Is anyone currently working on, or knows of, a mod that allows the player to manually improve item quality?
Say I have a suit that is at Refined and I want it to be Superior. Is there a mod that allows me to to use the workbenches and assign the quality level, and therefore increased item stats that come with improvement?
I have tried to get the Starfield Extended mods to work, but they don't seem to play nice with my Xbox/other mods.
I was working on one but it's too much trouble, not very compatable with other mods

So basically I’m trying to us the “Grand Army of the Republic UC Conversion” mod, but I cannot for the life of me to get the mod to work.
I have the “Star Wars Armor Pack” downloaded & I’ve even started an entirely new NG+
Also, when the description says “The Armor Pack must be loaded before this conversion”, do they mean it needs to be higher up in the LO, or lower? (I’m new to this stuff & suck at it apparently lol l)
Mods required by other mods should go above them.
So in this case you have the armor pack and then the grand army mod below it.
Okay thanks for clarifying. While you’re here, is there anything else I’d have to do to make it work? Cause when I re-enable it, everyone is just working around in their Underwear-suit.
I'm on xbox myself and haven't tried the mods personally. But it sounds like some folks have been having issues with it as well. Saw a few posts on Reddit about missing textures and such. But others that didn't have issues. Not sure what's going on to be honest.

I'm not sure what's wrong with the mod I uploaded to BethNet last night. Furnished Starborn Ship. I go to the Manage tab and it says Review Errors, but I can't see any errors or way to review them. Users are reporting problems but as of this morning Creation Kit won't start up for me. Tells me my video drivers are old (I checked, they're current), and then hangs while "Iniitalizing Face Gen..." Any advice?

I was similarly unsure myself, so I asked @misty geyser questions on his NexusMods page. Either him or MadCat221 responded by deleting said questions and going off about 'your type'
With that in mind, I'd recommend SFCP over anything Arthmoor does.

I mained the starborn guardian for the longest time so was looking forward to
It was working fine for PC on Nexus. The CK wouldn't let me upload textures, though, so I tried to modify my one single .mat file to just reference vanilla textures. Unfortunately I missed one. Now I can't fix it because I can't even get the CK to load.
This is a cool mod idea. Just needs something (or another mod) to allow the Starborn ships to not be weaker than custom-built ones, and it'll be AMAZING

I saw a post: "My impression is that new ck can do much better and cooler things then the skyrim one, its just missing a few basic features atm, but im sure it will be fixed eventually. Also they apparently have some licensing issues with the companies that made some of the tools in their kit, which prevents us from using some features. We will have to wait and see" could someone give more information about this, please?
It's nice! Not more friendly of course, but I landed at the London landmark and seeing it between the trees and everything was cool as hell. Alongside the NASA place feeling completely different

If it was an issue on my end it surely would happen on PC too, or even then it should happen with every mod not just some. I even made a mod with basic game play changes and that had audio bug

Is anyone here who's familiar with the CK able to walk me through converting an old standalone weapon mod to CK? I'd also like to add a HUD icon for it, if possible, since it still uses the Tombstone HUD icon.

I know people had issues with the Custom Dynamic Weather Cycles, with the audio again, but haven't seen any about the Better Dynamic Weather
If the audio bug y’all are talking about is the one where it mutes the game(Xbox). Disable all mods, go to home and close the game; click back into it and reenable your mods. You’ll have to do it every time you launch the game I think.
Also yeah I got your better dynamic weathers mod installed. Never had any issues

Curious as to if there’s a hiccup when uploading a mod or downloading a mod. Like you’ve both said, the wallpaper one has literally no reason to affect audio whatsoever
It’s almost like an upload/download messes, overwrites or deletes the actual game audio 🤯
It's a good theory, maybe something is being corrupted when uploading to xbox, because the Xbox archive packing on Creation Kit itself is broke and you have to do it externally. But then again, even when you dont add files and just edit game data only it still can bug the audio.

Only allow the verified creators to have that option and have the ability to request Bethesda to verify stuff for achievements.

You can quse a quest, make the NPC an alias then use that inventory spot to fill the pocket

It turns out Bethesda made a conscious decision to leave the Starborn Guardian player ship empty of interior furnishings. They created Starborn-themed items to fill it but left them unused in the final release. I think they secretly wanted us to find them and put them to use in our own way. Wish fulfilled! This mod pulls those cut game files ...
so i add it in there or do i need to make one of the loot think and then put that in there?

