Over here drowning in outpost and decoration mods
Well Bethesda could make a Star Wars only category. in Creations. That would help. But someone is having fun making the Star Wars mods.
I'm so guilty of being happy and overwhelmed by the outpost decoration mods especially since they can't be carried over in NG+

I assume it's garbo, but problem is it doesn't change much it only reorders a few of them. Like either they need an update or this is truly bethesdas "it just works" motto back at it again
I think creations flushed some of the storage. When we log in - its doing whatever it does. Some are reloaded. The constant almost everything needs an update is funny in an irritating way.
I guess I'm lucky to not experience the update issue. Could be due to how often I delete and re-download the list thanks to the saved load order. That really was a godsend and a nice quality of life bit.

A semi known issue for anyone using a controller. We can't set our active vehicle with the a button and starfield doesn't have mouse n keyboard support for xbox
So for now we need to wait for the next patch.
Yep. Creators have already gone ahead and updated any mod that was breaking with it but the issue left is just we can't set it as our active and some of us can't buy it on certain saves
We get stuck in a never ending sequence that never let's us actually buy the vehicle despite taking credits

somehing im kinda surprised and mad doesn't exist is a modular lightsaber mod. You could use the weapon modding system with it updating the model to allow you to fully customize it (like what you can do in fallen order)
Simple answer is your not the only one. And it's a bug where either Bethesda patch or a bypass around it. In mean time doesn't work.

Anything that alters starborn ships and such I have no issues at all you might have a conflict

Tbf some mods tend to break things regardless of what they do it depends on what edits have been done in those mods for example some mod for neon broke new Atlantis which had conflicts so kinda hard to know exactly what issue is but works fine for me does the ship

I disabled all my mods besides the cheat terminal and I still have the same issue. It must be an Xbox thing because I just tried it out on my PC with the same mods and it works I hate Xbox at times 😅

Even when a mod is disabled and you are on the same save you will need a fresh clean save or to go through unity to generate a fresh cell

Tell me more. I watched a CK tutorial stating adding an alias can make permanentproblems, especially if the mod was already active in an save game.

A clean save is a save you have not loaded mods on where you have loaded assets from someones mod and generate that in the cells then if you rip it out your save will break most likely 🙂
The BAKA Achievement Enabler I think for right now is PC only

It only makes it so you have achievements enabled not a clean save in the meaning of breaking your game
ALL My saves are never marked as Modded
If I install a major mod play on it for a long time disable it it will cause major issues in-game

Say you use a mod that changes environments you rip it out disable it and your environments could possibly be then screwed until you reset the cell

Creation Kit is crashing when I load asset data at startup. I use gamepass version of the game and I had CK working fine before the recent update. Any insight?

Nope I haven't made a ship in months 😅 I've been outpost building but it's all good tho it's just a ship at the end of the day

I have a perfect load order but as I said before I deleted all my mods besides the midas and cheat terminal and even went into the unity and still had the same thing. I honestly believe it's something to do with Bethesdas recent update it's kinda like how on xbox or on pc using a controller you cant activate a new vehicle if you downloaded one

I use MO2 and deleted DarkStar like 1 Aug. After the update. I had crazy stuff going on. I thought all was going to be okay. All the sudden I am standing on the cockpit chair head outside. I can see the activation to sit but not working. and lighting became real bright. I mapped to the landing pad - I was flailing - I had to tcl to resolve that. Oh and the hatch doors were grey white. Well I got to looking. I found 1 - A single DarkStar file, DarkStar_Astrodynamics-Main.ba2, in a hidden location - that even un hidden (extensions) the file explorer could not see. I found the location looking in my starfield logs - I had to paste the path to the file location. I deleted the BA2 file. when I went into Starfield. It was like wow - Starfield was very happy, my character speed was like noticeably faster. That was like yesterday.

I went through the unity last week with most of the mods I typically use. Installed the update and still no issues as yet. Most of my mods are outpost/decoration. I do use DarkStar for the landing pad too.
Honestly it's kicking my butt about the darkstar astro I haven't been able to see the parts yet and I'm not sure why. The manufacturing crashes my game every time. I think it's something with one of my weapon mods conflicting
No I just noticed after installing his mod my game crashes usually when looking at weapons. I've noticed xbox doesn't like the superior weapon tier added in

Mod request: Smaller or wall mountable mission boards for small ship interiors.
I am currently decorating a tiny ship so I only have a 1x1 hab to squeeze everything in.
I would love to see a smaller or wall mountable mission board(s) version to save some space from using the full-sized outpost kiosk.
My priority would be the Trackers Alliance bounty self-clearance board.

