I don't think many like them. Most popular are Brotherhood of Steel and Minutemen. I think even the institute is rated higher than railroad because of their amazing facilities and very clean pre-war like aesthetics.

The issue is you cannot base a government on charity, the minutemen don’t require anything in return for their services, so they rarely get anything, they need to establish a agreement with the commonwealth and it’s settlements if they want to last long.

Diamond city would be in danger if security left, it would lose a lot of money if it closed down to make up for the loss of defensive personnel. Diamond city should have at least given a home or aid for rh survivors tho.

The thing about a citizen force is that they are very vulnerable to issues of morale, they lack conviction when things aren’t going well, they go back to their own homesteads when things start going wrong, there are no consequences for desertion. There is a lack of discipline which the structure of the minutemen have a considerable issue with on their very foundation.

Let's say that the player manages to make the Minutemen so powerful that they basically become the governing force behind most of the Commonwealth. Where do you go from there? If most of the danger has been eliminated, you'd just be left with glorified security guards for settlements. And eventually, because of the lack of danger, they would get lazy. Which would make it easier for corruption to take root and for the whole thing to eventually come crashing down.

They can, but major reform is needed so past mistakes aren’t repeated. They had proper leadership and communication before, what they lacked was cohesion and the ability to withstand the prices and losses their mission entails without falling apart. The minute men decline couldn’t be stopped until the Sole survivor showed up.

Except their mission basically is impossible, they don’t ask for anything in return, and while that makes them one of the most noble factions in all of fallout, it also means it pays prices in return for nothing guaranteed. They’re taking too many hits by being willing to take on so many people, if they go after the BoS then the minute men are honestly done, too many threats from raiders, gunners, super minutes, institute remnants and the BoS

The minute ironically only have a chance if they are the ones that destroy the institute. The legitimacy of destroying the enemy of the whole commonwealth, which wiped out settlements and stopped the commonwealth from forming a government would be much better put to use on the minute men than the brotherhood or the railroad, who would only stay in the area for a decade longer at least. The minutemen would be given a chance to build something with the respect and faith they would get from destroying the institute.

SS2 is the best Fallout 4 mods of all time, maybe even one of the best Fallout mods of all time. Voice acting is (like 98%) on point, the new mechanics fit seemlessly in the base game and the questline is superb. Hell, it could even be considered official DLC due to how everything just works in a vanilla fo4 environment.

The deliverer is your best friend if you're going for a full pistol build. Since it uses 10mm rounds but has way more damage than a regular 10mm while also looking cool as heck. Pistol builds are a bit harder to pull off though, as they usually require alot of setup in order to be truly devastating. I prefer speccing into a different weapon type (like rifles) while also having perks for extra pistol damage so I can use a pistol as a sidearm when I run out of ammo for my main gun.

As for the best pistol in the game in terms of damage? Probably the western revolver from nuka world. But the ammo for that can be quite costly, combined with a fairly slow reload time (even with the reload speed increase perk). You won't be mowing down larger groups with ease.

Depends on the stage of the game but early to mid game I tend to favor the hunting rifle and I gradually upgrade it as far as it will go as I find parts on other rifles that I take off and put on mine. It does fall off in the late game tough so later you'll probably want a gauss rifle or something.

Legendary perks were so amazing when Fallout 4 first launched but later they hugely diluted the legendary perk pool with a ton of garbage. So right now anything that isn't a guaranteed spawn you might as well forget about it because good legendary perks aren't happening anymore.

Ok. So I see the announcement last night. I'm looking for clarification and possibly some help to be able to download the ps5 version of FO4 from the playstation plus collection version.

I downloaded the ps5 upgrade disc version when the update first launched, but I want to be able to play it without having to use the disc. When I clicked on it to download, it started working, but the icon on my home screen showed the disc, not the ps+ logo. How can I force it to be the discless update.

All of the DLC are pretty solid.

Automatron is the least liked (mainly because of the PS4 crashing on start-up glitch that was finally patched in this update), but it's still got some highlights.

Every other Dlc is great, Nuka-World & Far Harbour are amazing DLCs, with Far Harbor being one of the best DLCs in the entire series.

The workshop DLCs are very nice too, they feel almost like they should've been in the game from the start.

Far Harbor and Automatron are GOATed, however you can usually find game of the year or all dlcs with the base game for cheap

Robots are basically unkillable and are the best provisioners for Supply Lines.

I think Codsworth ignores this tho, Since he's Base Game before the DLC.

