I personally have no problem with the art style. I generally think that associating art style with maturity is nonsensical, and reminds me of my boomer mother deciding everything animated is a 'Cartoon and therefore it's for children'.

Plus side, that meant I got to watch Ralph Bakshi stuff growing up.

I have a storage of 1200, and i get every 1min20 overs 800 food is not a problem

but they eat 215/min

so you cannot beat a dragon or check ur item storage more than 60 sec before they gonna complaint xd

question: how works the food production?

Basically build a kitchen, place people with the right "traits" (like pyromaniac).
Then equip them with the right tool and outfit.
The kitchen has 4 people slots. So if you have other people with attributes like "Leader" that helps boost production. Then you can upgrade the kitchen (and tools/outfits) as you go along.
The fun is in trying to breed people with all the right attributes to boost production. You have to watch their relationships too.
It's all quite intuitive and stress free. 🙂

PVE as far as I've seen, but the PVE is very satisfying and requires a way more strategy (when compared to shelter).
Lots more crafting & upgrading required as you advance, and you can really hone in on the skills of your adventurers.

You can get skins for armour, weapons, outfits, as well as for your whole castle (there is currently a Redguard castle skin which looks pretty epic. BUT those skins do cost (sometimes free as a reward I think, I got a cool redguard for my king and one for armour).

My dream is to make an entire Argonian castle full of Argonians named after Shakespeare characters because why the heck not?

Each of the production units (furnace, kitchen, etc) has a specialized advanced version: like a dwemer furnace. Those cost gems, but if you play enough you'll be able to grind enough gems to buy for free. Its not pay to play, necessarily. I like it so far because its low stress and you can quit/jump in like FO Shelter. Really has more layers than Shelter, which I sill love.

The various skins I think are event-based. Right now its Redguard (I'm in Canada so get to play in advance: we might not get the Fallout Jones Cola or fancy Doritos, but at least we finally got something lol)

You can delete room or Stair for get back a lot amount of Wood. You can farm wood from the quest board too! You can also get a lot of them if you have some Elves wood in your castle at the throne, sometimes you gonan get some elves who complaining because your citizen doing deforestation.

The best solution for your problem is there ;

Delete a room for get back the Wood. Maintain any workbench and moving it in the Room bag (in build option). Place our material workbench and product Wood.
create back the room and place back the workbench you have removing! and create another room now with the One you have made !

• You can build another oil workbench (you need sandstone lvl 21+)
• You can also build decoration from the build menu. You have some banner and armor set who can reduce the Oil consummation of your citizen.
• You can deletes some room who you do not servent.
• You can play with the trait of your citizen and placed the goods one on the workbench for produce more Oil.
• You can updrate our Oil workbench too

for reduce a Maximum of issue from Castle

focus only 1 race. Like me i have 60 Khajiit and is all. i have nothing else from others. I have ban them all.

Married all your citizen with a Poor citizen + noble. like this the poor citizen become noble too. with all Nobles in your castle, you can abuse the poor people and nobody gonna complaint (because they are absent) is a lot of times the best method for get a lot of ressource.

Example ; Oh no your majesty, the food is full of Rat what we can do? Sell it to poor people +320 golds.

without poor people = no happiness lost and a lot of money you have gain.

without Wood elves in your castle, you can ask citizen to cut more tree in the forest. +70 Wood and nobody gonna complaint because you have not wood elves.

Without imperial you have 0 obligation ot spend a lot of ressource for the birthday of the emperor or for help him during wars. no happiness lost because you have 0 imperial for complaint about that.

so the best strategy, focus 1 Specific races, put them all Nobles and you gonna updrate fast your Castle.

• select the chest.
• Search the item you want to updrate with a golds left-up corner losange 🔶 and select it, on the selected item, click on the yellow losange for see the full list of the copy of the item you wish to updrate

Select them all and approuved the updrate. You also need golds and Corindons for the most high lvl item

No, rn 95% of the store is useless if u plan on reaching the late game

dynasty pass gives good value but they 3x the price before release

sometimes they have offers with good legendary subjects with useful gear, BUT they only scale to your current tier. Meaning: If u are at Iron, they will have Iron gear. You will advance through tiers very quickly, and wont be using Iron tier equipment ever again.

