You’ll need to post your load order. No one can assist you without it. You’ll need to start a new game without the mods you delete.
If it’s a UI or HUD mod, then that is a definite remove.
Hi all! So I still am having issues with Boston. It’s like anywhere near Combat zone or Swans Pond is a no-go. I have Moribund and some mods that are cheat/companion mods (Mainly just the cheat menu) as well as a few weapon mods.
Any ideas?

Not with this patch. It means they're laying groundwork on a possible future update that does.
I do have a question of my own regarding the Nov 10th patch as far as the CK goes, but I'm hesitant to ask it until then regarding a potential upload change
How hard will be downgrading FO4 version in Steam? At least from what I’ve seen, it’s not as straightforward as just clicking a different version in Steam settings. And plus you’ll have to know exact packages that were associated with older version
does anyone know a reliable way to 'turn off' updates for fallout 4? i really couldnt care less what the update adds, i just dont want to fix all my mods for no reason
also does it refer to a potential increase to the 2 gig limit and or an increase to the 150 mod limit ?
you get a program to do it. its pretty simple. just search for fallout 4 downgrader and nexus mods will pop up

Mods that are "plug-ins" should be ok. Music, I believe is treated like a plugin and should be fine. Fps fixer ties to the games .ini and should be disabled.

That's a bit of misinfo. FPS fixers that adjust physics to get around the 60fps cap are PC only. Precombine fixes like Boston FPS Fix and my own series of plugins should work provided AE doesn't change the master files significantly.
Wondering if anyone has or can make a background radiation mod for ps4. And make vault suits and certain clothes provide a level of protection ?
And radiation sources get a major boost to output.
Don't forget to disable your mods and leave out cookies for Todd Howard before Monday's update.
hm.. i know menu changing mods will be broken but what about mods that change the menu music?
As long as that doesn't require changing the UI files it should be fine.

If you mean with tomorrow's game update, that isn't known yet. It depends on what the update makes changes to that we might have to adjust for.

That's a difficult question then. Likely the fo4se will need to update, and the ufo4p, then every mod that had them as a requirement will need to update.

I can say on PC it would not be possible to start a modded playthrough today if you intend to allow your game to update

That's only true if the modded playthrough relies on F4SE.
You should be able to start a modded playthrough on the update otherwise.
It's just best to wait awhile anyway in case there's things that need to catch up, like UFO4P.

Hi everyone. For xbox series x fallout 4, it seems like the November 10, 2025 update already broke some mods/creation menu thing itself is having problems loading.

Nothing loading either. And still asking me to buy the 12 new creation club creations even though I purchased the bundle
We are looking into it now. I'm about to have official wording, but it seems that the systems is overwhelmed with purchases and having trouble populating all entitlements.

@placid obsidian @vivid oasis in to clarify what I said it breaking some creations- when I try to enable some creations it basically said something like "some files are missing/not present".
Just curious, does this include the previously bought dlc? I have owned all 6 for a while, bought separately, deleted them from the PlayStation and redownloaded and installed from the store, but the game still dosnt recognise that I have them, and as such no mods that rely on them will work
It may be related. I would just wait and see if once things calm down they go back to normal.
Wasn't sure if it was because I dont own the goy edition and purchased dlc separately, cant see what difference that would make though if I've still paid for the content and it's installed on the ps5 🤷♂️

With the groundwork for additional storage added today, when can we see that storage? Verified creations can be pretty big and incentive to purchase them is much harder knowing I can't have them all downloaded 😭 even the new Beast Hunter creation is a decent dip of the load order gone to use it
Hey so I know that the creations bundle just released and I don’t know if this is the right channel but does anyone know if the new creations like the institute plasma weapons and the repurposed PA helmets are included in the bundle or not?

There is something broken in game with mods made prior to this update. Atleast for my own ESPs, the game just keeps disabling them and in creation menu it says I'm missing dependencies... but I'm not.
I downloaded the CK update released today and I can open my mods - which is proof in itself I'm NOT missing anything... but even after saving in the new CK, the behavior persists. These are my own personal mods and they don't rely on anything but base game and DLC esms... even in CK they are not showing any unexpected dependencies. I don't know what the game is thinking is missing... but nothing is missing.
same here. also mods like the unoffical patch are disabled as well. it seems if the mod is dependent on dlc,s they have been disabled

If you depend on anything tied to F4SE, either downgrade or go play something else for a few weeks.

