Hello I have a theory about episode 7 :
||We saw the dead "House" in the preservation chamber in the ending of episode 5, which means this dude's death is canon now. (no matter if the courrier killed him or anyone else later) BUT maybe it is not House.
Maybe it was his body double.
I mean, this dude is useless to the plot yet, it makes no sense to give House a body double if it's not important to the plot at some point.
House is very paranoid, and very smart. He predicts stuff. He mignt have predicted that someone would try to kill him and decided to lure them with his body double. No one would try to kill him if everyone thinks he's already dead.
Also I always thought that it was "too easy" to kill him in NV, this dude is too smart to let it happen, except if it wasnt him and it was a part of a plan.

They had expanded really far and even taken over vault city long before the current timeline.. losing their capital would definitely demoralize them and probably drastically reduced their numbers, at least in that part of the wasteland, but they still have enough forces to regroup and rebuild elsewhere and that's likely what they're doing.

That doesn't really mean much, when you think about it, having more land than you can manage is a problem, sure, but it's not really about the amount of land in this case. It's about the total number of people spread across that land. The number of people that weren't anywhere near the nuke site.

And like I said, Vault City is a part of the NCR now. And it still has its subterranean levels that can be sheltered in during a nuclear event, as originally intended. I would be very surprised if that doesn't become the new capital of the NCR in the future.

Vault City is built directly on top of vault 8 by its original residents and their descendants.

It still turned into a dystopian nightmare after the fact before being integrated into the NCR though. And it would be very interesting to see it make an appearance in the show in the future if the writers see fit to steer the main characters over to that region.

With the upcoming war involving the super mutants and ghouls versus.. uh, I guess everyone else? Or maybe just against the enclave.. who knows where the story will go?

I've said it before. But to think an empire of 3-5 nation states. All with varying resources and production abilities. Would suddenly be 'gone' because one city was destroyed is insane. The NCR has so much more to it than just Shady.

Out of the Mojave? Sure. Gone as a structured governmental body? Not even close.

They can also return to the Mojave in some small amount of force at any time if they really want to, we know they have vertibirds of their own from the events in New Vegas specifically. Their president at the time did arrive at Hoover dam via vertibird, after all. It was never stated if that was the only one they had or if they had a bunch more somewhere. And since it was never stated it can easily be implemented in the show if the writers want to.

I would imagine from what weve seen, the NCR military is akin to the BOS's ability. Flight, logistics, and geared numbers aren't an issue.

Justification for conflict would be the factor to stop them coming back imo.

Vault city or northern California would likely become the new seat of power for the NCR I'd think.

There is no canon ending for FO4. The ending depends on your choices. I supported the Institute and killed the BoS and the Railroad off. And believe me, if I could take Preston out, he’d be gone.

Given how they've made a hybrid ending approach to the events of New Vegas they could have just as easily done the same with Fallout 4, in regards to the show's timeline.

So I wouldn't rule The institute out entirely just yet.

Besides if the institute were still around in some capacity, at this point in the timeline, either Nate or Nora would be in charge. And though the game gave you the option to play however you want I just can't realistically see them turning evil. I think it would be really cool if they survived the end of the game and had a redemption arc during the show.

Mariposa wasn't the only place that fev was being stored though. That's just one enclave base.. they were doing experiments with it all over the country. That's how the super mutants in 76 were created by West tek on the completely opposite coast. It's also how super mutants were creating other new super mutants in Fallout 3 in that one heavily irradiated vault which connected to the caves in little lamp light.

They had fev all over the place.

So it's true we don't know what the madman gave him. But it clearly wasn't just something that turns people into ghouls. But I seem to recall reading that ghouls existed pre-war in the Fallout lore and it's entirely possible they could have been doing fev experiments on ghouls specifically and perhaps that drug was the result of such research? Wouldn't that be a fun plot twist?

One thing that was irrelevant to 4 which they never tapped on was Maxsons view to west coast factions. If NCR left Boston and east coast for BOS to rule then I think Arthur wouldn’t have a problem teaming up with them

That could be cool, but I don't agree on "lacking in the imagination and creativity." I think that so far they have a nice balance of working with the core lore, extending some lore, and building new characters.

In some ways, that might even require more creative discipline. Borrowing from past characters would be nice fan service and easy, but might eventually mess up the "good" we already had. I really enjoy that they're doing the work to give us new characters that fit nicely in the universe.

In contrast... I think of Disney lol. I have not seen new characters or "potential classics" from Disney in a long time. Just a bunch of rehashes of past stories that I never wanted.

Whenever we get the next Fallout, it would be so cool to me if we get some nods to characters like Maximus, Lucy, Ghoul, etc.

You have to consider the fact that phase 2 which involves the fev was not supposed to be carried out anytime soon at all. Had moldaver not invaded the vault and set all these shenanigans into motion, life would continue in the vault under phase one for at least a few decades more until they were running low on super managers in vault 31.

And phase one's purpose is to produce the perfect super managers to run... What? The end goal isn't specifically explained. But with the reveal of phase 2 using fev also being part of his original plan and not somebody else's it can therefore be concluded that he wanted phase 1 to produce the ideal workforce to oversee phase 2.

I just can't see them killing off the enclave in a season then moving on to something else, they would kill their own momentum in viewership etc..

Nah, I feel like the slow burn long plot is what's going on in vault 33/32 and with those managers that Norm used to escape. Between that and the flashbacks to prewar Coop, there's plenty they can do with the story

And it's not like they can't create new villains either.

Wouldn't it be so cool if Fallout 5 featured in the new primary antagonist that would have got its origins in the show? They did say that Fallout 5 would take place after or possibly during the events of the show's timeline.. so it's possible they can introduce new stuff in the show carry over to the next game if they wanted to.

it's just my opinion, it can't be "wrong". We'll find out more tomorrow. Like I said earlier, I think that "hanks keepsake" is some way to communicate with the enclave. Whether vault-tec knows it or not, the enclave plans to use FEV to wipe out the surface & anyone who is not them, which is canon a la fallout 3. We were just shown how people like coop are manipulated by (presumably) enclave, using Vault-Tec as the "Front" for gaining the tech then manipulating people to get it for themselves.

In my opinion, FEV became FEV after the Enclave caught interest in the pan immunity virion project before the war & modified it to suit their purposes (super soldiers/eradication of non-enclave wastelanders). Sure, it was the "military" researching it, but I have no doubt in my headcanon that this was really the doing of the enclaves hands within the military/government. That and we know West-Tek is pretty corrupt anyways. There is a canon connection between FEV & Enclave in F03.

Wanting the box to unleash FEV doesn't make much sense because she was after the box well before she was in any danger of losing control of the vault, and as long as nobody knew she was Canadian could apparently just do whatever she wanted with these clueless vault dwellers.

i have a feeling that this season wraps up the enclave as a "they make brain chips and run vault experiments to go to the moon, hank works for them" reveal without even getting close to ending the enclave, and then season 3 is Norm after the 31 managers (what's left of them) uncovering the history behind FEV & it will circle back to reveal that this is also enclave then maybe finally season 4 we get an ending to the enclave.
