Hahahaha yeah... I did that a few times. It wasn't loading because I was loading through steam and not the mod manager, which i need to fix somehow.

I guess I could somehow delay it and make it so they can't pay it back until a week later but then the auto payment will automatically come out. The option to manually pay it off was added for those that wanted to pay it back early instead of just letting it auto deduct

Just finished setting up an outpost chain to mass produce Vytinium Fuel Rods, their market value is 836 credits each and I'll be making tens of thousands, probably a lot more to be honest. Trying to sell this stuff is going to be hell.
Would be great to get a mod that allows to you set up a system where you sell them to Argos Extractors or something.
Like a new cargo link where you put in goods and they come collect and leave the credits in a deposit box or something. Then it could have a chance to get raided and you have to go get it back 😂

If I knew how to pack up retextures into a Ba2 file, I could probably convert it to the CK and upload it for Xbox. But I am not familiar with how to do any of that, so I think it best to wait and see.

Fair enough. :) and I've always liked the look of them too. The constellation one is definitely one of my favorites, but the issue with it is that it's one of the old replacer mods that also unintentionally alters to helmet of the Venator suit, so the hunter gets a free constellation helmet. 🤣

either the textures just arent loading or partially loading
plugins.txt has the proper esm in it in local appdata, the mod data is currently listed in C:\Users\wollb\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data, and the esm is in the root data folder, if there is any other information I can give tmr please let me know
when opening a starfield nif it shows blank in nifskope dev9, is there something wrong with nifskope or is this a configuration issue?

Good morning/day/evening eveyone. There is a new mod that allows you to have more than three traits now. This is perfect if you wish to own the furnished dream house without having the dreamhouse trait originally chosen. Unfortunately, it seems that the only way to access the traits menu is through the character creator, which means making a new player? I'm NG+10 on my original player and I don't wish to lose all of my current assets.
One to be watched for sure
After some further reading, it appears that the dreamhome trait has a quest attached to it, so I guess I won't bother. Hopefully, DownfallNemesis can simply remove the requirement to have that trait if possible.

What do you understand as standalone location for the Cabin?
For the Dream House, I can look into making it available without the trait. As far as I'm aware there's no mod for that on Bethesda yet, only on Nexus. But besides decorating stuff I'm not too knowledgeable about the rest so we'll see lol

Fair enough. And I'm not saying it should be removed. Maybe you could put in a check to see how long to loans existed for and if it's paid off too early just have it not update the credit score. Or only have the credit score be updated when the loan is paid off in full/or when an auto payment is deducted. Or not, it's your mod after all and you can balance it however you want.

Has anyone had any crashes on CK when trying to load a Mod? I am trying to prepare to upload a new mod which is 100% SF1EDIT done (started it before CK was available) and it keeps on crashing when it is opening the mod. I am tempted to only release it on nexusmods if this persists

Creating a new character and these backgrounds are showing. When you click them, there are no starting skills and you cannot assign two.
I’ve checked my mods and the only thing I can think that shows these, is the Cheat Terminal as you can see these exact background wordings as cheats within the Cheat Terminal under ‘Cheats’.
I have no added background mods, only a more traits one which I’ve tested by disabling the mod and rechecking.
Just thought I’d post this incase the mod author see’s this or others are curious as to what’s happening.

The mod is probably a WIP... The WIP section on Bethnet does not show up on Xbox for some reason at the moment. You can download it by adding it to your library on Bethnet and then on Xbox, while in the Creations Menu, choose the option "Download all Creations in my Library and mods from you library will be downloaded. Please note that this will download all the mods in your library that aren't already in your LO, so remove any mods from your library you do not want to download onto xbox. This includes any mod you've previously deleted.
Also note that mods in WIP are there for a reason, they're most likely not finished.
I’m resetting that computer right now. I’m literally building a new computer with way more ram and memory so, my modding “career” is starting up slow. It would help me to know who is having problems though, what mods do you run, etc, so I can see what the issues might be.

- When you die, you respawn and lose credits (simulating paying for a clone) or
- If you die as a starborn you just respawn in a new universe.
- When your ship dies, you lose the ship but you get an insurance payout

To add onto this, I'm looking at using the permadeath mod as well. So basically, the idea is, you can buy clones to use. If you die, you respawn as a clone unless you don't have anymore clones. Then it's actual permadeath.