I'm having a new issue now within CK itself now where it is scrubbing a dependency even with it loaded, I've tried to reopen and save that, but it didn't help. The parenting of mods is sadly messed up and I think its going to take another update from them to fix it.
I can see the mod ticked on, loaded, but its contents are not loading, and thus next time I save, it removes it. I'm guessing it can't even load in ck because it relies on DLC as well.
I can also confirm its mods with dependencies on DLC causing the issue, I have mods with only requiring Fallout4.esm and those work just fine.
How to I downgrade the game to the version just before this update?

Constantly getting "Operation could not be completed" and when I manage to open "Creations" menue half of the mods can't be downloaded/activated as it says dependancies are missing...

Then tried the base game version, that worked but when I tried downloading the DLC patches they didn't work again

i have seen some reasonable people writing on steam that bethesda should just release a branch that would automatically update to the new one, but also you could have an option in beta section of steam to rollback to 1.10.984

more branches = less nagging about lack of stability
163 is the most stable lol
It literally has the most longevity and long term mod support
but enclave is nice, especially with those power armors

I hyped this update for myself because I thought the stutter fix was gonna be a nice thing, instead now I can't even work on my own mods until they fix whatever this problem is. I've been on a big modding kick recently so its a gutpunch. Like when you get really into an MMO and the internet is turned off for a day. Just a big stone wall.

Stutter fix exists as a mod on pc I believe, but that’s kind of the thing, is that Bethesda displaced all bug fixes to the modding community

It’s quite reasonable when I get upset after I pay for something that doesn’t work on release
ye I know there is a mod for it, but stutter bug was the #1 reason for the big divide in playerbase that happened when FOLON came out, that bug single handedly created a version split. It's fixing should have been a glorious reunification, instead it has left me with despair.
Especially when they literally had all the time in the world to make sure it worked

Me personally, I have a modlist with a modest 1200 mods, couldn’t imagine in my worst nightmares what would happen if I ever updated. I will just backport this stuff too tbh, so I can play what I paid for without nuking my game

The only thing that is more complicated to backport is f4se mods due to their obvious nature
So I just updated the game on Xbox Series X and when I try to load creations it’s just stuck in a endless vault loading symbol or it says “Operation could not be completed”. And when I try to click on creations again I’m just stuck on Home Screen and need to restart my game. Is anyone else having this issue?

So I can’t download “Tale of the Beast Hunter” because I “don’t have enough space.” The mod/creation is 200mb and I have 340mb free (I think I can’t read cuz the font is too small). Anyone else having this issue?

Delete a mod and try. You won’t be able to use all 2gb no matter what you do. Some is reserved.
This is the Skyrim effect. Now you need at least twice the size of the mod to be able to install it.

oh hell yeah this'll be great for building up cities and outposts
I highly recommend Vault 88 Essentials for all vault building, I personally added even more snaps to it. There's a video on how those make life easier on the mod page. I think workshop rearranged adds boxing rings as well. Housekeeping and Busy Settlers also make lots of cool mats.

Hey people with experience from the last patch: all DLC mandatory mods are broken. How does this get resolved in the real world? Do the individual mod authors have to individually fix their mods? Or does Bethesda recognize that they effed this all up and fix it? Or some third thing? Should I just give up and go play something else?
I’m on Xbox, If I delete my mods that are titled as .esp or .esm etc. and replace them with the actual mods from my library, will I corrupt my save by deleting the original files

It's actually useless. This will not change the names. You should wait for a fix. Maybe play something else for the moment. Half of my mods are impossible to activate. What you see is the actual name of the mod file.

Yeah I can tell that its all messed up. But like I bought the creations bundle, but all the creations are taking up the entire plugin limit for me. So I'm super limited with the amount of mods I can have. I just get an instant CTD if I enable one mod more than I currently have.

I got mad and just removed all of my mods off of Nexus and I'm going to go back to the drawing board whenever they get everything fixed

But like literally enabling the New Vegas Ranger armor mod for me causes instant ctd. But if I disable any other mod like that, I can all of a sudden enable it without crashing.
I have only 77 ESP files so there is no way I am actually over the limit

And going and verifying your files through steam and reloading the game
I have reinstalled the game twice, deleting every single file. I have zero conflicts with mods, unless they somehow conflict with the creation club stuff. Sorted the load order with LOOT. I am at wits end with this.

