I know Hjal is working on an update and hopes to have Falkland stock everything natively in the space station so I'm hoping it works
There's always Marv's Remote Ship Services, which lets you build a vendor anywhere (like ANYWHERE anywhere, you can put the thing in the freaking Watchtower Stardock) that has all vanilla ship parts and integrates automatically with the most popular mods, including Falklands. However, there are a couple of new Falkland parts that added new keywords, so that support won't show up in RSS yet until QA releases it, and they're kinda busy.
Achievement Friendly, since the detection is automated.
New tech, Marv's a wizard.
I used it to put a ship tech on the new landing pad in one of the player homes added in Trackers Alliance: The Complete Bounty Series.
In the update he's adding an aid item remote, edit your ship from anywhere.
Sick, hopefully more cosmetic style in the future too, I'd love to be able to part Falkland and Owltech parts seamlessly

In the builder? Yeah I've seen some framework mods of people trying to setup a system, but I think a lot of that involves creators needing to contact the framework maker to get a section made. Hopefully modders can find an easier way to section out by their parts because the system is gonna get nightmarish
No I mean Im wanting to organise my mods properly before lanes but can't find anything definitive for what it should be

Companions Bundle via Nahruuk, it provides a lot of companion benefits/changes including some presets to change their appearances. I found the appearances, the issue is that there is a flat +affinity amount that is supposed to be in chat options with them, but I don't see it. So it's kinda.. half working. I'm new to modding Starfield but not new to modding.
I guess just have to ask them if not here but if they have it on nexus ask them there

Still looking for a load order list they're all so vague and unhelpful and wildly inconsistent
Part of the reason they're "vague" and "inconsistent" is, there are thousands of mods, quadrillions of possible combinations, and most of the categories are just for grouping like with like to make it easier to spot conflicts. It comes down to the individual mods to spot actual conflicts.
xEdit is useful for this.
So if you've received several that are totally different, they may all be correct.

Is there a mod available for console with the kon-tiki bridge/cockpit having a back facing door? I have a kon-tiki bridge, but the issue is that it only has a way in thru a trapdoor/ladder underneath it. For reference this is the bridge
I think there's one in Mattell's Cockpits and Bridges Crew Series, which vmroche has ported to Creations with Mattell's blessing.
I'll take a look, hopefully it solves the issue, that additional hab space from the hallway is great for adding some more decor
I wish that someone would make a mod that would replace the player character with the Star Lord from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy game (the original outfit with the jacket that has the cool patches). I’ve seen so many replacing the character with anime girls and Star Wars characters, like give me Star Lord. I want to walk around with a Walkman on my back lol

@crisp haven I think you should make some off duty caps that matched some of the Dripfield Vanguard Apparel Pack under suits like the green pants and shirt of the assault outfit.

So the off duty cap you have for your tactical/minor faction pack? You should add some vanguard and other faction variants to other packs

What tools do people use to adjust clothing meshes? On skyrim I'd use bodyslide but obviously starfield hasn't got that so I was wondering other than blender and nifskope what to use. Just wanna adjust the shape/dimensions on the navy berets to not clip with some modded hair.

Well I would have said Blender up until a few days ago, but luckily for you (if you don't want to mess with that) DJLegends now has a new fork of Outfit Studio that can export working geometry and morphs for Starfield: https://github.com/DJLegends1011/BodySlide-and-Outfit-Studio/releases

Why? Doesn't everything hit the center of the crosshair? I haven't played in a long while because my save is bricked. But last time I checked there wasn't any bullet drop.

Easy mod, wind speed and bullet drop are always zero, just hard code it in the scope graphic lol
Easiest job as a sniper. Point and shoot. Also enemies can see you through foilage so no need to wear any camo!

