Gage, MacCready, and Preston are all valuable in Survival as well. Preston in large part because he's quick to get max affinity for his perk, and that laser musket is insane at lower levels.

Gage is both wanted for both perks and innate weapons/stats. Gage is pretty fantastic and accurate, with 9 PER if you replace his eyepatch. An Automatic Handmade as weapon is very nice, and the perk gives bonus EXP and resistance

Yeah. Honestly, any companion in power armor is highly comparable to Danse, but the unbreakable armor is pretty nice and the innate weapon being a AER is very nice.

Each one is able to be continued until you hit a Point of No Return during another questline. Note, there is a PoNR if you kill any named members of those factions.

Minutemen: Forever, it's impossible to become enemies with the MM. These are kind of the "fallback" option, if the others are locked out. Even the two, real named Minutemen (not just related-ish), are marked Essential.

BoS: Taking the relay to Mass Fusion in "Mass Fusion" for the Institute, and during Precipice of War for the Railroad since you get forced to kill Rhys and Haylen.

Railroad: Tactical Thinking (BoS) will automatically make you enemies with the RR if you talk to Kells. Permanently, unless you become enemies with the BOS. End of the Line also requires killing the Railroad, and completing it fully wipes out the RR anyway.

Institute: So many. On top of killing named members, telling the Director you destroyed/saved the synths at Bunker Hill, following the MM questline enough where you can accept their request to not get a specific scientist to join the Institute, during Spoils of War (BoS) and taking the Vertibird to Mass Fusion, and technically during The Nuclear Option for the Railroad but not really.

Old trick..keep a machete in your inventory cut off a killed enemy's body part, preferably arm or leg because if you have to drop them they don't roll, store all your over encumbered stuff in the body part, pick up the body part and carry it in front of you to wherever you got to go. I've been doing that since Fallout 3, but I learned don't use heads cuz they can roll away .

a good trick for fo4 survival scavenging i found. make robot mules you send to other settlements you have but havn't built up yet (hang mans alley for ex.) . drop off in their inventories, and send them home as they get filled. (protectrons are good early game) i mean even settlers can be used as mules if you don't wanna sacrifice them to supply lines. give them backpacks , fill'm n send'n home.

just the remember the trick is to send whoever close to where ever youre going. so you can maximize the time spent not at home.

Body parts are easier because you can drop it and hit take all, however you do got to make it back before they despawn.

I do think though if you leave Preston's ass in the museum, there's no settlement set up and no attacking. I did the never leave Sanctuary challenge up to level 100, with about 30 Raider cages and never got attacked once.

Your charisma is too low, that's why you are getting 4140 caps

If you have maxed your charisma to 10 and equipped +4 Charisma outfits along with cap collector perk 1, then the power Armor frame price will be 2400 caps only

Still it isn't worth 2400 caps for a frame. You can find power Armors in various place of the commonwealth, from there you can take one for yourself.

Use doctor Sun's Chemistry station (on diamond city) to craft poisoned caltropes

Now sell poisoned caltropes to every trader on diamond city.

This will earn you a profit margin of 800 caps to 1600 caps depending on the availability of steels.

Then you can buy fusion cores with the money for 240 caps each

Wait for 2 in-game days and repeat

Note: you need high Charisma character (along with +4 Charisma outfits, cap collector 1) to buy shipments in low price and sell poisoned caltropes to high price.

The Explosive effect is a standard Legendary effect, slapped onto a Radium Rifle. Which is pretty great as a weapon, but in terms of straight Ballistic not by a solid margin.

Yeah Pax syringe is the best of all syringe

When you use pax syringe on enemies, they won't be hostile for 30 seconds (but will attack if you do attack them)

So you can use this opportunity to destroy/pick pocket their fusion core from power Armor, which forces them to exit

Now you can have a brand new power Armor (atleast you can have their frame which is the costliest part of power Armor)

Finally solved the fps issue. I capped my FPS to 120 in Nvidia control panel, and turned on Vsync also in Nvidia control panel and downloaded that fps fix mod. Seems to work rather well now

if you have DLC and any of the Creation Club items installed i would say Distributed DLC Leveled Lists, makes it so that items from DLC and creation club items spawn in containers and vendors all across the commonwealth and other DLCs

can also configure it so that select things only spawn in the world after you complete their quest, so if you have the Prototype Guass Rifle Creation Club item installed, once you finish the quest youll find more in vendors and in containers

i doubt, someone said that Beth probably wanted people to actually walk more often because it makes it so you have to explore a bit more, so all that work done on interiors/locations dont just get passed by, and so you cant just bypass any sort of danger to u

but lets say that doubt isnt there, it also depends on how big the map is, and what its like, another reason someone said Beth probs didnt add vehicles to fo4 is because of the map is too small, and it would make the map seemed even smaller than if you were just walking, or they would of had to inflate the map up, and have locations farther apart to make it not seem so small

i wouldnt mind at least some form of drivable mode of transport, but im not gonna lose any sleep if they dont

I would really like to see a Fallout take place in New York, if not the main story than the main focus of a DLC, with traveling into the Big City possible

we know that they want to do at least something in New York, if not NYC because from what we've heard from the devs is that Fallout 4s location was originally going to be set in New York, so we know that they arent saying that New York is a huge crater, they are leaving it available for future games/dlc

I think I found a great way to get caps, build a lot of scavenging stations (or water purifiers, idk which one does it) and sleep or wait for 24 hours, then go to the workshop and transfer, usually I get 25-50 purified waters every time I wait, which is at least, 400 caps

that doesnt say how much damage was done dipstick, there is at least 1 other non-fallout game that shows NYC being hit by a Nuclear bomb, and that game you still travel to NYC, and other than those lines, we pretty much know zip, nadda, nothing about NYC, could it be a toxic radioactive wasteland void of life? probably, but considering that the devs still have that document from pre-development of Fo4 means that they might want to visit it in the future

and once again, radiation levels do lessen, and eventually is non-existent with enough time, so depending the the timeline of a Fallout game the radiation might be non-existent

and even if we dont travel into the heart of the city, future games or DLC could still visit the state of NY, possibly even the outskirts of NYC, giving us at least a visual of what NYC looks like

@wind ermine look to see what the Game of the Year Edition is versus buying all those separately I'm pretty sure it's cheaper now. And even if you have the base game and change to the game of year Edition all your saves should be okay.

Although I think I have heard that the goty is now the base disc with a season pass download code, so if you don't have the internet you're screwed and don't get the dlc, also I think that means don't go to GameStop and buy a used version of it or get one off ebay, but I could be wrong. I don't know now I've been playing since day one, and got the season pass so I spent 90 bucks on the game.

You mean the shops for a settlement? The different types of "stores" go up to tier three with reg settlers when you get the perks for them. Then special chars add an extra tier. The vault tec rep increases junk vendor for example. The doctors in the wastes add to hospital inventory etc.

I found a amazing bug I had the backpack equipped before I uninstalled the game and the carry weight stayed even though I didn’t reinstall the backpack creation club thing yet but when I did reinstall it it added on to the backpack weight I already had I’m at 445 carry weight out of power armor with lvl 1 strong back and 7 strength sorry if that was confusing

imo its gonna be released before starfield, since its not a massive update, just bug fixes, performance increases and fixes, + new creation club items, and all those creations could be blown thru pretty quickly

if it was a way bigger update i would assume we would of heard more news on the release date, and it would been released even earlier or possibly even next year to not effect sales of Starfield