I know it’s probably been asked a million times but, any fix to Creation Club stuff not working? I’ll download and enable all, and then the game will restart and i’ll go back into Creations and it says I need to redownload them all despite the storage still being taken.

On console you are currently SOL until Bethesda patches the game and CK again.
On PC if you enable everything in an external manager like Vortex - don't touch Creation menu again - and then load using the new load order when prompted, everything will work.

Thank you for the super quick turnaround, the odd thing in the creation menu it says I cant enable it because its missing a dependency but I downloaded all the CC in the main menu when I first launched the game. (I also checked my Data folder and all the creation files are in there)

just got a reply from a support ticket, apparently the reason why mods that require dlc dont work is due to them needing to be updated to the latest version of the game. i dont think thats the real reason, but just thought id let people know this response i got

So many mods need dlc to work, especially on Xbox. I had 150/150 enabled before this update and after 46/150. that is insane.

yeah consoles is a no go atm... we need a fix on PC just as well because the actual Creation Kit inherrited part of the bug.

Anyway as I explained before it was deleted - since people should actually know this - Bethesda's response is incorrect.
The in-game Creations menu is the source of the problem. Our mods are not actually broken and we aren't missing files. Opening them in the new CK does not fix the issue.
The only way to avoid the bug - currently only available to PC - is to use a mod manager and never touch the Creations menu.
Is it happening randomly or all the time? Like if I make a plugin that requires DLCCoast, would it disable if the plugin exists if named DLCCoast.esm or dlccoast.esm?
I haven't tried to change cases because realistically it shouldn't matter. (File names aren't usually case sensitive)
It seems the menu is unhooking dependencies incorrectly because if you make that plugin and enable with vortex, don't touch Creations menu - it will load just fine, shining light that the real culprit is the Creations Menu. Something in that menu makes it want to shut them all off even though the dependencies are actually fine.

Interesting. I turned off auto-updates, didn't buy any of the stuff from yesterday, and exclusively launch the game through FKSE on the Vortex dashboard; from there, I went and tried taking a peek at the Creations menu - saw a handful of things before it kicked me back to the main menu with some error message. But all my Nexus mods are still fine, even after doing so
I'm trying to be as vocal about it on every platform I can. There's actual Bethesda folks here so it would be nice if even one of them aknowleged reading the problem.

That's actually very useful info. It tells me the problem only happens when the Creation Menu detects a LO change. Since many of us got free creations or bought the upgrade, the in-game menu likely want to resort the LO.
Later today once I'm off work I'll try opening up the Creations stuff again, and take note of the specific error I get when I'm kicked back to the main menu. Also planning on grabbing a new mod later, so since that'll technically add to my LO, things might change
I updated f4se to newest version, but i guess i have to wait for High FPS Physics Fix, Better Console and Address Library to get updated. Is there any alternatives to these mods?

no file change because xbox. my only guess is that mods that require dlc need to read said dlcs master files right? so what if the problem is that the creations menu cant read the dlc master files for some reason, thus making it so that mod that need those files cant activate

It seems to be something along those lines. I'm not on Xbox, but for myself on PC, and based on reports from PS users, the DLCs don't even show in your load order in the Creation menu. It simply just nopes them out of existense.
The original 6 DLCs were never shown in the load order. They are accessed through the game files on Xbox as official game add-ons.
My mods are just screwed up
It’s partly my fault which makes it worse
I thought they were all broken (most of them weren’t as it turns out) so I deleted my reserved space on Xbox and started to reinstall the mods I had before the update, now half of those mods just cannot be enabled because they “rely on files that do not exist or have been disabled”

The timing was unfortunate. I reinstalled the game and CK a few weeks ago to work on another VC and did not reinstall the full gamut of CC to keep my data folder clean. I have not checked if there's going to be issues with that when I upgrade to the AE bundle.
Well that factor may also prove to be irrelevant then. Regardless the Creation Menu itself believes they aren't present. You can load into game and even go to the DLC so its def there.
Hope they get on this soon. I feel we've gotten as far as we can without them fixing it.
i updated to the latest version last night and at first it would not enable so i performed a hard reset. when i went back into the creations menu and then my mod list it was active and i was able to activate many of the other disabled mods. but when i backed out to the main menu and went to start the game it showed that the mod was once again disabled. at it has stayed that way. so the dlc bug is something on bethesdas end for sure.
Just swapped over to my XB1, cleared storage, getting the same issues in the mod manager. Can't even load my own mods.

