I had this issue last week after I was forced to reinstall my OS on my Xbox. I couldn't access Creations while the box was connected to my network wirelessly. Once I hardwired the box, I had access again.
Bro I got like 300 mods installed, wish me luck, gonna need it

Usually UI mods are pretty obvious. Most other regular mods aren't going to have a reason to touch the UI.
It's certainly strange but it got me off my ass to finally run some CAT 7 to my livingroom lol
Got a mod that adds the Millennium Falcon. The outside of the ship is exact though the inside is still made from vanilla habs
For you though, it's probably a bad mod since you haven't reloaded Windows recently.

Maybe then lol. My Xbox was fine on wireless for the past number of years until I did a fresh install of the OS and then I started having the network issue with Creations.
I just assumed that you haven't loaded Windows lately but then, I guess you did. Hopefully the test works for you then.

Are there any mods that could allow me to add crafting stations to a prebuilt ships. The ship I downloaded can’t be modified from the outside.
Can you not just build it from the decorate menu? (hit F, then R inside the ship)
Yes. I even made sure all the materials were on my person, also leveled geology and research to max. All though I did use CC to level up the skills… maybe that is a possible issue?
I'm pretty sure a mod is causing an issue I'm having. All the vendors in the public Neon Worldspace don't respond to interaction, but in interior space shops they do. anyone else encountered this?

Did BGS change where builders material can be stored? I just built a greenhouse for the first time since last winter and I can't use a storage crate anymore for the product lol

Question: Does Xbox have console commands? I realize accessing them would be a challenge without the right tools. Given that PC has consol commands, and I do not have an Xbox to look at, I figured I'd ask.
Is it just me or have mods slowed down on release with shattered space?
It doesn't, and the script commands that can also be used to trigger console commands do nothing on Xbox builds either.
Lots of people are hitting the mod limit, which gets fixed in 9 days time. Why release now, when users are going to blame your mod for other things breaking when you could release after Shattered Space when that's fixed.

There's a bug, it's limiting the number of mods to somewhere around 80-120 (the exact number depends on the mods and your load order). You're likely just under it at 90, but only just. But it's been fixed in the PC beta already, which will go live for everyone with the Shattered Space release.

You'll be able to download them, but things will randomly not appear in your game. And depending on your load order, it might be things totally unrelated to the mod. The most common one (which you'll see mentioned often if you search) is invisible ships.
But it's fixed in 9 days, so 🤷
Hmm. I had some invisible pieces when matilija released v4 but entire ships missing? That sounds aweful and funny depending on where it's happening. I've been a bit deep on space marine 2 so I hadn't been paying attention in here
In the next update coming - the 255 limit - is supposed to be resolved. Apparently the 255 mod limit is a remnant of the original program used to make Starfield and other Bethesda Games. So they had to adjust other games and this update will get those same fixes. No idea why its taken this long to fix <shrug>
Does updating mods still not actually update them? You still need to delete and redownload?
I will only state what I see. the Update every time you login is bogus. Bethesda has been notified numerous times. Apparently it is low on the fix list. If you have problems you can update your Creations mods. But you do not need to update every single log in. My Creations mod by Bethesda for Trackers Alliance: The Vulture. Every time a look says it needs an update - but the Version is constantly Version 1.0 It does not need an update. Its always worked and I have not updated it for 2 months now.

Nothing that would be persistent after you close the menu AFAIK. You can do it with ini files on PC, but you probably can't read loose files via ActionScript3 on Xbox because the file system is locked down and mods are shipped inside of .ba2 archives

Is the mods load order have an effect on all the active mods ? Because I have a lot of spaceships mod but while I'm building a new by 0 I can't see all the habs

Short answer, yes. If you have two mods that edit the same data, to the best of my knowledge, the one below in the load order will overwrite the one above it.
I think my crew is dumb. I got two separate habs keeping "lodging" and "business" apart and they refuse to sandbox outside and to the other side. They all prefer to stand in a corner

NPC AI isn't the greatest. May want to try leaving the map and returning. May respawn in different areas.

