You can extract the files from the archives and run the creation stuff loose on the pre-ng patch or use i think it was BASS to allow pre-ng update to use the new archive format.

For the most part the creations stuff didn't need a game update to work

I downloaded a mod that fixed it on my character. I haven't been to vault 81 in ages so no idea what I'll find if I eventually make it there. Just a shame we have to still rely on mods to fix things that our esteemed overlords should have fixed years ago. I also enjoy that it still rains on me and I get wet when I'm inside a house. 🙂

I do like that to avoid going feral I have to randomly take drugs. I rarely used any of the chems in my previous playthroughs, so I'm really getting the Cooper Howard "a whole bucket of drugs" feeling 🙂

I also got kicked out of Diamond City once because apparently my disguise failed when I got a haircut. I couldn't change my skin or hair in the mirror when I first became a ghoul because the looks menu kept hanging in an infinite spinning wheel loop and wouldn't let me exit the looks menu.

Horses would be cool unfortunately unless they wanna rule of cool it, it wouldn't make a ton of sense. Horses require a lot of food a a pretty decent amount of specialized training (especially in areas where guns are being fired so they don't panic.)

Not so sure about that. There is a mod on Nexus (I won't say the name for reasons) that adds dozens of radio stations with classic music from various eras and artists and in numerous styles. It would be one of my favorite mods if the decor part didn't make scrolling through the settlement menus a nightmare.

No I used strictly humans. I took over the castle without Preston, built a Pirate Ship on the water, and surrounded teh entire castle with broadsider turrets hidden inside the static cannons. All the settlers were armed with swords, flintlocks and muskets and in time period appropriate costumes. No electric lights, all candlelit.

Just got the Ghoulification Banner Creation and very excited to try it! 🤩

I’m gonna theme my character around thinking they’re able to be one with Atom and become a Zealot of the Children of Atom, but then she gets turned to a ghoul instead when exposed to a heavy amount of radiation, they become rebellious and twisted, turning the entire commonwealth into a playhouse for the Nuka Raiders and annihilating the BOS and RR with the Institute. I’m going with the cannon female, Nora, and making her obsession over her son determine her choices in the storyline.

I use Nate for a more cannon-type Minutemen approach, keeping all vanilla factions (besides the Institute) alive, meanwhile Nora is more the antagonist in her respective timeline

I believe you need to discover the location they’re posted at before you kill anyone maybe? Something along the lines of that

If you haven’t started yet, do Nuka World before even entering the Museum of Freedom

If you finish the DLC then kill off the Nuka Raider settlements before meeting Preston you’ll be all good

Yes you will miss out on a few things as quest rewards however what you can do is start the Nuka world questline and do not leave Nuka world do the complete questline then when they want you to start claiming the Commonwealth kill all the raiders and free the people then you can be guilt free have the items and never anger Preston

Install the game without installing the dlc at the same time, just install the game, after it's completed, install each dlc one at a time in order they were released... Make sure everything is ps4 or PS5 version, you get PS5 version of game and dlcs since the next gen update.

Can someone help me? I'm on Steam, and I've tried every possible way to activate the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, but nothing works. When I open it, it tells me to download it, and after a while, it says it's ready, but it doesn't activate the add-on. I go to the Creation Club, and I still only see about three mods that I had long before the update. The Anniversary Edition content appears, but I have to buy each item individually. What can I do? I've been trying to fix this for several days, and nothing has worked.

A lot of people are- would’ve been better if we had some kind of public test server so Bethesda can have volunteers play test updates before they go live, but this is the reality of our situation; so we just gotta hunker down, and hope that the update early next week fixed it

If it doesn’t, then we send in a support ticket to get their attention, help them address the problem- and give em steps to fix it, because this can’t be allowed to keep happening- I know the Creation Engine in the words of Dagoth Ur is held together by duct tape and Todd Howard’s hopes and dreams; but at this point I strongly advise for having a test server created to workshop these new updates before they drop, so that we can help iron out some of the scuff before it goes final

Call it Fallout 4 Experimental, or Skyrim Experimental, and have it listed as a separate item on both Sony and Microsoft’s stores, like how Arma and Battlefield had theirs

Last I checked, the reason mods disable achievements, is because they can make the game easier, and make it so you can get achievements faster…so how does that translate to creations that actively give you better equipment, spawn in items that rake in more caps, increase spawn rates, randomize dungeons, and basically just overturn achievement hunting as a whole

That we make a case for it to be financially advantageous for them to do so- after all; it’ll build more rapport and bring a lot more fans in if they know Bethesda’s taking strides to make sure updates for the Creation Engine are running smoothly thanks to being dry ran from a test server

Which means more money in Bethesda and Microsoft’s pockets- and that means everybody wins

We get updates that run smoothly, as well as mods that can safely remain stable as a result; and in return Bethesda and Microsoft get increased profit from bringing in new customers now that they’ve heard Bethesda’s on the hypothetical upswing

I did email Hobgoblin Studios with a suggestion….Like, what if they made a separate Creation that was JUST the armors and the weapon? If they wanted to go the extra mile, maybe add the player home too. Kinda like what the creators of the ID bundle did with making the Doom armor a separate creation

It's not just the voice acting that holds it up. The armorset and the weapon are all custom. The doom armor and the bfg were always separate items in the creation club, but it doesn't matter because creation club bypasses the sony restrictions of third party content because it was baked into the game like a DLC would be.

