I've done what I can on my end with fixing images. Is it still an issue?
If it had been Sony would have sent Godzilla to annihilate Microsoft
It happens frequently with all mods. The broken images make it consistent and repeatable but even with perfect images it still happens some of the time randomly
There's very little I can do on my end. i'm afraid to push any updates. I don't want to break things further.
Pushing updates is definitely problematic. I broke images on several of my mods by trying to push updates to them
I should not exaggerate, it was 2-3 out of about 25 that got stuck with broken images due to upload failure.
But it's a risk.
most of my mods only have 2 images. The cover art for the webpage and box art for the in game manager. It never fails that I choose to upload mods when the website decides to derp and it's a real pain to include them. ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ

What armor is that?
If you're on PC, load your load order in xEdit and see if anything touches the dirty pipboy armor record or any of the others.
If it boots you again when downloading, keep trying until it downloads. I had this issue with a few mods when the update dropped at first. I haven't had the issue since.
Use xEdit to delete the dirty record or go grab the pipboy from the tool box added by SKK Fast Start New Game.

First: Are you on PC?
Second: If so, FO4Edit is your friend, your lover, even. It will help you find conflicts in your load order. The image above is most definitely a conflict.
Third: the pipboy is an armor record. There are several versions used by the game and if you're using mods that don't like SKK New Game Fast Start or are using an armor that for some unholy reason has been built without taking into consideration that the player wears a pipboy, then it will not show up and you cannot access your inventory (or play the game, really)

Mods only need to be updated if they need to be updated. I have 130+ mods that don't need updating because they're finished.
ArmorKeywords needs a lot of patches. It touches all armor and weapons in the game.

I was just saying that I forgot to mention that when I tried to enable the the level list version is wouldn't work but once I add the standalone along with it had enabled it but no difference showed
๐ค That's weird as it's not required as a dependent. I still suggest starting a new save since it is a faction overhaul and should be enabled before the world is loaded. Have you tried waiting in an interior for 2 in game weeks yet?
Not yet I think I will take the new save alternative beforehand.
I am just finding this really weird because I've used the blue version of this mod before but now that it's the green version it's not working
Definitely try it. Both have work for me but I always liked the blue version as it worked better with MM aesthetic but didn't really make sense as cammo ๐ but the Gunners use green clothing so I always went with blue

Just looked up a video on a review on the blue mm mod and Preston seems to be wearing his usual kit so there's hope for that but I am not sure about his cronies.

Due to the fact you barely have them spawn in settlements is this mod going to be pointless?
Depends. If you use the MM flares, the MM will spawn with the clothing... The MM patrols will also spawn with the clothing. As well as any MM spawn when you do the Castle quest. You can then outfit your settlers with the clothing, unless you're running it with he standalone, with which you can craft for the settlers. But yeah, it only shows up on MM. You could pair this mod with "You and what army 2" or use the FCOM version with the FCOM mod.

This puts MM patrols and little encampments throughout the Commonwealth the more you progress with the MM quests.

I am currently trying to find some video of Preston and the original minutemen in concord to try and confirm that it isn't my game but instead my patience levels or just the fact I need to progress further.
I just don't want to take the risk in doing that without confirmation on what I have done is enabled.
I'm actually not sure if the Concord crew spawn with the Mil. MM clothing... I know "Liberty Reborn" mod does that but I wasn't a fan of that mod as it's way bigger than my love for the MM ๐
Actually yeah, I recall in my last playthrough with this mod that the Concord crew does not spawn with the Cloting/armor. I remember having to give them the clothing. @tame prairie

In your load order... Change the order so that "Organized Militia" is above "Militarized MM" so that Mil. MM overrides the clothing from that mod.

When you're in the Mod menu (xbox), press y and it should take you to the Load Order section, in which you can change the order of the mods that load.
I think it's because that version is probably overriding it as it's not meant to be loaded with both versions

Figured out my lookup failed problem. Deleted all saves, Had to delete then reinstall full dialogue interface and the lookup failed fix for it, then started a new game. Thankfully I wasn't far in because I got annoyed by the errors
Hmm I don't think so. Though I never did try outfitting the settlers as I wanted to keep them separate from the soldiers. I know you get a stash of them when you do the Castle Quest.