This is dependent on if it's a master or smaller. Master mods have limited space smaller mods you'll probably never fill up that many spots as it's sitting at 500 and 2000 respectively. @dapper galleon depending on the size of the ship it seems to be very possible to port them. I haven't looked inside the millenium falcon yet, but from what I've seen some have interiors and some dont
That's the beauty of star citizen ships we know how they look inside and most of them are the right size,
Same for the 2 mass effect ships
Star wars ships we might have to piece together from various clips and games
And making them like the guardian as one complete module could be an easier way to port them over the normal build ot yourself method (from what I've seen but I'm not a modder tho I'm thinking of trying to learn)
Oh I'm just pointing out that ships like that may not have an interior and that may have to be the compromise for you to get them. Like I also mentioned idk if the falcon has an interior but I know the fighters do not as they're purely cockpits to begin with

Oh no I mean I edited the falcon in the kit to not have weird placements and work a bit better too with its stats as the speed was way too insanely fast I used empty ship habs and have decorated the interior
but in ship builder in the kit you can create customer interiors for ship templates
So essentially I could have a pre built ship and an empty ship for those that want to build it themselves? Interesting.
Ok I think I figured out what specifically causes the Invisible people mod
If a mod specifically uses that Clothing or armor to change something it will make that specific thing invisible. For example the only armor add on I have is the Coretech armor. Which makes the Space under suit invisible
When I had the techxtile skill it made a ton of apparel invisible. I had the nomad armor it made the UC stuff act up.

I've just heard awful things about both and frankly I don't know if it's even worth having one installed
So the curvey mods stopped working, they were causing a few issues with textures not showing. But also the body mod for better female bodies stopped working, it's last in the load order as recommended but yea it doesn't work now. Maybe Bethesda is secretly messing with those mods because they don't want people making curvey bodies in the game. They want everyone to be flat
The two mods are like the Hatfields and the McCoys. You cant go on hearsay. 80% of the USFP complaints are just Artmoor haters. Best to try one for a bit. And then the other on a new play through.
Honestly I think they work fine together idk how but with the unofficial above and the community below it at the top seems to make my buggy ass game run even smoother
I'm also over here having unique bugs and experiences from yall some it's weird to be the only one with some of these issues

I don’t think they were intended to. One would overwrite the other if they altered the same things.

Precisely a mixed bag of put togethers.
The unofficial patch's scripts are from Bethesda's sources, so it's easy to see what has been changed and why, the community scripts (at least some of them) are still based on decompiled ones.
BUT the community patch is loadable in xEdit, so it's easy to see what has been changed there, and incorporate other fixes if you like.
So, benefits to each.
So then if those making the little edits go out of their way to make sure they don't collide when patching things. Theoretically they'd benefit eachother as well?
Like if someone is looking through the unofficial to make sure it's not already patched in there before patching it on the community

Well, intentionally loading two mods that you know will have plenty of clashes probably isn't the best idea.
As for the patch being loadable in xedit, that's not a patch issue. That's an xedit issue.
It just to look at what is in them. Nothing more. You cant open them in Notepad - to see what its doing.
Oh fully agree. I find that's the issue with these two, forget the hate. People are people and you don't have to like them. But when dealing with bug patches the community could be making sure they don't collide by comparing changes and notes in both mods. So I'm unsure if they truly collide or if the community is just working together despite the hate

Omg the dang Constellation suit in the basement is now Missing parts. What the crap, like is it just playing with mods in general that is causing this.
This is happening with random armors and clothing in the game ever since the update, I removed every mod that changes the body.
It's really starting to slightly piss me off in a way because how does a dang update do this with mods.
Part of me doesn't even think it's because of the mods but the Update itself has something that messed up the mods.