I actually think a rangefinder on the weapon or scope would be pretty cool, considering weapons do have range and often I have no idea what range I"m shooting at

honestly imo based on how Bethesda usually works on stuff like this I think the likelyhood that this is going to heinously break anything is pretty low
not because Bethesda excels at comparability but because they usually build stuff on top of their existing foundation rather than alter stuff beneath what they've already done

So uh...what's gonna be the deal with mods when Free Lanes/Terran Armada comes out? How do I prepare for/handle that? Am I basically gonna have to start a new game from scratch? Can I continue with my old file? Should I prepare a character that is just at the end about to start NG+ (as I've heard the best way to play with mods with an existing character is to do so upon NG+)?
(FYI, just to add context, I'm on console)
Good to have a hard save inside the Unity, but be prepared for the possibility you might have to start over to play until mods are updated. Most mods will probably be fine though.

Hi, could you help me, how to add the Airborne parameter to an armor or helmet in starfield?
first option u can do is turn off auto updates for ur games specifically starfield and start ur console in offline mode so that u might be able ot play starfield without updating when the dlc drops and then keep playing the game on the older version
second option if the first doesnt work is to wait a few days for ur mods to update
third option is just restart ur stuff or hide inside unity.
The GOOD thing is that on console i don't think you get mods that work as they do on PC where you have to wait for SFSE to update, which is what we have to do on PC. most console mods should be fine honestly.
tbqh though i think terran armada will have some effects on the galaxy as ur playing so starting a new save if u havent finished the game would be best

Oh thanks! The backstory for that location is that it is a Trade Authority warehouse which attracts hostile forces because of how it deals with contraband
not 100% but a good try would be to uninstall the mod, then redownload it
Might also be an issue on where it's places in the load order

I know they have a filter for verified creator which is awesome but it would be even better for Bethesda to create a filter on thier creations menu to filter by achievement friendly. That would make it so easy to make sure you have all your mods that you want to keep and then see what else you can add.. just a suggestion.. what do yall think?

Bethesda updates/dlc are notorious for working perfectly on release, so it's a great idea to take the day off, definitely won't have to deal with gamebreaking issues.

Afaik cruising is just between planets and astrogate is between systems but i might be wrong

Inter-system Travel
If you would like to use autopilot to travel to other star systems, the "Grav Jump Behavior" gameplay option must be set to "AUTOPILOT". This will allow you to plot an autopilot course using the Starmap or the Ship HUD by initiating a Grav Jump as you normally would. Make sure you are sitting in the pilot seat when initiating the Grav Jump.

I'm guessing the "Useful" mods are a no-go, same with "Starborn Among us", "Ship Builder Configurator" and "The Gang's All Here", but how about the High Res and hair mods?
Theoretically the "graphics" mods should be fine right? And I figure the one affecting hair would also theoretically be fine, but is there a reason they might not be?

It's a shame there aren't new creations today, been really hoping for a fallout outfit pack like the Weapons From The Wasteland series, awesome stuff
on at least one occasion, an update has altered how the archiving system works with.. I want to say meshes, which means that any costume models from before that update load weird and scrunched and wrong, iirc
you get stuff like that on occasion- usually not even intentional, just a result of the projects being recompiled with later versions of various frameworks

Ah, fair, but what about graphics mods that affect the world, as opposed to costumes (and I suppose NPC faces for the High Res NPC mods)?
The ones I listed above are pretty good, though some of them, again as mentioned above, may not be working as intended at the moment, they're all achievement friendly though
You're probably fine if it's really just graphics. In theory they might break if your graphics mod does more non-graphic stuff than you thought it did.

The "Gang's All Here", "Starborn Among us" and "Ship Builder Configurator" are REALLY nice and can really improve your experience, but you might want to wait for word from their creators either here or on Reddit to see what the verdict is, as I doubt they'll be workable at the moment, hopefully that changes soon though. As for the "Useful" set of mods, those are less impactful than the others though they do add a bit of flavor.
Okay my load order is working pretty decently, Lyria is okay, but Nomad Spacesuit deleted itself, Vigilance Armour might reset to its lowest quality and McClarence legendary affects from vanilla and its own custom ones might reset to something else entirely. Those are the issues I've encountered so far