Gurl. I gave up trying to get them to cooperate with your homes. I was using a robot to see if they'd sandbox in them and they will but once they step foot outside they freeze

Just go in game to your saves and load a save that doesn't have a flag.

Go into load on main menu, B to select character, Show All Saves -- you may have an older save that isn't flagged.

I woud suggest enabeling them one at a time. then yu can see first hand which one(s) are causing issues. May take forever depending on how many tou are loding lol

How to make custom standalone weapon sounds STANDALONE from vanilla weapon sounds for a STANDALONE weapon SEPARATE from the vanilla weapons?
I'm trying to make a DMR mod from Halo into Starfield, and want to use the sound effects that are standalone and non-conflicting to the other weapon sounds.

I just had tht issue on PC, but someone said they were having said issue yesterday
I have been playing super stable for quite a while and then "updates" to some mods showed up so I saved my load order to Bethesda and updated and when I went to restore my load order from Bethesda after updating halfway through it stops and tells me cannot connect to Bethesda and now when I close out and go back to creations it won't load all the game data so I can't even download everything manually and order it myself
I think they said they fixed it by updating their OS

Seems like he is running a modded xbox but I don't have the option to hardwire but internet works for everything else on my xbox I can download other games and play online games

I'm running an unmodded Series X which has an ethernet port on the back. Last week I had issues with my OS so I dumped it and reloaded a fresh copy. You can do that right from the settings menu.
I'm going on 20 minutes of sitting at the creations menu saying reloading at the tip and can't do jack
Does that remove all your games and data as well?
You have a choice to keep your settings and games or wipe it completely.

You'll have to reload all of your mods though because it deletes the game reserve file

Yeah But I've had no issues with creations until very recently last night it said I needed to update 4 mods and when I did it deleted one mod but left a weird .ini file in it's place and then I couldn't load my order from Bethesda it just kept saying can't connect after half downloading my list
It's very likely a BGS issue like you guys said
And if I delete my modspace in the game files and try and reload the list it just glitches half way through again and doesn't even put the ones it does download in the right order so I'm think it's definitely a BGS issue

I have run into an interesting issue. A mod I'm not sure of is messing with my ships module limit size. Can I just ask anyone making ship mods to check their module limits? and can we agree on just using whatever the max edit is? That way yall aren't overwriting eachother.

Does the window on CK show a path for the files that are showing up? I only ask because I had to add in teh folders for a mesh file I downloaded to match teh file path in CK before it showed up.

@surreal storm How does your Tiny Reasons to Explore mod interact with the Desolation POI overhaul mod? Does the density of your ‘unmarked POIs’ follow the logic of the mod or the base game?
I'm frustrated with NPC deployment at modded outposts. I hired a security officer and a doctor and they wander off immediately after spawning even though I have crew anchors in the places I'd like them to hangout. Part of the issue is that when you leave your base and come back, everyone spawns at the beacon and then disperses wherever. The other issue is that most modded habs aren't nav meshed (from my experience) so the NPCs can't enter or even get to where they are supposed to be. They love to hang out under the habs though. Boooooo.
I found my doctor giving my ship an exam as well lol.
Even some vanilla habs have a broken navmesh, like Hydroponics Hab B.
Oddly enough, I just found both of my NPC hanging out in the WC in each of the habs they are assigned. Strange behaviour indeed lol
Maybe I'll just replace both with robots until better NPC can be developed/modded.

Alright. Would you consider exploring the possibility of creating a compatibility patch? Desolation really helps sell the feeling of exploring ‘new worlds’ untouched by humans; your unmarked locations would help make the variety more interesting but it would break the sense of exploring virgin territory if sparsely or altogether unpopulated planets still have random human clutter spewn about.

