus being unstable it's Bethesda updating out of the blue.
Once the mods are updated, there are usually no problems with stabilty.
And if they're SKSE related, you'd still have the problem going via Bethesda's site.
As a rule of thumb, anything that can be uploaded to Bethesda.net is not going to be affected by these recent updates because none of it uses the things that "break" when updates happen.
Agree that's the problem and I've noticed as the game ages fewer mod authors update there mods.
Flicking through the mods on Bethesda most if those I used are available seems only about 10 missing obviously skse64 and mum are the main 2.
why dp people keep pretending bethesda did this out of the blue
they said they were gunna do an update to fix a few things a while ago
It came out of the blue to me. Admittedly I don't watch the bethesda page, but it didn't come up in any bethesda modding groups I pay attention in until after the update had hit.
they said it shortly after the update ebfore hand
there was some updates they needed to do
people just assumed it was over
im not knocking Bethesda its more that when updates get dropped fewer mod authors update there old mods. Roll on skrim 6 but as thats way off in the distance for now modded sse will suffice
Does anyone know any Bethesda mods that make dungeons darker?
@wind stag that's awesome cheers 🍻
Gotta say the mods seem easier to install and cause less trouble than vortex do far loving the new experience
I've loaded up my game and enabled frostfall but no warmth showing on any armour or clothes? Any ideas?
What system?
Steam using Bethesda mods
Not sure of the easy button on PC. Maybe something like restart the game?
Just trying that. I get the warmth and coverage totals but nothing on the individual items? Could it be a load order issue?
Are the items vanilla? Modded items aren’t always compatible with Frostfall. And by modded items I don’t mean retextured items. But new items added to the game. New armor or clothing not normally present in the base game.
Yes. Or it could be that two of your mods really need a patch to work together.
Ahh OK so if I uninstall frostfall and activate survival mode that should resolve the issue?
Assuming the items are compatible with survival.
And that you don't do that on an existing save.
11no it would be a new save thst way I can test out if its a frostfall issue?
Incidentally on vortex does it sort mods into the correct load order?
yes.
That's the step it's doing when it "deploys" mods.
Alternatively you might need a patch for the mods that add items that add the relevant keywords to the items in question.
That patch may or may not exist.
What items are not working? All? Or just specific ones?
Seems its frostfall all the others seem to be doing as I've set
I mean which items are not showing warmth ratings. All? Or just specific ones?
All, I've checked armour, clothes and boots but no warmth ratings show
Hi! I'm new to this server and new to heavy skyrim modding so I'm wondering if someone could help me organize my load order. I've been making this load order for a few months following the logical load order spreadsheet but I'm not sure if all of these are in the proper order. If anyone could take a look at and see if anything is obviously wrong with it that would be much appreciated.

Are you on Xbox or PC? Looks like lots of PC only mods. But you are using the LLO. Usually used just on Xbox/PS.
Im on PC but I couldn't find a similar list for PC so im using this one
You'll want to look at your load order with xEdit. Especially look at your level lists, magic, items, your towns, Legacy of the Dragonborn with CACO and loot lists, Imperious with WICO, and CACO with any crafting/items. You'll need to create patches for yourself if they are not available. Load orders are as individual as the person designing them so there may be a compatibility patch, and there may not be.
WICO is one of my all-time favorite NPC overhauls, but you've got a bit of work to do if it doesn't have Imperious already included. I cannot remember if it is. Have you ever modded before? For face tints you can only have one set of values for both male and female per race per load order so patching WICO with other mods is a tedious, timely process, which is why the mod page says what it says in the installation instructions. Imperious hard edits the same race records as WICO. Additionally, WICO carried over all vanilla bugs on the NPCs it changed so if you're not using USSEP, you're going to have them unless you use the WICO-USSEP patch. One of the more annoying bugs carried over is lack of graveyard support and dead body clean up on the bugged NPCs. You'll want to add WIdeadbodycleanupscript to the NPCs that are bugged. You can do that with the Creation Kit. You'll also need to give them an urn or coffin so they're cleaned up correctly when they die. There's also a couple of NPCs that have the wrong keys for their homes that are not carried over (and I cannot remember if they are with Imperious) so you'll need to fix those too. (It's easier to just use USSEP, use xEdit to roll the WICO-USSEP patch into the main WICO mod, carry over Imperious, and then double check that all the edits were carried forward. The USSEP team took care of the NPCs a long time ago for us.)
OR you can simply drop Imperious. That is an option too.