I tested my mods and they work fine. That is Crimson Fleet Outfitted, Spacers Outfitted, Ecliptic Outfitted, UC POLICE, Paradiso Security armor, Galactic Outfit Redistribution, Brave Crew, Enemy Face variety, & Crew Face Variety. If anybody runs into issues I missed with these mods please let me know.
noob question because I've never modded a bethesda game, how do I create a NPC in the creation kit ?
After a save, reset and hard load, modded armour bounced back to what it was before, Mclarence is working as expected now, ASC Deimos and Falkland is working, so are most weapon mods, Miss-O's mining outpost habs, Tank's luxury homes are working, spacers overhaul and Zone's NPC overhaul are working
StarUI/PraxisUI need to be updated for the new stuff, the vanilla inventory is a pita
FYI KingGath and many other creations modders DID get slightly early access so they could put out an update right away so they do work. They still need to do some re working to make things better integrate into the current version of the game systems. his video today was a good watch.

Just a graphical thing, but it looks like the group name for a set of gameplay options is now used as a header. So if you use any in your mods, I guess make sure your header name is something sensible, and you don't need a dummy option to act as a header any more for the mods that did that.

excellent, if you ask me, its something bethesda should implement themselves, the vanilla inventory is such a pain that I think its dragging the game down.

Looks like the Quantum Entanglement Device is just a regular container, so which of you is going to be the first to release an unlimited capacity creation for that? 
that QED should be a thing for the starborn ship
the first jump to unity should have a cost of losing things, and ability to use that QED should be something for the rest of the NG+
so placing it into the starborn ship, or its functionality as part of its cargobay would fit perfectly

Inventory is fully busted the data menu blocks the new database button and idk if it makes changes to the spaceship hud elements to increase FPS, but if it does cruise mode is not working either with it
and the outpost build version has no precission mode button

For Compact UI users: it interferes with the new gear upgrade functionalities, you can't apply X-Tech upgrades with them installed
In the meantime they can be uninstalled safely

Can someone please help me with uninstalling StarUi, I’ve uninstalled everything and the blank inventory UI is still showing up and it’s not even installed and idk what to do.
make sure ur games data folder hasnt got an interface folder

Yea. So a repeat complaint I hear is that stuff is hard to acquire, so I stuffed the loot table. The Crimson Fleet, Spacers, Eclipse, etc mostly share the same loot table. I have a pending update that makes everything craftable and it narrows the loot drops as a result.
Kind of ignore what I said, I see what the issue is, it is fixed in a pending update

The UC stuff has double the chance to spawn

I was extremely paranoid people would not be able to find stuff they wanted, so there is a lot of lot, it is the same for the Crimson Fleet. I changed it in the pending updates where things are now craftable

I cant get my game to boot up i keep getting dashboarded, sometimes its when i open creations or when i start up a save file.

I could be wrong but I think I'm having issues with the Intrinity mod which is causing the game to just outright crash 10 seconds into the title screen

For me the textures just end up changing randomly when entering & exiting menus, equiping & unequiping, im noticing it with some weapon mods now such as the AA22 pistol & the aa12 rifle

Honestly the main two mods I'm most concerned with working are Starborn Among Us and Ship Builder Configurator, those would be the one's that I imagine would most likely have a bit of problems
That is not something I have ever seen before. If it also occurring on other mods you may have a larger load order issue or an issue with the installation.
Textures randomly changing sounds like an installation or session error.
I would genuinely consider reinstalling your game or at the very least restart the console again.
That being said, this has not been reported by anyone else, so I currently have no further guidance.