Therefore before buying legendary subjects for gems you should reach dynasty lvl 190, thats when it gives you moonstone gear (best tier in-game)

same goes with packs, if u open legendary packs at low lvl u get low lvl useless junk, if u wait until 190 you get the best gear

I believe the heroes age. At some stage, they die of old age and would be gone anyway. I don’t know if this occurs with persons such as Ulfric and Tiber Septim, but for others anyway, they will eventually die. They may reappear later, for a cost, but the passing of all subjects will come round. Got to balance out the dispositions. There’s always a music stage and a bookcase which helps to improve the mood of the inhabitants

Yes sadly also legendaries die of old age. The trait "Enduring" makes your subjects live more, instead 65 they become "old" at 75. After that its pure luck when they pass away

Goblins appear on stage 7 at the war table. Simply repeat the stage over and over if need be. Of course, without health, the subjects won’t have health to heal.
That’s where I made a mistake. When you are not playing, oil will recharge over time. What you might need to do is wait for it to become available, exit the game, wait for the food to start replenishing and then enter the game and claim it.
Even after doing that a couple times, the subjects will either need to be healed with healing potions(you can select a subject and press on the potion on their stats, if you have) or send them to the buffet.
I can’t recall what point the buffet is available, but it ought to be early on - after all, who can you do the fights without means to heal. Perhaps check your inventory for the table or scour your castle. It ought to be about.
It can take time to learn how to maintain the subjects and have a more or less well-rounded routine

I'm curious how combat works: Since character level doesn't seem to matter and there are no skills to train it it boils down to equipment? I'm trying to do that dagger quest event but have nothing difficultywise to compare it to. I'm going in with 3 plate wearing npcs (lvl 4 plate) with lvl 6 swords, an iron shield and either a bow or staff. I'm about halfway through and just getting wrecked. Do I need better gear? Other than spamming potions I don't seem to have anyway to heal and my folks are just getting shredded.

You have a few options here; potions of speed, blessings, gems or apply the right persons to each task with the corresponding outfit and equipment. Levelling up the equipped items and assigning specific skilled workers can reduce the forging time. It goes from ‘fine’ to ‘outstanding’. There may be a level or two above that(I don’t have 4 legendary characters with top level equipment so I don’t know).
Pretty much, you make the outfits and equipment, with as little time as possible then apply them to the others.
I wouldn’t suggest birthing an army just to get good characters. It takes a while to grow them and the increased people can make things awkward to click on.

Try using frost against them. Usually fire works, but I find frost does too. Try a staff and place the totem near them, which will act as a distraction while you move around. Ghosts are melee(at least from what I recall) so try moving your fighters constantly, letting the ranged damage do its job. That and blitzing for upgrading to steel armour. Level 3 steel does the job

It is, but moving is integrated for a reason - you need to in order to dodge enemy strikes.
If you have lvl 3 steel, you can get through the event with that. The dagger reward is exceptionally strong for early battles. Steel is more necessary than wool. The wool will get you outfits to produce resources faster, but you’ll need the steel to clear the battles and get to unlocking wool. If you repeat battles for xp, and complete all 3 goals for each(doesn’t have to be all in one fight) you should get enough xp to get level up rewards enough to be able to upgrade your iron equipment. You’ll need mostly lvl 3 to complete the battles to get to steel.
At the early stages, it’s a learning curve, where you can adapt to the fights

The best way to level up is by making lots of lvl 1s. Using a lvl 2 as an upgrade material doesn’t yield as much as the 3 lvl 1s invested to make a lvl2, so just make lots of 1s and upgrade. It doesn’t take too many and if you apply the right folk to the right job, and if you use a blessing, you can get to lvl 4 quite quickly

That’s nothing. With some lvl 5 iron equipment pieces, you can manage that. For the dragons, they are actually easy. Just dodge their attacks and they don’t move toward you, so, in theory, ranged and magic staves can attack from afar

