Not everything is perfect. But from a distance it's superb, and the general atmosphere is cool. After all, up close, the flowers aren't as good as the mods on Skyrim (on Serie X for me), but I'll say it again. It's fun and I get a kick out of it.

The count keeps saying ‘please go’ after his wife has passed. It will not let me complete the quest and now it is stopping my from carrying on the main quest as I’ve closed the oblivion gate.

-I’ve tried waiting hours in other city’s.
-Having his Sewards summon him.
-stealing a castle key and approaching him in his room.

Not too sure what you'd be able to do, unfortunately. For future reference, you should keep making new saves until the game tells you that you can't make any more, especially for Bethesda games.

Yes, and without having any previous saves, unless there's a documented workaround then I'm unsure what could be done. It's why I keep making new saves, so I can reload before certain triggers to try to get the game to correct itself.

He has side quests associated and you need / should / can do all his other stuff before progressing the main quest as the game gets super confused when more than 1 quest is active on an NPC.

Yeah I think so, they seem to shift in mood depending on what quest you recently did. Like the NCR captain guy in NV.

I cant provide you a magic fix for this. The game was carried over from another engine so in theory these old fixes might help from the link I shared. But you need to try all options.

@fallow shale you wanted to see my character well there she is. Finally found a decent outfit.

The sword is a pseudo quest reward. It's completely unique, has a decent base strength and is the size of a two-handed weapon and able to be wielded as one handed. But you can't enchant it because it's supposed to be turned in to one of two NPCs to finish the quest.. a quest I have no intention of finishing cuz I really want to keep the sword for myself... Soooo... Yeah.

As it is a quest item it has zero weight and also 10 attack power. Literally costs you nothing to carry it around.

The ghosting with FSR turned on is TERRIBLE. Some of the worst ive ever seen in the last 5 years. 😭 this is on a 7900XTX & 6700XT. I dont think they did any QA testing on different computers. They all just made the game on the companies pcs and didnt even bother with optimizing for the various PC components other than i9 14900k + RTX 5090

Turn off Screen Space Reflections and FSR Upscaling

i found two clipping bugs with "Imperial Dragon armor" that disrupts my emersion however i still love the game. first the helmet clips through the breastplate during idle character head movements and while running, second one is under the shoulder plate, the lower arm plate will clip through the upper arm plate when standing idle and when you run you can see it clip through in and out. i hope this can be fixed/improved.

So, I started over and remade my character because I uninstalled some mods and did a few modifications of my own to fix the difficulty setting, and what not... Am having fun now playing on Expert or higher while also leveling slower (not skills, my main level is slower. I am level 3 when I should be like level 7 by now I think).

Anyways, am doing the quest in Cheydinhal about the corrupted guard captain...

& an NPC turned around towards me due to me being too close while casting the paralyze spell...

I'm not paralzyed btw, since it is just a scripted spell. So the script still did it's job on the guard captain... Just funny to have this effect on me for right now.

That's why I made a 100% chameleon spell that only last for 5 seconds. I find stealth bow a bit too easy so I'm playing more with daggers and having only 5 seconds forces me to think more about how to use it responsibly

I was having an issue where if I had more than one effect adding more chameleon to reach 100% when spells wore off and items unequipped the invisible effect would stay until I quick saved/reloaded. But for whatever reason having a single spell that grants 100% doesn't do that and you reappear as you should. So if you do my method and don't want to get annoyed with having to reload quicksaves, I suggest not using armor for 100% spell effectiveness

It's preventing from the quest Light the dragon fires from being completed, once you get locked into that scene where martin does his thing, He doesn't , that statue is blocking his oath and he refuses to move around, I say like 45 ish minutes seeing if it would do anything and it hasn't

As of 4/23/2025 my game has crashed 37 times and its all for the same thing. I am running a 6700XT/3800X/2560x1440/High Settings/NVMe M.2/XeSS Ultra Quality +/ and ive not even seen the card use more than 11.800gb. I did see it one time goto 12.527 (something around that area give or take a Mhz).

Sorry to say this, but Oblivion's graphics problems are just absolutely terrible and I cannot support this game

Everytime I look at the sky and move my mouse around, I get these square grid type images in across the screen, and some weird big square ghosting. I have tried reinstalling, playing without mods, applying the engine fixes mod, turning every graphics setting on and off one by one. I still get the same problem. I basically have to play the game while never looking at the sky - no thanks

those are ayleid ruins, generic dungeons. Some have quest related stuff in them. They often do have gimmicky "puzzles" in them though