Some have had issues with accessing the mods menu, but so far, clearing the reserve space has helped regain access, at the expense of re-downloading your mods.
If I clear reserve space will it fix the mod issue?
What mod issue are you having? Can you access the mods menu or are you having issues downloading mods? The negative mod space is a bug on Bethesda's behalf but if you can access the menu, you can download mods.
The - mod space. Along with most of my mods being gone from my favorites section. I'm not sure how much space I have but I'm sure it's still 2 Gbs. Also some of my creation club content won't download. :/
The favorites section is also part of that Beth bug. But you can still access your load order. With CC... Keep trying to download, it eventually works. If it doesn't, you might want to try clearing the reserve space as that has been working for some.
I was able to download mods on my Xbox Series X with 0 bytes of space!

The update has made the mods menu a bit screwy, but I was persistent and now am able to play with mods and CC.
Your Favorites and Library are probably still there if you log in to Bethesda.net.
And your mods are probably still there if you look in your Load Order.

One of mods I use is giving ''Incompatible mod archive'' error on vortex, anyone know how to fix it?
Vortex is supposed to have a beta version out that addresses the issue.

The message you're getting is because you've installed mods meant for the NG update.
Hmmm it seems mod is packed on latest version, so that's why maybe?

New version of mod has some fixes and new items, etc, so I gotta ditch them and use older version then.
You could just update the game and you'd be fine so long as you updated Vortex along with it.
I have a lot of mod at this point, and half of them wouldn't work with next gen, and I don't wanna bother with problems next-gen update has either, so I don't think I wanna do that ๐ I guess I can simply use older version of the mod and sacrifice some features from it ๐
Or can I download beta vortex and get rid of error and use the mod without any problem? Or can I simply ignore the error and use with no problem since I have BA2 support system? Mod author told this '' if you're still on 1.10.163, you'll need to grab Backported Archive2 Support System. BASS won't fix the error from Vortex though, it just lets older game versions load Next-Gen BA2 archives.'' so I guess it should be fine.

I haven't really bothered because I have xbox so I've just been waiting, I updated my fallout on pc because I needed too to port some mods to console and so now I'm just enjoying my chill NCR playthrough which is possible even with the limit just means I can't have some of the bigger mods like PL and AR2
Mark as light feature of Vortex is best thing done to modding community, change my mind

Tried it once years and years ago when I got into modding the first time and I couldn't get it to work
So I used FOMOD instead for fallout 3 and NV
Then I got 4 on xbox and then when I finally got a decent pc to play fallout 4 I went to MO2 which I use for fallout NV, 4 and starfield

Mark as light is basicaly lets you mark mod as a light, aka not uses your 255 plugin hardcap, easy AF and damn great feature, you can have 4096 light mod as far I know along with 255 hardcapped plugin, so a lot of place, not all mods can be marked as light ofc.
But for the best thing done to modding has to be the Nexus site itself
Easy to use, almost every game can be found on it and so yea that's the best thing for modding
not in a rush to get back into playing or modding ill just hang out and get to know yall seem chill

I use other methods and if I remember it's only ESPs that are hardcapped not ESLs and ESMs and so tho I have something like 270 mods a good chunk of them are not ESP so bypass the limit
Can always go back while u wait, play some fallout new vegas or fallout 3 till the script extender gets its updated
Incoming is damage done to you, outgoing is damage you do.

Can the cheat terminal be used to get rid of bodies or skeletons from settlements? Or do I need something like STS?
Negative. You'll have to use Sts or Raze My Settlement to remove them
You can use Workshop Rearranged since it adds them to their scrap lists or use a mod to pick up heavy objects and walk them away from the settlement (or build a factory and use Manufacturing Extended to process the body).
Depends on if you want to scrap or be immersive with them.
Ooo, I didn't know Workshop Rearranged had that feature. ๐ฏ
It's a full overhaul of the workshop system and includes junk, scrap cobjs, and junk level lists.
Does it affect precombines?
No. Skeletons aren't in the precombines and all objects affected either were already scrappable or all new added by the mod.

I don't use scrapping mods. WR expands the amount of components you get back so scrap mods aren't needed. I use Manufacturing Extended to get rid of the bodies.
Lol I don't have enough room for workshop rearranged so I think I might stick with STS

It's definitely a big plus, along with the item snapping overhaul. The vanilla snapping always bothered me.
The only issue I have is that the rug glitch is no longer possible with it (the mod author removed the feature) so really crafty builds aren't all that possible without Place Anywhere

PC is always safe bet and easier for these stuff
The trash mod disables the precombines and the instructions are to rebuild them to your load order before starting the game.
Precombines have NOT been rebuilt. For a heavy load order, I would recommend building your own anyway.
Yeah, it's a bummer but understood, given console limitations. At least it's better than the PS modding, they're even more limited.

