If it's any of his standalone clothing items

  1. Go to creation menu, delete Eit Clothiers

  2. Back out of the creation menu to the main menu, then close the game almost instantly.

  3. Wait 10s, open starfield and LOAD your manual save, not an auto save.

  4. Check if your clothing pieces are fine and visible

  5. Manual save again somewhere less dense (the lodge or any other empty planet)

  6. DONT exit and save, just exit out of the game via switcher (on consoles)

  7. Then load it up again, download EIT Clothier and place it in the proper spot in your L.O

  8. Once installed, exit the creation menu, then quickly close the game.

  9. Open the game up and load your manual save. Your items should be fixed

All good- but also I should mention,

You should make the NPCs unequip everything. If the NPCs are still invisible while naked, the problem is def Discreet Undergarments. So make sure to delete it.

Eit clothier has a bunch of discreet looking jackets and whatnot anyways 🤝🏼

Anyone else unable to use Starvival on Ps5 since it updated? It crashes my game every time I try to reinstall it. I have tried changing the load order and cannot reintegrate it into the game without a crash.

This one does something similar for the Cruise Mode/Cruise Lanes. In short: It tries to make the scale of solar systems more apparent by modifying how long it takes to travel between planets based on their distance from each other, and other factors.

I'm trying both, now. Grav Lanes' intention is to get people to use Cruise Mode more, and Relativistic modifies Cruise Mode to be a more immersive feature.

In theory these should pair well.

I just need to figure out why my space combat went from perfectly smooth 100+ FPS to literally stuttering for a half second, controls not responding, 20 fps over night.

Sunday was fine. Didn't play Monday. Tuesday, installed a few mod updates, and now I can't play at all in space

The updates were Atmospheric Audio, Legendary Recycler, Rabbits Real Lights New Atlantis, Starborn Spacesuit Visor, TN Modular Starborn suits, the STAR UI compatibility patches, and SFSE Engine Fixes.

I downgraded SFSE Engine Fixes thinking it was the only one that maybe could do it, and still the issue persists.

On the topic, can someone tell me what configuration I need in the starvival mod settings to allow grav lanes to work properly. Currently when I jump I get the initial fade to black which allows grav lanes to start but then my jump timer appears and once more I fade to black again just as the grav lanes timer comes up. And once jumped I’m at the destination planet instead of at the star. I’m also confounded on how to make it (starvival) work with useful infirmaries.

@mortal tundra I know the StarUI is a little wonky since Free Lanes, but is the UI WorkBench and Max Craft still usable? Those are the only two I really care about. If not do you know any other mods that allow you to craft more than the 99 items for vanilla?

@elder jasper the latest release/update are working very well.

I'm working with @regal plume who's done GREAT work doing the updates -- can confirm that 100% 32750 is working (I think it was a leftover piece on my pc install) and I am confident in the 65k right now.

I will recheck and be repacking tonight with Samich's latest updates:

There's actually quite a lot of fixes coming in the recent patches, compared to what console has right now. Workbench in particular had a big fix for tracked items on modifications (would cause columns to fail to render sometimes).

Though I should note, there's a conflict cause the headwear disappear when I equip the visible chronomark by Pilgrim

This is gonna sound like a stupid question. What happened to the Legendary Module Recycler mod? I've been using the Legendary Module Recycler mod since before the most recent update. I'm trying to install the same mods on my laptop that I use on my PC. Except now, I have a problem, there's TWO LMR mods, one says Classic, the other says X-Tech. The trouble doesn't stop there though. The X-Tech version is bookmarked. The Classic is not. So, based on that, I'm assuming the X-Tech version is the one that I was using before the update. So, my next question is, if I install the X-Tech version, what'll happen to the gear I've already modified with Legendary modules and cores?