You'll also want Bring out your dead as a bug fix so any additional vanilla NPCs will have vanilla graveyard support if they die and you might have to also patch those with WICO. I think you might also have to patch locations with your city/town overhaul, but those two things you can check in xEdit and see and just carry over the VMAD records if they require it. Any mod-added NPC city/town dwellers will need to have their own graveyard support added if they have not been given it. Not having graveyard support is considered a bug, I think.
And speaking of bug fixes, I'm not sure if any of the mods you've got has the brawl bug fix. It should be in USSEP? I think? If not using USSEP, get the fix. There should be a list of fix mods that USSEP made obsolete on the AFKmods site, but I don't know if that's just for FO4. So you'll need all those if you aren't going to use just the one mod which is USSEP. You have a 255 plugin limit (unless you're using ESLs) so be aware of how many you've chosen. Skyrim can only load so many animations before crashing. If using SKSE64 and it has been updated, add Animation Limit Crash Fix SSE if you're adding animations.
Legacy of the Dragonborn touches a lot of things. My understanding is that it is something of an overhaul. There might be guide for it for mods that are compatible with it or how to patch it.
Check your data folder and see that you're only altering each interface file only once. You've got a lot listed in that section.
ELFX is an interior/mesh overhaul. JK's is a city overhaul. You'll need to carry over any changes from other mods into a patch for JK's/ELFX and you might have have to patch your navmesh depending on if there's any overlap between your world edits. If you are going to use that many reference edits, you may wish to add SSE Engine Fixes so you do not overload your game and CTD.
Build your load order's LOD based on your chosen tree/mountain texture and exterior edit mod after you have your load order patched and finalized.
Someone else will need to come along and either correct me or give you additional info regarding everything else. Mods on PC are not plug n play, and there is no magic compatibility button to push.
It should be in USSEP? I think? Brawl bugs isn't part of USSEP. Way back in the day when Jon first came up with it, he said that while it was useful, it was something he said wouldn't be suitable for inclusion directly. It's been so long now though that I don't recall what his reasoning was on that.
Using sse via steam and Bethesda mods does the deoy mods button work? Or should I deploy my mods another way, I'm new to all this and could use a load order guide. In the past I've used vortex and nexus but want to try Bethesda and steam.
Apologies, Arthmoor. I was probably confusing the Skyrim thing with the fixes you guys did for the brawls during two quests in FO4.
No worries, I just wanted to make sure that was clear.
It does so much, it's easy to assume something has already been included. >_>
Thank you all for the help!
Since when were 4k pelts ever in ussep 💀
Here's a full tutorial on how to use the Bethesda site to download mods. Let me know if you need any additional info or if I missed something. https://oddlittleturtle.com/load-order/faq/downloading-basics/
It works the same for both games and across all three platforms (PC, Xbox, and PlayStation).
Just wanted to report I made progress on my patch project learned how to copy a horse actor template. Now I just need to get the AI packages from immersive horses into template and apply all that to 75 horses in swift steed stables and turn that esp file into a patch and hope and pray it works. But first I'll be patching the cc reindeer to work with IH as a test.
I'm ssedit right now cause it's proving to be a lot easier for me to interpret then the ck at the moment for this whole process.
Did the SE CK receive an update between now and June? I haven't been keeping up with the Skyrim side of things. Asking because I just accidentally selected the wrong CK and it auto-loaded default.esp. It has never done that before.
Nope. SE CK hasn't been updated again since they moved it to Steam.
Just released a new mod for PC and PlayStation
Has anyone tried out the newly released Adamant mod on PS4? It says it's a port of the latest version on Nexus, and that it requires Mysticism, but the only version of Mysticism on Beth.net doesn't work. Maybe the guy who ported the newest version of Adamant is also going to port the newest Mysticism?
Edit: Immediately after posting this I thought about checking the WIPS section on Beth.net, and there it was. 😔
Hi, does anybody know how to workaround Bethesdas High res texture DLC?
isn't SE already had high res tex dlc ?
?Lot
Which DLC?
I've got an idea for a mod for the "summon" and "raise dead" spells: If all levels of summon/raise spells' timers would not start counting down until combat starts, then it would be possible for necromancers/conjurers to have a constant follower even in the early game. At least until 60 seconds after combat starts. Would this even be possible on PS4?
No. A spell's duration is locked in when the spell is cast. In order to refresh the timer, the spell would have to be recast.
Instead, if your goal is to change the way conjuration works so you can have a constant minion like that then you'll want to look for mods that either change the duration of the spells and/or a mod to remove the "corpse ashing" effect on necromancy spells so that they don't turn into ash piles when the spell wears off.
Well I did find one that changes all conjuration spells' duration to 24 hours. But it also makes these changes to shouts, scrolls, enchantments, and powers. Since I'm already using mods that alter shouts and enchantments, could I just place this mod higher up on my mod list and the other mods would simply overwrite the other changes?