Raze the Settlement is the only mod that I'd recommend for PC. Unsure why you don't want to use that one. i missed that part of the conversation.

SMM handles the menus. Workshop Framework handles the scripting for the workshop. Two different things.

It's a bit stuttery here and there and crashes when you fast travel sometimes but that may be my L.O
It's a faction overhaul, so you would have to load it high. Though I think it's just an issue with the update cuz I had stutters even with a simple mod like NPCs Travel and that's lightweight as heck.
I still can't get it to work so Might just go with STS

Survival is great! Definitely worth a try at least once.
AN76 gives you survival options without actually having to be on survival difficulty as I hate not being able to save freely.
It's prob great if you like survival games tho, if you don't, like me, doubt it will be good ๐

I've also used SKK's Mobile Workshop before cuz you can build in most interiors.

It has the option within the framework to scrap the settlement.

I usually put it closer to the top/middle with other settlement mods but I don't believe order matters. Load before any scrap mods if you have them.

I don't mind the intro scene honestly... Plus, I think quick starts causes a bug where vertibirds don't have sound due to skipping the first vertibird spawn.

You can also connect any workbench you find in the open world. It's a staple in my LO... Even though it breaks immersion. It beats the need to travel to settlements frequently. I pair it with the mobile workbench from ECO so I can just travel and camp everywhere.
It also connects with the CAMP from Advanced Needs 76 if you use that mod.
Oh that is handy! And tbh on playthrough numberโฆ. I lost countโฆ I think I can cope with a slight hit to the immersion๐

Claim the workshop first. Then either choose manage workshop from the workbench or from the Holotape if you crafted it (after choosing tools).
Choose settlement layout from the pop up. Then Build/Manage layouts. Then use this layout. Then you can choose from "Yes, build it", "Build it, but skip scrapping" or "Scrap everything here and then build it"

The Sanctuary one is definitely a good layout... But I definitely warn against building in Red Rocket and Abernathy because the framerate drops like no other if all 3 are built in ๐ฌ
It's one of the Triangles of Death in the game.
It'll also include a settler beacon once completely built so you don't have to build one.
Are there different layouts?
Unfortunately, only one per settlement that's included. There's a list of settlements that are included in the description of the mod.
Another note, there's sometimes an issue with assigning settlers to food, but I think it's something on my end as I usually have auto assign on. It's best to manually assign.

It basically makes settlements wireless. I told you, I hate messing with settlements. The easier the better for me.
Though, you would still have to replace the wired versions of powered objects with the wireless ones
But it beats seeing wires everywhere. Sadly, it only includes vanilla settlement objects. You'd still have to wire anything that's mod added.

In settlement build mode, try selecting the gen to pick it up, then press b.
It's an issue with the imported power objects. That's why I ultimately chose to go wireless.

Don't store, just cancel after picking it up.

Ah. I wasn't aware of this bug. I think there's already a "Lookup Failed" mod fix out there, though, I'm not sure if it even applies to this as it's a fix for the Full Dialogue Interface Mod.

Just the enclave. Because I have the og hellfire and when I put the paint on it becomes lookup failed.
That lookup failed mod doesn't work for it because I use it for the dialogue

Question for FO4edit / XEdit people:
I'm basically trying to do bulk deletes of records so that records provided in the masters are missing in the plug in (the mod). It was a bit tedious in the CK so I thought I would try XEdit where it ought to be easier right?
However I don't see any way to do this in XEdit other than by writing (and debugging) a custom script. A web search did not turn up a script anyone had written.
Am I missing something? If I have to manually work on each individual record, CK seems more efficient for this particular task. Admittedly XEdit is better for showing me the references I want to delete. So I may have them opened side by side but do the actual changes in the CK.
I am admittedly hazy on the distinction between Delete, Ignore, Hide, Disable, Remove. But I think what I need here is Delete of the record in the plug in, (not in the masters), after Copying into... the plug in from the master, the records I want to be deleted in the plug in (mod).
Actually 99.9% of SKK mods have zero load order requirements:
As it does not touch anything in the base game, there are no load order requirements or static conflicts.
But, if you know better please do let me know which of my mods have load order needs and why that is.
Quality mod authors never ever DELETE base game objects as that can cause the game to CTD. They are disabled and/or moved to a hidden holding cell.