Still external assets I’m afraid, now if was using ingame assets that might be different, but it’s using ones created from the ground up for that VC, and Sony is REALLY strict about that at present

But the good news is, they’re working on that- Bohemia was able to sway Sony into letting Reforger players on Sony play with Xbox and PC on modded servers, so if they can do it, Bethesda can too

On the bright side, if talks go well, you’ll be able to have the same mod support as Xbox does

It’d be cool if you had a questline dedicated to gathering the Unstoppables together in their various Wasteland iterations- including the Black Devil who hung up his armor and went back to civilian life after deserting the Enclave

Having them come to the aid of the Minutemen as some freakishly OP Settlers once you recruit them, or the ability to take them with you as companions would be an excellent expansion of the lore if you wanted to keep RPing as the Shroud

There’s a lot of ideas I got for just this alone, but in truth even if we just got a default option to speak as the Shroud while wearing the outfit, I wouldn’t be too mad

Knock on wood though, with how finnicky the Creation Engine is, there’s bound to be bugs that pop up from the ones Bethesda squashes

I just hope the bugs that come from either update are easily manageable, because this recent update bricked DLC hard

FOLON was written against the old version of FO4 before next-gen, so now 2 versions back. On PC you need to downgrade to that version. They've said there were too many changes under the hood so it would be too much work to get it to work on newer versions. So, it's not impossibe but it's also not likely. Which is a shame because FOLON is very good.

Opinion: BGS should make Fallout London official and pay the team to make it work on the latest FO4 for PC and Xbox. And PS5 if Sony ever allows adding assets and increased mod space.

The quests are short ngl and you are right about it being mostly skins cuz i think a good amount is mostly power armor skins, gun skins, pipboy skins, and armor skins. But it does also have player homes plus the 9 new creations arent bad. Personally for me id say 20$ isnt a lot and its a nice deal for the amount of stuff you get.

I mostly bought the upgrade for the new creations and to play catch-up on odds and ends like the skins and settlement items, they added a few that had never been released like the Shi and Air Force paint jobs. I hot rod my PAs since I prefer that gameplay style so having different paint jobs is pretty nice, try pairing the Chrome paint with Tesla PA and purple lamps with an X-01 helmet, it looks spectacular.

Yo wait let me cook, a DLC for FO4, it sends you to Australia, it has mutated animals, like kangaroo where they’re now a four legged creature like a cat, and they still leap, as in they’re basically the deathclaw equivalent, wallabies are like smaller kangaroos, but since they’re timid creatures, they’ll normally run away, and they’re smaller then the player, and anteaters are a pure horror beyond comprehension (there’s only 1 of these, and it’d be like some sort of big bad boss I guess.) there’s also spiders who will be the equivalent of those like weird crab things in far harbour, and then the Tasmanian devils are like radroaches, but they move wayyy faster and inflict bleeding and can give diseases if the player is on a game mode with diseases. But doctors would be easier to find because of free healthcare, and there’s multiple settlements, and these settlements WILL throw hands if any creature comes near. Chat am I actually cooking? Please say I am yo

I think one should get the bundle for various gameplay options it adds, but those looking primarily for expanded questing are best served waiting for a sale. It's like the Oblivion plugins on steroids, but the storytelling being relegated to the written word prevents it from rising above that. FWIW, them forcing you to actually find the new quests in the game world now instead of them automatically being added to your quest log makes the Commonwealth feel like it has a bit more depth to it. The biggest winners will be PS and Switch 2 users with reduced access to modding, of course.

The twist ending is that youre just in the wilderness and Australia is the same before n after the nukes

The wild twist is that there’s a Minutemen equivalent because at some point in Australian history, the Australians fought off Japanese soldiers during ww2 with equipment that wasn’t as good as any other countries.

And at some point if you’re the Minutemen general you can send the Minutemen to help some settlements in Australia and when you do you can control a major settlement (but in the DLC.)

Also there will be unique weapons because Australia has a no gun law, but the war happened who cares right? So they just made guns themselves, some of which being better then some commonwealth weapons also there’ll be a companion who WILL give you animal skin every in game 24 hours, this doesn’t use and dialog btw, he just like reverse pickpockets it into your pockets.

If they give us Tale Of A Beast Hunter but NOT bounty Hunter I think WE WILL be sad because like dude the bounty stuff is so tuffff and the bounty system will make the game so much more enjoyable because I hate being able to blow someone’s brain out with a 6 crank 25% more damage and limb damage focussed laser musket without any bad side effects

Yeah, if they gatekeep Bounty Hunter but not tale of a beast I’d be pissed because the bounty hunter one is like basically a full on DLC, I mean, it adds a whole new system to the game! Is that not sick as?

Aye, I did Best Of Three. Got ambushed, killed em, went to the camp. Camp did not exist. Then proceeded to roll back to an auto and screw 5 hours of progress, so I could try and get the quest "normally", no luck.

I wish I knew too, I also tried heading to the Atlantic and it was full of ghouls. So I'm assuming the new start con is not activating quest flags. Normally I'd have to keep my head on a swivel to not have it erased by an errant tesla shot.