You can still go to the load order menu and organize your mods, just don't try to activate them from that menu. You have to go to "Bookmarked" and click enable. Then back out and reload the game, repeat the process to enable the next mod. Even in the load order menu, it may show your mod isn't on, but it actually is if you've enabled them through the Bookmarked category. Very weird to work around, so I hope this makes sense!
1 by 1 mod install with shutdown in between sounds painful, but if it works its interesting anyway and might help you console players.

I'd love if someone could make a mod that is basically an item converter. Something that you can convert stuff like junk, drugs, bottlecaps to idk random legendary items.
I'd imagine that it would let you choose an item category (like armor, power armor, ranged weapon, melee weapon) and then gives you prices for it (like x amount of drugs or x amount of junk) so basically an exchange system to have a sink for all the stuff you collect and at some point probably have way too much of.

They’re working on it. The unfortunate reality is that it takes time to identify the issues, identify a proper fix, and then implement a patch for it.
No one likes hearing it but we have to wait and be patient. You can submit tickets but there are moderators on here who work for the company and are actively communicating.

Yeah. I’m CISO of my company. Totally get how this works. Literally lead projects to do that. As long as they know and they fix it. The problem nowadays is people ship betas like production and then we as customers pay for it. They do they to inflate share price.

One thing I would like passed to whoever handled the release engineering for the patch though. Find out why DLCCoast - Main.ba2 is the same for all three storefronts. Gamepass/EGS should not have gotten that version as the Precombine/Vis files match up with steam's files. Or alternatively finally push the updated DLCCoast among other archives as I noted here, https://discord.com/channels/784542837596225567/1437541959508951111 to the steam version and make them all consistent as possible.
This is not a CK dialog box. Consult Perchik in the usual channel for CKPE
It's probably your version of CKPE not recognizing the updated CK release

My mod will blunt most of the effects of that mismatch (as it wholesale replaces the vanilla regeneration) but not everyone uses it and consoles just can't for filesize reasons.
you have to delete all files related to the old kit. For me what I did was wipe everyting in the main folder except the subfolders, so all the dlls, exe etc. Validated the main game with Steam so it puts back what belongs, then reinstalled CK and it works. I tried to do it manually just comparing to the folder for CKPE, but must have missed something.
EDIT: Nvm I see you did use CKPE, that is the source for sure. Just clear out the base folder. You can leave Data and all the big folders, just nuke the loose files and reveirfy.
There's also the precombine breaking issue of the Bunker Homes CC, but I'm working around it

Related to the mismatch issue, just saw this in the CK log window (a CKPE feature, probably normally would show up in the warnings list without it):

Xbox: it seems to work for at least one mod, it’s seems a bad idea to go to load order, I haven’t succed yet to do it with 2 mods, I succed to load Touch of life - complete with this method

But suddenly all my saves are saying lookup failed and even my pip boy is saying lookup failed 😬😬 (xbox x no mods) its to the point where I don't feel its safe to even play right now. I fear future saves will be lost, corrupted or just gone. I'm gonna watch a movie tonight instead I guess.

If I remember correctly that could also cause the vault door in 111 to break, and you're going to have to elaborate a little.
I got my mods that didnt want to work by manually editing the plugins.txt and adding a * next to mods that didnt want to work because of dependencies

Yep, on PC you should be able to use any of the various mod managers to enable your mods. Just stay out of the Creations menu once you launch the game and they won't get disabled.
Hopefully that gets fixed soon, it's really hindering consoles right now though I've been enjoying the newer stuff, trying to actually find a bunch of the new weapons like the wattz and cosmic knife as well as whatever uniques there are

Three of my mods have been disabled and when I try to enable any of them, the following notification is popping up "This Creation cannot be enabled since it depends on files that aren't present or that have been disabled.". The mods in question are Capital Wasteland Auto Axe, Wasteland Imports - Goodies from across the wasteland, and Better Enemy Weapon Variety(DLC weapons in base game).
It's because the menus not detecting the dlc, they'll fix the issue as soon as possible, if it's past midnight I'd suggest getting some rest for the day ahead.

ive pressed "no" and just kept gaming before. both for skyrim and F4, without issues. it can be any mod(so if its a big one it can cause issues). but my problem was an engine fix mod on fallout4 and part 1 needed an update on skyrim.

so wait with the new update to CC what's the new "mod space" thing? can i still use my mods from nexus mod loader and everything be fine or is mods now only able to be so large? ive got many large mods installed on my nexus and dont want to have to toss them and restart my fallout 4 world just to mess around with them.