Verify in Load order. Uncheck what you thought was deleted - since it does not always remove the load order check or info.
I prefer those holes because it's big enough to house all my stuff like my collection of skulls and hunt trophy's aka the bone corpse of Worthy hunts and My creepy enhances Dummy's

If you're on PC, check your Starfield/data directory, it's a long shot but I'm wondering if there's an .esp in there instead of all .esms.
That could be a reason for things disappearing in-game.
I feel that pain half my time has been redoing my saves because something broke halfway through a playthrough the other 50% is spilt between managing load order and making sure mods don't conflict
stray BA2's from deleted content are an issue too.
Welp it's official for me, vehicles can not and will not work, new save nah, through unity nah, ship size nah, game is just toasted till they update that
Is there a fix for when you are not seeing the purchased Vehicle ? Desktop Steam ? I purchased like six. I switched to vanilla purchased ships etc. nothing. The Shipbuilder say I have them. Its not like they are solid and invisible - I ran all over the place. I can have fun if it was invisible but usable.
No idea I'm on xbox so the vehicle thing seems to be linked to being unable to set the vehicle as active.

Resolved. So I had removed a BA2 files - posted above. It was not working when I went in just now, I swapped to the Frontier space ship and went to New Atlantis. I re-purchased again. The Vehicle popped. I switched to my Modded Spaceship and the Vehicle is still here. I was getting worried. LOL

So starfeild Billboards and poster stopped working, I got the allied winter Camo pack and that broke it I think.
I noticed that things like the Futuristic Ak the modern warfare aka, and stuff like that don't really work, I changed the load order to make the posters last and it still not working.
Not sure what is up with that though. But I'm deleting it, and just using vanilla posters. Sucks cus the Mod ones look so realistic

It doesn't exist in vanilla and I had to find this by disabling every mod after redownloading

No. Does your cockpit clip with any of the buildings when landing?
No clipping on the cockpit but sometimes the whole ship doesn't load into the world where it originally landed
Well that's a bit different. I take it you've optimized your load order. So if your experiencing something like that I'd have to say its possibly your txt file containing mod information may be getting overloaded.

I'm currently trying to find which mod is absolutely breaking my ability to buy a vehicle. I currently have disabled every ship manufacturer mod and none of them fixed it however disabling them all did so it's one of them
Does the community patch have an update ? I'm assuming rather than the actual "update installed mods" working on the creation page that mods popping into the latest tab are updated
Anything that appears in that menu delete and reinstall that'll download the update. It's a bit buggy

It shouldn't depend on any from the description. Is it disabling itself in creations saying you don't have the mod it depends on?
Yeah it's saying it needs files that aren't present, I'm actually gonna bite the bullet and load up the Beth. Net page and go through every one of my mods and check the history to see if I'm missing updates
Checking if that's a you side or if the mod actually requires files that aren't present unless it needs the legendary module recycler

I can't find the legendary recycle mod to confirm but I can confirm it does need files that are not in creations and not mentioned in the description. I'd recommend finding the mod author and informing them of this issue

That's usually worked anytime I need to update. Your save will also keep your load order btw so you're not trusting bethesda that much
If trying to get your load order back from the save it'll take a bit of time as the game has to register what's missing then it'll ask you to download all missing creations. Once you click yes it'll take as long as downloading the creations from the creations menu so be patient but they'll all be there in correct order

There's a mod I have installed but can't name which one adds it but it comes with a feature that opens up a menu on doors typically only allowing you to hack them where one of the options becomes "break down" and I think it's a genius approach to stealth related interactions for non stealth characters, you aren't just "going through the front, guns blazing" you're very much getting the drop on them still but in a way that alerts everyone in the area, its a great way of appropriating playstyle towards more options not just options as playstyles

@misty geyser Thanks, didn't notice it was skyrim-mods. Yeah, i posted those ini files because nexus wouldn't let make just a guide - recommend there a couple of actual mods that help in conjunction with the ini files achieve playable fps results.

Has anyone else ran into an issue where you can't fast travel with your ship anymore?
It's failing to load new things somehow, acts like there's a new landing zone, sometimes I just get a black screen and walking around as a person even though I was in pilot seat, and once it just moved me out of my ship into space, can't land ship on a planet..
I've just updated a bunch of mods to get the game running, I'm sure more needs updating but even so, thought I'd ask in case anyone else got this issue and can figure it out faster than me
I did an update and they’re all updated though, it was also JUST fine before I left the game and when I came back the NV4 was the maelstrom again

then put them back in, basically resetting the install of those mods
That’s the thing though.. it’s a NEW save, it was fine when I left but when I came back a few hours later it was reverted as if it was never there, should I load the save WITHOUT the mods enabled and then again with them enabled?