I really want to deck out my ecliptic with your ecliptic replacer mod but it disables trophies 🙁 I'm just curious; I'd guess there is some sort of process you have to go through. I see there have been issues reported with possible silently failing mod uploads for consoles where all three platforms are being updated at once. I've added notes to the description of all my mods where I uploaded to all three platforms asking console users to report if the mod simply fails to work at all.

If we're getting problems this serious with Creations now, where mod authors can't even tell when issues have happened, perhaps Bethesda should consider adding a channel here for volunteer Xbox and PlayStation mod testing. That would at least allow us to get some verification that our uploads have worked.

I've updated Scrolls of Quest-Fixing to include a new knife, "** NPC Invisibility Fix 01", which performs "setav ActorShouldShowSpacesuitCosmetic_AV 1" on the target. This fixes the issue that causes Delta (or some other NPCs) to become permanently invisible after certain quests (especially "Starjacker")
I can confirm it works for this bug, as I was experiencing the bug myself 😁

Yes. Under the hood, it just kills the NPC and replaces him/her with a duplicate in the brig, so it's compatible with any mission/quest/scene requiring killing the NPC.

Part of the corpse is stuck in geometry, and the physics sim is trying to make the corpse fall over, but it won't because part is stuck. The code (which I have not read so take this with a small Siberian salt mine) is therefore trying to randomly nudge it to get around the blocker, which didn't come from Havok so it can't know how to unstick it.

We need a clean way to let the player disable/delete objects of MovableStatic type, so they can clean up things like this in their ships and outposts (including those annoying boxes of paper towel rolls that inevitably spill across some hab and the only way to deal with them is to manually grab them and drag them somewhere in a corner, and hope they don't try to occupy the same space and time and start spinning or bouncing wildly).
I looked into it a bit the other day, but I don't like any of the ideas I had for solutions.

For MovableStatic, we could painstakingly add destruction data with 1HP to each of them, and then the player could strike them and disable/delete. It would mean touching hundreds of entries, and we'd want to be selective so we didn't allow them to delete some of the MovableStatic objects that shouldn't be deleted. I guess we could give them a cheat weapon that does huge damage and make all the destruction data health values huge, so it would only happen when they wanted it to happen.
But there are also a lot of these clutter items like dishrags and blankets that are type Static, so you can't give them destruction data at all (and even if you could, I suspect it would be difficult or impossible to "hit" them). To include these, what we'd really want is to add recipes for all of them so the player could use the Decoration/Build menu to "scrap" them. But, that's a lot of entries, and I'm not the one to make that mod, heh.

That's a "Scrap That Settlement"/"Scrap That Commonwealth" style mod, and it would probably conflict with a bunch of other mods, take a lot of work to put together, and we'd want to learn from the issues in FO4 and NOT break precombines/etc. But, that would limit what we could scrap, and probably force the player to scrap bigger things than desired or not at all for some objects.
I don't know, maybe I'll take a crack at it sometime if I get bored. I would like to have a clean ship without restricting myself to specific habs from mods.

Mod Request: Simple Standalone Wigs (Starfield— Xbox Series X)

Basically, I’m looking for a mod that adds hair as headwear/hats.

There’s a "Disguises" mod that does this, but the colors are random and change every time you put them on, which is unfortunate.
I just want simple wigs that stay one color—

like a black, blonde, dark blonde or brown wig item that stays the same color. No fancy scripts or faction stuff needed

just hair models moved to the apparel slot so I can swap looks without going to an "Enhance!" clinic every time.

If anyone can port or make something like this, that'd be huge.

With that said— due to the Sony restrictions and limitations of the external assets and configuration of console settings.

It's incredibly difficult to navigate premade, HD mods like Star wars Aliens + Droids. Even the weapons use polished textures

And to be completely honest with you, I've waited years for the PS5 release. But when I got it I was slightly disappointed with the modding GB cap being at 15gb— while Xbox has 100gb to spare for mods.

I literally sold my PS5 yesterday, and bought an Xbox Series X the same day.

