Update! I fixed it! I disabled some mods and re-loaded my save where I was talking to Nick about meeting him in DC and I finally got the quest! The main three I disabled were the unofficial fallout patch, the diamond city makeover one, and the alternate start one (I did one where the character starts with some skills based on their background).

Then I saved after getting the quest. Turned my mods all back and fast traveled to him. Everything was ok 😅 hope that could help you if you have a save not too far back

There is also the mod "holotape of quest fixing"
But honestly, I'd just start a new save.

If you have the nuka-world dlc favor the operators you want their perk after you complete power play for the nuka-raiders. It gives 25% more damage if your gun has a suppressor and 50% more damage if you’re in shadows.

First the two explanations to why you can’t equip them is either they’re broken or you don’t have an exoskeleton (power armor frame.) for the fact you can’t repair them you lack the materials to repair it or you aren’t at a power armor workstation.

No @molten gale mods will not hinder the CC content, there are mods out there to nullify the Next Gen CC stuff, but if those mods are not installed then the CC stuff should work.

If you're on Xbox. Make sure your audio on the xbox settings is set to Stereo Uncompressed. I had the same issue ages ago. Changing it from Dolby Digital to Stereo Uncompressed fixed it. Don't know if it fixes it for PC or PS though.

Play as a scavver survivalist.
Only use homemade junk weapons, pipe guns, railway rifle, junk shooter, cryolator, etc... Ones that look like they are made from scavenge parts.
Only automatron companions and settlers, could even set up a general store/automatron vendor junk salesman.
Set up a settlement that fits the theme, all junk walls and buildings, cluttered like a junkyard/robot graveyard.
Ignore the main story, do side quests as a sort of mercenary for hire, can work for the Railroad since quests don't touch main story, get ballistic weave.
Explore every location and loot since your a scavver and need parts to maintain makeshift weapons and automatrons.
Junk homemade armor, metal, robot, nuka raider armor, etc... Could become Overboss since a raider fits the survivalist theme.
Raider/Overboss junk power armor.

It has the same RPG feel that Bethesda RPGs usually have, in the way of how dialogue/progression works and some of the mechanics. But the story and a lot of the mechanics are very different. I personally prefer the Fallout series over the Elder Scrolls series (don't get me wrong they are amazing games as well), but I'm more of a dystopian sci fi fan than a fantasy person, so that's just me 🙂

The main difference in my eyes is that the Fallout games use Dungeons & Dragons-style EXP leveling mechanics, whereas the Elder Scrolls games (from Daggerfall onwards) use a skill-based leveling system (gaining levels in skills level up the character). The other major difference, for me, is that, as CouchTato says, Fallout is a post-apocalyptic game set in an alternate future America, whereas the Elder Scrolls games are set in a pseudo-medieval fantasy universe.

I have an issue, I am running into using XNOR gates. I have two doors each with their XNOR gate attached, both doors are disabled by a "Master Switch"

The XNOR gates are attached to two switches, one door works perfectly, the other doesn't, and they are wired up exactly the same.

I am at a point in FO4 when I have not been banished from the Institute, but I have Blind Betrayal available, I know after that comes Tactical Thinking where the player destroys the Rail Road.

Has anyone had a play through like this and how does it play out wiping out the RR before getting banned from the Institute?

I know that much, but what I do not know is, usually I play it the other way get banished from the Institute and fail Blind Betrayal, and I get some RR Missions afterwards as the RR scramble to adjust to Synths now out in the world.

What I want to know is those RR missions will not happen if the RR is destroyed?

Currently I do not have Deacon as my Companion, I rarely play with a Companion as it is.

Usually every playthrough Road ends up with which faction you do more quests with up until mass fusion (unless you're doing the minutemen)

I have player AR2 it is bloody brilliant, if you like to play an Evil Faction the Enclave make the Institute look benign

AR2 adds four to five armor sets, dozen of clothing choices, about 30 or so missions, perhaps more... realistically tens of hours of extra stuff. Plus if you go against the brotherhood you have a really cool timed event that makes you realize how good or bad your build is... lol

Institute is a mix of the Brotherhood and the Enclave through subterfuge.

The Enclave when you first meet them are a nast bunch, but if you help out taking care of the original leadership, they go against the "government" and mellows out their actual demands. Although I wish there was more of an internal uprising so that the leadership would be solidified, or not... depending on what you wanted to happen (you become leadership of the Enclave in Mass and take it to either work with entities or take over the entire area with an iron fist)

i used a certain Sun Setting in the Settings menu in the CK to have the sun behave like i want it, now post update this causes a random ass stutter and framedrops in a cell in the middle of nowhere(i checked its legit just called Wilderness)

Just build a small shack with a powered door, place a container in the middle, your weapons, ammo and fusion cores will be safe... Or build a full on armory with a powered door.

In NV's case it was Obsidian's fault the game was buggy not the engine

It's not just Bethesda or Obsidian either.
RPGs in general are known for being buggy. It's a nature of so many different systems working together. Take any Western RPG from the last decade or two and they're all buggy

The Creation Engine is just fine.
All the bugs and crashes we're familiar with are on the devs which on it's own isn't surprising either.
RPGs are known for being buggy, this is no different

It's a PC only mod, storage on the Bethesda mod folder is only 2 GB, this mod is 30GB. Unless they let us have a custom amount of storage, then it can have a chance of being added to console
