Anyway we are off topic. TheCatLady is going to save us from the suffering of not having Overseer working (soon hopefully :P).

Also, I'm not sure how a versioned API would make things any different here, you'd still be adding support just the same to Overseer for both cases. The Sonarr build version is the API version, and it had a major bump due to breaking changes (this being one) in V4.

Yeah true. But since it just assumes we are compatible it fails even though all we are doing is sending an extra param. Backwards compatibility in this case may have helped but either way it’s not a big deal.

when you run dev/beta software and you want to force something to interact with beta software vs it play a guessing game every interaction/task is a joke sometimes

sure 1st run it guess what version of software its interacting with could be wrong, you need to be able to set a version because of the major changes for API, you dont want your setings to hose themselves

thnx for this thread. My Sonarr got updated to v4 by Watchtowerr. Getting database issues trying to restore my old 3.0.9 database and revert the container so guess i'll be waiting for v4 support

C’est une proposition pour remettre en place l’api de déclaration des languages temporairement dans sonarr. Ils ont enlevé cet api dans la v4 ce qui cause l’incompatibilité. Ça permet de repousser la date des incompatibilités à plus tard laissant plus de temps aux devs de mettre à jour leur code. Par contre je sais pas si et quand ça arrivera vraiment dans sonarr.

latest is pointing to a sonarr 3.0.9.1549 image, so it probably didn't work due to database changes that they did for 4.0

You’ll find when connecting to a v4 instance (for now) the language will show as deprecated (once you update to the latest v4)

If you are using containers, have you tried the non-docker network IP? For example, my docker containers run on a system with an IP of 192.168.1.2, and the network segment inside is 172 like yours, but I use the 192.168.1.2:8989. Unless they are reconfigured, I don't believe the containers can talk to each other directly.
