Got it. In terms of creating the archive manually, is there a correct way to parse through all this to figure out what I need?

Not easily, the best way would probably be just to rename or move that Geometry directory temporarily, then re-bake your faces in the CK, and it will make a new Geometry directory with the ones you need.

Yeah, I also do all manually, pain but you know what's there that's for sure. You eventually get on this quick auto pilot and it just becomes second nature.

For me I never bother with the nif and usually work with the mesh files directly but that's just me.

tried using batch sanitize/remove unused strings last night and broked all my outfits.

there's nothing worse than a cluttered nif file.... it makes me so uncomfortable LOL.

I wish the SPECIAL creation actually worked with an alternate start mod. It just never turns on, never lets you reset it, and has all the values cranked ridiculously high, well above the stats it should be.

I tested it with SKK Fast Start, RYOS and Random Access Memories, as well as a vanilla game in progress. It’s just a broken paid creation unless it’s a new vanilla game.

It's pretty unusual to get completely stranded, there's a lot of different ways to get fuel - and all but 2 or 3 systems have at least one planet with helium-3 even if you can't find any ships to steal from, trade with, or loot.
I think I've gotten three reports ever of someone getting completely softlocked in a system, and then you can just turn off the mod and turn it back on when you get back to civilization lol. It won't break anything.

One fun little tip: When you dock on to derelicts, they usually have a tiny bit of fuel you can siphon.

Using More Reasons to Explore Space and docking on a derelict or destroyed station I can usually draw close to 10% fuel.

Never enough for a jump but helps recouping a chunk of loss.

lol so the District Prosecutors are new NPCs. The fem Prosecutor is voiced by one actor and the two male Prosecutors are voiced by a different actor with Pitch adjusted. The Defendants are voiced by two different voice actors. I'm not good with audio engineering at all so the reason it sounds so AI is because it's badly normalized. This is something I'm hoping to get better at over time. Also the voice actors are amateurs so they don't sound great but it's good practice and money for them.

The nifs look like they're scaled correctly in Nifskope, but no matter what I try in the CK--attaching to the various scaled nifs, scaling in render window, etc.--I just can't get the parts to scale differently in the game. The "NPC Clothing and Inventory Control" has basically stopped working me. It still works but when I hit an NPC with the dagger, it counts as a hit and they get aggro and I get a bounty. I can still edit their inventory if I talk to them fast enough but like I said I get a bounty and an enemy. Any help? I have tried dropping and picking up the dagger, reloading, resetting, fast traveling away and back, disabling and reenabling the mod. And every other normal mod fixing trick I can think of. I even tried removing my skills that affected my melee and unarmed attacks. But nothing.

Texture wise no overlap, that mod uses mesh replaces iirc, whichever is lower in the load order may take precedent. My mod doesn't overwrite habs and such, so it shouldn't be too jarring and you'll primarily see a few gold accents in Stroud and red in Taiyo. 👍

Very unpopular and derisive opinion here, but I think FO4 mods had more of an “edge” to them coming out of the gate. I’m not sure if Beth were more lenient back then or what.

So, I did a quick search and didn't find anyone else with this issue. I just installed Forgotten Frontiers 1 & 2 by @summer bay and started a new game. My game kept stuttering / micro freezing in a way I have not experienced before. I spent a long time troubleshooting (more than I care to admit!) and finally discovered that Forgotten Frontiers 2 was the cause of the micro freezes. The errors first started manifesting during character creation, which is one reason it took so long for me to disable this mod. This persisted through three new games as I began the troubleshooting process. In the character creation screen, I would get weird graphical glitches and changing sliders would take a long time to load the changes. Then I would experience audio desynchs and the stuttering/freezing I mentioned earlier. I have no idea why; it makes no sense to me; I never even finished the first mission on Vectera. After removing (disabling) the mod, the stutters/freezes were gone. I reenabled my other mods, tested some more. No issues. I then started another new game with all my mods except FF2 just now to verify. I don't use a ton of creations or mods, (a total of around 50 plugins including the game, creations, and a handful of Nexus mods) but I could provide a list of what I do use if that would be in any way helpful to anyone.

Thanks for the info and I'm very sorry Forgotten Frontiers 2 is causing any issues for you. I have only had two reports of stuttering caused by FF2. I personally play with FF1 and FF2 and the only issue is the occasional trash that is spawned by FF2. I am looking into this and trying my best to fix it and will be looking more into the stuttering issue. Again I am terribly sorry and hope to have it fixed. If you are dissatisfied or the mod is not working I encourage you to reach out and get your Creation Credits refunded, the last thing I want is people playing with a mod that's causing issues.

Random question to any modder. Is it possible to set character heights to your own character as well as companions? For instance, my character is 5’9 and I picture Sam being 6’2. Is there a universal scale to make some characters tall and some short? Asking for a friend.

For Xbox, I don't think so...For PC I recall there being an engine fix to stop the player scale constantly be reset, so should be possible!

Afaik there's no load order beyond "wherever you put skin mods". But is important to note that it is only for the Starborn armors so if you don't have one yet it won't show. Found my first of the PoIs in Old Secrets today. They’re definitely very rare but interesting. Really neat how ||the hardened PoI has the same strange creatures you see in the Crater 87 creation.||

I have added some lore on the research computer in the basement that connects the stories of both mods. It is just a hint.

Also yeah it’s on the default “rare spawn” rate. I didn’t find any until level 35 with an around 40% xp gain rate buff, so that long. Funny enough I found 2 hardeneds on the same planet

About 20 hours playtime before one spawned. Can vary from person to person I imagine but that was me for my playthrough.

Yup. Wasn’t planet hopping to find them but checked each planet whenever I went to a system at least.

It is set to appear once per landing zone, however no limit on the amount of times per planet. Because I am not sure if the "once per planet" refreshes at some point, and I do not want players to eventually run out of opportunities to find a POI.

Also I am not sure if a player lands somewhere and never gets near the POI, if that counts as it spawning. The underlying system can be a cryptic

Like I said I didn’t try and look too hard. Sure it’d be much faster if I actually picked my own landing zones instead of following the marked ones on the starmap but still.

No just the one, but I found it twice.

There is 2 types of specific loot, one is the research data and the other is the documents.

In this mod I hid the better loot in slightly out of view places.

It has always been a fun thing when playing bethesda games to sift through loot.