For some reason I don't think xbox reads the load order from top to bottom, try putting them at the bottom of your load order

Yeah stuff like additions amd replacers should go at the bottom, things like overhauls or patches go at the top

Yeah, enabling/disabling did nothing because the replacer for this SHOULD be an M16

May someone help me with my load order? My game crashed again and will not load and I had to start a new game and it seems to be working fine, but I know it’s going to be a matter of time before this crap happens again where it crashes on saving and loading and I’ll be forced to start a new game once again.
Best we can do is if you have a computer you can make it in the creation kit and upload it so that way it'll be purchaseable through each playthrough. I'm finalizing my ship design and then going to be doing that
Welp I'm having bad luck one of the mods I'm using is writing a full 1.3 gigabytes worth of data and lying about it's size
Well that can cause crashes. <nodding> Especially if it does not delete. The properties of the data files should point to what generating it.
It's writing it during the download. I've tried clearing the reserved space like 5 times now and it's not going away despite mod size in creations only showing 1.66 gigs. I wish it was easy on xbox to see what was writing it
From that description - I think it is Creations doing that.

If you log out - if it disappears - it would make sense. But it could stay like a large cache.

Yeah I have no idea what, all my creations are still on bethesda and whatnot so I'm not sure what is writing that much in the reserved space. It's there before I even load into the game which is why I'm saying it's happening during the download of these creations

I am desktop support trained. I could get the data to the programmers that fix things.

That is the Storage on Creations at Bethesda. When you install a mod - it installed on Bethesdas server and you are allotted 1 TB. Each player is allowed 1tb for mod storage.

That is the size of the mods. The Dune mod to make Arrakis is 9 MB, example only. No idea what else is written in the storage palce to make Starfield work with the Mods on Xbox.
Yeah but look at the difference in size from the reserved space to the space used in creations. If each mod did that space would be filled after just a few as I'm on 76 mods already that'd be 140gb
And you are alloted 1 tb to add mods to your Xbox game. Its stored not on Xbox but on Bethesda Creations server. We are not privy to the details on how they are making it work.

So, I have the Turquoise Touch skin pack, and on the Old Earth AR, it changes the color of the long barrel mod, but not the short barrel.

Can’t set vehicle active for the Warthog mod too
Anyone else cant get a custom npc to say its lines? I think I narrowed down the issue to either it failing to load the voicefiles or something in the quest logic not working
Same issue with all the vehicle mods. Was asking earlier but don't think anyone knows.
Controller inputs don't register so you can't change vehicles
Keyboard works fine still it's just the controller input that doesn't get recognised
Shame really cause the Warthog looks stunning and yet I can't select it yet

Some were affected but many of them still work because the update didn’t touch anything the mods touched. And for some that were broken the mod authors have updated them. I had 40 or so mods and all of them still worked.

its likely some mods need to be updated as well to work with the new update

It's possible, I'll share a pro trick. Run a ramp over your steps, generate the nav data then delete the ramp

Another pro tip, sometimes ck won't connect nav nodes at the top of or the bottom of steps. So if you see your NPCs having a hard time the nav mesh nodes might not be connected at those points.
For fast connection Ctrl click both nodes and press Q it'll merge then. Just make sure you select the point you want the merge to be first.
Default merge point will always be to the first selected

@brave reef pilgrimage alters the base skills right??? I've never downloaded it, but the character boosts mod has worked for me on all the base skills even when I had mods that changed their effects

Yeah it alters skills and has the boost pack changes I like but the mod I have that removes skills currently disables pilgrimage

Well I’m on Xbox and for me right now all my mods are working good and I have the warthog I just can’t select it for some reason.
But whenever my mods give me issues I exit to the main menu and then go into creations check my lord order make sure it’s good and all updated and then I go back to the main menu and say ok to the message about the order update and then i close out the game and then start it back up and start the game and then the mods work good
With the warthog mod I have 23

Yeah on Xbox and I have the warthog at the vendor and it lets me change the color and stuff but won’t let me activate it as the main rover

Did you do the hard reset of you Xbox ? It forces a clear of all caches.
you could try this: To power cycle your Xbox:
Press and hold the [Xbox] button on the front of the console for 10 seconds.
Unplug the console's power cable and wait for at least 10 seconds as this resets the power supply.
Plug the power cable back in and turn the console back on by pressing the [Xbox] button again.
Just an attempt to get it to reset.

