You can't move any of the Concorde followers till you complete all the Mama Cass missions I believe, then after that they turned non-essential except for Preston and Sturgis, meaning you can kill Marcy or whatever that mouthy chick is.

But a lot of scrap anything, world editing mods and ambiance mods...if not done correctly will bork your game.

Also anything that edits the perk tree and levelists have been known to cause problems too.

Bite your bottom lip and forget the dog just go to the shelter as per quest.
It will be 200 years later in the blink of an eye and then you can go find the Red Rocket station.

The game opens up DLC once you're at a level you can handle it.... if you can't play it and keep getting your ass kicked go back to the Commonwealth level up then go back to the DLC. However the DLC levels up just like the regular game, just to make it more of a challenge. Basically it doesn't matter what level you're at the enemies are still going to be slightly more powerful than you once you can get there.

Unless you change the the game difficulty to very easy, but usually most normal enemies on normal mode are slightly stronger than you, but they can't take as many hits as you can dish out... and it means with a skull over their head mean they're way stronger than you and it's going to be a tough fight.... but if you were level 100 and all the enemies are level 30 it wouldn't be a game at all.

  3. I have to nuke my lost dog in order to save the fascist baby who will get kidnapped anyway and ruin so many people's lives. @smoky slate so long as the food requirements are in the green for your settlement it will appear in small amounts in the Workbench over time.
You can also harvest the crops yourself manually when they have some to yield, this won't affect how much product is sent to the Workbench.

Build a deathclaw cage from the Wasteland Workshop DLC, connect it to a power supply, build another creature cage or raider cage so as the deathclaw has an opponent of a different species, also connected to power. Build a Beta Wave Emitter and connect to power so as the creatures don't attack your settlers (and as they are non-agressive to them your settlers won't attack the creatures either) . Wait or sleep a game day or 2. If the cage doors are closed then you have captured the creatures. Turn the power off on the cages and enjoy the carnage.
It's not entirely necessary but nice to build an enclosed arena for them to fight in.

NB: if you wanted 2 deathclaws to fight each other then I'm afraid you can't. The cage arena system is set so creatures only fight another species.
The exception to this is if you want settlers to fight each other and assign them to opposing teams using the red or blue plates.

Any settlement connected on a supply line directly or indirect will give access to the Workbench in each and every connected settlement.

Word of advice when using connected workbenches for crafting or settlement building.
Don't store your favourite shotgun in one bench and go all out willy nilly crafting/building at another, you may find, that steel you needed has been broken down and come from said shotgun back at the other settlement. 😏

From what I understand Aid items in the 'local' Workbench that can be broken down do so and the ingredients will be available in a 'remote' workshop when crafting. Food items won't be available remotely as even if there is excess in the 'local' Workbench they are a direct food source for the settlers and a commodity for the 'remote' settlements again as a food source, yet will not physically appear in the remote location but be counted in the UI for settlements connected that have a short fall. (Some people forget this and take out the excess to sell resulting in connected settlements showing the food exclamation in the UI). Iirc this applies to any cooked meats etc too. Unfortunately this means you will need to go to the 'local' cooking station to craft recipes that use foods, being careful not to exhaust the excess that is needed along your supply lines.

Build a bar and assign a settler to it, they become the bartender.
If you want a specialist bartender, you have to encounter Ron Staples (random encounter) in the wasteland. He requires a level 3 restaurant and you need to meet certain other requirements to be able to enlist him. He will become a level 4 bartender/trader.

I'm not sure there's anything that causes them to join your settlements faster, but the maximum number of settlers that will join a settlement through the radio is determined by your charisma+10. You can also get more settlements, and then transfer the settlers from those to the settlement you want to grow larger, and these transferred settlers can exceed the settler cap (I'm pretty sure.)

Do you have an active quest marker for Preston and he's not there or do you mean you just can't find him in general (no pun intended General). Have you looked on the Sanctuary houses roofs?
Try fast traveling away to somewhere else, wait or sleep a few hours then come back and see if he's returned.

Not all console commands disable achievements, any that are considered cheats that give an unfair advantage such as tgm (god mode) and player.additem weapons etc do, I know tcl (clip) doesn't as I've used that one many times when a glitch has caused my character to be stuck.
Although as you already said exiting the game completely and restarting will reset the ability to earn achievements.

Pre-war money is a junk item, used in crafting it is worth 1 cloth. It can only be used as currency in one instance and that is to purchase Nuka-Cade Tokens at the token dispensers in Nuka World.

Subway Tokens are a miscellaneous item and have no real use unless you meet a Protectron with the subway steward personality who asks for one, as they become hostile if you don't have one to give.

Different dialogue has different script. Same with essential NPCs themselves. You can have an issue with piper but not Nick. For example, Preston Garvey has the weird glitch of his dialogue just basically pausing for like 30 seconds to a minute before continuing his sentence while Piper has no issue with that.