Right now they collect dropped weapons, cleanup bodies, harvest flora, removes trees, bushes, rocks. Soon they will heal you and fix broken stuff after attacks

I'm also working on a fun one I think you might enjoy if you can figure out how to get it so that you can assign people to certain things in outposts and make them work it to be functional lol. (Trade routes and automatically selling stuff from outposts using trade ships)

Then when you redeem your quantum Essence itll also be a random int to increase your HP, Oxygen & Starpower as it has a hard limit of 2 for Starpower and Quantum Essence atm
Ohh and carry weight is +5 * Unity Enters. I currently have an additional 500 carry weight because of the 100 unity enters on my character

Its all been based around Johns comment to you about radiation and thats what sparked the lore idea tbh. Radiation is all around in space as it is. So make sense that when we go to temples and do the mini game, we get a huge dose of ...... Radiation. What does Radiation also do? Alters DNA

Tbh it still needs more research tbh. I took me awhile to get the credits function working making sure its working correctly and as intended with the correct checks so people couldnt abuse the system to basically duplicate the amount they get when NG+ starts.. Plus removed almost all edits to the vanilla records. The only script ive changed from the game is Artifact_Advancement but tbh i cant see any other mod altering that script so its why i kept it as is haha

Ended up making my own Trigger just before you enter the unity then had that call a function in my Main Script file which saved Credits to a custom ActorValue EV4_Credits then when the quest starts itll do a bunch of checks to make sure the credits get added correctly. The additional checks are so there isnt a problem with players installing on an existing save

Who here is specialised in changing perk i would like to request one specific perk changed 😅 i would like the rappid reload perk in ranks 1 to 3 increase every weps reload and mag size by 10 and the 4th increase both reload apeed and mag size by 50% . this specifically because the mod thats out ther for the 50% reload conflicts with starfield extended - craftable quality , and the mag increase from inquisitor is quite a pain to get to rank 4 . since i try to run a low ammo playtrough and i cant afford it to shoot and reload for nothing 😅
Yeah kinda. I tried doing something similar to LL injection & a custom formlist but just didnt work for this so added my own triggers/activators ended up working perfectly.. Still is a custom formlist for the ActorValues: Starpower & Quantum Essence

Once i figure out this other feature, you should be able to bring Armour and Weapons in. Not sure about other items but should be possible since i got the Credits to work and should be able to copy that. Only reason why im not understand armour and weapons is because youve got different tiers, different attachments and the mod should know what item it is, what mods are attached etc etc and reissue them exactly how it was before you entered NG+

Yeah, 24 temples per NG+ so a minimum of 24 Quantum Essence or a maximum of 72 Essence (if lucky) per NG+ (not including extra for starborn kills).. I should mention that all those 3 ActovValues get modified, not just 1 of them
I mean I got 3000 health and 400ish armor and I still have to be careful on extreme so I mean I'd say it should be fine worse case you can set values to .5

Usually all bethesda games if it's like a heavy rework like fallout 3 to 4 I do easy to get used to it then go to hardest (and suffer with the maim mod)
But if it's like fo3 to NV (yes I know it's not bethesda but it handles the same enough) I just stay on max difficulty

I had issues with the two nukacola cocktails and the crate being invisible and using nifscope to clean the connections solved everything in about ten seconds.
step 1: download nifscope and a copy of the mod manually
step 2: run nifscopes 'bulk update to SF 1.11.33 mesh paths' under its menu 'spells' and go down the manually downloaded mods 'meshes' subfolders till you find the 'nukacola' subfolder...select the folder and run the bulk update on it. Say yes to everything, and save when it tells you. DO NOT CHANGE THE FILE NAME IT CHOOSES WHEN SAVING!!!!
step 3: use your mod manager to find the installed mod folder and overwrite its mesh folder with the version you altered with nifscope and say yes to all file replacement.
Congratulations. If you did it correctly, it should work now

I mean, in terms of a roleplaying aspect? It works quite well as-is, right now tbh.
The only thing that would be cool to see is having credits from like, the new TA bounty missions or constellation or UC missions automatically deposited into the bank account instead of paid out directly to the player.

exactly what I'm doing this second lol. I put an outpost as close as possible to use tg's stuff in, then I'm putting build anywhere in between my outpost and the farm to connect it all into a big settlement. plus evansy's outpost extender will make it even larger.

Man, I can't believe I only discovered today that in the CK (at least the Starfield CK; haven't checked Skyrim or F04 CKs), you can select whatever records you want (say, a bunch of spells) right-click one of them, choose Export, and it will save all key:value pairs to a CSV which you can open in Excel or LibreCalc or whatever. So useful when I'm making lists of things when mapping out a mod in advance.
It gives the CSV a .txt extension for whatever reason, but you could rename it or just right-click+OpenWith.
I got the dynamic terminal working sort of!
If I use the keywords for the companies their names show up and when you click what should be the next button it updates the list of companies shown!
Making the game do things it wasn't intended to do lmao
But it works! I just need it to properly keep state when you're in the menu so that you can go backwards and forwards and that it properly divides the amount of companies
It would be cool to have some sort of jack in device to hook up to certain terminals in this game. For immersion if you’re a cybernetic type player
It's kinda sorta broken though lol
But by using the keywords in a formlist I can get it to display the company names! And I'm already using the keywords as part of the registration command so I just need the registration command to add the keywords to a form list when it registers them. Then the terminal will always have the most up to date companies if you install a mod that adds a company

This was tricky to find out. Essentially what the next and previous buttons do is force a redraw of the menu. The script checks for those and when they're pressed it updates the page
It works though! We now have semi dynamic terminals using text replacement 😄
It takes the entries in a formlist and uses those as the text to put in but hey, it works
And if you can inject keywords into that formlist it will update
So now, if anyone adds a mod that adds stocks or indexes, then the list will update 😄 Not sure what happens if you remove a mod though
Now to just get it so that the selected stock information gets carried over to the next page so that when you click on a company's entry, it loads all their stock information. Same with the indexes
But that shouldn't be too hard