Wanted to get some thoughts on a mod I am thinking about. I am a fan of Dimension 20 and one aspect of their DnD game they played was they purchased and added a Casino and a space WeWork system in their ship, they had to spend some credits and then everyday had a chance of winning money or losing money from the casino on their ship as well as some income from having a space WeWork where they rented out office space on the ship. An interesting hab mod that added a Casino or a space WeWork could be an interesting mechanic that adds random or even quest related NPCs if it were a larger mod to a ship and give a random chance of credits,

B: Make them a bit costly
C: "I don't see the point" Make the require a little more
personally, I feel like if I make it more than one aluminum people will cry about it. I only see a handful of people complain they're cheap, but I get endless complaints over... simple stuff like locking a door or hiding something that's meant to be hidden.
Honestly it's creators choice. If you could have achievement friendly it would make sense for immersion purposes but without that I see no point make it a credit if you want the item requirement is as you said with c kinda pointless when using any mods/creations. As for anyone complaining about you hiding easter eggs they can find the nearest hairy toe in mud and suck on it. To complain to someone making a mod/creation is the dumbest thing I may not like the charging for non achievement friendly mods but that's because I'm broke and it's a personal opinion they should have to be achievement friendly but I don't go yelling at folks like yourself for charging for your hard work. They shouldn't complain about something that has them playing the game for longer as a paid anything should.

A bit of give and take there. If majority like it then the haters are haters. People will find almost anything to complain about when they're unhappy. Now if everyone who bought your mod complains that's a different take. If your easter eggs are 5 hour long scavenger hunts that's on you. But you can't make everyone happy. (If they are that long I'd recommend making them a bit easier for the general masses)

Yeah that's a tough call as you never want to overuse an asset, but some things just fit better in certain decor.
Honestly I have ideas for gothic decor, fantasy decor, some eathly homes and decor. I'd like to make a hobbit hole door and maybe some cathedral doors, something a little gothic as well from a full house to simple ship decor, maybe an old church ruin like notre dame (could use the photos and models from when the roof burnt down) so many ideas. And honestly some of them would probably aid in creations like this stopped by an old gen pc. My xbox has better specs

I don't have any plans to do that.
If I do decide to it would be the last priority. I personally think with all the well-made deco mods out there it would be a disservice to fill it with lame statics. Considering there are mods that give you functional stuff that I have no intention to duplicate, it's just better off for the majority who do decorate that I leave it empty. Luckily I made all the actual rooms normal size.
I just downloaded beta max functional decor just for the Hyla II mansion. I'm thinking of your new mod - it's just my play style is not evil lord of the lair. 😆
@sharp lynx OH no I meant a "patch" as in a separate mod. Not an update. That way while your creation would be a hard requirement only those like myself would download it leaving the normal creation still empty. Maybe someone else can or something. lol
I just hate decorating. Hated that aspect of settlement building in Fallout 4 too. Prefer automation like Sim Settlements had or refurbished/already decorated mods. But that's down to preference. 🤷♂️🙂

When creating a mod, once we converted the .esp to .esm, can we delete the esp or should we keep it?
Ah, looks like we can't set .esm files as active files. So i guess the esp files are still needed.
I find the system that BGS uses for updating mods somewhat frustrating. It's kind of convoluted IMO that a mod would be released (in this case a habs mod), where a bunch of people would build a number of habs (including decorating) and then have to delete them all just because the mod has been updated.
Yesterday, going into my outpost build menu started crashing the game. I assume now that it's because I updated a certain mod without deleting everything old before doing so.
Shame on me but what's the point of building things only to have to delete them again once the mod is updated?
I know people will say, just don't update then. Easy enough, but then what's the point of updating the mods you create if it hurts your early adopters? Maybe hold off releasing the mod until it's fully fleshed out?
For me, I like immersive cost because I like to actually play the game. Once I’ve done all the quests, burned out on radiants, what’s left to do? Having to mine or save up and buy resources to build something that should realistically cost a lot of those gives me a game loop with a reward at the end
That said as you know I’m struggling with the same question myself.
The only reason I can see going low cost is to avoid all the people angry at being asked to plate the game complainers.
I like to think most people would like the game loop and something to do, but I honestly don’t know any more
I appreciate things being low cost. I'm did all my grinding early on and now I'm just out to have fun.
However, with all of the cheat mods out there now, grinding for mats or credits is passé anyway...unless you hardcore roleplay
A straight update shouldn’t do that, at least not normally
100%. The game is currently broken. "Endgame content" (ships and shipparts) is way too cheap, while equipment and loot is crazy valuable. Cleaning out 1 POI gives 300k credits after tax.
I'm currently getting started with the creation kit, didn't mess with it before much, but i wanna look into rebalancing the messed up prices. Then add some money sinks. Crew salary, maintenance cost for outposts and ships, etc.