@tawny lion if you want a farm deathclaws there's a tower somewhere in the Northeast that's to the side of a nest (quest), if you climb the tower and sound the siren and an alpha deathclaw shows up along with raiders. You can pretty much hide in the tower and kill theDeathclaw... Great XP farming, plus the loot from the six Raiders in the village.

Apparently she turns from a robot to a person/synth, if you get her Affinity right and quests. One thing I didn't know, years ago when I played because she was a Mr handy and I saw mods that made her cuter or better... and was like damn why didn't I continue with her. It has always had loading issues. Some mods make it worse then normal. I havent heard about anything from the creation club causing it. If you build your settlements to the max level everytime it's makes it worse. When the game was made it was made to be a continuous map load. So it loads everything in the direction your character is looking or something crazy like that. But you will notice some areas have more issues then others. Like before I even knew about mods for Xbox. My game had issues walking from diamond city to goodneighbor. And around bafdtl and bunker hill. If I tried to move too fast through certain alleys between them my game had a chance to freeze. After I loaded up green in the commonwealth, militarized minutemen, dawn of the minutemen, and modern weapons the freeze in those sections turned into a game crash. I had to find backways into them. I couldn't go in the front gate to bunkerhill but if I used the side gate it was fine, leaving diamond city I could go around the mass transit raider base and cut back through downtown close to the water with zero issue. But even now I'm still having issues beside the corner bookstore

There are very little to zero issues with creation club content on PC (I imagine the testing is carried out on PC by Bethesda Game Studios too). Unfortunately it's a different story on console, leading to the conclusion it is a platform compatible issue. Such as the 0kb bug encountered on console which is attributed to primarily creation re-skin content.

The only time PC users generally encounter CC issues is when they have both CC and Nexus mods running together if there are conflicts. This can also be alleviated by installing a mod that exports CC content to the mod manger so that all mods are managed in one place.

The only good thing here that since Bethesda is slacking in older games is that most fun glitches and exploits still work even after many years later. I got tons of caps and resources including maxed out special without spending and point on em. So I guess them slacking has it’s upsides too

In the Lore Dr Frederick, mentioned in one of the Institutes FEV laboratory terminals or holotape (I can't remember which), started the FEV experiments, both men and women were abducted from the commonwealth as test subjects. It transpired that the resulting Supermutant strain had no gender, or even reproductive parts, so it's impossible to say if the cast outs you come across in the commonwealth are either male or female. It's assumed that each variation has an almost identical DNA so they grew all looking the same.
That being said, you are right in the fact that they all have stronger male qualities. This is pretty much due only because of the musculature and shape though.

And actually far Harbor gives you a one shot lever action rifle best in the game... Nuka world will give you like an AK-47.... there's some other perks bonuses and companions but you have to decide if it's worth it for you, @gleaming sequoia ... you might be better off buying the Game of the Year Edition, because it's cheaper than buying all of the DLC look into it

It's a boat ride that triggers a loading screen. Once there you will be able to fast travel back to the commonwealth returning you to the dock where you first took the boat.

After suffering with weeks & weeks of crashing, I like finished the game once again. So I went in with a new play through, this time with mods. Thinking it’d help some of the lag, but it makes some of the map completely unplayable. Unable to go near/In the finical district, if I even try to leave good neighbor I crash (was not fun at all trying to get into good neighbor 😂😭)

And just literally unable to do some quests due to lag in the area. Some that I can think of, is the first MILAs, the DIA cache, the golden leg detective quest, can’t go into the hallucigen HQ, which is odd because I entered the HQ in the same play through before??

So, I'm trying to play this game and I started a new one (wasn't very far before, only like level 5.) Well, after the Vault-Tec guy comes and the bombs drop, I'm running to the vault and then everytime I pass the couple with the woman saying "Don't worry about the suitcases" or something like that, I get a CTD. Hope it keeps working properly. Mods can have unforeseen effects, so that is usually the first go to. The most common issue is crashing.

You probably have some of those mods that definitely make the Boston area smooth on performance but they also break Precombines. Which isn't good. Not a lot of people know that. So Texture Optimization mods are the only cure here: Building, Armor, Clothing, Landscape, Enemy, and Trees. These types of textures are safe to use.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has seen this flaw with the institute. A lot of people I’ve met say that the Institute is the best hope for humanity, and they aren’t the actual “bad guy”. But, that’s plainly false. The most common argument I hear is spoiler warning: ||”Well after the sole survivor takes control of the Institute, they could change their morals and lead a more productive part in society.” - as much as it is wishful thinking it makes no sense to me. Because in my mind in order for you to side with the institute, that insinuates you (or your character) is okay with what the institute is doing ALREADY. So the likelihood of anything changing is low.||