There’s something weird with outpost habs and navmesh, because these habs are all navmeshed and it’s still happening. I’ve been trying to figure out why and I just can’t figure out out for the life in me
I was working on adding some NPCs to the Argos outpost mod I’m working on, every time they travel to underneath the hab.
I’ve seen reports from people from before mods where in the vanilla habs if the doorway was widened to NPCs couldn’t go through them any more, I’ve had issues with the vanilla game where they teleport to certain locations and then vanish but can’t walk between certain habs
Yeah, that's exactly what I've observed. Here's Sophia after being told to walk between two Hydroponics Hab B's. She can walk to the corners, but can't even get near the doorway between the habs. Just gets to the edge of that central square area and spins in place.
It's not the wide doorways in general though. Join two of the large round habs with widened doorways and they can move between those without any problems.
I'm just trying to get my NPCs to stay in their "assigned" locations. I have a security officer who hides in the bathroom and most of them disappear underneath the habs if I leave the outpost and return. I just recruited Rosie to be my new doctor and she's spending her day swimming in the ponds lol. All of my habs are connected by catwalks so NPCs have a real hard time with them. I'm be happy if they'd just stayed put where they're originally placed 😄 Actually though, so far my ship tech is staying put at his location.
@sly ocean Sorry to ping you but I'm having an issue with "Erase NPCs". No matter what I do, I can't get the ring box to appear at the lodge.
I hear you, I’m not sure it’s currently possible. I’ve even equipped custom NPCs with travel packages for specific furniture in specific habs, and they still end up underneath the hab. Admittedly near the location, but always outside

This is the outpost pretty much completed, infrastructure wise. I have a logistics building, ops center, medical bay and power plant. Now onto the decorations inside the living habs.

So my game saves are all being corrupted. I can load a save and make a save, but any of the new saves are corrupt, taking forever to load up and will ctd when trying to make a new save from them.
- Unity trips with every mod configuration.
- Removing all mods and unity trip with vanilla
- Turning off cloud saves
- Turning off auto saves
- Cleared cache
- Deleted and completely reinstalled game
- Started entirely New character but same issue, can load a s
What else can I try, or is it time to just give up?
If it were me, I'd uninstall the game with REVO Uninstaller and make sure there were no left over files or registry artifacts (Bolded entries). Possibly try a virus scan afterwards to rule out any malicious software. Reboot for good measure before reinstalling the game.
Hey, folks, whenever I simply open the Creation Kit I get 35 warnings--this is before selecting an active file. When I select a fairly small mod I've been working on and set it as my active file, I get over 1,500 warnings. Is this normal or cause for alarm?
(I should note, the mod seems to work fine in testing)
From my admitedly limited experience, its the warnings listed in red that are the ones to address. From what I've read from the warnings not in red, they seem more like alerts and information rather than critical issues.
Okay, thank you. I'll have to take a look at the red ones. I'm completely new at this, so I doubt I'll have any idea how to address them, but that might at least narrow it down.

I wouldn't just copy something of theirs outright but I'd make something custom, 30% deviation from original IP. I don't condone ripping outright but somethings that are very much linked with nostalgia aesthetic come under IP categorization conflict (think Y2K/1980s vaporwave etc...)
Palworld in it's gameplay didn't seem like a Pokemon rip off, so much as the fact you tame creatures. You can't own an idea, but I did see that some of their designs are like 90% traced and then recolored so... RIP 💀

I need help tracking down the origin of a mod bug and im hoping someone encountered this. If I remove my boostpack somehow I can boost normally without any pack at all but when i put on a boostpack it consumes all energy like a powerpack but boosts me almost not at all, just a tiny lift. This is universal with mod added packs and vanilla.

anyone knows what to do when a mod that adds habs has the following issue :
- habs shown on the list in ship builder
- module does not appear on the grid

Sounds like it's an issue with models, Materials and or textures. There is nothing that can be done, the author will have to fix it.

You would have to have the original models, materials and or textures. You can try to remake it, but why not just make your own at that point.
Invisible objects is usually an issue with model, global object, or there's an issue with the material path.
I don't do ships so, I'm not 100% on the issues.

modules are in the list yes, but on the grid, there are only the attaching points visible (also in CK), when I want to switch do the next version of the hab, the game crash

Game crashes because geometry is jacked probably... idk about this one. I would just find something else.