You got to either: force close the game before selecting an option and when you reload, build armour stands and anything which reduces their happiness losses and then trigger the throne quest.
Of course, best thing to do is use music study and bookcase to make them happy and usually do it when not playing so everyone is happy when you come back. Jesters might improve the happiness as they tell jokes, but from what I can tell, that seems random and unreliable

Each station requires a certain ‘xp’ from producing resources before it will allow you to level it. That xp bar is just below where it would list resources needed to upgrade

Only in regards to the 1 real life day equals one year. It’s server time based, so if you go on holiday or change time zones, that won’t matter. The depletion of oil and food doesn’t impact whilst you’re not actively on the game. Having it as a background app counts as being inactive.
One game year passes from a daily server time, which I can’t calculate for you, but for reference, it resets at midnight east coast US.

For some reason, the traits of certain rulers is very tipped in the favour of some classes more than others. If you pick someone with volatile for example, the options can be like that. Just build ample decorations to prevent happiness loss for when such options are not favourable to one party or the other

The packs are based on your level at the time you open them. So it’s best to save them until either the top level - 190, or open them when you feel you’ve hit a wall with equipment and don’t have time to wait around to forge new equipment.
You can use anything you’ve acquired, even if you can’t forge it. If you have it, you can use it right away. You probably won’t be able to improve it until later though

Compared to typical mobile games, for some reason Castles is quite heavy on battery and an exertion to maintain playing. Even on my iPhone 15 pro max, ten minutes of playing with no bs ground apps, gets tue phone heated. I’ve also turned down the settings to low quality, turned off vibrations and turned on battery saving mode. I don’t know why the game takes so much to operate, but I do know that iPads aren’t any better at maintaining the game’s loading speed, especially if you’ve got a slightly older device.
I hope it is just a temporary situation that’s related to worldwide release and may be optimised better in the coming weeks.

It is handy to have options - more offspring means more chances of getting certain traits combinations you’re after. Depending on how you play, you could always banish the ones you don’t want. I like to take my time and not go to such extreme lengths to maximise the proficiency. After all, despite the time it takes to make higher tier items, it’ll be a bit before they think about adding glass or ebony armour. I’d like to see that, but it won’t happen too soon after global release

There are a couple different messages displayed when it crashes: your connection or the server. It could well be just be server related as its global release has increased the footfall.
I’ve had a few crashes, maybe once or two a day and usually it’s due to my connection to the server and not my device’s internet connection itself.
It may depend on your frequency of crashes. Lowering the quality does not look to actually reduce the resolution, but I’ve also tried putting it on low due to my device heating up quickly after playing.
I would say, if you can still play for most of it and it doesn’t crash at the most crucial times, wait it out. Sometimes apps do that with updates due to some loading error.

Why do I have so many people trying to kick out my Heir? Anyone else experiencing such jealousy? They are happy, suggest they are better than my Heir (regardless of their traits) and when I politely decline, they get pissed and drop to mega low happiness. I throw them in the bookcase asap so they don't kill someone. Lol

The dialogue they give as they are strolling the castle has no effect on their happiness. Even happy people can voice some displeasure. Whichever person you have on the throne - they will have some negative disposition toward others, like elves have with Bretons and nords have with orcs. This can make some decisions more dramatic than others.
Some feel decisions greater than others.
Here’s a tip I picked up on;
If you have, let’s say, Bretons at a low happiness level and you stick them to the music and bookcase, then you see a throne task, do not accept it.
If you see one person at the throne, it’s possibly a quest which has a positive option, although it’s not absolutely guaranteed. Two people usually suggest conflict and sometimes the options aren’t always positive. So, if you have a one person quest, don’t start it until everyone is happy. That’s because the next quest could be a two person quest and if everyone isn’t relatively happy, then those two people will stick to the throne and you can’t move them to the bookcase until the quest is done, by which time it could be too late.
It’s like real life - you can’t please everyone. It’s a matter of sacrificing the good options to balance out the happiness overall. Sometimes the options are literally just one option and that’s not always good. Like one I had for a farmer discovering a gold ore vein - the only option was to share it with the nobles. More gold for me but the commoners(all of them) went from about 3/4 to 1/3 for that option. That’s over 40 people I have to send to the bookcase. Heck, I’ll be making a library in my castle soon, if only I could get some quarried stone. Guess that’s just rinse and repeat battles and hope for some.
And, don’t forget, decorations like armour stands will help reduce happiness losses all round. Flags too

