Did you read the mod's documentation fully? Typically ones that add new equipment will require different mods like keywords and libraries

You'll also want to make sure those mods are loaded higher in the load order

You can sell clothing to any merchant, so if you have a settlement full of all T3 stores it would go pretty quick selling it all

That's only if you are doing main story stuff and some side quests that come up as your main questing, like helping the minutemen at the start and setting up the settlement for the group, and then unlocking Preston as a companion... Before heading to Diamond City.

In general its go back to an earlier save tbh - always keep a history. If you were only keeping one save you are likely out of luck

The problem is that in series x , The game only lets you have 3 saves , and since i play survival i cant save manually, which means i have to sleep to save The game , constantly.. só The save files are close to each other , and all got corrupted

Kind of the opposite heh - approx 100 mods this playthrough - nothing "cheaty", but loads of additional content and UI tweaks etc (like playing properly at 120-240 FPS without the physics breaking). But yeah apart from my fundamental dislike of the whole "survival game" genre, the limits on saves in survival are stupid. I played for a while on survival tweaked (the mod I used gives you granular control over the settings) - now I just play on very hard

That was a common issue in Xbox One (and S) due to it running out of memory to keep track of everything. You'd think with 16GB RAM, the Series X would handle it better.

Bethesda made the game run about as well as they could given the limitations of the Xbox it launched on. Modders have a way to fix that (I think the mod is called Buffout? The one that increases the caches) but Bethesda did not implement that fix to the next-gen patch.

It's a shame, really. The CK terms and conditions state, IIRC, that Bethesda retains ownership of stuff made with it. But they aren't looking at the modding scene and taking what makes the game better and putting it in their game. Quite the opposite, it seems if something gets fixed by modders, Bethesda blacklists the fix entirely, for some reason. It would be a good question to ask someone like Todd Howard about. Like why aren't they working with these patch modders.

Playing on survival mode, need to sleep to save, sleeping causes you to need to do other things or you get tired/sick ect. Anyway, I've beaten the game a number of times on survival mode over the last... 9 years? so Im good just playing on very hard. Mostly playing for the sim settlements content, its really fun when you've been building for 40 minutes and not wanting to find a bed, rest, and deal with all that. Then the game freezes.

Settlements provide infinite food, water, caps, junk. Really no reason to ignore the system in survival

To minimize attacks, try to have your defense score higher than the combined total of food and water production. It'll help a ton

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with fallout 4's audio on pc. It works in the intro video but in the main menu or in game the audio is not there. I've verified the files, reinstalled the game, and made sure the sound was turned up but nothing seems to work. Anyone know a fix for this?

I only focus on a few settlements connected with supply lines. That are relatively close to each other, and within a few minutes walking distance.
Water farm
Food farm
Adhesive farm
Home
Lots of turrets.
Happiness is always 80 or above.
They aren't attacked that often, if I'm close, I'll go help, most of the time I don't bother.

Every other settlement is supply lined to Starlight so they are separate from my main used settlements, and I don't bother building them up aside from a bed, cooking station, and water pump. And don't bother defending them at all, they are just a place to save and eat.

I cluster important settlements but I try to designate regional hubs. Starlight covers the northwest portion of the map, hangman's alley covers Boston, taffington covers the northeast. Still trying to work my way south with my infrastructure. Always need a good hub to rest up at in the area when you're out and about

Where can you get more saw blades for the saw blade launcher? They say to loot it off from enemies that you killed, but half the time those saw blades don't appear in the enemies inventory. It's a 40/60 for me to get my saw blade back...

I had that issue on Xbox. I force quit the game and started it back up. Not sure how to do this on PS5. On Xbox, I can hit the guide button to get to a list of recent games, hit Menu (right system button) on Fallout 4, and go to Quit. Look around for how to do the same on PS5. Bethesda games are not good at resuming anyway, I always quit them. (It's not just Bethesda. Final Fantasy XV absolutely broke if you resumed it on XB1, always had to quit it.)

I don't think Mirelurks count toward that achievement/trophy, but I could be wrong. You just need to kill all the Super Mutant behemoths.