I'm working on a mod that needs to be able to dynamically adjust the keywords associated with ship vendors. For normal vendors, its easy - they are Actor records, which inherits ObjectReference so there are APIs for add/remove/reset keywords on ObjectReference. Problem is some ship vendors are created by using PlaceAtMe on an ActorBase. The best approach would be to alter the keywords on the ActorBase, but there do not seem to be any APIs for doing that. Next approach is to enumerate all the Actor's that were created from a particular ActorBase and use the add/remove/reset keyword APIs on them - but I cannot find any APIs that allow me to enumerate all Actors that were created from a particular ActorBase. The engine must keep track of the constructed Actors because ActorBase has a 'GetDeadCount' API, so it must be able to find all Actors that use that ActorBase - but I cannot find any API that allows a mod to enumerate all such Actors.
Does anyone know if any of the APIs exist? Any thoughts on how else I might change the keywords associated with all Actor's created from a given ActorBase?

All the lighting mods that exist are on nexus and not on creations

@safe sorrel I was thinking a bit last night about why NPC hang around under habs. I think what happens is: When we leave the oupost and fast travel back, everyone and everything spawns at your beacon as usual. Unfortunately, most habs are elevated while the beacon is typically on solid ground, therefore the NPC returns to their aproximate location but they cannot access the hab itself because it's up in the air.
I did some testing with a follower today and they ran all over the place trying to get to where I was. Trouble was, they cannot access my elevated catwalks easily. Eventually they spawned inside the hab I was in but it took a very long time. The regular NPC bots can't even do that so they are stuck wandering around underneath everything. Hopefully BGS can improve NPC behaviour and have them sandbox only inside habs or allow us to plot boundries to confine them to a strict area if they're outside. Or stop them from all spawning as a group at the beacon lol.
Yeah that’s what I thought too, I had one where they began to climb the stairs of the airlock and I was so excited, but that ended up being a one off moment of genius
They went back to their smoke break spot under the hab again next time I went back
is it possible to take element from an ESM file and copy them in another ESM file ? like transfer data from one to another ?

Did you install on different drive than game?
SSCE5564.DLL is an primary file of Starfield. sl.interposer.dll is the Nvidia Streamline Production. So you have two separate issues. Reinstall or update you Nvidia driver. The other seems to indicate you have steam. In steam find starfield. You going to do a file integrity check. If it finds issues it repairs starfield.
If you do not have steam. You may need to uninstall and reinstall Starfield to fix this primary file.
A file integrity check may not be enough though. You may end up needing to fully uninstall and then reinstall the game.
I just had to do that with the CK the other day because it somehow lost track of the DLSS libraries and the Steam API file. Revalidating didn't fix that.
True - its irritating that once in a while - all platforms - some of the Starfield files corrupt. It was a lot worse 6 months ago and back.
No it was installed on a different drive I did not know they needed to be installed in the base game directory

Hello all, so I just ran into a problem, I have like a billion.l credits but when I go tonight my something it says I don't have enough credits for something that's like 700 credits
I don't think thr games knows how money works
So a few mods had updates but now my game crashes after I exit the creations page. Is that normal
I found a reddit saying if you have to many credits it does this.
I'm on console so I don't know how how to remove credits. I can't buy from vendors

The game often crashes after leaving the creations page. However, you need to restart your game anyway after doing any alterations to your mods. Also, make sure your load order is correct as well before loading the save. Not sure on methods for removing credits aside from going to Unity/NG+.
There’s no way unfortunately. Happened to me and I had to go to another Universe. I guess you could try to buy and resell ships since the game still lets you do that but with a max number of ships and the percent trade ins go for it could be a slog.
You can offer to send Adrian Brasilia in New Homestead to college if you've not gone through that dialogue already, I think that takes 20,000 credits.
There is a single mom in Cydonia you can donate credtis to as well.
Could be an option as well for a credit sink.
Love the lux ship habs, hate that their hard to work with sue to the unusual sizes.
I don't know of any APIs, but I wondered if something like player.FindAllReferencesOfType(types,radius) could be leveraged? If you build a formlist with Actor forms (the 'types' param) . Maybe on Cell Load event you scan with radius of half the cell width you could collect all the actor refs and then check for vendor keyword add your new keywords? It is cumbersome, but probably not performance-killing.

