#Twitch chatters, question for ya!

I'd like a ticker-tape parade
I want to be lauded, praised, and ten minutes minimum of a stream devoted to me.
No audio alert though, they can fuck off
Disagree, there should be a very annoying overlong audio alert so that the streamer has to stop talking every time someone subs or follows
Personally I like a simple greeting/hello, as it's a good indication they aren't one of those streamers who just completely ignores chat... but anything too over the top would make me uncomfortable.
I also get why people might not be into it for all sorts of reasons, so it would be really nice of there was a way of indicating that when you follow (e.g. a silent follow option)... but that is obviously wishful thinking unless people add a lot of functionality themselves.
Everyone watching should know how generous I'm being with my time and money
I'm sad and get all giddy when my sub message gets read out 😂 it's like back in the day when you got a shout-out on the radio. "THATS ME"
Oh, yeah, sub alerts I think should be read out. I just know I've heard from other people who don't like follower alerts read out
I usually say hello and thank you for following
i dont like follows being highlighted, ive specifically not followed people while they are online because of them.
I think it really depends on the stream/chat too. If Limmy personally greeted every new follower it would be annoying as fuck, but if you join a stream with say under 100 people who are all chatting to each other, a greeting can be nice to make you feel welcome/like you aren't butting in.
but ill happily send a sub message saying ive dropped my toothbrush in the toilet
What if there's a message that pops up in chat after following, that lets you know follows are anonymous, and if you want to be acknowledged by name, you can say hello?
I think that's ideal. Thinking about it, I would much rather people just respond when I actually say my first chat.
cos sometimes you just want to follow someone to watch later, and not get into it
I think it's fine to be acknowledged, it's like a way of saying "Hello", but I do know streamers who keep it anon. You could always follow when they're not streaming, though I get it's not a great solution.
There is no way on earth I will ever remember to do that.
I personally don't mind, whether I'm just lurking or not. I do however have my own follow alerts anonymous, with a channel point redemption to say hello if you do want said attention.
