Every time I try to fast travel to Boston airport the game crashes

Fast travel elsewhere and walk there, if it crashes when you enter the cell...it could be various issues your going to have to research.

Fast travel to cola cars, then hang a right and go up the ladder. Just walk on time of the area when the raiders would have attacked you the first time around during the gauntlet, you could also go further out the garage door and turn left and run to the Bottle statue. (I personally stay on top of the warehouse near the raider assault area)

I use a mod that increases how many quests you can have from him or the radio from 3 to 5,and it increases the frequency so you always have the max amount of quests at all times.

Absolutely I bought the G.O.T.Y version it's really worth it trust usually when I want to decide to whether buy a game i usually go on youtube and watch a bit of the gameplay it has a great storyline and a great map i definitly recommend playing it!

armor drops from enemies and you can get armorer perk and modify it at a workbench to make it better

Uhhh melee is FANTASTIC wdym?? The Grognak character I've used from the beginning is amazing. Melee VATS and Blitz ensures enemies can't defend themselves, you can block the attacks of Mirelurks, nothing has resistance to bleed damage, and a bunch of other stuff. Even on the hardest difficulty he one-shots things like Putrid Glowing Ones and can kill Alpha Deathclaws in only a few strikes.
Even mutant suiciders, blitzing into them with a crit kills them faster than they can detonate.

I suppose you could say a major factor is him being Grognak, specifically; the loincloth boosts your strength by 2 in addition to your melee damage by 25% simultaneously, so it gives a pretty substantial damage increase.

He even killed the 'Lurk Queen at Fort Independence

All of his perks go into Strength, Endurance and Agility, with a few into luck for better crits and Bloody Mess.

tbh I know people passionately hate the bolt rifles being left-handed, but I like the aesthetic of them so much more when you can see the mechanisms of the gun; which I guarantee is why the made it left-handed in the first place.

Damn, I don't mean to spam, but I just remembered another one: Rooted boosts your defence and melee attack as long as you're not moving. Since you can't move while using VATS in the first place, your melee is boosted with each vats strike.

I almost always use 3 weapons on every character, because I play modded survival, I have a melee/unarmed weapon to save on ammo or for when I run out, a pistol for when my main weapon is outta ammo or in certain situations like close quarters, and their main weapon, usually a rifle.

I don't have a computer for doing so. My "computer" is a destroyed laptop jury-rigged together. It has no battery and is plugged in permanently, its mouse pad is broken and so is using a corded mouse, the screen is shattered and so the HDMI is plugged into a television (because I don't own a monitor), and it has only 100gb of space on its hard drive so is running almost all of its processes out of a 1Tb external drive.

Easiest way to cure radiation for a noob?

RadAway, the Refreshing Beverage, or pay for a doctor.

At 1000 radiation points, with your health completely red, you die; the RadAway cures 300, so about one-third of your entire healthbar

It's more than enough in most cases.

The refreshing beverage can be brewed at the chemistry station at the Red Rocket gas station; it's pure water, a pack of blood, 2 rad-away, a stimpak, and some antiseptic. It cures 100% of your radiation always and no matter what.

Antiseptic can be found fairly easily in any number of random trash. Turpentine is found most frequently but it's also in toothpaste, abraxo, and mosquito bloodsacs.

I should warn, 1000 rads is always lethal. It's percentage-based and ignores your health total. Even if you had one billion health, 1000 would still kill you.

Companions also require ammunition for weapons you give them. I like giving them a melee weapon they can switch to; they pull it out when needed and don't use it permanently. But besides that, armour is really all they need.

how do supply lines work?

You tell a settler to be a supply line. The two locations he's connected to now can use each-other's food, water, and junk materials from their workbenches.

You can't pull the junk out directly. A piece of gold in the first workbench cannot be removed from the second, but the second bench can still use the gold when creating buildings and weapon upgrades.

Most importantly is the food and water connections. You can build industrial water purifiers making 40 water units and supply it to other locations who don't have water production.
This can be done with making a massive food plantation at one place and spread it to the others, as well.

Uh my guy. You don't need a generator for the turrets. Just use the standard ones.
Diamond city doesn't have a fusion core. Explore a few buildings. Also. Don't leave fusion cores in power armor when you park it. NPCs will steal it

There's a perk for it under Perception. Your perception needs to be at least 4.

Without spoiling too much, the Minutemen is the only faction where it's okay to join other factions.

The other ones will eventually have you make a choice between them.

A good outfit for vanilla survival is the baseball uniform, it can be weaved, then the highest level combat armor... Because it's white, whole outfit matches,and your this goofy baseball clad character causing mayhem and whatnot.

Prior to completing the main questline, former members of the Brotherhood can use any grenades still in their possession to summon vertibirds, but the vertibirds and occupants will be hostile, and it will not be possible to use the vertibird for fast travel.
Once you complete the main quest for the Railroad or The Minutemen, that factions vertibird will show up if you have previously talked to the appropriate npc and unlocked the vertibird.