All I do is disable quest autostarts. Dont touch any content as thats now base game material if the ESL is loaded.

Deleting ANYTHING is (a) bad and (b) unnecessary. I have scripted complete world overhauls without deleting a thing. But, my quality threshold may be different to others.
Well my mods do both. The one controls NG quest starts, similar to yours I guess, but the other one removes all forms from the NG content so people don't wander into it either.

It is a very small time window because mods will be coming out very soon if not already that will depend on the NG content. Though hopefully people will not install a mod that uses that content on top of a mod that expressly removes it? Maybe I'm being too optimistic.

I may try to adapt the existing FO4Edit UDR script to instead Undelete Disable and move to a holding cell (instead of move to Z=30,000). Should not be too hard hopefully.

Global Stash is another great mod from SKK. It can connect all workshop and workbench stashes into one.
ECO is a crafting overhaul/expansion. The mobile workbench is a feature that combines all the workbenches into one package (armor/weapon/chem/cooking) plus it adds junk/ammo/utility work benches as well. It also has a mobile Power Armor Workbench.
These 2 paired is a bit op but I can explore freely without having to travel back and forth to settlements to drop off junk. Also, Global Stash can scrap junk remotely.
Man that seems convient, would break my mods tho? Not sure it's safe to add at this point lol
Global stash is safe to install mid game.
Eco too, unless you're already using another crafting overhaul. Eco also has patches for other mods like Burst-Fire framework and Tactical Reload to make them easier to to apply onto weapons.
Honestly, those mods are probably the reason why I don't really bother with settlements ๐

Yeah, it can be too much. Somebody made an aio package on Xbox for eco and its dlc packages for convenience. The only patch I use is the one for Burst-Fire framework.

Use same quality mobs for body and face, for example lets say you have vanilla body texture with 2k face texture, use 2k body texture as well.

the bundles won't download, but the items in them do. It's just a glitch with the main bundle file not downloading. You have your content.

Try out ECO ... Doesn't necessarily buff the Bos armor directly, but it adds more crafting options to vanilla armor.

Should be, it's just textures. Just do a test run, don't save if you're unsure. I have a test save I use to test mods so I don't run into any issues with installing/unintalling mud game, which is never advised.

I just drag the body and a piece of the dog to sanctuary bridge and scrap it with Raze My Settlement.
Amazing Follower Tweaks also has a remove dead body option if you use the controller to loot for items in a radius.

It is but I haven't really noticed much... I know that it bugs when you try to send a companion home normally in that it won't let you choose which settlement to send, but you can literally do that within the mod's controller. It also conflicts with mods that add extra prompts to npcs like "Quick trade"... But the pros outweigh the cons... I like traveling with multiple companions every once in a while. It has a few other useful features too.

Well, I haven't experienced many bugs in my many runs. I still keep the mod in my LO. Saves mod space for xbox.
I read it's especially buggy for companion mods, since I'm gonna use some companion mods, I decided not to use it.
Well it's kinda of an aio... But then again, I only use vanilla companions, only modding their looks and dialog if if feel the need.
Plus, I can turn any npc into a settler or companion if needed.
I have some really good companion mods with 1200 voiced lines, etc.
To each their own... I'm not one for companion mods. I tend to mod my game to more of a vanilla++ feel.... Nothing too crazy or lore breaking.
I'm between, I don't care too much about breaking lore with mods, but don't like things broke lore too much either.
I'm fine with litle changes and chalange lore with mods, as long they are not too lore breaking.
I did run some modern weapons mods for a bit but they were always too op for my taste. Dak's Attachment Pack has made the vanilla weapons a little bit more bearable.

You'll be fine... Most xbox mods will run fine after next gen as our mods don't require F4SE... There's only been a few mods I know of that don't run well with the update, but mainly ui mods in my experience... Def_ui to be exact.

Which version did you end using?
The newer one is a bit more complicated. You have to build wireless fuse box first (the one with energy only unless you want to use one of the cheat ones). Then you have to build a wireless version of the powered object you want to use. You should be able to place it anywhere in the settlement without the need for wires (obviously ๐
)
The pip pad was definitely fun to use but I missed using pipboy skins. I'm always running the Silver Shroud skin from the CC.

I felt the same way. The only one you really need is the one that only outputs 100 electricity.
If you haven't hard saved yet, you can use the older version. I know I said it was a buggy one, but I spoke with someone today that was still using it and they said they haven't had any major problems at all.

