I use MO2, too. Because MO2 works with Virtuel Drivers kinda thing. Vortex access them directly. But MO2 has an weak point. all thinks that need to go below Data\ needs Manual installing. Vortex do not care

Folks usually see it as "not worth it" - too demanding for a minor quality improvement. If you aren't ok with the game's vanilla textures, i'd suggest using "Vivid Fallout - All in One" mod or some other.

Fallout 76 time frame 2102-2104, Fallout 4 2287 don't think they do.

FO4 takes place 210 years after the bombs dropped not unreasonable that nature started to recover during that time.

At least in some places. Might depend on how hard the area was hit remember the area of the Commonwealth was hit pretty hard hence why it has the Glowing Sea. Not to mention the events of FO4 take place during the Fall and Winter so it's gonna look pretty dead anyway. And I believe it was mentioned that Radstorms are far more common and frequent in the Commonwealth than any other place due to the Glowing Sea and that'll definitely have an affect on how well vegetation recovers.

Is the issue with having more than 60 fps on high refresh rate monitors being fixed with the Next Gen update? Currently, on a 144Hz monitor, the framerate is not capped at 60, so physics will break and game will be speed up.

Clearing game cache can work for some, but if you've never had it installed before then that shouldn't be the case.

There's a Skyrim mod that enables AI generated speech to NPC, to diversify what they say and it opens up a lot of different types of interaction.. it's absolutely bizarre to watch.

I'd be tempted to use it myself, but it looked a little janky when I saw it at an early stage so I didn't bother.

It might be CC content that is available for free, on the CC there is a special page where they gave away discounted or free items away so it might be there or it could be a straight up update to Fallout 4

I play the game
I do the freedom trail following
I find a mutant and 2 dogs to powerfist
Game freezes, after it freezes the game gets 2 frames in and then completely freezes, then the game quits by itself within 8-14 seconds

Yes, but the article doesn't go into specifics about what fixes are being implemented. So anyone saying "This issue X is being fixed" is speculating at best.

If it's a known issue, and probably known for a long time, how would you react to it when you jump in-game, thinking the issues you faced before are fixed but actually aren't and the crash is just around the corner, ready to lunge at you like the deathclaw?

well the new update will introduce complications alot of people are excited for a certain mod (idk if i can talk about the big mod that everyone is waiting for set in london) this one will be pushed back because it relies on alot of other mods they will not work with the new version of fallout 4 just beacuse of the version number in some json file but other issues that might be introduced in the code base

This is also speculative at best. Nobody can know that mods will be broken. The fact is that as long as mods don't rely heavily on F4SE based DLL plugins, they'll more than likely be just fine outside of perhaps some conflict adjustments.

4k+ textures are available with the official hd dlc. That's not a remaster, just a bugfix update with some content additions. Much less than Skyrim AE was (in comparison), but completely free.

Hey, I've picked up fallout 4 after years of not playing, got three dlc, automatrons, far harbor and wasteland vault tech. At start it was going okayish in hard, but now, I've saved a robot named Ada, did her quest (was quite hard) and now, I'm swarmed by very hard to kill robots.

I'm level 18 I think, and my weaponry is just not enough to deal with what I'm facing. Any advice ? Any way to get fast levels maybe for better weapon mods ?

Well the level to start Automotron is 15 but yeah I know what you mean, when those little bands of bots show up it can get difficult at low levels. I suggest taking Nick or Piper (you should have those 2 by now) or even Preston if you can put up with him, on your travels. When a band of bots show up run aways a bit so you can single them out and let your companion take the brunt of the fight.

well apparently it is backwards compatible with ps4 discs however the older the generation ps3 and down the more games wont work. because ps4 and 5 uses a pc style archetechture and well ps3 2 1 does not. so all ps3 2 and 1 games will not work if you put the discs in the console of ps5

i swear since i bought all the dlc's everything a settlement is being attacked, it's almost always by robots, one of them even had with 3 tanks with one with a skull, t'was really hard to clear 'em out

you can entirely prevent settlementt attacks with simple maths

lets say your power is 12, water is 4 and food is 7, you add these together 12 + 4 + 7 and get 23, your defence has to be 24 and you wont have to atttend any attacks you will be fine

I personally use industrial water purifiers in sanctuary, you get a bunch of them and can get like 300 purified water in the workshop at a time and can trade a bunch of stuff for them, because they sell anywhere from 9-11 caps upgrading the vendor perk.

