#Is there any way to rerequest unavaiable movies on overseerr?

Hi @south trail,
You could delete all existing requests in Overseerr which would allow for any missing media to be re-requested.

With that being said, if Overseerr is saying a movie was requested and Radarr isn’t showing it in your movies list, you may want to check the failed requests in Overseerr to figure out why the requests never made it to Radarr.

If your requests from Overseerr to Radarr failed, the solution is to clear the failed requests and resubmit them.
Have you checked in Overseerr if they failed and what the failure was?

Your issue appears to stem from a failure between Overseerr and Radarr (though I don’t have nearly enough information to confirm that). Assuming the issue is due to a configuration problem between Overseerr and Radarr, you have to resolve the failure(s) and will likely need to resubmit your requests because they failed.

Currently we (the community here in the Overseerr Discord) don’t have any evidence provided by you that the requests from Overseerr were successfully sent to Radarr. So we can only assume they failed, and so you’ll have to clear the failed requests and resubmit them only after resolving whatever issue is preventing them from making it to Radar successfully 😅

To summarize, if you’re wanting Overseerr to automatically retry failed requests, that isn’t a function of Overseerr if Overseerr did its job but a configuration issue with Radarr existed.

FWIW, if you enable the tagging function in Overseerr, it will add a tag to any request so you can see in Radarr which movies were added by Overseerr.

Though enabling this feature in Overseerr will only apply to requests made after the feature was enabled.

As an example (see screenshot), going to the Requests section and changing the filter to "Failed" will show any failed requests.
Simply checking for failed requests can at the very least, show you what requests are potentially not in Radarr.

Tip: we in the community are volenteering our time to help where possible. Though you may not feel my responses satisfied your request for help, requiring us to pull information out of you doesn't help us help you any better or faster.

We're all in the same boat, trying to utilize these freely provided tools created by other passionate individuals and it behoves us all to be polite and respectful of and to each other.
No one else has responded to your request for help yet, and so you will be more likely to obtain additional interest from others if you engage with humility and affection for those willing to contribute their perspectives.

? I didn't bring up failed because it's not failed. They're some requested films and probably shows that show up on overseerr as requested but not in radarr

#

Anyways tho I googled reddited it and found someone who had a similar issue and posted a script that can allegedly do what I wanted

If we look at it from a process of elimination perspective, Overseerr is saying the movie was requested. Assuming your Requests filters in Overseerr aren't showing any failed requests (cause you've checked), then the next places to check are the Overseerr Logs, your Radarr Filters (ensure you don't have any filters enabled in the movies section of Radarr) and then Radarr logs.

I think it is safe to assume, if there is an issue, it should be evident from the logs and/or the Radarr filters in the Movies section.

@south trail, I see now your comment about the reddit post.

Some things to consider; not knowing why the issue occurred could mean it will happen again. I'd find it odd if I had to run a script for a process that should work as expected.
Something is likely not right somewhere in your setup or your configs/files in either Overseerr and/or Radarr.

But I'm glad you found something else to try. I hope it works for you.

If you come back to Discord for more help, you'll likely get more assistance from more knowledgable people if you're more willing to engage. Your success could help someone else, but without sharing that information, they'll have to go through just as much work if not more than you.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

@timber willow, the internet is full of prickly sour pears 🤣
This person will be back, at some point, but I won't be back to help them 😝