I am working on decorating my custom hab in CK and so far, all the various glasses, bottles, armor, etc.. that I have placed in various places don't show up in game. My gun cases, furniture, and other stuff show up, but the 'loot' items just aren't showing up. I feel like it's something silly I am missing, usually is. Any ideas? .. Oh, and the keywords match the items in the standard habs, and I have even copied some mugs and food from one of the standard habs to my custom hab and that didn't make any difference.
Its a good thought, but in my case the changes to the Actor records happen in response to a Game Play Option, so there is no notion of proximity to anything.
As far as I can tell, I just have to make my own home-brew notification system for creating/deleting actors on a given actorbase. This happens in a specific Activator form, so I think I will just overwrite the form with one that uses a modified script that will call back to my quest to tell me when actors are created/deleted. Would have been nice if one could subscribe for create/delete actions on an ActorBase, but there's nothing like that built into the engine that I can find.

@sly ocean Sorry to ping ya. I noticed that with Recruit Anyone as Ship Crew some NPCs (like Anna Imani and her son or Adrian Brasilia) stop talking after they're assigned to an outpost. Pressing "A" to talk doesn't do anything or prompt a generic dialogue response. It's also like that if you unassign them and try to talk to them again at their original location. The "A" button press doesn't register. Is that the location locked dialogue issue mentioned in the description or something else?
what is the difference between a group and a packin? I learned so far that a packin can not be edited without affecting every instance of the packin the game.
Is that the same for groups? I am copying the moving platform example from the game and the elevator is a group of objects. I wonder how to

to edit an item in the group, right click on it and hit edit. If you've gotten the right item, it should blink for a moment while the edit window comes up. If you're wanting to material swap it, close the edit window, right click again, and select Material Swap.

if you want to edit a packin, I think the usual is to either un-pack it in the render window, or make a copy of the packin in the object window and then edit the copy in the render window before putting where you want it
Finally started using matillijas aerospace mod and built my ud-4 cheyenne dropship. The parts available are amazing and I'm loving this mod. However... now Sam and his daughter can sense each other through floor and ceiling 🤣 🤣 They were staring at each other for a good hour like this. It was almost creepy.
At first I thought Sam fell asleep in the chair haha but then he stood up and it got weird lol. Went down stairs and found his daughter also being weird.

Hi guys. Is there a script command in CK that puts an item in the inventory of a home ship? Something like Game.GetPlayer().AddItem().
Player.additem works in game, drops items right in inventory.

That's not exactly what I meant. I am studying the Creation Kit and have created a test dialogue with an NPC. I want to get an item through this dialog. I managed to put an item in the player's inventory (using the command "Game.GetPlayer().AddItem()"), but I haven't figured out how to put it in the ship's inventory yet.
So far I've found the "missioncargoparentscript" script and I'm trying to figure it out.

Possibly UI mods too as Bethesda loves to tinker with those flash files and many mod authors don't recompile their flash mods until someone notices that something has broken.

Moving items into the ship container is an easy task, create a location alias for the current player ship (SQ_PlayerShip "Aliases for the Player's Current Ship" [QUST:000174A2]) and then a reference alias filled via ref type, the ship container has a special ref type Ship_Container_RefType

That is generally considered a bad idea, at least in my experience with previous games, as it will cause some havoc with scripts that point to suddenly changed/disappeared forms, unless the mods are designed very specifically to be "uninstalled" (variable/property dereferencing in scripts, etc.) and even then the possibility of broken things is there
Theoretically none if weapon damage values or other such records are changed, but that doesn't mean a vanilla or mod added script hasn't grabbed onto a formid or data that might no longer exist
is it still viewed as correct that NG+ is essentially a save file cleaner upper?

Starfield's NG+ is particularly unique in gaming.