I mean, you can kill merchants and/or steal their stuff and sell it all to other merchants in the game -- but other than that its just exploring and selling everything you can. Fallout is intended to scale your economy with your partition in the game. Without exploits, there isnt a way to make caps super easily.

Yeah that’s why the purifier method can kind of be broken, like no vendors actually have enough caps to trade all the water for caps, so it mostly becomes trading water for resources and weapons and stuff. The purifiers refresh the water in the workshop at random times, but you have to remove the water from the workshop before more will appear.

Best of luck, once you get enough you’ll run out of space in that river so space them as best you can, you’ll probably need power armor or a companion to carry all the water at once when you get enough, automation robots could be helpful with that.

I just hope downtown/financial district/ other problem areas were finally optimized properly, can't navigate ANYWHERE in these areas on Series S without the game freezing/crashing 100% of the time.

I hate to be as much of a pessimist as I am, but those issues are probably not resolved unless they did some serious work on the engine and the textures. its been almost 10 years and those issues exist on all platforms (if not crashes, then at the very least uncomfortably low fps with drops and flickering) -- My guess is the patch will basically add the hd textures to the next gen consoles and then probably some minor bug fixes dealing with more major console related issues.

the fact that the game released in 2015 and clamped the physics engine to frame rate locked at 60 fps is egregiously short sited and straight up ignorant of the 1. popularity of PC gaming and 2. Idk i just figured I'd come voice my opinion, I got frustrated playing earlier because I can't even navigate through Trinity Tower to get Strong recruited, tried 6 times and froze every single time.

I crashed earlier today trying to fix a bugged questline. The questline bug got baked into my save file apparently and now I had to use console commands to finish the quest.

At the end of the day, bethesda needs to realize that their tech is not keeping up with the demands of their concepts. Fallout isnt a mod playground, its the best video game IP ever made in my opinion. They should want current and past titles to represent that. The only problems with fallout 4 are gameplay and experience issues. Those aside, its an awesome game.

Hello, I'm not sure this the right area but I felt like asking here before submitting a help ticket. A few days ago I turned on my ps4 because I wanted to play 4 again because I had just binge watched the show. On the zoom-in to red rocket, even before the main menu even loads, my game errors out to the blue screen. I click accept and report with screenshot every time. I've turned my ps4 off and on and every time, the error occurs. I even deleted the game data and reinstalled like I was inserting the disk for the first time. The same error occurred. My disk has no dings, scratches, or marks of any kind. Is thins because so many people are reinstaalling and playing the game that my ps4 cannot load game data from the server? Has anyone else experienced this or have suggestions?

your frame rate is probably faster than 60fps.

lock your frames at 60, or install mods to resolve if on pc. If on console, then hard reset the console.

That may not be correlative, but you could always disable or uninstall the mod to check and then reinstall the old version if it resolves, but fast walking and animations are almost always symptom of your game exceeding 60fps.

Uninstalling some mods will because sometimes they get baked into your save. You can back up your save file beforehand if you are on PC.

It’s currently a known issue with the PlayStation. The devs say it won’t be fixed until 25th April so game is unplayable with DLC at the moment.

You could uninstall and then download again without the DLC and you’ll be able to get it working.

It's always been a problem due to the atrocious pathing issues in vault 88.
I only came across it once in many playthroughs and had to keep redoing the mission by trying a floor piece with the cycle on in various spots until Clem could path there properly.

I never figured out how to realistically use them, and the one time I started too was in sanctuary, I built a 3 story concrete building with a vault door, stairs that went up every floor with a beautiful balcony over hanging the factory on every floor… then I learned about build limits in settlements 😭

Yeah using industrial water purifiers has always been my method, if only settlements transferred over more than just junk, because if they did with aid, an operation on nordhagen, sanctuary, anywhere with water all with industrial purifiers would give you like 1000 purified water at once (in theory)

Just keep leveling up the one charisma perk, because if you’re producing like 400 water at once, 1 or 2 caps higher is getting you 400-800 more caps, to a point where you gotta go to a bunch of vendors for caps or just trade directly for goods

Yeah it’s the first one I’m sure you do. But either way I think if you get vendors or whatever in you’re settlements you could just sell there unless you already do that, I usually would sell to the brotherhood and diamond city, unless some other place has something really nice I need.