@queen crescent So I tested Diamond City Factory and it was working fine for me. The gal took my 23000 caps, got the key and was able to access the factory. Looks pretty cool, definitely bigger than vanilla home plate.
I'm not sure why it didn't work for you. Maybe you were running another mod that edits Home plate? That's the only thing I can think of that would conflict with this mod. ๐ค

It overhauls Home plate in DC into a factory with bigger space. I believe you can get supplies from your other settlements as well via a special object you build.

There's no need to be rude to people who post mods or load order guides. Are you sure that isn't a load order reconciliation patch uploaded out of courtesy? Or is a load order guide wherein you download the mods on the list and follow the instructions in the description and be done with everything after you've downloaded and followed instructions.
That's a settlement blueprint mod my friend, maybe you think different, but needing 54 mostly hard plugin mods just for settlement blueprint mod is wild in my opinion.
OH. Blueprint. Yeah. That explains it. I once had all settlement mods downloaded (there weren't so many back then) and did a blueprint. Very cool settlement.
I mean come on, 10? 20? Heck maybe 30, even 30 is too much, I wouldn't install at all and sacrifice 30 hard plugin slot for it. But 54? That's wild ๐
If you're going to be doing blueprints, you're going to have a large load order with settlement mods. Building is very addictive and every settlement mod adds something new to play with.

That's okay, you maybe can have 80 settlement mod you like if you are into that, but needing 54 just for one mod is nah.
And let me tell you, there are mods with only 10+ mods looking far better, using more mods don't make it better, it makes no sense even in my opinion, if you want people install your mod bp, you should be carefull with how many mod you use, because even without plugin cap it's annoying to need download 54 other mod just for one bp.
But it isn't just for one. There's 30 workshops. You'd be building the others up and have that one already prebuilt.

Kind of is, most mods don't use same workshop mods aside from very well-known ones getting used like homemaker.

How do I share stash with global stash
You can activate it on the workbench. If you have workshop framework active, you'll have to craft the Holotape and turn off the alternate activation as it will overwrite the global stash activation menu.
You can also control it from the global stash Holotape if you're in a settlement.
You can also set up auto transfer from in the settings of the global stash Holotape.
I suggest reading all the options that are in the global stash Holotape. I'd screenshot for you but I'm in the middle of gameplay right now.

Hey there. Does anyone have information about Max Height Data encoding, or whether CK tries to allocate memory for the whole worldspace at once when you regenerate it?
Context: I'm trying to fix vertibirds clipping through some added trees by making them fly higher over them. Single cells works fine, but if I try it for the whole world it crashes halfway there (I have the funny feeling ck tries to load every cell first, so it runs out of memory). Now a workaround would be using fo4edit directly, however MHDT is encoded in lengthy hexadecimal numbers (2056 digits in pairs, but I suppose they're insignificant after the first four pairs). And my crazy idea was to reverse engineer the mhdt and derive it from objects' bounds. Or the lazy way would be to just copy whatever value looks larger in a sub-block to all others. Or is there any way to generate max height only for a subset of the world?

Hey I this might be a obviously stupid question but Iโm new to pc gaming and modding, if I downgrade the fallout update to the version prior to the new update that broke everything will all the old mods work again? Even if the mod has been upgraded to accommodate the new 2024 update? In simpler words will newer updated mods still work for the old fallout version?

- Set "Workshop Auto Transfer" to On
- Set "Stash Auto Consolidate" to On
- Set "Workshop Resource Production" to Linked
- Set "Stash Link Standalone Workbenches" to On
- Set "Workshop Activate Menu" to On
- Set "Workbench Activate Menu" to On
When you use an unlinked workbench for the first time, it'll kick you out as it will establish a link to the Global Stash. You should be able to use the bench if activated again.
Alternatively, you can manually link the unlinked workbench by pressing [Y] in front of the bench to access the "Stash Menu", then choose "Link to Global Stash". You'll be able to access the Global Stash from the Stash Menu as well.
Hi, I want to upload a mod for ps4, the .esp is empty, but it has Main.ba2 file, i can attach it for PC version, but there is no way to do the same with ps4, any one has a solution?
We do get amazing mods, we're just limited by our console's limitations. But there are tons of great mods created by awesome authors or ported by some awesome people. Remember, they took the time to make FO4 modding worthwhile on Xbox. Show some love to the amazing mods and authors/porters. โค๏ธ