If it's not an issue with getting your bundle files, then just use a mod manager like Wrye Bash or Vortex or something to enable the files and then stay out of the Creations menu until Bethesda fixes the issue with the licensing server.

For xbox users : mods bind to DLC can be add by a « glitch »
Add all the mods you want to your load order, sort them + add them to favorites list
-Go back to main menu and close the game
-Reopen your game , go to creation, go to your favorites, choose one mod and activate it, go back to main menu and close the game (never go to load order again)
-Restart the same with another mod

When I was testing last night, I was only able to do one at a time and I had to completely exit the game and re-launch it.

Honestly surprised place everywhere was still operating but BFS and STS aren’t.
I'm glad but there's not enough clarity if it'll help the CK at all. The CK has a unique version of the issue. You can load these mods (with DLC dependencies) in Active slot and everything is great - but using them as a dependency doesn't work. It shows its ticked on, but all the content is stripped from your mod. It sounds very similar, but it also seems like if CK is doing it - then CK itself needs a patch as well. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Most of the outrage is about the in-game side of the issue.
I didn't have any issues with loading UFO4P with the new CK. It didn't disable any of the masters it uses.
Maybe this is the more appropriate channel to consult. In view of the potential size increase, and my main mod's 2.6gb ish size, should I split it for consoles or how should I handle it?
Yes UFO4P itself should be fine as its the first stage - but now say you make a second mod that wants UFO4P as a Master, ck will "load" it alongside, but won't add it to your mod. So patch mods or addon mods won't work if they're based on an ESP who wants DLC. Ultiamtely UFO4P will be stripped form the mod.
If they don't raise the upload size on individual mods, you'll need to split it. The current limit is 2GB and the announcement didn't specify if that's going up or not.
I have a mod Paradise Island - one of its masters is a Forest. A Forest's masters are DLC. Because my mod is 3rd in the line, when I load it, CK clearly shows A Forest is loaded, but all the obects I placed are gone, and if I save, it removed A Forest from my mod.
I suspect that it doesn't support csg/cdx uploads either, then.

That didn't happen for me. Whenever I am adding something to it, I use a separate .esp do to the staging work in. That staging file uses UFO4P as a master in addition to all the others. Nothing was stripped from it either.
I don't know why its happening to me then but it started the day of the update. I have only 5 mods installed and never changed it, but now everytime I load my own mod, it just strips the Dependencies that require DLC. Which is funny because another Dependency for my mod is Machine Gun Rebirth or whatever the newest in that line is, and it only wants Fallout4.ESM.... CK will not strip that out. It only strips out a Forest.
Actually one sec. You may need to enable a .ini option.

Should go in the [General] section of the .ini file. Preferably in CreationKitCustom.ini so that CK updates don't wipe out your changes.
I know A Forest is fine because I can load it in Active an all contents are there. It's just when it becomes a master, it drops off.
Multiple Masters is on. This is the only one getting dropped.

You can probably skip a solid minute when it starts loading lol but you'll see as soon as I manage to hit save, it remove A Forest from my mod despite claiming it there.
I know physically its missing too because the trees do not load on my island. So for whatever reason, CK is not allowing this to load.
See, that's what I was asking. "A Forest.esp" is clearly marked as a standard .esp file. That's why it's dropping references to it. The CK does not process regular .esp files properly when used that way.
You either need to set it's ESM flag temorarily or use something like CKPE to do the work instead.
The thing is, it is a Bethesda Master FIle, maybe I misunderstood your question or CK is reading it wrong
So its likely actually just the fact I don't have CKPE causing my issue because this all work before.