If I use the desktop icon for the fallout launcher, I get to the screen at the Red Rocket with the menu. Then hitting creation club gets me the "Cannot connect", If I use steam directly to launch, I get the mouse restricted to the upper left corner with the music playing but never actually get to the red rocket screen

When prompted to install the beryllium agitator inside Liberty Prime - the hatch is closed. Fix is unknown.[verified]

 pc Open console --> Target the cover using your mouse --> enter disable --> if confronted with a reference object target that reference instead using prid "ref-number" --> enter disable again --> quit the console; the hatch is now open and one will be able to install the device properly to advance the quest. As always using the console make a fresh save before doing this steps.

I knew the "nextgen" update broke my game. Whenever i get near swans pond my xbox crashes to dashboard. This was on an unmodded clean saved game. Well i just uninstalled fallout. Went offline and reinstalled via disc. So no CC or updates what so ever. Started a new game, ran to swans pond and no crashes. Literally walking around, no fps drops or anything. So it proves the updates broke the game whilst in Boston area.

The game is much buggier without any updates though... Restarting/reloading a save can fix issues sometimes, and the same bug doesn't always happen repeatedly, so the crash your experiencing isn't necessarily because of the update... Downtown constantly had issues before.

In my experience, on PC (GOG version - last gen), I've had a total of zero crashes after maybe 150 hours of gameplay. I'm running a dozen or so mods including buffout and the unofficial patch, but no major changes or conversions. I want to stay true to original feel Fallout 4.
As far as known issues with the next-gen update goes, there is (at the very least) a 100% confirmed performance/stutter bug when running any mod that performs any kind of NPC edit (even innocuous edits that should not introduce any performance penalties). This has been 100% confirmed by a slew of veteran modders, some of whom have been modding Bethesda games for over 20 years. Sample white-room saves with instructions/descriptions have been sent to Bethesda so they can reproduce the issue. It has been several months since this bug was discovered and Bethesda notified. AFAIK, the modders have heard crickets (nothing) in response.

bethesda is NOT in control of mods. you use them at YOUR own risk. And once I weeded out the mods that made my game crash (nextgen) it no longer crashes.

Oh, I understand that - no worries. Bethesda made changes to the base game, with the next-gen update. Whether those changes were accidental or intentional only Bethesda knows.
Previous-gen Fallout 4 is more friendly/compatible with mods than next-gen. It is what it is.
Personally, I do NOT believe that this change was intentional and I hope Bethesda gets around to fixing the issue soon.

Not a face freeze. It's a performance/stuttering issue.
The files are available for anyone to grab and test. It's Arthmoor's 5th or 6th post down.

It has been confirmed that, with the pre next-gen version of the game, this issue does NOT occur.

I admit it took me a month to trace down every mod I was using to find any that crash the game. like a grass mod that crashed because of one random texture. nexus had a fix for it.

Not everyone is going to get the stuttering if they have higher end PCs.

At least not with normal play. The test cases will still kill it.

Not everyone is going to have the same experience as far as bugs go... With these Bethesda games, some people experience them all, some experience none, and everything in between.

Luckily we have very talented modders who can actually show proof when it's a PEBKAC issue (99.99% of the time) vs. when it's an actual bug (0.01% of the time), originating from official game updates.

I had to restart a level 40 survival play through, because I neglected to pick-up the overboss PA in Nuka World (realized I loved/wanted that flavor - don't care about the stats). Took a LONG break before getting back into it and I love Fallout 4 so much.

hey does anyone have any sound issues with fallout? like when im shooting i can here my bullet casing effects but not my shots. and when my characters in game voice lines dont happen. the subtitles say they happen but they dont. ive validated the files and everything was good on that end but nothing was fixed.

Stick with shadowed leather and add ballistic weave to the mix... Then switch to shadowed combat.

I've seen the Enclave patrols wearing Hellfire armor, and sometimes Enclave solders wearing fatigues with unique black combat armor, tagging along. I've seen them in groups of 2, sometimes in groups of 3 or 4. I've seen them spawning is 3 locations,: 1) on the road that runs from Costal Cottage to Museum of Witchcraft. This patrol may continue on to locations further down the road past the Museum of Witchcraft; 2) on the road that runs from Med-Tek south to County Crossing. This patrol may also continue on past County Crossing to Bunker Hill and beyond, if not dispatched sooner; 3) on the road between Rotton Landfill and Covenant. This patrol likely will attack Covenant. This patrol likely is the same one you saw and mentioned in your post.

the patrols ive ran into so far have been 3 X-02 units with plasma weapons unlucky for them that i was in my FPV that has explosive minigun bullets

I believe some shops have legendary weapons, like the Big Boy, and Ol Reliable. Grind up some caps by industrilizing the water and drug industry, sell it for a huge profit, spend some dough on some legendary weapons.