I tend to use Robot Farmers at certain settlements I directly grab resources from like Finch Farm, Abernathy Farm, and Graygarden.

I think Fallout having some multiplayer games isn't the issue, more so that Bethesda is trying to do everything themselves and that ends up delaying a lot of their other projects. We waited years for FO4 and they focused on 76 while some of the team did pre-planning for ES6 while also doing Starfield, now that 76 and Starfield are out, all their efforts are in Elder Scrolls which will put Fallout 5 at at least 2030+, they need more people if they want to push out more products without the pressure of time and delaying other projects

Now seems like the perfect time to have another studio do another spinoff Fallout game while the game is going, I doubt Obsidian will do it cause they're busy with Avowed and Outer Worlds 2

This is to roll back the Creation Kit (For those who uses the CK):
    download_depot 1946160 1946161

These will download into your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_377160" folder in separate depot folders, for example the Fallout.exe would be in a folder called "depot_377162".
    Once you have these, replace the contents of each folder into your Fallout 4 installation folder (choose yes when asked to overwrite).
    Once you are done you should have constructed the updated contents from the previous version of Fallout 4.

i know i have to go with the minutemen, but i was more confused on which quests to avoid since to get that ending you can't have beef with other factions. some guides say that certain quests will make a faction hostile, specifically 'undercover underground' which is only the second quest you get from the railroad. i wanted to do tradecraft in order to recruit deacon but i don't understand whether doing that quest will automatically unlock underground undercover, therefore forcing me to be hostile with the BoS

you can still join the other factions even after accepting the general position. afaik most guides tend to list a specific order in which you have to do the quests but each list i find is different from the other, the key element is avoiding making any faction aggro. i don't understand why there isn't a clearer guide for this

It’s essentially exactly what Xbox’s game pass is but for PlayStation we get monthly games that you can only redeem for a certain amount of time but then they are yours so long as you have a ps plus subscription which is required to play online anyways.

You can get all the perks but you'd have to put in a lot of hours in order to do so, as there's no level cap. I'd say it's common to have a "Build" although depending on what you want to do, there are some mandatory ones in certain trees, examples being if you wanted to be into Settlements in addition to just questing.

I think it's 272 levels or something like that in order to get every perk.

Sorry for the (very) late response, the differences with New Vegas hardcore more are basically; limited saves (You can only save when you sleep on a bed/bedroll), you recieved X2 damage and you get diseases. I've finished New Vegas once on hardcore and It was way easier than Fallout 4 survival mode (The main difficulty comes from limited saves and taking X2 damage, that makes things quite hard early on). Diseases are only a problem early on, once you can craft antibiotics you can have them controlled

If one only uses texture mods, and mods that do not change the property of game objects, one is usually save, for save game corruption.

Like a MOD changing the DMG values of weapons, or even change quest content, and then is removed, that is a good example of how one can get weird save games.

i think while it is awesome it feels soooo much like a handout, especially because its quite powerful for the early game if paired with a good stunlock melee build. While its limited by fusion cores early game it is not too difficult to go find enough to where you just wont ever have to worry about it, but i guess by that point in the game its balanced out by being rather underpowered for anything lategame, with the main benefits being extra CW but you can get the perk to FT with overencumberance anyways so it kind of just does nothing beyond that point except look cool and break quickly :/

All my mods are showing on Bethesda.net under my library but in game I only get a list of about a dozen under my library to download. Is this a bug?

Anyone having no sound with FO4 I found a fix nothing else worked: Uninstall fallout AND steam using something like geek uninstaller wiping every trace after uninstall, reinstall steam and fallout, fixed. Must be some weird corrupted file within the directory.

Completion of the quest line unlocks all mods.
So does having specific perks.

You can have more than one character on Xbox, so don't be afraid to create a new one. When you have more than one character there will be an option to select character in load menu

Is being working, the problem is on the mod page no show all what you install, and for me just show 15 favorites, also some mod wen are open kick you out to the game menu.

There's one for PC but it requires the F4SE (fallout 4 script extender) so even we can't use it yet until the F4SE has been updated to the new game version.
As PlayStation doesn't allow script changed then even if everything was updated I would say no there isn't.

You can create a manual save ,if not on survival, but unfortunately you can’t name them so you would have to make a note of save time to backtrak

I have both on both consoles and they look exactly the same lol. If anything, framerate is less consistent on PS5 and crashes more prevalent on XSX

IGN is also wildly not trustworthy. You can easily change your settings for a video to “prove” a point.