Could try to make thrall spells available earlier in game, and focus on conjuration cost reduction combined with magicka boosting gear/potions, to cast it. If it's permanent, you should be able to put on your "casting gear," cast the thrall, then put on your normal battle gear and go about your merry way.
I usually set up a set of conjuration gear on the lightest equipment I can, and carry it around in case my Thrall wanders off or has to be recast for some reason.
Well my mod list is definitely in conflict with eachother and loot definitely hasn't helped with it. 💀
So I'm dealing with, 1 random crashes, not right away but it does happen. 2 my horse replacer has decided only brown horses exist. Oh and visible neck seams which isn't unusual but a minor annoyance. Oh and load order is definitely in need of manual sorting atm since loots sorting has been done but is not a good sort order.
In theory, yes. You'd want to test it out first on a new save just to be sure they are able to work together like you suspect, though.
I tried out that 24 hour duration mod, and I don't think it's quite what I want. Mainly because I forgot that I had recently downloaded the Necromantic Grimoir cc content, and its' summons weren't included in the mod.
Question: If I were to buy Skyrim SE from GOG (It's on sale right now) would I be able to use the creation kit and create my own mods for PS4 with that version? I think my crappy laptop should just be able to run it.
After doing a bit of my own research (I really need to start doing that BEFORE I post a question😁) it looks like the creation kit does technically work on the GOG version, but it requires a bit of "fiddling". I'm not the most pc-savvy guy, and I'm not going to spend money on something I may or may not even get running. Oh well...
So I guess I'll just straight up ask: Would anyone be willing to create a mod for PS4 that changes every, including Necromantic Grimoirs', summon/raise dead spells' duration to 30 minutes? That should be, in my opinion, enough to have a fairly constant, early game conjured follower, but just short enough to benefit from extra duration perks.
hey can some one show me how to mode skyrim se ms
Is that one the one called ccvsvsse003-necroarts.esl?
That question was not directed specifically to you but was simply referencing for anyone to answer.
Apologies for the ping (yet again). I didn't want to create an incompatibility with mods that touch vanilla magic so made this. https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4294115

I spent most of my Sunday selecting 100 mods (max on PS4/5) to make Skyrim more beautiful/difficult) and checking the load order with youtubers. I am going to try a new game on Tuesday, I hope it works oke.
@sage echo Thank you for that! 😊
You're welcome. Have fun. 🙂
It a master file. At least on Xbox it is.
Any reason why SkyUI would be crashing Skyrim from MO2?
I know its not any other mods because I've ran Skyrim SE with literally nothing else and it still crashed.
There is a chance the mod itself may need to be updated
It’s not just SkyUI, I’ve also had some problems with RaceMenu.
What version of Skyrim are you running?
Racemenu isn't showing as up to date with 1.6.640 for me.
SE not AE.
I’m AE, and the most recently updated one.
Hey guys, I'm on PS4 and I have a question about the Beast Strange Magic Bundle Edition Omega. Is anyone else who has it installed experiencing a total game crash when they even stop on the Dwemer Centurion race? I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Also, I had a mod that added a spell called Take Out Ore. Which is exactly what it sounds like. It added the spell book to Embershard Mine. But I can't find it in the mod menu in game. Was it removed?
See if you can find it on site and favorite it
Do someon know good body mod for females
what platform

The only up to date version of RaceMenu is on their Patreon page
Hm. Not the most convenient way around it, but I guess it'll work well enough now I'm down to waiting on "optional" mods to update to rebuild my load order.
I guess I'll see how it goes from there.
Is anyone using the mod
Knights of the nine battlemage mod on Xbox
I need some help with it
What's going on?
I installed the mod went to the hall of the vigilant went into the basement like it said and it crashes halfway down the steps, I even went over my load order looking for conflicting mods and tried moving it around in my load order....... Didn't help
Is that Maty’s from 2012 or the updated version from 2018? Or is there a converted SSE version? Do you have a link?

It was ported to Xbox
That did not answer my question. Which version was ported? Check the bug reports on the original mod page for whichever version is listed on the description. If they’re what you’re experiencing, then the porter did not bother to give the mod some TLC that mods that old need for conversion from 32 bit to 64 bit and then conversion to Xbox. If there’s a Discord link, submit a bug report to the porter if they have a bug form so they can fix it for Xbox. They’ve assumed responsibility for it and any bugs that arise on console.
If it’s insta-crash, could be bad mesh or could be bad navmesh or could be a trigger that is expecting something that is not there. There’s several other possibilities.
I’m not sure if CreateDDS errors happen on Skyrim but they do on FO4 with textures that corrupt when archiving.
