Bethesda seems to have fixed most of the issues on Xbox, even before anniversary addition I would crash every minute but now? I have 100+ mods and the game still runs like butter, it has been ever since they updated the game like 3 times after the backlash they received from anniversary edition. no problem. and you can use Blitz without Stealth, but over time, you'll just find it's way easier due to the multiplicative Sneak Attack damage being higher in melee, so i won't press the issue

(you mentioned Nerd Rage. actually, due to how VATS works with these perks, VATS with Blitz and a Strength Perk, Rooted, is probably the best defense. it's very much "best defense is a good offense")

then word to the wise for something different, then: if you have the Next Gen update, they added a whole lot of explosive weapons, like the Grenade Launcher and Tesla Cannon, to the Fallout 4 base game

i got a character builder up, too. the key components are just down the Strength and Agility lines

Strength: Iron Fist (unarmed) and/or Big Leagues (melee), then Rooted if you can at Strength 9

Agility: Sneak, Ninja, and Blitz

you're a Fallout veteran, so i'll focus on Rooted and Blitz as they're Fallout 4

Blitz is a VATS Perk, let's you rush an opponent in VATS into Melee. so immediately you're taking less shots as you basically teleport into his face from around shotgun range. but there's more

not sure if you ever noticed in Fallout 4, but VATS actually gives you like a shield of damage resistance. like a Mutant Suicider is about to bomb you, you're in VATS, you'll get hurt a lot less. Blitz puts you in that mode

now Rooted (that Strength 9 Perk) also gives you damage resistance while you're not moving. when the VATS animation is playing, it counts as not moving. that layer of protection stacks

so you're Blitzing to get into melee in VATS, which gives DR, then Rooted gives you more DR

then you have freedom with the rest of your build. basically those Perks are like your Deathstar in 40k terms

but i think you get my shorthand, like a Fallout 4 build is you really just need certain key Perks, ya?

also...apologies, i snuck in the Stealth stuff (Sneak, Ninja) there. because it's like Perks along the way of Blitz. take those out if you like. you can do just Melee Weapon Perk + Rooted + Blitz if you like, it's very cool, you see all sorts of custom melee animations like Suplexes and stuff

Right now I getting Magnum opus modlist. It's my first time getting as much mods in the game. I saw Sim Settlements 2 in here which is nice and bad at the same time. The mod runs like cr - ap if you get a bunch of stuff

I just need two important things in mods : The ability to collect as much junk as I want and not be unable to move/travel and the ability to build settlements a lot

If you turned sanctuary, Abernathy and red rocket into big settlements that causes a known issue called the triangle of death because there's way too many assets for the game to handle

I think far harbor can be done at any time since I've done it lately late game. Nuka word is best a high levels but the minimum is 30 or 35. Id argue doing it at 50 personally.

Im on a modded save and for some reason whenever I scrap something I place down in the Pryderen (because I have place everywhere and one other I forgot the name of that allows me to build at any location.) it keeps crashing me. Now previously in my save I wasn't getting crashes. I'm trying to improve and build up the BOS Faction even more with a more functional base. And I just keep crashing... I don't know why it just keeps happening. Is there any crash logs I can send so folks can figure out what the hell's wrong? Do you have some of the old creations? Neon flats and Nior penthouse might be small enough for you, but some people don't like clean aesthetic. They also aren't very easily accessible.
As far as vanilla settlements, tenpines bluff, taffington boathouse and oberland station are pretty small border size. Tenpines forces you to stay under three stories tall.

I used to run 150 mod full xbox LO with no problem. Then the next gen update came out and killed that. Then I started a base game non modded playthrough and the anniversary edition bugged. That. I just wish they would fix these issue then never touch the game again.

Worst part is im more an elder scrolls fan. Here in 10 months skyrim will be 15 so they'll probably find some way to wreck it all again too. For the mods its just disheartening. To point where I dont even bother playing these games anymore. Anytime i do im reminded that its worse than it was 3 years ago.

Yes. GOG.com has been around for 18 years and was started by CD Projekt Red (Witcher & Cyberpunk 2077). GOG is known for being DRM-free (with rare exceptions forced by publishers), and for making old games work properly on current versions of Windows. Steam version of Fallout 3 has problems for many people, the GOG version is just install, run, play no problem. The GOG version of FO4 is from before the Anniversary Edition -- you don't get the Creations bundle but NexusMods.com mods work and Fallout London is a one-click install

Yes, Vortex works great with GOG. Just make sure not to install any mod that says it requires the Annie Ed for some reason. Also, Fallout London is like New Vegas was for FO3, it has a whole new story, characters, maps, clothing, gear, monsters, food, music.

Just FYI sites like this are grey market "key resellers" - they get keys from random sources (Humble Bundle bundles, review keys, video-card pack in keys, possibly breaking into people's homes to loot their key stash...)

Yes, probably through an ad network like Google ads not something NexusMods chose themselves. The keys often work fine, but review and bundle keys pay the game company little or nothing. You might shrug for BGS/Microsoft, but for (little indie gane) buying a key from resellers does hurt them.

Besides, it's nearly always some obscure DLL mod that hasn't been updated in 5 years anyway.

By things I meant the thousands of FO4 mods on NexusMods. Yes, BGS is not obligated to make mods work, but mods not working breaks playing with mods, and if you are in the middle of a game the broken mods can mean your saves are all now unplayable.

Many modders have moved on to other games after 10 years, so "hasn't been updated in 5 years" is very common.

Again, it's not thousands of mods. It's a handful of them, and pretty much all of them are DLL mods.

Someone would have to have gone a good deal out of their way to make a non-F4SE mod that breaks completely on game updates. That's just not how BGS mods work.

I'm not a modder, but aren't there many F4SE mods that were created before the address library indirect layer was added? I just know that last year Steam started enforcing auto-updates, FO4 updated, my saves broke. Switching to GOG's "classic" version of FO4 fixed it and I could keep playing. Maybe I had one of those "handful" of mods you mention.

There are some old ones that never migrated to using Address Library, but they'd be VERY old by now and certainly older than the 163 update everyone is always on about.

Certain radio mods might be broken actually from that one radio holotape that went unreadable after playing it for ten years, but that might just be a small problem in the grand scheme of things.

well so we do have a upload size limit on xbox, it used to be 1gb max per upload, if its gonna be the same as starfield i think starfield has 2gb upload limit per mod, anyways that would mean chopping up mods and stuff and if the 256 BA2 limit is right then you need to bundle stuff, merging esp's(the thing the game reads which has like crafting recipes andso) can be uhm buggy sometimes atleast from what i know. plus you would need permissions for every mod etc.

Hey so I know using the console command to toggle collision and enable noclip messed with AI pathfinding. So is there a way to stop ai's from thinking or just freeze the NPC's so I can use toggle collision to fly? I'm trying to use a mod that allows me to place down a workbench and build anywhere (except for established workshops. Which it for some reason declares the outside of the Pryderen to be a workshop despite not having any ability to build on the deck. Yet for some reason the interior cells work just fine. Anyways is there a way to freeze all NPC AI so that I may fly and try and find a place to place it so I can build a more functional BOS Prydren?