Papyrus scripting: TerminalMenu appears to run asynchronously on Activate(). Any way to prevent that, or catch the menu exit event? (This is for a custom TerminalMenu instance and RegisterForMenuOpenCloseEvent() doesn't appear to work.
Yes i have the same issues. The content of the Creations page is sporadically unavailable. As a result, the upload in the CK doesn't work either. On the website, the mods are briefly displayed to me, and shortly after, it says that no data could be loaded
Yeah its speratic for me. I managed to upload but sometimes the stats are up to date and other times its showing 0 for all stats. Fortunatly my testing has been successful for me. Just have to wait until Bethesda fixes their servers I guess. Might do something different and actually PLAY Starfield for now lol.

Yes ideally. Performance adjustments need to be made for XB release but I’ve been approved for BGS verified program so it will come to XB after it’s more polished.
In the meantime it is currently available for PC on nexus.
I just logged in no issues. I am Desktop/Steam. But Bethesda Servers are listed as the Creation tab for all of us.
It would be easier of Bethesda listed Starfield Servers on the Server Status pages. There are 80 reports listed of unable to run Starfield. in the last hour.
Hey guys, starborn will constantly harass me and building an armillary at an outpost puts my ship in the unity

how do I get the starborn to leave me the christ alone?
Go throught the Unity ^^
if you build an armillary on your outpost, they will attack it
if you build it on your ship, you'll go to Unity
if you keep the artifacts in your inventory, you will encounter starborn ships while travelling in space
if I build it on my outpost, I go through the unity.
and when I exited the unity, starborn appeared immediately
whut ? you go to unity via your ship or via the armillary ? (I never built an armillary in my outposts ^^)
put unity at outpost --> take off in ship --> ship goes into unity --> I leave, starborn harass me
put unity at ship --> ship goes to unity --> I leave, starborn harass me
do nothing --> starborn harass me
yes, the only solution is to start a NG+ ^^
this is my third NG and this happened all previous NGs.

I got tired of the Starborn stalking me, so now, if/when I go through the unity, I just don't bother collecting artifacts anymore. Problem solved.

use the cheat terminal. There is a configuration tab for outpost and it lets you set essentially any number of landing pads and any number of crew stations and mannequins, robots, turrets

I get around that by. Opening a outpost on the edge of the existing one. Plopping a shipbuilder. Its closer than I first thought it would be. Works great.
While there is a mod to expand the size of the Outpost. It does not allow an extra shipbuilder platform inside.
Thanks for that! Unfortunately my outpost boundaries are pushed way out. I was looking at placing one right beside my existing one. After some thought though, I may just stick with the one pad anyway. I could also remove the small pad and replace it but that would mean reworking the catwalk and workshops I have in place already

How much different CK 2 is compared 1? since I mostly see new skins and stuff coming out daily but nothing "bigger"?
not sure what you're asking here but I'll try lol. Mostly, lots of difference. Skyrim/FO4 creation wikis are good for clues but not much else - most creators are stumbling around trying to figure out how any of this works.
Then you have the fact that skins are mostly texture changes, which depending on free time/ skill/ complexity can be done faster than "bigger" stuff like POIs, quests, new ship parts etc
Until I started making Starfield stuff, I hadn't done a mod since like, 2012 or 2013, for Skyrim. The CK is already waaaaay different from that. Before that, I'd only modded for Morrowind, and the Construction Set only superficially has a resemblance to either CK.

I need help, I want to edit a nif file that I extracted from starfield ba2 files, I would like to use Blender (first tile ever), I've installed the nif tool to be able to open nif files, but when I want to import the nif file I want to modify, blender tells me that I must setup my assets folder before, and I don't know how. I searched for tutorials but they didn't help me with nif files ^^'
In Edit > Preferences, under Add-Ons, you find the one for Starfield Geometry Bridge. There'll be a part that says "Assets Folder Path" and iirc you point this to wherever? The posts in the Nexus forum for the Bridge has some good help: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4360?tab=posts

I wanna give the modders here a resounding pat on the back, or head whichever is preferable. I already somewhat enjoyed the game but you guys have made it so that every new playthrough truly feels unique. I can't wait for all the big story mods to come out.. but those take yeeeears to make.
So i stepped away from modding Starfield for a break and after coming back, i gotta say, the desire to mod just isn't there. I have a full time job and modders are releasing the same stuff, so i think my decor modding is done. I graduated high school almost 20yrs ago, i'm not competing with full time modders. They can have the 674 item requests i got, the DMs about compatibility issues and the non stop complaints about ID limits.
Well at least the ID limits will be gone once the beta is over.