If it's a weapon you want them to equip add it to the pocket, if it's an item you want them to sell add it to the level list

I had issues with the black visor mod retexture as well as one of it's add-ons for the chargers helmet the one that adds a skull only way I fixed it was reinstalling the mod

Seems I cannot set my .esm (created in xEdit) as the active file in the CK, and thus cannot export it to BethNet. When I try to save it as an .esp (in order to convert it to a CK-recognized master) it omits all the .esm data. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. There's no documentation so I'm just guessing at everything.

You can only set esp as active file, you can upload that ESM through creation kit, but won't be able to edit the contents unless you make a new esp with all the data again
Yes, you will have to remake the esm if you want to edit it, unless you have an esp to edit from

Their mod basically restored cut starborn content. Can't imagine that'd be too difficult but what do I know, I ain't touch ck at all

i need to give some kudos to all guys creating outposts mods. U are ❤️
There is a way to import a mod made with xEdit into the CK (and vice-versa). Doing so has preserved all form IDs, properties, etc and also updated the plugin file version - both the CK and Game seem to be happy and inspecting the mod file details in the CK looks to be all nice & clean - but there are multiple steps involved...
- Rename your xEdit ESM file to an ESP
- Use a Hex editor to change the 01 in the first line to a 00 - this removes the master flag (xEdit always force-sets this on save). Do not change anything else.
- Launch CK, set your ESP file as the active file
- On the right-pane highlight the Blueprints.esm master dependency and hit control-delete
- Open the file in CK, check things look right, make an arbitrary update to one of your forms (like a description) and SAVE
- File --> Convert Active File to Generate an ESM file
- Load up your game and check everything is as you left it 🙂
If you check your new ESM file alongside a copy of your original in xEdit you should also see everything is the same as before the conversion.
Note that xEdit still won't save an ESL flagged file and won't enable you to change that header flag, so you have to copy your ESP to an ESM manually and flip the 00 back to 01 if you want to import it back into xEdit.

Both pretty much do the same thing usfp author has a history of adding stuff that's not needed that the author just wanted in the game i.e FO4 SSE and a whole bunch of other stuff apparently but I won't get into it and community patch is just that fixes the bugs just without unnecessary changes

On a side note, how long is the first-time launch for CK supposed to take? Been sitting here for 10 minutes or so now (no, not exaggerating) and it had shown the launch screen where it was loading things like facegen data and whatnot and now that's gone off my screen and steam says it's running but there's nothing related to CK on my screen, including my taskbar...
It take over 8 min's to start CK for me.
I'd recommend using community patch over USFP. USFP, like USSEP and UFO4P, fixes some things but also changes things that doesn't need to be changed. Community patch is only fixes.

I'd say under frame works and such since it's an animation that'd be my guess

I'd say under FFF I don't use any animations so I can't say for sure but I know if the LO wrong for it an animation for 3rd person won't exactly break your game of it doesn't work right it'll just work as vanilla

Hi Everyone, so I was hoping I could get some help with 3 mods I had in mind, but I'm struggling more than I should be with CK.
The first mod which I thought would be simple was to make a bunch of already existing Starfield objects, decoration objects in ships and outposts, things like the objects that are stripped out for blank hab units, the items used to dress an area like crates, boxes, equipment ect.
The second mod was to create a wall mounted terminal that for now would allow you to open up the cargo menu wherever you place it.
The third was to create a 1x1 Hab unit form any/all the suppliers with a single hatch point stb and prt.
Is anyone up for joining forces, as disability stole my problem solving capabilities and I've been staring at the crafting menu for 2 days now 😭😭😭.
No experience with modding but I like your ideas!
I'd avoid the USFP. It was made by people who want to monopolize patching. Use the Community Patch. It's open source.

Thanks, I thought they were practical, quality of life kind of things. The 1x1 hab could be used as a bathroom/shower room, I mean how my ship must stink when noone seems to wash lol, or a bunk for crew members.