Yep. The CK is fine. You just either need to flag that file as ESM or use CKPE. Although that may still need to be updated for the current CK version.
CKPE is behind on version for sure, it throws errors. Fo4 Edit should be an option though since the backups of my mods are from the previous update.

Why's my mods disabled and I can't enable them

The mods are disabled due to a bug with the update causing the creations menu to not detect the DLC so any mods needing them are just disabled

Fix for that issue and a few others is slotted for early this coming week, likely Tuesday. Then the 24th we'll be getting a much needed Modding Space upgrade upwards of 100GB.
Then, another patch sometime in early December to fix other issues

Meh, they're fixing bugs that are new, and some from last update over a year ago. It shouldn't have to be "fixed" in stages, but it's Bethesda's way of doing things. I'm just happy it's finally being done
This is a bad take. See other game companies fix their bugs all at once sure, but those same game companies are infamous for horrible working conditions and crunch hours where there people work up to 80 hours a week. You know what company is famous in the industry for not doing that?

Well, if that was the take in a vacuum, sure. But they break the game with each update.
It would be one thing if I said "They have to fix these bugs now, and every bug in the game all at once." But some of what they are fixed is from a year and a half ago, and that was when the Fallout Show launched.
Updating a game nearly a decade old, breaking it's core features and waiting a year to fix them isn't really fair to console players. I dont think they should slave away updating every single bug in the game, but fixing the game breaking issues shouldn't wait nearly that long for a product still actively popular.

I think it should run well, the object density is similar to the areas in fallout 4. Most modern PCs should be able to run it without fps issues.

This update has brought no good changes for me
It thinks I don’t own any dlcs so I can’t activate mods I use on my save game
So I can’t play without corrupting the game 
Fallout just closes creations or randomly crashes with mods. I tried updating everything. Before that....half my mods were broken.
The creations menu crashes with the newer fixes.
It isn't their end but something Bethesda did with the coding. At least what I could gather from the most complaints on the subject.
I know y'all are busy on other things but this is not good.

Oh I did that, usually there shouldn't be a issue but I go in to check if anything else broke and either it closes right when it starts to load or the entire game crashes. I got frustrated and tried a clean install and still breaks somehow.
Someone mentioned it has to do with coding conflicts or something digging up information on it. But I don't know.....it's broken for now.
Might be something to do with AE itself, because I backported the new creations to 163 and they work fine

Saying something is kinda scammy and calling it an outright scam isn’t the same. I get mistakes happen. I get not having the correct equipment to test with (despite being “verified”) , I do not get why it can be shown as a working creation and then after paying for it have it freeze in workbench under its options and turn all my ghouls hands iridescent fuchsia, seems like a free mod at that rate, certainly not 4 or 5 hundred cred. I’m sure the mod is great if you can get into pink hands or crafting freezes. What is disrespectful is this gang mentality like you gotta clique up to correct someone; it was addressed and before I could make an edit someone wanted to chime in so I stand on it.

It takes them over 6 days to fix something that could have been prevented by, checks notes testing their own game. The game doesn’t wake up one day and decide to scramble its own source code, someone is responsible for it, and those someones are being paid to be responsible for managing a game we paid for. Scrutiny is valid and the reason why updates are so catastrophic is because no one is held to a standard
Also regarding the earlier discussion about ghoulification, i understand the frustration. The purple hands bug on xbox is my fault, not BGS's or QA's fault 🫣 There was a major issue in v1.0.0 where human players could turn feral after becoming addicted to something, because I forgot to add a check for the player being a ghoul in that event. I requested that that update could be pushed out as soon as possible to prevent that issue from becoming more widespread.
I'm likely going to buy an xbox for myself in the next few weeks so I can prevent this from happening in the future 🙂 Thank you to everyone for being understanding about it

But there is a consistent pattern of a severe lack of quality assurance, and saying no one is responsible contributes greatly to the problems

Again, it’s a game breaking bug, fixed in a couple days by someone that does it in their free time, and has another job. It’s calling a spade a spade. If you want to have professionalism and accountability in the workplace, you need to tell someone when they’re doing a bad job, or a good job. It stings to hear the former, but it’s necessary. Bethesda is doing a very bad job in QA. And they need to take that sincerely, to actually attempt to improve.