You effectively erased the BOS from spawning, however, the ones who are still in the police station and the ones who are still alive in the airport will still be there until killed

You can get a radiant quest from one of the Institute scientists to attack Brotherhood groups for blueprints

That'll spawn more Brotherhood for you.

The way to fix the issue with the door is to allow the game to sit for a while after picking up the Pip-boy. If you have mods or Creation Club content installed, it all gets added when it gets picked up. So just give it time to load.

Yeah. Like I said...if you have Automatron installed, you can't play the game at all. So you either delete the game and reinstall without Automatron and literally miss out on content in the game, or you don't play the game at all.

first things i'd be checking are:
-if you're using the launcher and the inis are not set as readonly, changes you make may be overwritten by the launcher settings (btw iirc you only have to change prefs.ini)
-there's a known bug for fullscreen and some rigs/hardware combination, you may want to try on the nexus if you find a solution
-i suppose your monitor resolution is 1080p, well be sure it is 😄

Right now, when you launch the game, does it run windowed borderless? I mean does it 100% fit the screen? are you using some sort of virtual resolution on your gpu such as dsr for nvidia cards?

I'm sure that I'm at 1080, cause it's a laptop, currently w/o dedicated 2k monitor. I don't use any alterations for Nvidia settings and I do have radeon graphics, nevertheless the game found my 3050 mobile.
The game starts at 1280x720 ish, top left corner with top bar, but the bar is missing control buttons such as close, maximize and collapse.

I suspect as well that the game just ignores ini files, but I've set it to run with admin privilages.
As for nexus - I haven't found anything so far that could've resolve the issue. F4SE with "UI ini mods" does not include display settings.

Basically, when I play "online" as soon as I start the game, I cannot go beyond the main menu because it would crash immediately.
But if I play offline, the game would start without any problem.

So, it is not a big deal since I can still play offline but it's sad I cannot gain archivements...

It stores as an item in the Workbench it's not in the Workshop menu. Only cat bowls.
If you want a dog bowl you have to drop one from your inventory, grab and hold it and place it where you want.
Unless you use a mod or console command to turn off its physics though, it will/can get kicked around.

It sucks to have cat bowls and not dog bowls but the purpose of the cat bowl is to keep the cat within the area it's built in, as the cat will navigate near it and use it.

You have the dog kennel to do the same for dogs.

Just try it out, the ammo weight is negligible if you just choose 1 weapon and take like 100 to 200 rounds with you. Missiles and mini nukes are heavy, though. If you're not on Playstation just find a mod for survival saving, lots of them exist. I personally use "SKK Survival Utilities" which has multiple options for making survival better.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I typically do this sort of thing at the start of a playthrough, once I establish a main base (usually Red Rocket). Obviously you can only carry so much, so one thing I do is take all the junk in a settlement, drop it on the ground, and scrap it into it's base components since it all weighs less that way. Then haul the most useful/rare junk first.

If you really want to prep yourself you can also make a bunch of pocketed light leather armor pieces and use buffout with whiskey for extra strength to carry more.

Hmm well when I have "junk" that I don't want scrapped (like gold bars or abraxo) I just store it in a container instead of the workshop.

But if you are producing fertilizer, that's another story which I have little knowledge about.

I honestly don't normally make a scavving station, I just keep my weapons, valuable junk, and junk specifically required for certain drugs (antifreeze) out of my workshop. I constantly pick up junk in every excursion, so I don't find a need for scavving stations personally. But I also rarely have any settlers, I mostly use Sheffield and Piper to farm my tatos, corn, and mutfruit so I can craft Vegetable Starch for adhesive, and those 2 are the easiest "settlers" to get if you go to Diamond City. Oh, and while we're talking about transporting junk, you could also bring a mule with you (follower) and just dump as much as you can on them and send them back to where you want it stored.

You could bring dog meat and 1 humanoid follower, dog meat can't carry much but in terms of low weight junk he could still be useful.

Idk if you use many mods but I use one called "Portable Junk Recycler" which basically grinds down junk into it's base components anywhere you are. It costs a decent amount of scrap to make one but it requires no perks or anything and weighs 3.

Helpful if you like hoarding microscopes and heavy junk with useful components. Turn that 5 weight into like 0.6.