I have not seen that particular one before, no. Perhaps it’s a class specific quest or based on some unknown factor, like how many stations you have or number of people or the traits. That sounds like a hassle to sort out every time.
It might be worth - but time consuming - to make a list of every possible throne quest and there’s options and outcomes. Sometimes the most happiness gains aren’t necessarily the most optimum. Sometimes a temporary dissatisfaction in exchange for gold or gems is better than throwing gold at all the disputes. Why some warriors come to me asking who is better, I have no idea? It’s like a bunch of kids. All the while, my king waltz about, sometimes eating a sliced cheese wheel or fighting some ogres, but anyone could do that. It’s not as though the king or queen gets extra health or armour or something for their status

They are not enemies, they actually quest together. It's so annoying.

So that’s the full list of scenarios from the wiki, which basically refer to heirs mostly to be children and family relatives of the ruler. As to whether it triggers solely because of unhappiness or certain factors which aren’t clear, I don’t know. My ruler has no children as my last heir got killed and putting their children back on the throne is my intention when my current ruler is no longer around. That means it’s possible such a scenario could exist then. To have it reoccur so much, meas the game is looking at specific triggers for the quest and finds those triggers to be present and so dishes it out over and over. Perhaps an update will make a better distribution of throne rulings because a lot of quests haven’t even appeared for me once

I have tried looking around for this but have not been able to find info on it. If you upgrade an item that has a bonus on it (bonus ingots for example) by using another item that has a bonus on it, so they stack and become more powerful? Or so you lose the bonus?

You only get one bonus. The bonus doesn’t get any more powerful. The bonus doesn’t have grades or levels - it’s one set state and it’s always going to be the same. You will lose the bonus if the item is used to upgrade an item without it, although it will add more progress than an item without a bonus.
After a while, keeping a low tier item for the bonus won’t help as necessary as using a higher tier without a bonus, unless it’s a small difference be in effectiveness. The food and oil bonuses can be useful because sometimes their use outweighs a small speed increase. I only ever got one bonus from all the items I’ve made, so the chances of getting a bonus is slim

I’d imagine it would be a disrespectful choice toward khajiit - as though they were cats and could chase mice and vermin. It would seem reasonable to deduce that option would not be favourable to khajiit, but then again, some options don’t yield the results they imply, so it is just a thought that option wouldn’t be best, unless you aren’t going for their happiness

Silver ingots are an average tier and the legendary packs in it can be acquired for much less than the combined value of that pack. They are on a cycle, so will come around again. Not sure when though. There might be new offers which could be better than that one

Devious traits make them good with daggers. Good if you’ve got Soul Cutter and are early into the game.
I wouldn’t get rid of anyone who simply has ‘bad’ traits. Their usefulness may fruition later when specific traits are best for the battles. Simply don’t use them at stations if they cause conflict with others. Even two leaders with ‘positive’ traits can still taking a resentment toward each other for no reason. I have one who always seems to cause trouble, but they’re useful.

One Devious character equipped with the soul cutter dagger (from the event) carried me throughout the story up until red dragon. I might have not gotten 3 stars on most of the story, but it’s great for pushing for those locked resources such as Steel for defeating the red dragon. Single handedly solo’s the red dragon with no pots. It’s severely underrated. Specific traits can be useful if they’re being played right.