You are entitled to that opinion. But may I suggest that you may only be seeing part of the picture. I am not a developer, but I think that if it were so easy to launch an OFFICIAL fix across all platforms with the Bethesda name on it, it would have also been done in a couple days. No one is out there trying to scam anyone, and no one is purposely taking a longer time to fix anything, as much as I'm sure they enjoy the negative criticism coming from all directions.

I've been meaning to ask, actually. Where does one put in a change request with regard to the Creation Kit?
The CK does not currently recognize a pair of lesser known file type assets that should be packaged when uploaded to bethnet.
At least as of 1.10, I haven't tried the AE version of the CK yet.
Pretty much all of those people are on PC and using a 3rd party mod manager since those don't care about the DLC issue.

Ah, yeah, the exit bug is annoying and somehow is also affecting Starfield but I think that's been caused by a Windows update of some sort.
btw, they have updated FO4 several times over the last 10 years. This wasn't a one off blindside event.
I'm sure you also don't want to hear it, but the company has made it crystal clear for as long as their games have been moddable that they provide no support and no assurances of functionality if you use user made mods. Technically the product they've sold you is fully functional without them, and that's as far as their obligated.
Fortunately, they also love the modding community and are fixing the very thing you're talking about. A 1 week turnaround from "we have no idea what happened" to "there's a hotfix pending" is pretty darn good for ANY developer.
It's not even Bethesdas fault it took a week to get the update out. But I don't see what any of this has to do with mods besides breaking them.
Look the problem is settled by this simple fact, Bethesda by no means should have released this update with how buggy it came out. End of discussion there is no argument to be had, especially when looking at the “next gen” update was also broken and a lot of bugs they didn’t care to fix for a whole year. I remember when I was looking into buying X4:Foundations (or whatever it is) and immediately being put off by the ludicrous number of patches the company was pushing their devs for in the first 3 months after release.

The truth is you have to accept one of two outcomes, crunch or have broken products for consumers… ether way they need to hire more people if they have to crunch. I myself don’t believe such an update required crunch considering all it added was the bare minimum but yet broke so much
Now as far as this FO4 update, my working theory has been that the team in general forgot about some licensing server in a corner somewhere and allowed its certificates to expire. Which is something that even the most diligent of companies runs into all the time and it always takes awhile before someone figures it out.
This is something that doesn't routinely show up in QA either because QA is using internal builds not tied to the public licensing system. (and normally it doesn't matter that they aren't)

As much of a pain as the engine is it's literally the reason there's mods for their games.

Nothing I have said has been resolved, the update came out broken, I have to wait weeks for patches to come out. And who knows if they will patch all the problems they added in this update. And now I’m sitting here in shock I have to explain my disappointment with a broken update for an anniversary edition that was $60!

there was a mod.. jennis cheat cellar to be exact. I equipped a piece of clothing.. and it broke my entire game.. whenever i try and load that save it breaks

Anyone know of any power armor mods that make the impact sounds of bullets hitting it sound better? Maybe some special effects to make it feel more immersive? I’m on console if that helps.
does anyone know if the CC delayed mod still work in the aniversery edition since they changed how CC starts? been hearing people having problems with cc not starting, but when i used that mod, i had no issues.

You’re allowed to be frustrated. Bethesda will continue to be Bethesda and no amount of complaining will help. There are bugs that have existed since launch that were never fixed officially. Assume the worst and hope for the best. Beth always keeps me guessing. 😂

The fact that people ship bug ridden code and do not fix it quickly actually is unacceptable. The incentive to fix just isn’t there anymore. Especially when it’s a product that has no competition. You can’t just wander down the road and pick up a different Skyrim/Fallout game.
Probably because it was deemed unnecessary/broken because of how munitions works, I don't even know what a munitions patch for ECO would accomplish besides letting you put the munitions ammo,which due to how munitions works isn't a great idea to have all the ammo spawn when you probably only need a handful

It added the new ammos to the build menu so you could craft them

I’m using the ECO + NEO All DLCs Merged. So I’m not sure if that uses the most up to date versions.
Dankraft likes making his own patches for popular mods. So we will most likely see it all updated with the newest stuff.

This has always been a gripe of mine. Mod authors not using the versioning correctly and instead of a change log they instead put a comment in the comments.
True. But on console, there was always a mod cap and sacrifices had to be made. From what I’ve seen, they’ve increased that cap so I may need to just start using separate versions.
