So this is just my view Xamthi, but with how strict Sony are on their rules for player made content and all of that, I wouldn't be surprised if they are somewhat behind the delays here. They kind of give a money-first vibe that's worse than most competitors, and lately their refusal to even consider the PC market is further proof to that because they want people on their platform on their terms. I think if Sony didn't have to be consulted, the 100gb update may have launched with the anniversary edition, but it's also likely that it might just be a difficult thing to implement into 10 year old code at this point.

If you want the actual answer, it’s a PS4 and Xbox One issue only. The issue occurs because when a game saves, those consoles make a copy of that save in case of a “corruption”. The issue is, this dual-copy would increase the chance of corruption, causing crashes in random locations. Downtown, Far Harbor, Nuka World, Glowing Sea. Etc. it’s not a Bethesda issue. It’s an Xbox One and PS4 issue. The hardware was terrible.

If you want the game to run better, disable autosave and only manually save. Periodically do a “save purge” which is deleting all of your older, unused saves.

most of the time "restore license" fixes PSN license issues, but that I only when you can't launch the game and your console is having an issue with the license, whereas here it's most likely an issue with the game engine and the PSN/console check.

If your Windows PC has any dedicated graphics card from the last 5 years that's probably good enough for FO4 on PC. Get the GOG.com version and you have the classic pre-AE version that works now.

Barely any updates to an game that lets be real I thought they done forgot about in favor of their newer but I guess the TV show and their newest one in the works is takin' too much money from the folks to get to work on a FO5 so in that way we can have ourselves a new game to look at. That or more 76 content which lets be real here a sec n' they should consider addin' some more FO4 content to. If not that then perhaps the vice versa with 76 content comin' to 4. They both use bout the same engine right? If we fans can't port the asset from our legally owned copies then I don't understand why Bethesda won't. Can't tell me that playin' around with a collection of the build able furnitures, building types an' so forth won't be fun to use. And hell they'd make bank probably because with all due respect to those whom made the game. FO4 is a more stable game and is far less demanding then 76. Cut the requirements a bit for 76 to be on par with 4 and we'd be finer than a wine on the top shelf.

There are plenty o' furnitures that can work in general far past those of local areas like the garahan mining Co and such like the laser rifle ads by general atomics, the shelter sign-ups, the one about the silencers and ammo. Those all are simple lil posters that while sure maybe the ammo ain't in the game, the posters would still be nice in any gun store, armory or city built in the wastes. Plus aint like we can't get the structure building parts as we already got the warehouse and barn building pallets that are from 76. Sure they are from before Appalachia's debut but that is just to prove that it could be done. But all we can really do is hope, prey and give our money to those whom provided us the very apocalypse we call our second homes.

I'm half joking, but even in FO3 I hoarded a mountain of guns and armor for repair parts, so almost 18 years of (gather loot, fast travel back to home to drop it off) (fast travel back). I don't know if I could play survival without some kind of "loot teleporter" mod [ or unlimited carry weight mod ]. Also, don't you need to ignore settlements since you'll never walk to them in time to defend them?

I travel to settlements here and there… it’s annoying when one of them gets attacked bc I could be at the other side of the commonwealth,.. but I find settlements more useful and makes me do stuff that I actually never really consider in a normal play through like setting up supply lines and all that which I would never do in a normal play through

I also like the challenge that it gives me to plan my journey and all that or to avoid location and honestly makes the glowing sea more scary to travel on for the main quest… never know when a rad scorpion or a deathclaw can ruin your mood when it takes you back to your sleeping spot… I do add mods to make saving more manageable like tents that I can throw down

They’re still useful in survival, and as long as you have proper defenses set up, you can easily cheat the system. The way it works is, the more defenses you have, the less likely a settlement is to be raided. And if the system decides that the settlement will be raided, it’s a 50/50 (no matter your defense level) if it’s a successful raid or a failed raid. In order to maximize chances of success, I usually just build a lot of turrets. That lowers the risk. Then I focus on armoring the settlers to decrease the chances of them dying. So if a raid does succeed, it’s mostly crops or generators that are destroyed.

You asked for a "mod". Using mods typically disable achievements. On pc, there are workarounds and acheivment enablers. On console, if you wish to keep achievements enabled, the key term you should be asking for is a "Creation" which are achievement friendly. But I can tell you now, there is no such creation. But maybe someday.

After a lot of bugs.. I fixed the issue. Mostly. The mods were the problem but so far ive got sim settlements 2 to work properly anyway by launching the game directly using the exe file. Fixed graphical bugs and let me load into diamond city with the mods installed.

Hopefully fallout 4 can return to how it was and we dont have to worry about all these issues with mods..

By default, vanilla game, settlers cannot be killed unless they are hit by your gunfire or splash damage. Even missile turrets do not harm them.

The remasters are going to suck and I’ll tell you why. Slapping unreal on top prevents modders from doing mesh and texture swaps. That’s why the oblivion remaster has basically been abandoned by the modding community.
