#libraries won't sync

i had to reset my plex token and seerr wouldnt let me so i deleted the config and restart the container in unraid.

i added my sonarr and radarr instances, however now under the plex tab in settings, it does not show me my libraries. when i click to sync the libraries, nothing comes back either.

also when i access the front end of the site the option to log in with plex is now gone and only asks me to log in with seerr. any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks

#

stop seerr

#

also clarify to me what you mean by deleted config

#

only deleted settings.json?

#

deleted the db too/

zealous spindle
#

i stopped seerr. i deleted the settings.json

#

i did not delete the db

storm sundial
#

okay

#

anyways stop seerr

zealous spindle
#

so when i restarted i went through the setup again and selected plex but it kept all my users and my request history

#

i did

storm sundial
#

backup your config folder

#

then delete settings.json again

#

and restart

zealous spindle
#

ok im restarting it now

storm sundial
#

now go through the setup steps again and when you press sync libraries and if it doesnt work

#

send logs

#

make sure

#

to access the web ui

#

via a private tab or something or clear cache

zealous spindle
#

ok. so for initial setup i click plex then go to sign it and it pops up a window for plex

zealous spindle
#

i click sign in but then nothing happens and it stays on step 2

storm sundial
#

dont do a hard refresh

#

just a simple refresh

#

and it will go to step 3

zealous spindle
#

i refreshed the browser and it went to step 3

storm sundial
#

now continue filling up

#

and do as i said

storm sundial
zealous spindle
#

ok

#

so i refreshed the list to add my server but non of them list my local ip that i host from

#

ah no i see it. it lists the ip for the docker container

#

makes sense

#

use local/secure or just local

storm sundial
#

since its same machine

zealous spindle
#

ok cool thats what i did

storm sundial
#

and you dont want any overhead through plex

zealous spindle
#

thanks. its just working through the manual library scan on initial setup right now

storm sundial
#

otherwise it would go seerr -> internet -> plex servers -> seerr

zealous spindle
#

yeah thats unnecessary

storm sundial
#

yup haha

storm sundial
#

you dont need to wait till it finishes

#

it will run in background

zealous spindle
#

so the last time i did all this and it scanned the libraries however none of the libraries loaded under settings-plex

storm sundial
#

but continue finish setting up

#

go to settings > plex

#

and check

zealous spindle
#

i just configured my services

#

in settings - plex (the word plex is missing) there is nothing listed under libraries

#

and in a private browser trying to log in to the front end, i dont have the option to log in from plex as a user

#

this is where i thought the libraries were supposed to be listed

storm sundial
#

okay now

#

stop seerr

#

edit settings.json

#

check if plex section is filled

#

change mediaServerType from 4 to 1

zealous spindle
#

its still spinning that its syncing

#

ok to stop still?

storm sundial
zealous spindle
#

ok changed it from 4 to 1

storm sundial
#

save it

#

make sure permissions are correct

#

of the settings.json

#

do a stat settings.json

#

to make sure it matches the docs

#

then restart seerr

#

if it is correct

#

if not lmk ill help you fix

zealous spindle
#

99:100 which matches the container

storm sundial
#

then restart

zealous spindle
#

i just did

#

everything seems to work!

#

libraries are showing up under plex settings on the back end and i was able to log in via plex on the front end

zealous spindle
#

appreciate the help!

#

chagning databse from 4 to 1 was the trick?

storm sundial
zealous spindle
#

great thank you

#

i changed my plex token since i changed my password due to a possible password leak. since i update my plex token, i removed all my users from plex until they change their password. is it necessary to remove them from seerr as well or is the plex token not really transferred thru users