The color of the textures and them changing sounds like a memory issue or driver issue if it was PC, but idk what it means on PS5, so my only suggestion is to clear your memory by restarting your console. I will keep an ear out for a similar issue, but on a technical level, I would expect more issues from Xbox than PS5

Issue may have been a messed up download on my end, i was downloading the trackers alliance in conjunction with this & ig the download must’ve forgot the textures
I had a lil issue with trackers initially it installed at 250mb then I deleted and reinstalled to be over 2gb
I sure wish there was a switch we could flip for each of our published mods, to allow them to work for PS5, instead of needing to painstakingly load dozens of my mods in the Creation Kit one by one and then "update" them each to include PS5 🙁

In general when someone updates a mod on the creations site how long does it normally take bethesda to publish the update?
Free creation can be minutes/hours
Paid... They only update on Tuesdays rest and even then only if it passes QA which can take weeks
Oh... well its a paid mod. I guess I will live without it for awhile.
There's been times where a paid got it's update pushed quite quickly but those are usually the exception

No worries, not a big deal. Besides your issue, the only other thing people have mentioned is the massive loot drops which is 100% intentional. So good launch so far.

If you can't view your inventory then you have an inventory ui mod like starui. Ui mods across the board need updated

There are a number of mods I really like to play with, most of them are through Creation Club. Is there a way to see if the mods are still going to run correctly post update before I start a new game or is this just a case of cross my fingers and hope for the best?

I don’t know how people weren’t getting this tutorial when I got it immediately as I got to space on an 11 day old save with 12 GBs of mods installed. I guess I was scared af for no reason and I got off easy. The only crap I’ve experienced was that StarUI doesn’t work.

OK, I've uploaded all my mods for PS5 now.
In the process, I discovered that one of my mods, NPC Clothing & Inventory Control, cannot be updated and fails with "The creation was updated, but the file upload failed", and when I manage the mod on the website, it says "Creation is currently being validated. Please check back later." .
To resolve this, I've reuploaded the same mod as a "new" mod with the same title, description, and screenshots, and a note in the description explaining the situation (I'm unable to add a note to the description of the old one since it's stuck in "Validating" state). If anyone from BGS reads things in this chat, that may be something you want to look into as it's likely not just affecting one of my mods, but presumably those of others as well.

Were you using CKPE? If so it'll need to be removed as it doesn't work with this version of the CK.
Otherwise I'm not sure what the problem would be, I've edited a quest already.

I couldnt get the game to even work today on xbox with my mkds most of it was ship parts pkace your door yourself and patches for it, the darkstar mod also.
That Sjip service mod the one calked falkner or something like that was weird it updated but had two ESM files and the original didnt Load anymore two ESM.files

ok so especially with falklands there's a real chance you're hitting the reference limit
because it's a notoriously high-reference mod
that said, you should not be disabling mods and then using the same character you were using before, because it'll create cumulative errors in the save

Ay. The entire interior being placed in the exterior of New Atlantis was causing quite a bit of performance issues. I think they were looking into making it a separate interior properly, but haven't checked if they ever actually did it.
hjalmere is working on moving the showroom onto its own space station to remove any edits to New Atlantis; in the mean time, there's a temporary "no hq" patch that removes the changes to new atlantis and moves all of the ship parts to a kiosk in the spaceport
I deleted my entire gane data and im starting a new character ima reload my mkds list and remove the falklands also creatigs was showijg only 8% total used for the games mod capacity limit

I fixed that by uninstalling the creation, backing out to the main menu, and reinstalling it from scratch! Updating normally seems to pull either outdated or corrupt files on occasion, it's been reported already

Anyone know of a console command that can add cruise mode? Uninstalling Darkstar completely destroyed it and it doesn’t function anymore
you should never uninstall a mod mid-save, particularly a large and far-reaching mod like Darkstar.
I do had to though it was the mod that destroyed all my sound I had no audio of footsteps guns engines etc
Went through 50 mods and Darkstar was the issue
unfortunately, removing darkstar mid-save will wreck any future saves using that. you either have to go back to a save before you added darkstar, or you need to reinstall darkstar and go back to a save before you removed it.
It's something to be expected by removing any mod mid-save. The absolute safest way is to start a new game, or have a dedicated character to test mods on before you commit to them.