I agree but unfortunately the creator of the mod rereleased the older version of the mod today because it was acknowledged that updating to the new version without the delete breaks the build menu.
Sounds kinda funny to me that bethesda can't check for updated items and just remove them themselves without having the player do it to not break the savegame.
I also feel that load ordering should be something that occurs seamlessly in the background.
I did some investigation to find the error of my npc not saying the custom lines:
- I made an audio log which does correctly play the voicelines
from that I can say that it is not an issue with WWise or the audio files - I have followed 2 different npc tutorials exactly and it wont work for me. My npc just skips the line.
- I have checked the voicetype, assigned alias, everything should work, however it wont.
- the quest itself appears to start because the player dialogue choices AFTER the greeting show up. So it has to be something with the npc not being correctly set up to say the line
If someone has gotten voiced npcs to say greetings, can you post a screenshot of how the quest greeting looks like in the editor? Perhaps I am overlooking something
Anyway, I think I'm done with base building. I'm going to take another trip through the unity and carry on by living in my ship.

I usually have 1 outpost where i dump resources at, that's it.
Building ships and outposts were my two fav things to do. It's a creative outlet.
I’d keep doing that then, sometimes it gets broken, and it definitely sucks when that happens and you’ve got to start over, but like you say, it’s a creative outlet, so would be sad to lose that
For me it’s worth the gamble, because as bad as it hurts when I lose work, it would more sad to not do something I enjoyed because of that potential pain
In a perfect world / universe, ship parts would be so expensive, that building them ourselves with resources gained from planet resource extractors should be the preferred method of getting access to them.
If they'd have balanced outposts around that the game would be sooo much better.

Damn, awesome. I just found out, that it's possible to export item data from the ck, edit the text file and reimport it. That means i can build me a tool to adjust prices better and don't have to edit every item by hand. I love it. :D

you'd think that. The common feedback I'd see for GCE and other outposts stuff that's not mine was always related to immersion cost. Seems more people hate having to grind than not... Tho for GCE that was the point of the mod so they can kick rocks in that regard. But for personal homes... I feel the context is a little different, a lot of my homes are fairly large and generally unique so I can see people wanting to look at the inside and it would be probably annoying to grind forever to drop down one of them only to find you like a different one more, Just makes selection less annoying.

The confusion too is that some mods are able to updated "in situ" without any issues. I had two appear that way yesterday and it was seamless.
This mod is meant to be used for peolpe who used my Outpost Habs Expanded version before update 1.5. Version 1.5 breaks the outpost build menu when the placed habs weren't removed before the update. I am sorry for the trouble and hopefully this helps! This version is not compatible with the Color Variations AddOn, which requires version 1.5.
It won't work for me because I cannot delete the v1.5 buildings I had built beforehand.
That was the first thing I did earlier. All it did was corrupt another outpost. I was able to fix that but my main base is still broken because of the catch-22.