The decoration items for me though are priority number 1, the blank habs solved the perpetual problem of doors, but they never allowed access to the clutter and dressing so we could make them out own. Erks me greatly lol.

Dumb question: Is there some new file format beside the usual .esl, .esm and .esp? Some that moves mods to bottom of loadorder? I have three mods that refuse to go higher in loadorder. They just hop back automatically to the bottom of the loadorder. Or has the in-game mod menu changed the loadorder view? Top is bottom and vice versa? I have to test a little further but all three mods work without problem as far as i can tell, they just can't be moved higher. Outpost limit has been removed and it maybe a good mod for people using mods like LGs Luxury homes

Nope, so theres an ini option to disable the outpost budget so i just made an ini file and include this option (think FO4, once you reach a certain amount of items/triangles you cant build anymore) this should remove that. The mod was released untested and im playing around with it now and so is someone else so updates will come and a more descriptive description

Ive managed to change a few of the limits without scripts but the ones i couldnt find where the maximum buildable outpost limits and the maximum outpost build limit as the ini did nothing.
But if it was you creating this, would you make it into a quest, Runs on Game Start & only once or would that not help with NG+ but technically if a player enters NG+ they keep certain things like perks & traits as i have like 5+ traits that carry over with NG+ but the modified health, carry weight etc doesnt. (This is with console commands)

Yeah, on FO4 and Skyrim i always had multiple followers haha. I hate it how if i like more than 1 companion i can only take 1. Take skyrim for example, someone made a multiple followers mod and added in dialogue options for them to communicate with other follows and also modded follower such as Serana and Inigo and it just made traveling so much better when they had banter lmao
I did the similar thing, I got modded stand-alone followers and it was like a pack of them so I paired it with the multiple followers mod and I had matching armor and it was like forming a stand-alone squad/team
Idk it just opens a lot of possibilities; like imagine pairing that mod in a Star Wars overhauled starfield play through and you do the storyline with a team of Jedi
I did it on FO4 for my military / zombies load order on xbox. The Create Followers mod broke so i ported it to xbox and allowed me to create followers that all had milsim armour and modern weapons to form my own super squad hahah

@warm latch just to keep you updated. Set/GetActorValue(s) doesnt exist and script doesnt compile BUT, i used the console command to get the AV of the offset and it returned (First Image) so i decided to look in the creation kit, checked the users of the 1 file it showed and NPC_ aka Player was listed so checked that and its listed under Stats / OutpostsMaxDeployed with a value of 8 instead of the 23 shown in the first image. So maybe a perk modifies the amount of outposts you can build by x amount. So im going to try change that stat number and see if it updates accordingly when i rerun the console command. If it does, then it removes the need for a script

Might be. Off the top of my head the restored earth, sci Fi backgrounds, enforcer, and weather mod are known to cause that. If you're able to track it it down lmk. Been making my own little list

If you're able to track down the mod and disable it, that can fix it. Alternatively disabling all mods as well
I had this issue just this morning with the refurbished starborn guardian mod. It would cause that very issue until I disabled it and restarted my game

You may need to manually search them. What I did was click on the mod in search, initially it shows it as grayed out. Click back then click it again. Should give you the option now

Having same issue. From what I've found so far, you either go through unity or restart your save. Either way it's incredibly whack and I really don't wanna do either of those options.

@ruby radish Have you tried disabling other mods to see if there's a conflict? Any other boost pack mods you're using? My mod doesn't touch boost height or power in any way; only boost pack drain.

Okay, yeah, that is weird
My mod alters boost pack drain in the default perk skills; I might get around to just creating a new background perk in case other mods are altering the same perks in ways that unexpectedly result in weird behavior.
I have. Spent the last few hours trying to figure out an easy fix. I've uninstalled it completely and it makes it to where you get one boost charge regardless of upgrade level and pack type. I've tried installing other mods to see if that may do the trick and tried placing it all up and down the load order to see if that may be it.
Does the gigantic boost height issue persist even after you uninstall the mod?

I had dynamic boostpacks installed but they were working together fine until I started a new character.
So with all the stuff added in file is too large ima be uploading a second mod that addes in the missing textures lol sadly I think this is the only way for it to work.

See like if you have the shoulder for eaglestrike and the mk v armor it'll do stuff like that so just mess around and you might find combos that work
