Sim Settlements 2 is a no-go for now, I even tried deleting reserved storage and it did the same thing when I got to SS2

Workshops received an update but the CK didn't get updated scripts so it'll be a bit before mods that modify base game scripting will get updated. F4SE needs these to update as well.

Downloading is the issue atm. For some people it's difficult and others is fine. It's best to wait a bit. There were millions of people flocking to all Fallout games because of the show and the servers were definitely overloaded earlier.

Power grid can still be corrupted (as can your save file) if you remove a settlement mod in the middle of your game and continue on the same save. The engine behavior with PRIDs should not have changed at all. That's how the engine works.

if its repeatable and only a select place then its a corrupt file, reinstall the game (steams file check wont work most likely but you can try)

Ah. Power grid corruption is a regular thing with other mods if you uninstall and bork the PRIDs for the grid. That's what i thought you were talking about.

If you need updates for F4SE, you'll have to wait. F4SE is getting updated soon and then the other mods that need it will follow if they're maintained. If you're on Xbox, they should be functioning fine if the in game manager sync's properly with the website. If the website doesn't sync and you get an empty list, report the issue to Bethesda so they have more information.

They did. Fallout cascadia prepped by moving away from f4se b/c they knew it'd break with the update. The update was announced ages ago, but nothing was given to the modders to work from... so yeah.

If you haven't updated yet, set updates on steam to "only update on game launch". You can launch from script extender and steam wont recognize it as launching your game and try to update. That way when you enter steam it wont update automatically also

i think on f4 the mods are on the server side instead of installed to the console so when they moved the servers they deleated them,they also could still have the mods they just didnt transfer them yet,unreleased mods did transfer over

Yes that was the only reason I EVER heard and nothing about performance issues or the like. I always nuked my load order on a new playthrough as I'm sure a lot of us do. This update just did what they said was THE issue about increasing mod space so give us the space!

if you're on xbox the negative mod number is the about of bytes subtracted from the 2GB reserve space. also, the 150 mod limit is still in place. i had been on this morning and said that it was gone, but once i got 125 mods downloaded the limit showed up again. i had such hopes

It seemed like a clever marketing decision to delay NG release until Fallout TV peaked interest in the game. That would have been smart if NG was not borked. In hindsight they should have released NG early, before Fallout TV, to get the bugs out of it first.

No, they should just not update the game to begin with. This could’ve always been added as a free and optional DLC add-on to not screw with people’s mods and save files. In general 9 year old games don’t need to be updated, if anything they can make a remastered version but leave the legacy version alone at this point.

Eh, I think this update was needed, especially on console. It's literally day 1, a lot of the major griping about it in the of channels will likely be dealt with in a following patch. As for modding, the arguement 'theres no reason to update, the modders will fix it' is the reason projects die. Actual simp mentality. Unfortunately, due to the age of the game, lots of modders will likely have moved to other projects by now, and many likely wont see any support for this, and thats unfortunate, but prisoners absolutely right. This stuffs been common for 25+ years.

Yes I didn't have to reinstall anything (except all the DLC). But I am on PS4 which means I don't use F4SE (Script Extender).

I suspect most of the problems people are seeing (except timeouts from the Beth servers) are due to F4SE dependencies. This happens on every update. It is the top sticky post on the FO4 Steam forum. You just have to wait until the F4SE team (not part of Bethesda) releases an update. Usually they get an update out in a few days.

There are like tens of thousands of mods available for PS via the built in mod manager. Sony prohibits altering scripts or 3D models. This is to prevent "adult" mods, although it's total overkill for that purpose.

Now that all our mods have been deleted, including those no longer available, can we get a mod space increase on Xbox please? For years the reason given as to why it couldn’t be increased is that it would require deleting everyone’s current mod lists, including those no longer available. Since this has now happened anyway, that space increase would make a bitter pill slightly easier to swallow.
The green mod and a couple of workshop mods that are lost now were central to my load order.

"operation can't be completed" is a transient error due to Bethesda server load, which is extremely high at the moment. Retry later, preferably at a less busy time. Bigger mods will be more likely to fail to download. Try starting with the small mods.

Learned a long time ago not to scrum save. Some mods at the beginning of modding and still some by noobie mod authors produce runtime errors that grow the save over whatever cloud limit MS has imposed upon us

Yes that's the only advantage of CC. They are QAd to some extent but not guaranteed to be bug free. Unless this bug was fixed in NG update, CC also has an almost inevitable tendenxy to develop the 0KB bug, which is often game-ending and/or requires a full reinstall.

no im not getting that warning the game is saying i installed the army paint but i can load the game without that message popping up like i said its not showing up in game and there is no .esl file i see only main file and the texture file and thats it everything else has been working fine for me plus i usually run my game with no cc item and if did have any cc items installed that i dont want i would the delete the .esl file and everything would be ok and i could reinstall it whenever i wanted but im confused about what the heck happened btw its only the army armor paint that is having this weird bug

Probably it's going to depend on the in game mods. Disable all mods just as a test and see if the issue is repeatable or not.

It’s an Xbox audio bug, I think you have to like go to your settings and change it to stereo uncompressed or somethin

i went into the cc menu and i was looking the items that in there when i noticed the army armor paint was set to owned not download so i went ingame to check my combat armor leather armor and what not its not showing up so i went to check the files and noticed that the .esl file was not there i've tried verifying game cache and nothing happened s o im going wait to see if bethesda do something to fix some of this before resorting to a uninstall and reinstall of fallout 4

UFO4P is relatively small as mods go so it should be OK to download if you keep trying even with the very busy server activity at the moment.

Well Owned in the CC menu does not necessarily imply that the ESL is downloaded, especially as you say you have deleted CC ESLs in the past. Only if you Download would the ESL be there for sure (until you delete it again). So what you are seeing is consistent with having bought that CC but then deleted its ESL at some point.

Hey guys the cbbe curvy mod for xbox works now for all of yall who hade dummy thicc charecters before the update. Also for those who used ”langleys workshop HD” mod it does work now with a few exceptions to certain buildings in downtown boston. Alot of mods for the xbox that focuses on light etc are not as noticable. Clarity and ”lightweight lightning” works just fine tho. Most of yall seem really experienced with mods but if there is anyone here who needs to rethink their load orders for the xbox then these are the ones i have used that now work. Disregard the cbbe as a tip I just thought it would be good to know.

Definitely would just try to Download again in the CC menu and really be wary of doing a full reinstall as it might lose your saves or otherwise make things worse. Hold tight at least until BGS support advise you to reinstall.

ive tried to redownload the cc item but it wont let me and plus when i deleted the .esl file for the army paint before i checked the cc page the it and it said i could redownload it again when i want to but now i cant

Weird, bud. I’ve had the same issue and changing my hdmi audio to stereo uncompressed and then rebooted my Xbox fixed my issue.

Well as this is "forced CC" that you can't opt out of even with a full reinstall, BGS really better have done good QA and own any bugs that come up.