But hey, dynamic-ish terminals are now working. Now I just need to modify the test script to point to the proper index and then make it select the proper information for when you go to the next screen
So that way the next screen that has the buy and sell options will show the correct info about the company like it's price and stuff
So the stock market interface should be done relatively soon 🙂

Basically it's going to be a few menus that get reused.
But I can use this dynamic-ish terminal for a lot of stuff with the stock market. The Portfolio, the trading menu, and the news menu
So that way new news menu items can get added to it periodically and you can page through them

Let me just say right off the bat that the person that Authored the Legendary Module Recycler is an absolute legend. I will absolutely be recommending this mod to everyone. I do want to point out something odd though. For context, if you put a mod on, say an Eon pistol, it gets renamed to Modified Eon. If I were to put an unmodified Legendary Eon pistol in the recycler, it comes out with the name Modified Eon, despite the fact that there are no mods on it.

Who here is specialised in changing perk i would like to request one specific perk changed 😅 i would like the rappid reload perk in ranks 1 to 3 increase every weps reload and mag size by 10 and the 4th increase both reload apeed and mag size by 50% . this specifically because the mod thats out ther for the 50% reload conflicts with starfield extended - craftable quality , and the mag increase from inquisitor is quite a pain to get to rank 4 . since i try to run a low ammo playtrough and i cant afford it to shoot and reload for nothing 😅
You know when you finalize this. You might be able to hold a class for the Bethesda programmers on editing in programming - Starfield. LOL

D.E.R.E.K - I usually love companions, and really enjoy them chattering etc.. but .. I had to return him back to the place outside the lodge and make him stay there.
Not only does he say “Hi Dan” every single time you get in range (so I walk away, then walk back to do something a second later, and he’s eagerly greeting Dan again.)
The thing that made him unbearable for me, is on my Ship.
The first time, I thought it was funny, and cute.
By the 20th time I was wishing there was a “punt out of the airlock” mod.
It’s a real shame because I like his humour, I just can’t tolerate the ship “noise”. AND because I paid real money for him! Ach.
(Three or Four lines on repeat, with mere seconds between them, as I said, they were funny at first, but not every few seconds.)
(This was the 20th time in one episode of being on my ship and decorating an empty hab. That’s how quickly it repeats)
Man it sckz to have a payed mod be put away like that 😦 Fix is rather simple though. There are mods that allow you to change up chat noice including for on your ship. My self use of the darkstar astro mod - https://creations.bethesda.net/en/starfield/details/ce2d6bef-5fca-46a5-a91a-0eefd95f2e1a/DarkStar_Astrodynamics__PC_ - This one has a wallmounted console in the lodge cellar where you can change up the chatter settings. But take a good read if its something for you as it does much much more. I am sure there are mods that focus on just that chatter though but you would need to take a stroll trough creations or nexus to find it i guess
Well done, I asked about this mod yesterday as I was going to download it at some point, I was wondering if this mod would present any issues to the main game, like mess up credits or break something, but if it doesn't then I'll happily download it
I have no issues with any of his mods and the dev is also developing them still and planing more. Now it wont say it wont ever mes up but as it stands atm the mods are top notch and an actual big improvement too the game. Only issue i have seen popping up since yesterday is it somehow wont run with the unofficial community patch
That's true, the stuff that they add is amazing. The only issue I have is my creation store crashes all the time, and I have to delete the catalogue file over and over to fix it lol. Then it comes back again after launching the game 2 times. But other than that the mods are a big improvement for me. I have had weird bugs sometimes when playing but Bethesda games are known to have them lol

Oompf yeah that scks but i believe that is an creations issue that bethesda is investigating. Lets hope the next update wil contain a fix for that. And yeah lots of mods stil have issues, multiple reasons i figure. Mostly new modders and no documentation too the new kit ontop of the fact a whole range of tools are not even released yet to have full CK functionality 😄 Im sure in time mod stability wil improve though its just in these early days we gotta take care what mods we use 😄 Im sure the Darkstar mods wil positivly improve your Starfield experience and your going to have a lot of fun with them👍

Hello everyone, not sure if I have already asked this but I can't remember sooooo.....
I have a PC that has an AMD Ryzen 5 6 Core processor, 16GB ram, AMD Radon Rx 6600 XT 8GB.
Now I access this PC via Remote Desktop from my Microsoft Surface Pro.
If I take an asset into the Render Window, I don't get alot of control over it and things like habs never seem to render correctly.
Is this a byproduct of the Remote Desktop or something else. Are there setting within the Creation Kit that need to be changed or would it be better to run the Creation kit director from the Surface Pro?
CK is a memory hog, especially when using the rendering window, could be 16G is simply not enough for it to work with reliably. 48G is the recommended. I currently have 16G and I can't even get a cell to render most of the time.
32GB is the listed minimum spec, so I'd say the 16GB is what's causing those issues
