#Media Request Notifications

Yes, I am a user trying to receive notifications for fulfilled requests, so does that mean that the agent would need to enable notifications themselves?
admin needs to enable the agent before you can enable discord notifications.
note that discord isn't a private notification mechanism -- it just sends messages to a channel. you can select which messages you wish to be mentioned/tagged on via your overseerr notification settings.
Awesome! Thanks so much for clearing that up, I will contact the owner and ask him to enable the agent.
I am aware of this, I just made a private discord with only me in it that I want to get pinged when my requests are available.
You won't be able to configure your own server as the target of the notifications -- there is one system-wide discord webhook URL that's configured for all users
That's ok, I will probably just turn on email notifications and use Pipedream to make it trigger a discord ping.
The server owner can add their Discord webhook URL and then invite all their users to their server
But yeah otherwise I'd just use another agent.
Email is another agent the server owner would need to enable.
I will ask him to do this.
Btw in general, we mostly help server owners in here -- there's a limit to how much we can help if you don't have admin access. I would inquire about issues you run into with the server owner, who can in turn post here if they need help. 🙂
Thanks. The owner is a family member, he is just letting me use his plex server and just recently set up Overseerr as a request site.
I appreciate all the help, thank you very much.
sorry to jump on this, i think i'm trying to set the same thing up, but i am the server owner. i just want to give my friends who have access an easier way to request
can @lunar prism also help me please?
i've set Overseerr up, and tested it myself which adds a release to Radarr. great.
i set up my own discord server (first time) and created a webhook, then added that URL in Overseerr
