Idiot Savant is definitely bugged. After reaching level 11, it's not activating at all. I'm receiving XP every 1min over 3h, but it didn't activated once. It was supposed to have 1% chance to activate, but it's not activating. I've played with this build a few years ago and it worked like a charm, but now... 😪

my ideas were. a proper auto scrapper yeah i know its a mod but it would be nice to have it as a proper dlc personal vanilla vehicles (which includes avian/aircraft vehicles) and possibly some vanilla uncraftible structures. why would i like to see these as creation club dlcs? because simply put it these were missed oppertunities to be added as main game dlcs and since mods can be a bit wonky id have a feeling it would adapt a little better into the coding and in terms of functionality.

Nope, once its done it's done. You can try to fix it by making sure you have all the mods that caused it, most of the time a corrupted save is the result of mods conflicting - not always, but most the time. Once a save is corrupted there really isn't much that can be done. It's like the blue screen of death for that particular save.

The best one? The go running and jump at it with your eyes closed build! It's like an elden ring adventure, do you really want someone telling you what to do or where to go? (If so that's okay too ha, it can be a blast to go blindly in the night with survival though and just try stuff.)

It's the Bethesda way. I've been playing since Morrowind first came out as a kid, so maybe I'm just used to it ha. It's why 'Save often' is a real thing ha. Always have a hard save at the start of a game, always do hard saves frequently that you don't overwrite, and quicksave anytime you do anything ha.

Try going for the radiation resist perks, the trade lines is good for managing weight and getting stuff you dropped off more easily, the drinking Rad water one. Those should be the stuff you invest in first. Basically the things that make surviving and not having fast travel a bit easier. Then stealth and dps.

I think FO4 made a good job of all the factions. They're pretty much all grey, with unique flaws, making the choices of what ending to go for a lot more engaging.

wouldn't it have been cool if The player (who can learn to build all kinds of things) learned after killing many gen 1 /2 synths learned to reverse engineer it and build his own gen 1/2 synths. I know there is mods for this, but if it had been apart of the story where say he learns this then there is a quest where the player builds Nick a new body and transfers his mind after he gets nearly destroyed. he is laying there without his legs blown off but still still conscious. The broken creation club items will surely be fixed I would imagine. The mods situation is a bit harder to predict. It might be left to the mudding community to try to salvage that mess which is more or less what happened with Skyrim after the anniversary edition.

Most of them you find in generators in buildings...if you rely only on those you find in power armors or loot then you'll be struggling. If you have high enough stealth proficiency you can sneak up on enemies in power armor and steal their cores...which not only gets you the core but also forces them out of the power armor which you can then take without damaging it with the frame too.

My suggestion would be to avoid mods that modify gameplay.

Currently im playing a Sniper/rifleman on survival, focused around crits and perception for headshots. I use stealth for picking weaker enemies from a distance and save the crits for tough enemies.

Back in 2020 when i first played survival i had a heavy weapons + powerarmor build, It worked but i had much less flexibility combat-wise (The power armor offered survivavility but at the cost of a limited approach to combat)

A gunslinger with automatic pistols might be fun too but i've never played one, It seemed like limiting yourself to weaker weapons (The gunslinger perk mitigates this somewhat)

If its a "hardcore" mod a sniper would fit well, i dont like to take risks and my rifleman/Sniper is doing just fine. Against mele enemies i have enough firepower to cripple them before they catch me (Only exception are deathclaws and glowing ones, the later end up with a few broken limbs though)

The rifleman perk also helps a lot vs tough enemies by letting you bypass some armor percentage

Probably could get more levels. I don’t know what weapons or items you have so you can always just explore and level up. Do side quests, get unique/legendary weapons/armor.

I'm a vanilla player so with current fallout 4 state i have been craving fallout 4 just don't want to go through the process of downgrading to just play vanilla as I normally do. Since downgrading seems like a lot of steps just do get to play vanilla again without issues.

There are so many fusion cores around you just need to look

They are very plentiful just by exploring but you can also buy them from weapon venders as well if in a pinch.

Im lvl 40, explore most locations i find and have +28 saved up. Early on i also found a few stacks of fusion cores inside ammo boxes with 3-4 cores, had to left them behind because of weight of ammo in survival.

In my opinion fusion cores are quite common and if you have nuclear physician you shouldnt have a problem with power armor energy.