I found 93 - Forgotten Bazaar to have the best drop rate for corundum. And it’s only one wave, 3 enemies, very easy. Considering how much is needed for equipment upgrades, I’m glad I farmed it many times each day

That quest won’t time out.You can do it when you’re ready. Although it may prevent any further throne tasks from being able to appear which would become a task as such. You’ve started a throne task regarding an infestation in the kitchen due to overstocked food and you’ve selected a specific option.
I’m not sure where you’re at with the tiers, but the game has deduced you are close to being able to fulfill that task. As far as I know, it won’t disappear. You can, however, still receive other throne quests but none which will appear as tasks until that one is completed

Issue here is the rats are making subjects hp drop and food run out so its terrible.. in the end i had to use gems to make the station go to lvl 17

If you have the resources to upgrade your smith, then that’s probably why the game thought you were able to do that task. Or maybe you had an orcish item in your inventory. It is skewed to offer such a task

You can beat the last fight with silver(high lvl though), as I did. If it saves you overshooting certain tiers, then it is possible and it’s easier to upgrade silver than it is orichalcum

Try and focus on just one or two race and throw away commoners and keep the royals.

Keep your Workshop, smithy and sewing table on level 15 for easy orders.

When you finish all 175 missions you need to farm all the purple missions starting at mission 106

Farm them all to get the rare drops and gold. The Dragon 125 seems bugged and it's drops don't stop so you can just kill him a couple times and then move onto 150 and 175 and kill them untill the drops stop.

If you get missions for example the orks and red guards, always take the easy gold if you don't have any Ork race it's just free money 🤑

Awww man… I’ve got 190+ population with all mixed races. I’ve gotten rid of all nobles, so now I can choose to do something that only angers nobles and not be affected. But after my first baby boomer wave dies off, I’ll be im]n mass baby production.

I have two smithy’s and I now get orders for steel weapons & armor due to its level.

Do you know which race lives the longest and which live the shortest? I’ve seen them dying between 75-79 so far.

I just hit the last 25 missions before I can start farming. I tried before and I never get any good droppings.

You should also keep your population below 180 as well... I am at 179 and my food cost is 487 / min
If I have another baby and it changes to 180 it jumps up to around 8XX+ a min.

I spent 500 gems on the auto collector so I can just leave the game running...

I left my new buildings at level 1 so the finish time for the production is like 25 seconds to earn 1 EXP.

But the auto collector takes his time to collect your things, but it's better than nothing and it helps to get the most out of the 30 day pass with his help.

Yea… they are currently eating 2831/minute. I have 4 kitchens that make 4400 grains. My people are always starving, but only like 5-10 are angry/mad/sad. They never have any health for quests which sucks. But I’m not getting killed right away.

After I made “scales-like-silk” argonian as “the king”(husband of slayed queen who inherited through nobility), all my nobles became commoners. Which was like 5…. They were getting slayed quicker than I can produce.

I kept purchasing the redguard books and i kept getting blue+ characters. Those books have helped me progressed big time.

I also farm my Materials from adventure mode Purple + Dragon levels from 106 up to 175

This gives you a nice amount of gold + exp and the rare drops.

But it works very well to mass equipment, use Blessing of grate dynasty and then upgrade all the gear you can as this will result in a couple levels with the huge amount of EXP it generates.

Personally I think you should stop at 15 for easy missions HOWEVER! You do get the Blade Of Woe and is the main Dagger I use for farming the Adventure mode along with the Soul Cutter

I farm levels 206 to 275 with them weapons every day.

Soul cutter is Silver so easy to level up, and the Blade of woe needs orc daggers so that's the only benefit in having the smithy higher is to upgrade the dagger.

Well the massive crafting worked like a treat

Just went from Dynasty level 202 to 218 in 30 minutes using 2 Blessings Of Dynasty.

I mass crafted all the weapon types from the day I started from T1 to T5 and all Tools and amour and working clothes.

Leveled my Dwarven Food and Oil builds from 10 to 18 (This gave a huge amount!)

Used around 60k Gold and 350+ Corundum

no its all the same from 215 and above I believe, thats when u get subject with moonstone gear too. For single gear drops its 190

Did you just level everything up at once? Somebody said the best way was to craft level one items into level 2, then combined level 2 into level 3. But doing that, I barely got through 110 iron daggers before my buff almost expired. I feel like I should have just upgraded a single iron dagger as far as I could in a single go.

