if your unable to craft an upgrade theres a trick on pc you can do. go to craft it but put your cursor over the upgrade you wanna upgrade. it will take all the other scrap need but still let you craft the item. same thing works at all other workstations. can even craft infinite health items so long as you have an option avalible to craft.

if you want the best health item in 04 try and get biochem on any and all of your currently worn pieces. get chemest to its max and go to nukaworld for the nuka cooler recipe. thats found at the galactic zone in the left hall / arch at the base floor of starport nuka. once you do repeat the crafting glitch till youve got enough to be satisfied.

if you argue nukacide is better. nukacide cant be affected by crafting perks and buffs. cooler can.

watch out for the robots and turrets though in the area. they will mess you up if you dont got some good gear. my advice would be missile launchers, overseer's guardian set as an automatic gun, and a healthy suply of stims before you venture there. it will be worth it though. dont have the exact stats but i think its like 10000 hp and 2000 ap per bottle when maxed out?

Did you rescue Garvey yet? Are you looting legendary bodies, or is this in a container? Bodies will have more randomized items. Plus spawns are unreliable between different games. Example: I've waited for 240 hours for Nuka world stashes to respawn, other places that rarely respawned are respawning just walking back into the area immediately. I'm able to test this after I go get Garvey today, otherwise I never entered the tunnels yet. Nuka world Pack raiders bodies are where I got my legendary handmades.

The nuke was launched by yangtze's sub, he launched it at the glowing sea and the crater of atom is where it landed, by how quickly the Shockwave reached vault 111 in the intro, it should've realisticly destroyed downtown Boston where diamond city is.

When you play you should be able to tell a small hint Ignore everything Preston tells you once you go to Diamond City and you should be able to tell what's are the main missions

To be honest I never even noticed animations on the pip boy. Because all the missions I see main and side are either a normal marker point or one that looks like a door. But once you start as you play should be easier to tell if you still have trouble you can google a list of the main missions because for some reason they don't separate the missions in game probably

Sorry its kind of hard explain how to tell difference just by looking at it unless there is a hidden way the game doesn't tell you

each faction has its own main missions and also repeatable "radiant quests" where they send you to fetch something, kill something, or talk to a settlement that needs your help. In many cases you do the "radiant quest" once as a main faction mission then it unlocks as a repeatable (or ignorable) side quest

Also, if it isn't a faction asking you to do it, it's probably a side quest.

That makes me think I should disconnect the power to the Castle radio. So what if I miss out on defending some settlements, or never notice that the castle was wiped out by the institute, BoS, or a pack of feral ghouls?

So I decided to boot up Fallout 4 after a while of not playing it and now I can't get past the part where you are on the way to the vault, like about half way of running towards the vault it keeps crashing. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, how would I fix it? I can't find any answers on Google. I have all the updates and I am playing on PC with no mods.

The game is literally 10 years old and I remember it working fine before the "Next Gen" update which was completely unnecessary. Leave it to Bethesda to break something that works fine for years.

On PC it's possible to downgrade back to the old version. That's needed to play Fallout London. I used their one-click install which does it automatically for the GOG version of FO4 so I don't know the steps but Google does

Most users aren't crashing running to the vault, I just haven't heard anything good about the PC version of the update so I've avoided it. You can do a Google search to see if anyone else has this problem.

Yeah but like, my problem is the fact that Bethesda released two Next Gen Patches, both of which added Creation Club Content and broke the functionality of a perfectly working game that people paid money for years ago and decided to let the game die after that. its even worse over on console brah, mods that are removed from bethesda.net by the author or bethesda themselves will now cause a Operation Cant Be Completed popup when trying to enter the mods menu on Xbox the fix is to clear reserved space but ive heard on Sony the fix is to uninstall and reinstall

oh and you also can no longer be offline and play with ur mods on console, when you boot into the game while offline it will autodisable all your mods and you cant enter the Mods Menu to re-enable em cuz the whole Mods Menu is greyed out

I'll just mention that once I rescued Preston's caravan finally, the Minuteman and "Settlement under attack" missions came fast and furious. I had to respond on a minute's notice to keep up to multiple attacks, kidnappings, etc., and even failed a bunch. Be ready, if it's like my game. The hard part of ending Nuka World is the choices of possible raider settlements and their supply farms, so have a strategy.

One of my considerations was the need for a farm that either Minutemen or BOS can claim themselves and can happen early, forcing different decisions, depending how you played it all. I had limited options while going for 8 fed Raider settlements. I could even go for more, but it was about the strategy. It's a challenge to have a wide variety of settlements to choose from, I think it's ok to say.

Then I thought, hey, I can build artillery now, but they wouldn't let me place it, even with concrete foundation floating in the air. But I could place a security desk, so I made a little prison and overseer office. Picture in screenshots, I guess it wouldn't paste.

After launching mini-nukes at Red Rocket from above the build height in Sanctuary, my game seems to have broke. I went back and it worked better until I went into Red Rocket, cleaned house by myself, and then it crashed at least the 6th time attacking those raiders. I'm considering it's my Sanctuary build and going back further, but it just gave up completely all of a sudden, and I can't clean up those raiders for anything. I still wanted to try the piggy bank launcher, but seems like a bad idea.

Sanctuary, RR and abernathy are often referred to as the triangle of death. Build them beyond vanilla limits will eventually kill the game. Can't handle the rendering of all the new stuff so close together

Once you have a settlement, store your junk in the settlement control or workbenches there, it's safe storage. If you craft your own chests / containers in the settlement those are also safe. You need the junk if you want to build, but also to craft mods for your guns and armor, and later on to upgrade and repair power armor.

Dave beat me to it but happiness is naturally capped at 80 and from there you need objects and services that generate bonus happiness. Said bonus happiness is divided by the number of settlers though so the bigger the settlement (or at least the more people you have) the less each individual item will have an impact. Make bars and clinics, get dogs.

At least on PC with the GOG version we can install the "old" version that works and works with mods. Opinion: the real FO4 announcement this month for PC was Fallout London version 1.03. It's very very good but PC only. It's a one-click install if you have GOG FO4.

I run on a 4090 RTX. Ray tracing is expensive for a majority of systems, including the PS5. 30 FPS modern day isn't good. Especially when it's just a visual grab that would be nice for screenshots, but will not draw any attention when you're actually playing the game.

Yes, they did. When Skyrim SE 1.6 came out, it was a base game update. So saves were fine and could be continued without issue.
The "AE" part of things is just a massive bundle of DLCs.

I'd expect the same will be true for the FO4 side of things.

Based on what's been mentioned in the videos, there won't be a need for that as the additional 150 DLCs would be a separate purchase for those who already have GOTY Edition.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's an equivalent Fallout 4 mod to the USCCCP for Skyrim.