Well I've spent the better part of too many weeks trying to hunt down a guide for a load order and found bits and pieces but the general notion was because everyone has different mods there isn't a specific order there is a general sense though

My advice is trail and error. The only way to truly mod is to understand how it works otherwise if you ever have an issue you'll have no idea how to fix it
i mean i understand the basic premis, this isnt my first rodeo, skyrim was a bit more straightforward than starfield in my opinion
Of course on console is a whole other mess, where figuring things out is a nightmare. Modding is like 90% of the reason I went pc after years and years of console
The way the loader works is what's lowest gets priority and overrides
So generally you put Bethesda official stuff at the top and I also like to put the big stuff up there too like Kinggath stuff, vigilance etc..
Then overhauls
New perks/changes to perks
UI stuff
Cheaty stuff
Graphical improvements (for like items not weather)
Enemy spacesuits/outfits
Friendlys spacesuits/outfits
Vasco
Followers outfits
Outpost/build additions
Weapons
Ship parts (I have the ones that add habs first then engines and stuff second)
Patches for weapons
Patches for ships
Lighting and weather
Everything that states at the bottom
its def an incentive lol

It's less about being exact with where they go more about grouping for your own organisation and keeping in mind that the the lower it is the more it's prioritised

Does anyone know what specific element in the Creation Kit determines the Player's voice (grunts from taking damage, melee, etc.)? In game the only thing that affects it is the pronoun selection, and unfortunately they designed it so that choosing they/them gives you the female voice type.
I spent quite a while trying to make a plugin to force the male voice type or add a script that lets you pick which one you want to use but nothing I tried changed the sounds in game. If anyone has any knowledge of it I'd love to get an idea of how I can fix this problem.

Look up failed usually indicates that your download didn't get all the files, its a common problem with creations so its best to fully delete and reinstall rather than update a creation
well thats gonna be alot to delete and reinstall. everything works tho, i think its linked to perks, because thats where it says it

OK, just been googling load order and how to do it and I'm a bit confused. I read the load order goes from top down. I would think this means I put the most important mods at the top then, but from what I'm reading it says to put patches and similar ones at the top, but then all the high priority/bigger game changing mods at the bottom since the bottom over writes the ones above them.
I watched a load order video and I've been trying to sort it according to what it recommended, but not sure anymore what to put at the top or the bottom. Based on the list from the video, would I want the load order to look something like this, going from the bottom of the list to the top?

Base Game Content (not necessarily including bgs creations)
Bug Fixes
Everything Else
And in everything else you look for conflicts of any kind. There are some "hard" conflicts like mods changing the same records. You always load the mod last that should win the conflict. And some "soft" conflicts like mods just not playing nice in a specific order. Watchtower for example should be loaded after Falkland, even though there is no "hard" conflict between the two.
All the other grouping of stuff is for convenience when looking at your LO.
I mean when you get an idea for it you just organise it second nature
And of course masters are always loaded before the mod that requires them, but the game does that by itself if you dont do it. Its simply not possible to load a master after the plugin that requires it.

can't right now, the rest doesn't work, and m8r is nowhere to be found at the moment
after six hours of trying to do this, I am giving up. I tried a script, changing the flags on the PlayerVoiceTypes, messing with DialogueGenericPlayer, but it is beyond me. If anyone more familiar with Starfield modding ever takes a peak at this issue as a challenge I would be extremely grateful, but I cannot find anything in the CK that controls the player effort sounds so it seems that you have no choice but to use the female voice type if you use the they/them option in the character creator.

I've ported outpost and shipbuilder as they're MOSTLY good for XBox/PS5.. but I really need M8R to get involved as everything is closed source for the scripting inside, and only he has the source code.
Even if I could hack it, the only tool for decompiling action script is UUUUUUUGGGGGLLLLLLY and then i couldn't recompile it after, so it'd still be broken.
So we're at the mercy of his resumption 🙂

M8R has been doing this since FO4, he often disappears for months, sometimes years at a time.. he comes back when he's ready, and then disappears again 😄

A mod is causing crashes when loading a game but to try and find it I have to go through 3 crashes to just change the mod list then load the save.