One is at ||Carhenge|| or whatever it's called... I think it's ||northeast or southeast of Sunshine Tidings Co-Op||. Another is all the way to the east at ||Fort Strong||. Then there's one ||southeast of Gunners Plaza in the swamps||. The fourth one is ||to the northeast, south of Coastal Cottage||

The two Mirelurk Queens, if they count, are at ||The Castle, aka Fort Independence, just kill a bunch of Mirelurks in the area|| and the other is at ||Murkwater Construction, east or southeast of Gunners Plaza, just enter the settlement||. I didn't think they counted, but hey, if you wanna kill them, you get a settlement for each one so why not

There's no giant Mirelurk called Mirelurk King. Mirelurk Kings are just another shape of Mirelurk. They're more like crabs and can shoot you with waved attacks similar to the Children of Atom's radiation guns, and I think they do energy or radiation damage. They're commonly found in the southern parts of the map, and are a pain in the neck

(Not counting Far Harbor. I don't think there are any Behemoths there, but there's a named Mirelurk Queen (or other giant creature) there. Or two. I remember one where you had to throw meat in the river. And another one you could encounter out in the wilds as a random encounter (past a certain point in the story, or having heard about it, perhaps. Oh yeah, then there's the Red Death. That was an interesting fight.)

Does the cryolator have armor piercing, because I feel like BoS solders die to quickly to it, I watched a video of someone using only thw cryolator in survival and one of the scenes showed him almost 1 shotting power armor units

If you remain undetected, you should be able to pickpocket his Fusion Core and take his armor without issue. Just remain undetected while pickpocketing the Fusion Core AND while stealing the armor.

For those playing on Xbox, and on multiple generational consoles, I've noted a bug with the latest patch. I mostly play on my Xbox Series X, using 60 FPS as a target frame rate and prioritizing Visuals. I also play occasionally on my Xbox One X in a different room.

Should I do so, when I go back to my Xbox Series X, the graphics Prioritization has reset to the default Performance option. This happens every time, and I've opened a ticket with Bethesda Support to notify them.

look in the start menu for windows defrag and disk cleanup; both should be in a folder in the start menu under Windows System Tools, or Windows Administration; once you find them run the disk cleanup first then run the defrag tool

temp files and a fragmented disk can affect game performance

Yeah, basically. In survival I always carry 10 purified water and 10 food (Mirelurk related food seems the best weight wise), plus 5-6 rad-x, a few refreshing beverages and grape mentats. That loadout always worked for me (I should probably carry a few more water but 10 is enough for short trips)

Quests like that were likely made by people who don't enjoy games. They work in gaming for the money. But their contributions as developers are valuable to publishers because it pads out the content, albeit as filler.

I'm not saying there aren't real gamers at Bethesda. There absolutely are, and they make wonderful quests. But that, Star Core collection to get the shiny red power armor, and the 100,000 Nuka-Cade ticket thing... I mean, when you play games for tickets, it's not about the tickets, or the prizes you can buy with said tickets. It's about the time you spent and who you spent it with. Even in 2024 when most of the games suck, I still like going to arcades. Skee-ball is still at most of them, and that piano tiles game is fun, too. I still think it's good entertainment for the money you spend.

Skill book, unique weapons, and companion X6-88, the first two it sounds like you got, the latter you won't be able to get. Could have gotten his perk and kept it though. But no big deal. I think it's just energy resistance.

X6-88 looks like a cross between Blade, Neo, and JC Denton. He'll always outshine you, but he's not quite as effective. Might be the coolest looking companion. They went pretty hard on his design, but I'd still rather roll with MacCready or Hancock.

Oh, and you also missed out on a ton of crafting supplies, mostly aluminium. But that's no big deal, you could always find that in the Wasteland

That's probably what's causing it...try removing and reapplying your mods one at a time til you figure out which one it is

You can craft most bullets using the machines so you don't need to change the ammo type of specific ones...the only ones you can't craft are flamer ammo, fusion weapon ammo, plasma ammo and gamma rounds

Not sure if you can craft mini nukes or missiles