I must warn you all. Careful when you have Use NPC Animation mod (which it can be used for your character to lean on walls or anything like that). Because if an NPC such as a UC Security is killed after a firefight with The Hunter attacking New Atlantis, their dead bodies can permanently be stated on the ground.

Do I correctly understand that on Xbox/PS, there's no graceful way of letting players drop all quest items?
For Skyrim/FO4, I could just create a quick mechanism that transfers all items, quest or not, into a container, then let the player selectively take whatever items they wanted.
I just tried this for Starfield, and it ignores true quest items no matter what I do.
That is, if I cheat and give myself the base item of a quest item, it transfers, but if a quest gave it to me normally, using the alias-with-Quest-Object-checked mechanism, that item doesn't transfer.
The Skyrim native function was:

Function RemoveAllItems(ObjectReference akTransferTo = None, bool abKeepOwnership = false, bool abRemoveQuestItems = false) native

...but the Starfield native function is:

Function RemoveAllItems(ObjectReference akTransferTo = None, bool abKeepOwnership = false, bool abRespectTargetCapacity = false) native

(notice abRemoveQuestItems is missing)

On PC, players can use a console command to strip the QuestItem flag from the reference, but nothing like that seems to be exposed via Papyrus...so I don't know how to help console players (including myself).

Hey! I'm working on an audio mod for Starfield that modifies the Wwise Init bank (custom bus routing, RTPC connections, etc.). On PC, this works perfectly by placing a patched Init.bnk as a loose file, or by adding the BA2 to sResourceStartUpArchiveList via StarfieldCustom.ini.

The problem is console: loose files aren't supported on Creations, and INI file uploads have been blocked since July 2024.

Since loose file loading of a patched Init.bnk already works correctly on PC(or at least, it seams fixed since the last update), the functionality is clearly there > it's purely a delivery problem for console.

Would it be possible to add a mechanism for audio mods to declare a BA2 as a startup-priority archive without requiring INI modification? Something like a dedicated naming convention the Creations system would recognize ( ModName - WwiseSoundsInit.ba2), or a field in the mod metadata that tells the system to add that BA2 to the startup list before Wwise initializes.

This would open up a whole class of audio mods on console that are currently PC-only > custom bus routing, new RTPC connections, modified Wwise hierarchies / while keeping the existing safety checks in place.

Hey folks, I'm running into a wall in xEdit and hoping someone can save me a headache.

I'm currently rebuilding my ship weapons mod for a v2.5 release and I'm trying to create a standalone, Class C missile launcher. I've got the records cloned, but I'm stuck on two things: getting it to show up at vendors, and changing the reactor power draw.

  1. Vendor Visibility
    I cloned the WEAP and the COBJ records. I stripped out the conditions from the COBJ and replaced them with a Starship Design Rank 4 requirement. But it absolutely will not show up in the ship builder menu at any vendor. I even went into the WEAP record and added ShipBuilderModuleTypeWeapon and VendorVehicleManufacturerAny (and tried a specific manufacturer like Horizon), slept 48 hours in-game, but it’s still completely invisible. Am I missing a master tag or some hidden UI leveled list for standalone ship parts?

  2. Reactor Power Draw
    I'm trying to lower the power requirement from the default down to 3. I know ship weapons use OMODs for the actual UI stats, so I cloned the default Tempest OMOD, changed the SpaceshipWeaponPower AV to 3.0, and linked my new OMOD in the WEAP's Object Template. Is this the correct way to bypass the default Vanguard battery, or am I missing a step linking the OMOD to the WEAP?
    Any help or xEdit tips would be hugely appreciated

I just got an odd bug report on my first mod, which is a model and texture replacer for some Shattered Space Va'Ruun guns. A user reported that for some reason, my mod is removing the fourth legendary slot from the Longfang. I don't understand why a fairly simple model swap mod might be causing this issue, does anyone else have any insight?