Remove any interior lighting mod and check the armor mod on a new save. Not sure if that would instacrash like that but eh. Troubleshooting all possibilities. Anything that touches that interior (mesh, light, character, texture) remove and retest. If it works alone, the mod has conflicting records.
A question. There's one Skyrim mod that I use - "Become A Bard" - that's been sort of abandoned for six years. The version available through the in-game interface (load Skyrim SE from the launcher, click on "Mods" from the menu) appears to have some bugs in it that are not present in the version for Skyrim LE available through Nexus (I have not tested installing the SE version through Nexus instead of through the in-game "Mods" menu).
Wondering why this might be the case? Is this a known thing, that versions of mods on Nexus may be more up-to-date than those available through Bethesda if the owner doesn't think to push the update in both places?
Also, I am disappointed in the Cutting Room Floor. The mod that added the Briarheart Geis weapon to the game, with its unique enchantment (+5 damage against Nords), made it undisenchantable so I can't learn it myself. It used to be disenchantable in the original game, just not available.
Or is it the USSEP that makes both the Briarheart Geis and the Notched Pickaxe undisenchantable? (Just tested by using the console to create a Notched Pickaxe, only to find it couldn't be disenchanted.)
At least the "Huntsman's Prowess" from the Poacher's Axe and the "Fiery Soul Trap" from the Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls still work...
I don't know if CRF is removing the ability to disenchant the Briarheart Geis, but considering the USSEP only fixes bugs for vanilla Skyrim and its DLC, I doubt it's doing anything with the Geis either. It does remove the ability to disenchant the Notched Pickaxe though.
there's a decent amount of mods on bnet that are out of date compared to nexus versions
Hm, I wonder in that case if there's a way to get them updated on bnet? Or is that basically up to the mod author, and if they have retired or disappeared leaving a nexus update but not a bnet update, it'll be stuck behind the times?
Basically if the porter is non active, there’s not much to be done and additionally that mod itself hasn’t been updated since 2016. There are more current bard mods out there that you might try. Just curious since I use Become a Bard myself, what bugs do you mean? I’ve not had any issues with it.
Basically the Raven Rock Solstheim inn doesn't work (of course trying to shoehorn base-game functionality into Raven Rock also didn't work with the Thieves Guild radiant quests, either the base game or the USSEP fixed that by simply disabling Raven Rock as a possible destination), and I can't get my companion to play along with me even if they have the correct instrument...
Admittedly I don’t spend much time in Raven Rock or have really tried the companion feature of this mod but I know only songs with two parts will prompt your companion to play and I’m guessing the mod was designed before the Dragonborn DLC dropped. It was ported to SE but that doesn’t mean the Retching Nest was added or accounted for.
Retching Netch was accounted for, in the version on Nexus, wihch I have for my Oldrim (Skyrim LE) installation. It just doesn't seem to be working in the bnet version.
Also... Is there a mod anywhere which FINALLY fixes the "Honningbrew Meadery Perpetually Locked" bug in which Mallus will lock you out and treat you as a trespasser (and sometimes treat you as a trespasser even if you walk in while the door is unlocked after waiting for it to unlock)? That strikes me as exactly the sort of bug that should be fixed by the USSEP, but isn't.
Have you reported this bug to the USSEP team?
Never encountered that.
If it's an issue it isn't something that's ever been reported to us.
Okay, consider it reported, right here, right now:
Sometimes, after completing the Thieves Guild quest that replaces Sabjorn with Mallus Maccius in Honningbrew Meadery and unlocks Maccius as a fence, Honningbrew Meadery's front door will be locked, for no good reason, for many hours at a time, even during broad daylight (so it is not a case of trying to enter at night). I have known this "locked" status to persist for over 24 hours at a time (I believe my record so far, waiting one hour at a time outside the front entrance and checking, is 31 hours). If you unlock it and enter, Maccius will treat you as if you are trespassing, refuse to deal with you, and you may even get a bounty for this.
Sometimes I have even gone in when the door is unlocked and Maccius still treats me like a trespasser.
This is happening on Skyrim Anniversary Edition, and has happened in earlier versions of Special Edition and Legendary Edition.
Earlier reports of it can be seen in various places online:
https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/4hzr2p/honningbrew_meadery_and_mallus_maccius_bug_fence/ from 2016
https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/ks1wxe/mallus_maccius_trespassing_bug/ from 2021
And various other reports going back several years.

So I just got Skyrim Legendary on PC to try it with some mods
Mods are minimal beyond SkyUI and Unofficial Patch.
My first question, aided by the OP's statements in the linked threads, is has the presence of this bug been detected and confirmed in a completely mod-less vanilla game though?
