My biggest gripe is that it feels like the faction quest lines end right when they get the most enjoyable, but that could just be a me problem. All that said, I'm not a fan of exclusives. I think every game should be up for everyone to enjoy. More folks who get to play games and have fun means more folks to talk about with.

The thing that makes bethesda games good is not writing or graphics, it's exploration, and they screwed up the exploration in starfield. Mix that with having to spend a third of your time in your inventory mixed with some horribly grindy elements and you've got a perfect recipe for people not having a good time

Again, Starfield has its flaws but they tried and to me that speaks volumes. Better to have tried and failed than never try at all. Besides, they can only only go up from here. Improve from here.
The execution just wasn't on the money. I may be naive or dumb but I'm holding out hope they will continue to support it to do enough to address the weak points.

So whats everyones best punishment for unwated settlers

Me i use a combination of public humiliation and use of machines to do my bidding

In fact i was recently reading tales of jerktown trader and i found that if you fake fears such as faking helping settlements than settlement productivity goes up.

Thats not all i also found that if you slowly take some under the table deals with the insitute u can actually slowly replace each of your settlers with synths to become even more effective and productive.

As the insitute says a happy synth is a better human

God i love this community so many wonderful insights and amazing advice to help fill my fallout 4 experience full of wonder.

On the topic of freudian philosophy i came to the conclusion that if you purposely deny your settlers access to food and water than their productivity goes down. So instead ive been slowly filling their water with the element 92 of course legal under the context of 1956 US Law. This helped create that glow in all my settlements that aided in the process of unifying togeather.

This freaking update. No mods xbox x, yet I'm getting immediate crashes now at far harbor. I noticed things were odd when the ghouls at cliffs edge could not be harmed even by my biggest weapons. Then I went into vault 118 and got crap frame rate. I tried loading a save before entering vault 118 and take two steps and immediately crashes.

Does anyone else remember Project Pride from like six or seven years ago? I feel like I'm having a feaver dream half the time, because I remember it so vividly but I can't find a single mention of it anymore. It was the mod that was going to be a kind of foundational QoL platform to start with basic map cleaning and fixes, then do modules over time to integrate bigger mods like the settlement mods and faction mods to let them begin their real goal of making the Lyons Pride expansion they wanted.

Nah, this was much older than those things, it was something that started as a concept to include a whole expansion where Sarah Lyons came back and chased after the brotherhood when she was "lost" in battle. But had to go the long way around, kind of a softer "outcasts" route.

but the project head ran into so many things that irked them about the main world map that they decided to work on that first. Roads that went nowhere, roads with guardrails that cut off other roads, highways that made no sense, towns in the wrong location, environments being just slightly off. Small things like that. Then they began to fill in the world with some more environmental storytelling in places, or refining the parts which clearly had more to tell, usually by using bits from other creators where they could.

Least that's what I remember with how they started, they ultimately wanted to make a foundational version of the game so they could make the version of Sarah Lyons return they wanted. But I don't remember where I saw it, and now it's making me itch.

I do remember they had an image of a tank they "fixed up", put the Lyons logo on it, and had some story about it being the main workhorse pulling the caravan. I wanted to see so much more.

There are some random encounters in this game that will never make sense. Just ran into a group of raiders demanding a toll to cross a bridge. Standing next to the raiders was a BoS Knight in full power armor. After refusing to pay, the knight did nothing to help me, even though I'm allied with the BoS and in a full set of BoS power armor.

gotta say though, looking at project Valkyrie, it's pretty damn cool. But I think it's far from the original idea that the pride modder was going for, In that one lyons was basically just lost and forced to recover slowly with the few members she had, and couldn't get back the normal way. It was just her and three others who met with a caravan and they spent years traveling and chasing any clues they could.

it wasn't fully fleshed out back then, but I'd have loved to see it.

OMG I forgot how much I hated General a settlement needs your help. Hey I know since I'm the general , maybe you should conscript a few people from out settlements into a militia and go take care of the problem yourself. Maybe requisition some supplies for all the markets I've built and put some defenses up in these settlements as obviously the concrete walls I've fortified these places with and the missle and laser turrets I've put in are defective and frankly if a guys been kidnapped I want to know how a gang got past all my defences without getting blown to shreds as it couldn't even be the guy doing a supply run as I use robots. As seriously it's been months that you've been sanctury hills and apart from a guy hitting his hammer on the same wall you guys haven't even been able to patch up one house.

There used to be a free mod on steam that uased to gradually improve sanctuary hills over time on steam but stuffed up in conflicts with creation club mods. As for the others you can do minimal things with preston as if you want to complete the game with that faction find the mods that change preston used to stuff up the game and with how unstable this current version is could see this would make it impossible to finish the game as this faction.

They changed how the quest work, you need to go find a note usually to start the quests

Can find where to find them under the installed tab unless they're not there then that's a u problem 🫡

Like the Classic Laser pistol is a good pick. It looks nice and all. But then u get something like “here’s a classic melee pack” which is just most of fallout 3’s weapons but dont really serve a unique function

They do updates on Tuesday’s choom; so if were getting that sooner than later, it’s either gonna be next Tuesday, or we’ll have to wait until the 16th

Hate to say it, but since they’re giving us no concrete ETA beyond first half of December, we either gotta wait until the 9th or the 16th, that’s what we got to go off of for now

Wish we didn’t have to extrapolate that like a noir detective piecing together clues, but it is what it is

Oh a lot of the Discord chats are the same... Disney Dreamlight Valley discord, for example, is full of detective clues and no answers. Every trailer they're like "oh, I saw this item in the background, is that a hint towards this character coming?!" It's bonkers lol

No shade on the mods, it’s not like they know anymore than we do- and if they do, they can’t tell us without getting the go ahead from top brass

They said they’ll release information about it prior to release. It’s day 3 of December. We just come off of a holiday weekend.

If we go by the November update, we may be able to expect information / patch notes to release Thursday or Friday with the patch the following Tuesday.

However none of us know.