I'm only running about 45 mods and I keep a grip on my load order
I noticed lately that the load order is constantly changing on it's own more often now too
I've got a fat 70+ lol too many to pass up and things that are performance enhances like crowd reducer. There's probably 10 in my lo like that. As for it changing using the restore lo button will set it back to what you have it saved as updates included but will delete no longer disable any mod not in that saved lo

- I have created an NPC, a voicetype and a quest that consists of a greeting dialogue
- That greeting will only ever play if the npc was placed in an interior cell.
- If the npc is placed in an exterior cell it randomly disappears
- When that npc is approached (in an exterior cell) a conversation is initiated and the voicelines are not played. The game skips through them either to the end of the conversation or the first player dialogue option
Does anyone else have this same issue? All video tutorials that show how to create voiced npcs only do so by placing npcs in interior cells so they may not even notice ut
I will say (and please don't take this personally), as someone who is not a coder but is pretty adept as an end-user, I find that there are some smug comments thrown around occasionally here. I've been lurking here for a while and I do agree that there are some outrageous requests made of creators and a lot of people out there who expect miracles.
Having said that though, I also see that there are a handful of people here who are fairly new to using the CK and they've occasionally created headaches for people who have used their mods too. It works both ways. Just sayin' 😄
BGS needs to develop a more robust support system for creators and start fixing issues so it is a better experience for everyone. Those who work hard creating the mods, and those who enjoy using them.

Man yall over here having serious issues and I'm just dealing with a max hab/item count. Mine just makes me wish I had a big 6x3x3 hab full of all the stations like computer core engineering and such another with all the crew habs like mess hall and living quarters for captains and crew I'd put it in the deimos hab for simplicity and door connections. I'd do this myself if this laptop wasn't a potato and crashes just trying to play wow (wife tried last night)

Only a few. And those are just mods that just need to update anything on ships(i.e. parts) to be compatible with the new vehicles.
This is a tough one because some of the houses look good with a yard. And some people might want it with one and others might want it without the yard, because it wouldn't blend well on a barren moon or a planet with a different type of grass for example

My response to this last time was just to give them super long stairs so I could bury the yards if people didn't want yards all they had to do was just not lift the house lol

Question for the channel and maybe someone has an answer. I'm working on a starstation in CK. Got the decorator in and working but I can't figure out how to get it to link to the stations cargo hold so you don't have to have materials on you to build stuff. Any ideas?
@sharp lynx I suppose if you wanted to make a compromise to appease both sides of the metaphorical fence. You could make yards separate? That said it could be a whole extra mess of work you don't want/need in your life.

You shouldn't have any issues, I test my creations on a computer that has the very minimum of specs to run starfield to make sure it'll work for everyone.

Guessing here, but is that related to item quality tiers being reflected by character levels?
Meaning you get more advanced/higher tier versions of those items from the RNGSUS loot pool as your player levels.

K, its what they wear, and there is chance the item will drop. When its drops there is random quality that it drops as.
the higher quality, the higher the stats.
And this is for legendaries as well?
these are drops without legendary stats. legendary drops are separate.
otherwise the spacers would be wearing legendary armor, and from what I have seen the vanilla game dosnt do that.
@frosty rover if you aren't out of space for text on your armor packs I would definitely find it helpful for you to list what's not included. Would also be cool to have a pack of your other types of apparel. Big fan.
Sure I can do that. I will be doing the same to the clothing pack that I did with the spacesuit pack, and thats have an all in one with standalone + replacers.

However if I do the same with my scene it says undefined.

Most of the Vids - are on the older Before Creations, about load order. You can add mods via Vortex. But you log into Starfield then Creations - it writes the plugins.txt document. If it does not - it would be an issue.

Load order is controlled by Creations. So I am not understanding -this Loot ATM - Like 5 pages on Loot come up - which one specifically?
oh I mean sorting load order via loot in vortex, its a newish feature for the starfield extention of vortex
but if creations is going to override any mod sorting I do in vortex then no worries
Oh that. It wont hurt anything - It will place what it wants in a load order. Creations will arrange it as it see fit to do. If you don't like what Creations does - you go into Creations - the load order - and move the mods around as you see fit. Hope it stays LOL.
Some people fight with Creations <shrug> but I have not had issues.