I like this game, but I wish it didn't introduce material roadblocks in the mid-game. Marble is really holding me back. If the pass is rewarding me with dwarven stuff, I feel like I should be able to craft dwarven stuff. But I can't even craft orichalcum yet. And with as little marble as I get, I just can't prioritize upgrading the crafting stations when I can barely sustain the silver based economy I have.

You need to farm adventure levels 106 (Purple stage) up to 175 to farm the items. It's not really a road block, it just changes to daily farming

As for the leveling, I just upgraded as high as I could as each item used gives that in exp so one at a time I don't see any benefit in it unless I missed something.

i found annoying we can only fight enemies on a big roadmap

sure is all about strategy and tactic, but i would like to explore and loot dungeons too

Yesterday I threw out 4 legendary commons + another 6 legendary races and around 15 mixed races.

Now am running 100% Kahjit race fully happy all the time.

1. Throw away any baby that grows into 16 years with any of the negative traits like.
   -Haunted
   -Bossy
   -Ummm the one that makes others miserable working with you.

Are the main 3 I will not use.

Best traits I have found so far are.

• leader
• Reckless
  And then the dedicated trait to a set building.

All other problems with any other race / commoners only result in free gold and free T5 materials.

Also I spent the day farming level 125 Dragon as the items never stop so now I am fully stocked up with building upgrades materials.

I did another level boost last night and am level 247 now.
Looks like 30 day pass is all you need to reach 250.

I personally only use the 1, but I also only use 2 life steel adventures with daggers.
I only use the 3rd Mage for when I farm levels 150 Dragon and 156+ purple levels and 175 Dragon.

If you level up your weapons and armor, you will be rewarded with a higher tier weapon when you level to a certain point. That’s when you feel like you wasted all that time to just receive a weapon to help you progress. That’s what I keep experiencing. Except I have two daggers that have life drain. Blue cards are 10% life steal. Legendaries are 40% life steal.

You can always start population control. I began marrying people; and the characters who I wanted to get rid of, I made them cheat on their spouse. So when the time came, I banished the Cheater while getting some money out of it as well. 😅 but after a few times, everyone was depressed, I was assassinated a few times, and it took a day or two to get everyone happy and was finally able to rule over 2 years.

I also unlocked high tier weapons from opening the regulars books. Don’t know if that can help you progress. But beware, each pack felt like it had a character and a skin in it.

i still think we need new facilities like a greenhouse and a livestock for food production. Sure, a kitchen is fine but would be nice if we can have a variety in food production. Heck, even wine and beer

Maybe even add a merchant section where we can buy food and oil in case we can't afford it

i woudn't mind if we can have new rooms for storing alchemic ingredients, good for crafting potions. If you think, Fallout Shelter use the labs to produce rad away and stimpack, but an Alchemic Workshop could be helpfull, as long we have the resources for crafting potions

I would love the ability to craft potions I have around 70+ right now from saved up. But you only get given them when you let your married workers work together or speed up potions or free loot and Gems.

There is a jump as soon as you go from 179 to 180, I posted this a couple days ago.

It's always best to stay under 180 would be my recommendation.

My population is 146 right now.

My food consumption is 444.

Also your consumption is a lot higher than mine.

My population is 179 (could be less but there's some people that I love and can't get rid of them) and my food consumption is at 378/min

Oil is never an issue right? Cuz I have never had any problem w oil

What got me was that @wicked thorn has 378/min consumption and has 179 population.

I have the emperors pass and I do have decoration buildings totaling up to 9% of food reduction.🤷‍♂️

Yer I have I have no idea why you have such a higher consumption rate... I would even say your account is bugged and should be investigated by the staff.

I strongly advise that you throw away more people to try and fix the food problem.

But I would try and get a member of staffs attention and explain It better in the bug report what your problem is comparing it to other plays.

There are soft caps. As you noticed when ur pop dropped to 179 ur food consumption decreased

There are multiple soft caps, I think another one is at 159? Cant remember anymore

Also if u go up to 200, your food consumption bar will be maxed out no matter what lvl ur kitchen(s) are