If it's a brief lag (sub-second) that occurs about every three seconds, and you're on console, try clearing cache. On Xbox, close the game (entirely, not suspended), shut down the console, wait until the light goes out, unplug it, hold the power button 30 seconds, release the power button, plug it back in, start it up, start Starfield, see if it's still happening. On Playstation, close Starfield and turn off the console completely, then hold the power button until you hear a second beep (about 7 seconds) to enter Safe Mode, connect your controller via USB, select "Clear Cache and Rebuild Database" (option 6), then choose "Clear System Software Cache" and confirm with "OK".
If you're on PC, I dunno, restart your PC 😁

Where’s the awesome modder at who updated all the StarUI mods? For me, StarUI, specifically the StarUI ship builder mod has some sort of glitch that doesn’t allow the ship builder menu to pop up. Not sure what the deal is with that. Let me double check and confirm, because it could have also been the “Spacewalk” mod, as I’ve disabled them both and gotten to the ship builder page. Modifying and purchasing.

Hello friends, Just an Update. I have recently returned to the Starfield modding scene and I'm working on a new Emporium Series Called: Skullkea. Visit my Nexus profile for the link to my Discord to chat or make specific requests. 201 items are already done and in game, working on another 150ish today after work. Skullkea has its own menu tab, and is built entirely from scratch, no duplicating existing items from the CK, each was created from empty forms. When it releases, it will be a large master and be updatable without removing placed items, as all items have Unique IDs for each Thematic Variant list. Speaking of lists, there are 63 lists, and 3 Expansions planned. It will also be on PC, Xbox and PS5 on its release day.

Yeah, I personally use all the mods and try to test things pretty heavily. The only side I don't have much handle on is the pack + test process on ZeeOgres side. He supports the Creation mod sets. If you can confirm the problem for sure is StarUI, I'll investigate further this week and we can get a fix out.

I also recently fixed an issue in ship builder too for category switching on controller (this bug has existed forever, prior to free lanes). There was a problem when you had a lot of categories and the list overflowed - now when changing categories with LB/RB, the list properly scrolls down like it should to show what category you have selected. Just a visual bug. That will go out in the next release.

I am simply reaching out to modders who are likely to be much more familiar with some of the Creation menu idiosyncrasies.

Specifically, there are a lot of creations in the Update category on the Creation screen. But after I actually do the update if I exit the whole game and come back later, most of these creations appear again in the Update category. I assume this is simply a bug with the Creation screen, and that in fact, all of the creations that I have downloaded when they appeared in this category are in fact up-to-date.

Can someone confirm that this is just a bug with the screen and it’s not a case that for some reason, I am not getting the updates?

It's really LarannKiar you'd want for this topic, not me.

WIth Starfield Engine Fixes and SFSE, you'd set bDumpPointerHandlesConsoleFunction=1 In StarfieldEngineFixes.ini and then use DumpPointerHandles or dph in the console after loading a game to generate your report. At the bottom of that generated file you'll see the reference handle count, Starfield has a 2 million reference limit. There's more on this on the Starfield Engine Fixes discussion pages on Nexus Mods.

The game is 64bit but you have to remember this is all built on the 32bit gamebryo engine they built oblivion on, its just renditions and reworks of that for decades. So a hold over they never changed because it wasn't necessary isn't impossible. For example they raised the limit to where it currently is with the special edition of skyrim because it had reference limit issues, and the special edition was their first 64bit game

There are many pieces, and not all have been fully converted to 64-bit yet. It's not always desirable for some pieces.

Even something as simple as that is complicated. Some modders aren't modding anymore. Some because they're deceased. Some tools might also require updates. There's a lot of considerations when you change something like this. But maybe it will be easy, we're doomposting assuming it won't be. Who knows.

Now, there is a lot of work going on currently in patchless integration, where two paid mods work together to integrate if they detect each other, but fully work independantly. That's not the same thing and not always possible, although some modders are working together to make it more possible. That's what just happened with Useful Brigs, Korodic made changes so other mods can integrate without a patch.

