I want to tell the brotherhood about paladin Brandis to complete the lost patrol. If I speak to danse, I only get companion dialogue. Normally the fix is to speak to Kells. Though, if I speak to kells it opens up the dialogue where you inform the brotherhood about Acadia. Is there a fix?

The RNG for the affixes is all over the place unfortunately, you playing on Very Hard? That increases the chance of creatures proc’ing as Legendary. Giving you far more chances at getting an actual good drop.

basically you need to put your sniper perk to level 2 (level 13 you can already have this). Sniper level 2 can work using combat shotguns, each pellet there's a chance to knock you opponents, just attach a short scope and you should be gucci

so you can snipe long distances and nobody will touch you close range

I don't know if you remember but 2017 was the year of microtransactions and that's all that flood the news. then they were called out. the publisher and games trying to turn pc games into mobile, and in so turn that would mean the same would apply for console. but pc players said "not in my backyard" and shut it down.
odds are if they suceeded, not only bethesda, but every publisher would follow suit except the indies. today there's another threat and that's of unfinished games. it's just another way that publishers found a way to save a buck by allowing us to be happy with getting less. but that's today and that's not what this is about. it's about your comment about fo76 at launch. if you remember.
fo76 was the laughing stock of all video game news journalists for an entire year and a half. it replaced the discussions about these microtransactions from the prior year.

That's a good question. PC vs Xbox performance, especially since Fallout 4 was an Xbox One title, now it's "optimized" for Series X|S. The PC I had to compare it to (have no longer, past tense) was a 4th generation Xeon (1231v3) with 16GB DDR3 RAM, and a Radeon 280 (3GB GDDR5). An absolute toilet of a system by today's standards, it won't even run Starfield (the .exe basically just says "no," though the error is slightly more nuanced... honestly it should have either just said "No" or "Honestly you should really know better than to ask this of me"). (Currently running an M2 Pro Mac mini, so I can't test on that, much as I'd like to.)

So, on that decade-old PC (which was only built about a year before Fallout 4 came out), I can run the game at 1440p and get decent performance in and out of Boston. I never really had Boston issues (even downtown) on PC. I also own the game on Xbox (bought the SPECIAL edition before I had GamePass), and on Xbox One, it was basically unplayable anywhere past a certain level (I guess the game got too overwhelmed with keeping track of everything? There's a mod for this on PC, and I used it). On Xbox Series X, I'm nowhere near that level, so I can't say. However, in and out of Boston, the game stutters pretty badly, even on performance mode. Like I'll be going somewhere and the game will straight up freeze for a couple seconds. I don't just mean during auto saves (it does that too, all Bethesda games do, I think... I know Skyrim and Starfield also do it), I just mean during normal gameplay. I can't objectively fault Fallout 4 or Xbox Series X in this case, as I'm also running mods. Sim Settlements and the other four mods associated with it (Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Workshop Framework, and Scrap Beacons — the last one being optional, just made by the same author). And that is fairly script heavy. Still, the Series X should be able to handle it. My PC was more powerful than the Xbox One, but the Series X is way more powerful than the PC.

you have an xbox? you have a pc. if you are willing to NOT use mods. fo4 is on geforce now which you can use on both xbox and pc with it you get to "rent" a 4090 24GB + 5600x + 32GB, and should be playable via gamepass. I don't know the best way to setup the game. I don't believe there is. i can tell you with cp2077 i was able to remain at 60-120fps using 4K HDR10 on max settings in geforce now. (creation club may work in geforce now, unverified)

I can't remember exactly but it has something to do with how much space a mod takes up and how that's calculated.

Unsure on that. I'd suggest doing a powercycle. Shut down the console, unplug the power for 30 seconds (make sure the fans have stopped), then restart

who ever wrote the post about praising , even if it doesn't fix every bug, taking responsibility to fix what was broken should always be celebrated. There are many games were it was left buggy and it was up to the community to fix it. Devs going back and fixing it themselves to have a more stable experience is virtuous I believe.

you need to use Load Accelerator to speed up load times, otherwise the load times will always be tied to the games framerate. (Load Accelerator uncaps the framerate in load screens)

I have 3k hours in this game, trust me, vats broke with the next Gen update.. you can mitigate it with a max perception build and all hit chance perks but I don't want to run that build all the time 😅

Tbf a lot of those type of mods can break a lot of stuff. I used to use BostonFPSFix but overtime it was causing some missing texture issues

I do have the (-) 1 perception visual bug on my pipboy. my perks display as norm. my hits and vats seem to be working just fine.

lock picking isnt tedious, but hacking mini game is for me, I have a mod as you tend to sink to much uneccisary time away from the more meaningful gameplay. Bethesda should add a auto hack consumable item or just make a perk that makes hacking quicker

No. Honestly myine has been pretty good at 117. That said, I did have to install a jump mod as my jump height halved at the higher frame rate. Other than that, everything was OK. Loading a holotape was quick, as was entering a terminal, but no lock ups or anything game breaking.