@twin atlas thank you very much for reaching out. That video is what drew me to the mod. The space battles are unbelievable and I won't go into spoilers. But you go through different battle and you retrieve keys to a specific doors that will eventually get to a lair similar to the mantis. My problem is I finished a major battles and was to get a key from one of the destroyed ships. I grab the key from the wreckage and go to open the door but I'm told I don't have it. Again thanks 😊
That isn't an option as of yet. The update tomorrow should fix that.

Beta overwrites the Starfield install. You can then reinstall the current SF and re-writes over Starfield.

This might be my first time playing a Bethesda game right after a DLC release, so do we expect most mods to break until updated?
SFSE will break, and any mods that require it, until updated. Most regular plugins will probably be fine. As long as there are no surprise mesh updates or anything, outfits etc. should work. UI mods will depend on what changes have been made, Bethesda likes to mess with those files.

The easiest way would be to use xEdit, you can just go through the records and check there aren't new "different from master" fields highlighted. xEdit is great for that.
And yes, check for conflicts with the new esm as well.

Then check the xedit-builds channel there.
Remember to rename xedit64.exe to sf1edit.exe, otherwise it will look for Fallout 4 instead of Starfield.

May have been answered here already but SFSE and the mods that require them are not working correct? Did a fully fresh install for the DLC but still have quite a few mods I'd like to re-add
SFSE hasn't been updated yet.
SFSE has to be updated every single time the game gets an update, quite a few creations are like that as well
It normally takes around 3 days for the SFSE update to get pushed
be prepared to have that question be asked for the next 3 days
Haven't seen any discussion on this yet..anyone else notice ALL mods are marked as Achievement Friendly on Creations now? Bug or hrm? I had Starfield Achievement Enabler still loaded. As an effect, it makes all mods appear Achievement Friendly in Creations now.
Is anyone able to work in any of the City cells functionally? I bought the minimum recommended system, 32g ram, 8g video, but it just couldn’t handle them so I took the PC back and now I’m searching for one again. I want to make sure what I get will work though so for those that can successfully work in a city cell, what are you using? ( I know they can be slow, but I couldn’t even load them )
I haven't done any serious work in cities but I have poked around them in the CK. PC with 32GB ram, 24GB VRAM. Might be the VRAM that limited you.
My PC has an RTX 3070 and an i7-8700, and with rivatuner statistics server i could see that i was being bottlenecked by my CPU in cities, probably because of the amount of actors
anywhere else though i get a solid 60 FPS at 1080p at all high settings and with DLSS on auto
next time you should probably install afterburner so you can use rivatuner to see what's limiting you

The CK is definitely a memory hog but for me it tops out around 20GB for system memory. I've never checked it for VRAM usage.

The Size CK needs depends on how many windows it uses for your project. I have 32 GIG ram. CK runs fine for me so far.
I keep mine pretty small. I typically only had one render window open at a time. The cities took about 10 min to load, and if I moved more that a couple meters, it started reloading again and took a while. It wasn't functional at all. I don't really want to mess around with editing any cities, but want the ability.
How much Vram do you have? I had 32gb RAM, 8gb Vram
i'm using an RTX 3070 which has 8 GB of VRAM
most new production cards will have 12 or 16 and top of the line consumer-grade cards have 24
If I can a system with 64GB ram, 16Vram, 2TB SSD, that won't break the bank, that's probably what I will get.
they do make GPUs with more than 24 GB of VRAM but they're really expensive and are for professional applications like data science
i'm not sure how economical it is nowadays to buy a prebuilt sytem over buying the parts and building the PC yourself
the semiconductor shortage messed everything up to where there was a point that people were buying prebuilt PCs just to get the GPUs out of them since it was less expensive than buying the GPU alone
Im RTX 4070 Super, My Virtual is 63.2 GIG , 32 Gig Pagefile, My Vram says 11999 mb. I got this desktop at Best Buy. It came with 16 MB Ram so I upgraded that to 32 Gig.
That sounds fine. I use an external 5 TB SSD to put my work on. They have come down on price a lot this year.

