#what's with more radarr/ sonarr instances?

Hey I googled and read the documentation. Did not find the answer I was looking for.

What happens to additionally added radarr and sonarr instances. ( I mean extra not the 4k ones for example I have instances for different languages)
Will everything get requested on them aswell? So if I request a non-4k show all non-4k sonarr instances will get a request? (Which I wish to happen, right now I sync via lists)

If so, what is the point of the default role?
If not, whats the point of being able to add more instances?

In my current setup, I'm not auto approve tv requests. I'm using a python script that will automatically select the correct sonarr instance for me and then approve the requests