That perk from INT will save a bunch of money in the long run, for its essential on survival if i plan on using power armor

I feel like the fcom (fallout commander) mod should be in the base game, fallout NV had something like it, (bit of spoilers for the rewards of each faction) ||the minutemen flare gun has never worked for me in the first place, and the synth relay grenades are limited time use from my experience, and the virtibird grenades are only useful in survival||

The vault suit with modifications gives the "best" protection against energy weapons (Really common weapon type for high lvl humanoids like synths and gunners), plus i like the looks of It (It looks quite confortable too).

The downside is you wont be able to get stat boosts with It (There is 1 unique vault suit that gives better protection against ghouls) and the best modifications require 4 ranks into science and 4 into armorer

It seems the next-gen patch fixes the Vault 81 cure dupe. It plays a bit differently now. If you refuse to give up the cure and drop the cure, you can only say that you took it for yourself — the game is now aware that you no longer have it. You can pick it up and get the option back to cure Austin. If you say you will cure Austin, you are locked into conversation and can no longer back up to drop the cure.

Theres a glitch possible if you have an item in the weapons workbench and the cure, with that being the onky thing on you and you are able to modify that weapon in any way, you press the option to go further in your mods from the initial select list and shorlty after that pressing scrap, you can scrap the weapon and be in the mod list. With you scrapping it you turn the weapon into the next possible item (the cure) and with adding a modification to it it permanently acts like a junk item. So that means if you drop it and go into workshop mode and do the store scrap exploit in theory you can dupe it. Have only tried this yet with the you’re SPECIAL book and it worked

Wish I could craft ammo in fallout 4 lol still can't use hunting rifle because of how rare 308 ammo is and the hunting rifle does double the damage of the pipe rifle. I can't carry enough to carry both it and the pipe rifle as that would make looting harder.

Doesn't help that i'm addicted to buffout since level 3 and nothing I can craft or find gets rid of addiction. I'm only like level 11 or 12 so far but that means ages of this stat lowing debuff 😦

I can't tell if one my mods is causing them to be really chatty, or if it's just Vanilla behaviour, but when I pick up items they constantly are saying things like "what do we have here" and "like I give a ____" . Is there a mod to change my body because some of the clothing mod that I install make my body fat when I put it on and some just use my vanilla body shape.

I dont think they will, mainly because the general quality of the creations is much lower in Fallout 4 than in Skyrim. In Skyrim the +10 euros for the upgrade + CC content was worth It but with Fallout 4 It wouldnt be in my opinion. Too many skins and 5 minute quests, in Skyrim CC added whole new areas with new enemies

Ever since the Fallout 4 Next-Gen update was released, I'm no longer able to properly use my PS4 controller with Steam. Prior to the update, I didn't need to use Steam Input. Now it requires me to use Steam Input and even then, I don't have full access to the functionality of the game. The trackpad should allow me to exit the workshop as well as transition from 1st and 3rd person. Additionally, and even worse than that... L1 and R1 no longer function, so I have no V.A.T.S. functionality, which makes the game incredibly more difficult and I waste more ammo and with no R1, I'm no longer able to melee or use throwables, such as grenades or mines.

I've encountered the bug in the "Painting the Town" side quest where Abbot only tells me he's busy. Tried fixing it but none of the recommendation worked. I'm wondering if I encountered the bug because I first started a quest where a settlement wanted me to stop the raiders at Hardware Town.

Do you think it makes sense to go back to an earlier save (about 4 hours lost) and not take the settlement quest and see if that fixes Abbot's quest? Or would you move on with this un-completable quest under miscellaneous?

Any mods suggestions for making Nordhagen Beach a BoS base? Like my idea is after Show no Mercy the BoS sets up the settlement as a protectorate, keeping it safe in return for food and basically lording over it. Other settlers hear of the safety, and move in, and the BoS has a thriving farm of multiple food stuffs under their control

I wish there was a option to take the castle for the BoS, it is a strong position south of the Prydewn, basically a smaller citadel. If the BoS could enlist the SS to take it for them, then it could lead to a conflict with the minutemen, and you having to tell Preston Garvey that the minutemen will have to deal with the lack of it, or talk to elder maxson to secure the minutemen ownership over it

This is the crux of it, but, yes, you can remove mods from one set of T-45 and move them to a different set of T-45. Or other appropriate make/model power armor.

The Fallout commander mod is so overpowered, I can have up to 36 (possibly power armored) units, pretty much a firing squad... imagine if I gave them fat man launchers... anything in a mile radius is gone including me because AI can't find the difference me in the blast radius and an enemy in the blast radius cough cough liberty prime cough cough