That's why VTI Habs is now compatible without a patch, and Stroud Premium is ready to submit an update for the same.

The first big integration like this was EX Solution Systems, which launched with patchless integration with DarkStar Total Gameplay Overhaul.

Some mods are never going to be able to do this with some other mods though, in some cases it requires getting permission to borrow assets and could push things over a master size boundary or the upload size limit.

Or the mod authors just don't get along and aren't interested.

But Bethesda is going to test your mod alone, not with integration, so it's gotta be a real mod.

The lipsync files are identical, which given that franebleu's weren't when they made their Dani on Nexus, I think strongly points to this being a copy.

Now I know why I keep crashing on my current Starfield save that have made me not want to play Starfield again for so long. Now I know why despite that I refuse to enter the Unity, I crash for it non-stop whenever I fast travel to New Atlantis or any other major cities. It's not mainly the save bloat and the plugin limit. It's the Pointer Handle limit. I never heard of the term pointer handle until I saw a video about it. It's when I have so many mods downloaded, but when I play Starfield for too long without going to the Unity, the game would freeze and eventually crash if I fast travel to basically anywhere. Might affect the game memory thing or whatever. It's been a problem for me long before Terran Armada came out. Never got a chance to play Shattered Space DLC story because I wanted to play Starfield narratively for myself before going to the Unity.

Thats not how the reference limit works, it does not accumulate over time. Either you have too many day one or you don't. There are locations that require more references to be dynamically loaded in but once leaving they are properly cleared. The issue is from persistent references that mainly ship mods include that are always loaded in. If you don't add extra mods your persistent refs won't increase and temp refs only change slightly with new atlantis being generally the most taxing

@regal plume Just re-introduced StarUI Ship Builder back into my LO. Same issue. The ship menu never pops up when speaking to a ship technician about purchasing or modifying ships. I’m about to disable it and speak to a ship technician again.

So I can’t 100% say that it’s that mod. I don’t want to spread any misinformation. It’s an amazing mod.

It's entirely possible you just have to restart starfield, sometines it just happens when you adjust your load order from my experience.

I was thinking of making an edit to the lower of my tactical security spacesuit to further align its visuals with the base game security armor.

Left is what I have released currently and Right has the knee guards from the lower mesh of the base game security armor. I feel like this is an improvement but I wanted to see what people think before I release this update.

Hey everyone. I've just started on the modding train for Starfield and the CK. Although not new to modding (Dragon Age, Xcom and some others) I am new to the CK. I've poured over the available tutorials on YT and stuff on the wiki but I still have some questions. Is this the best place to ask those or is there a better place to do so?

I'm starting small with just swimsuits for SF.  I have created new textures, created a new material in CK and even duplicated the nif file of the mesh in order to not overwrite the existing one, but can't seem to understand how or why they don't show up.  Just a point in the right direction would be appreciated.  Thanks```

Anyone using the Modular Explosive Delivery System (MEDS) drone mod have issues with their character being stripped to their underwear whenever using a drone? 😅 Getting me killed on planets with no atmosphere. I'm sure it's a conflict or something, just curious where to start

I think it has something to do with the way the system makes a copy of the player character, but for some reason it's not bringing my suit or clothes or anything over lol

I have an issue on Xbox cloud gaming! Saw there were updates for Stroud premium, aswell as the Useful mess hall patch! Also the Useful brigs mod and Non leathal framework had updates. So I try to Update them, still says missing when Loading the game

Matilija Aerospace and Tiger Shipyards Overhaul both have habs that spawn credit sticks, you could plop down a basic ship with their 3x3x2 hab, collect the credits, and then rebuild the ship with plenty of money.

Yeah. I tried disabled some of the mods I installed, but didn’t work. I did reserve space, but didn’t work as well. My only solution was to uninstall and reinstall Starfield on my Xbox Series S