Yeah so creation menu is ultra borked on ps5, deleting mods doesn't actually delete them, game crashes when reloading files, downloading or deleting mods.

You know what I want, an addon for realfuel that adds fuel to the leveled lists for the containers in derelicts and stations so I dont get stranded

To delete reserved space on PS5, delete the game's specific save data under Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings, or remove the app entirely. To clear "Other" storage/cache, use Safe Mode > Clear Cache and Rebuild Database. Reserved space often houses game mods or cached files, which can only be cleared by deleting the associated game.

Adding new mods midgame is not always working sadly, and when you add and delete.. you create ghost fragments, that's why I add them in unity and start a ng+ and always delete the reserved space and cash when I delete something

You can add mods in an untouched cell, and not on the same planet if the mod alters it

That's what I do, I use the Unity Awaits mod to get to unity and make a save there, exit, clean everything up if I want to remove something, add, restart the Xbox, load the save and then ho through unity so that everything loads clean in ng+

Have you sorted your load order? I don't know what triggers is but if your load order is really wrong gunshots and stuff stop working properly, i had the problem while testing but not anymore.

No darkstar, unfortunately i'm not going to be a huge help. All i know is whenever i get this it's load order related and sorting things fixes it.

one of the StarUI mods has or used to make changes to the DataMenu.swf for higher FPS
and that's where the new button is, which wasn't there for me until I removed StarUI

yes, eventually! achievement friendly re-release uploads for PlayStation are currently on hold. barring that for the interim, I plan for all my creations to have full parity between platforms.
Don't use ai, it doesn't know what those mods are touching and is just guessing, it will mess up. The only actual functional way to build a load order is to do it yourself. On console this is especially pita but still better than automating it in the end
It's on purpose, shared apparel lists, he either had to include the outfits on all, include them on none, or hard edit a bunch of stuff. He picked the one he picked.

Admittedly I was curious to know if you can use assets from DLCs in Starfield for mods or if it’s not accessible to you because I haven’t seen anyone make any mods using shattered space assets or rather not as much.
I'd be surprised if you couldn't, you'd need to have the dlc as a requirement though and that might preclude it being a paid mod
I'd suggest holding off on using Falkland. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's having some issues after the new update. Most mods are.
I wish you could have nonpaid mods to be set as achievement friendly in these cases
Most mods are definitely not. UI mods and intrinity aeroworks are the only mods that are actually broken that I've seen. Everything else might not support the new features but works as it did before

I know there are already great options available on PC and Xbox (like enhanced blood textures or dismemberment mods), and it would be amazing to have that extra layer of immersion on PS5 too.

the update didn't break much & a lot of popular creations were updated on the 7th so it's not as bad as it could've been

There was a bug that was spawning X-Tech in every container but that got fixed in an update that was published on the 7th

My Copycat Duplicator is now available on PlayStation (didn't need any updates) so as long as you have 1 damage upgrade you can duplicate as many as you want from it.
Something like that requires SFSE most likely and thus wouldn't be doable on console, so it'll be on nexus if one ever happens.

Oof. I disabled everything and started a new playthrough. I'm hoping some of my quality of life mods (easy digipicks, instant temple) still work.
I've had to massively trim my load order and still has issues.
Not sure if it's a ps5 mod amount issue or not but I have to disable my dripfield mods to get through the intro as the game doesn't load. Then activate them after character creation

Always keep a hard save in an untouched cell just in case

Removed the starship mods and restarted again. I do seem to have found that the grey screen bug I showed off yesterday happens everytime if you have over 8GB of mods on PS5.

So far I've been able to 100% kreet and make it to New Atlantis with no crashes.
I've got a similar amount of mods with the Dripfield series added.
According to Reddit even vanilla people are having crashes so typical Bethesda jank on ps5 it seems. Looks like mods just increase the frequency
I do wonder if the crashes are more frequent on pro over base

especially cos modders love making stuff like, 4k sometimes