Is anyone having trouble with the mod "mech enemies" I think that's the one letting me build mechs at my outposts however any time I try to load the model to build lately is just crashes the build menu. My simple fix atm is just making a new outpost beacon to reset the build menu but I believe this could lead to problems down the line
Dude... they created actually good looking trade lists for ships...
And then they didn't use them and assigned generic lists that contain a pretty much static amount of minimal credits and some resources for most ships... this hurts so bad.
So this isn’t a game breaking issue but my created character has a really strange farmer’s tan going on. Anyone else have this? I have the hair and beard mod. Maybe where I’m placing it in my load order?
Does anyone know why delgado is in his safe room with mods but whe I have mods off he is by the navigation table next to Matthias on the key??
If you haven’t already completely close out of the game and restart. Not sure if you’re on XBox or PC but I’m on XBox and I once had to reset it to get texture mods to load properly. Don’t know if you use Vortex or Crations but as of a couple updates ago Creations has started implementing what it thinks is the best load order and I haven’t seen a way around it at least in my experience.
Did you try leaving the system and returning? Delgado did this to me once and I grav jumped to another system and then returned to find him properly at the nav table where he should be.

There is still a lot of overlap with how things are done in Starfield and the older games. Bethesda even have some old Skyrim tutorials which are useful for getting started, and it tends to become pretty clear when you’re working though stuff when things start to diverge
But it’s definitely worth checking out some old tutorials to get an idea of what to do
I'd notice the biggest leap is from skyrim to fallout CK
Since soo many skyrim modders are clueless when looking at starfield CK
If you are used to fallout ck the jump to starfield is soo much easier
And for those that have no prior knowledge
I’ve never used any of the previous creation kits, and used of videos from the Skyrim and FO4 kits to get started with this one

Not as hard as I thought it would be, you can also figure a fair amount out through pattern recognition, and following threads through different parts of what you’re trying to accomplish
Wild. I wonder if it’s possible to disable the mod, progress the quest to the next stage and then reenable it. I always hate doing that since you don’t how it might affect the save but it may be worth a shot after doing a hard save.

The only thing that was particularly helpful about some of the old ones at least for getting started, was they were paired down to just essential elements which make it easy to follow when getting set up
For me, using those to get the basic shape of things, and then the newer ones once you have a rough handle on what box does what was helpful, and makes it easier to follow along with the new videos
(I also got started when the kit dropped so before there were any Starfield videos, or anything really)

Is anyone else having problems with the Astrolabe mod? It works for a while and then just stops.
The only mods I've added since I got it are ship parts rotation and the UI mod it needs
I dont have that mod and while being unlikely since you only use 3 mods... stil gonna suggest a load order issue, try to change it too shiparts 1 then astrolabe 2 then ui 3 maybe?
He's the 8th I've seen that's had an issue with that specific mod. I'm starting to think it is that 1.
I have not been aware of previous issues but if you guys have seen multiple by now im also sure you likely be right 🙂
Who is the creator of the new spacer suits in creation kit ?
I ask cause the mod was working fine untill I picked up the legendary sets of the mod and no whole inventory is plank
(I dropped the legendary sets and inventory was back to normal )
A few un-installed it mid playthrough (not recommended but things happen) and it rendered their travel impossible they became planet stuck. A few more said the starchart started acting up after the vehicle update. So there's a number of things it could be but most likely the base issue is the creation. Seems like one of those it worked fine then became unusable.

Sorry, I do have a lot of mods. Mostly star wars ones, the community patch and stuff. But nothing I can think of that could affect this particular mod.

Same on my Xbox as well. Even after deleting all my mods and then using the restore load order from Bethesda to force them to install theor updates. Next time I load creations they still all say version 0 again.

I just realized if you have Xbox Ultimate you can play starfield with mods from creation kit in the cloud and they give you 50 gb for mods.

Right it's a game changer you can just play from your browser and pick up where you left off on your save with your creations(mods) intact. The only downside is you can't do something like use MO2 and have to use the built in creations engine for downloading and using mods but still pretty workable and a nice feature they should advertise more. ShadowPC charges like $30+/month to play starfield/skyrim with mods, curious is Skyrim got this same treatment.

Look up Starfinance it’s a pretty cool one it’s like an actual banking system where you can store credits at galbank and also earn interest on the creds you have in there.
That does sound pretty sweet ima check that out I was hoping there was a mod to let you store your credits in your safes and stuff at your homes for some Immersion

If the first then I'd recommend something like black or a shinny chrome materials are perfect if your going for a more of a homey style kitchen perhaps the wood finish would do your kitchen justice?

So I guess that I'm in a very small group of players who doesn't like how the buggy was implimented. I don't see myself using all that much and I don't like that it deploys automatically and cannot be sold. It'd be great if it could at least be "put away" if you don't want to use it.
