#Help Setting Up Nginx and URL for Overseerr
11 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Maybe this can help you:
the interface and options are all completely different in his instructions, and unfortunately only causes me more confusion
if there's anyone who can walk me through it, I'd be greatly appreciative
Setting it up won't be that easy or straightforward without knowledge. You also need a domain and hosting, where you can configure DNS zones that point to your local installation to have a URL like overseerr.yourdomain.com. Keep in mind, for this to work, you will need a static IP from your ISP. Some hosting also offer Dynamic DNS configuration. Dynamic DNS lets you link a dynamic IP address to a domain name.
thats why im asking for help. telling someone with no knowledge that they need knowledge isnt really what im looking for here. A friend said I can use DuckDNS for a free domain and dynamic DNS
just need someone to walk me through it
Well, I gave you a Link that is help in my opinion. I also am a noob, but managed to install it on my new QNAP by watching videos on YouTube and reading instructions. I guess you will have to wait and find someone who is willing to spend his time setting all up for you.