@surreal storm Hey, I have a suggestion for your Pocket Dimension mod. Since the Dimensional Controller essentially uses a weapon slot, maybe you could use the model of the Probe Control Unit from the mission Entangled for it instead, since it is loosely gun shaped. Also, to keep with lore a bit, put a requirement on crafting it for that mission, such as 'Learn to Attune the Dimensional Controller' which waits for the completion of the mission Entangled first (or more finely, the point in the mission when you become able to control the distortions.)

@timid temple hey there, out of curiosity does your gravis suit/starborn suit skins work alongside any modular starborn/gravis suit mods?
I've been told that at minimum, the original Stellar Skins will work with TN's Modular Starborn Suits. In theory then Gravis should too? TBH it's not something I've tested since I don't use those mods.

why do Starfield mods like this which scale enemies always insist that they have to scale indefinitely to match your character level? Does that make any sense? Don't you have nearly all of your player power at level 100?
If enemies keep scaling forever then they'll keep getting stronger, but your 500th player level doesn't add any power does it? Won't they just outscale you then?

This is a minor point, but I like that the CK now warns you when you make an ESM if it will overwrite an existing one. For those of us who also use xEdit etc. it's a useful extra sanity check!

@pastel root cause when I update or install ne mods with ne body mods in my load order, 1 they always has to be the very last 1 in ur load order & 2 if u install a new mod/update an existing u have to restart ur application, then keep loading ur autosaves that we're made before ur most recent quicksave/exit save

@pastel root those 2 things always work for me, I'm not a modder or nething, but my guess with my very limited knowledge of programming & what my roommate has told me about how starfield mods work, my assumption is that due to the files being loaded with things in a category that are then loaded into the full category, nething that changes nething in the body category goes first, then the body itself & my roommate is my best source of information, he said starfield doesn't use "logical load orders" & the way it handles mod programs/programs in general, u kinda have to flip things around & figure out what's causing the problem, it's a pain in the butt, but his parents made him a bethesda account shortly before/after he was born, I'm jealous honestly, he gets to do alpha testing & all this other bs, basically cause he's had an account for 20+ years

That's the neat part, you don't. You're just getting lucky or not. Overtime most the mods will have updated to be compatible with ss or updated if they're breaking

No worries the release of ss was supposed to allow for a higher mod count. If you think the mod will break your game install it alone from the rest and see if it does. Also make sure to set up your load order. That can stop your game even loading which is what I'm currently dealing with

when you pack a BA2 it replaces the previous
you'll have to edit it by completely re-packing each BA2 each time you'd like to update.
where Shattered Space is out, im wanting to do a large Character Edit. I would like to Add all of Constellation Companions into one mod.
Yea that should be as easy as just fitting it all into one BA2
the ck menu actually "usually" does a good job at generating and packing external files
So i would just need the new ESP converted to an ESM and add all the Individual Files and make them BA2, Even if there are like 60 files? lol

So hard resetting fixed it
I read Zones comments and saw that the 3, X mods add to the Loot pool so they wont be added to the Spacesuit or clothing pack, but after Zone does Ecliptic -x, i believe, Zone may do a X pack. Love Zones Mods.

Oooooo were getting some merc clothing? I'm definitely curious to see what they do there. I just started adding the clothes to my companions and whatnot (i think that broke my save because now I can't load any of them) so getting an x pack would make me happy as I've enjoyed those clothes
See @twin atlas the trick is to just not adjust something that's core... If you're changing things that are core there's going to be millions of opinions flooding in, however, if you stick to adding new you'll see a drastic drop in "personal requests."

Man I made 1 dang mistake while putting clothes on my companions and crew and now I'm having the hardest time even getting the game to load the save
I have to officially give up on this save idk if I broke it or if the game can't hang or if it's something with shattered space. I'll try a new game later and see
