this is a huge debate in the devs team so i want to tell the best way to help making the game more fun to both vets and hatchlings.

here is a great solution to make all the players satisfied

making a new gamemode only accessible to veterans

make a new gamemode called the pit of death, it will be a new type of game, only accessible to veterans, (like you need to have 200+ hours to enter, or a really good K/D or V/D to unlock it) they are all variant of all of the gamemodes (exept pve) the variant are WAY harder than the normal games, that also take longer, like spoils of war that have less money dragons, carnage with a team of the pve creature that roams around and try to kill you, gates where you have more gates to pass ans multiple flags, survival but you only have 3 lives, and your tower to protect, skrimish with a map that change shapes and try to poison you. if you add that, the vets will be able to get separated and they will be able to enjoy way harder minigames with eachother.
so if less experienced players try to enter this gamemode, they will know that this is going to be tough***. you can also put a big warning sign for when they want to play it for the first time, that this gamemode is made to be tough.***
and the rewards to playing this gamemode should not be more rewardable compared to the normal games. make a new currency, that only can be earned by playing the hard mode, and this currency should only allow us to buy exclusive cosmetics. so the newbies that cant access the gamemode dont report the game as unfair and the vets has an unfair advantage against new players.
so they cannot complain to you guys that the game is unfair and they will not accuse us for hacking

yall tell me what do you guys think of this solution.

I think that maybe there should have to be certain challenges to unlock it rather than an hour barrier
I'm pretty low hours but I can compete at a high-ish level

I like the idea, but dislike the time and k/d requirement. As mentioned, time is not a skill indicator. As for k/d, there are already squads grindind it without it being required to unlock something and being on the opposing team is rather painful and discouraging, as often they stretch the match as long as possible(GOF), ignore the objective (gold, flag) and focus on killing 1 by 1. I've had a match with over 7 disconnects on my team and I'm afraid a k/d requirement would make it more common.
I'd rather see a series of somewhat diffucult quests, like a 100 kills with each class, 20 wins in every unranked mode, etc.

Agreed with Ghost- marking veterancy via actual gameplay is good. A 200h or whatever thing will get people just sitting on the main menu with an AHK or something to click around the menu for a couple days.

It'd be hard to backward-implement, unless the game has a track of when you registered, it can use that as a one-time blanket allowance or not then use the unlock. ~100 kills with each class isn't that a tough goal and it gets you using all the classes. (Though with two classes being paid, I'd say maybe 150-200 in each free class so people don't get excluded)

You see the time they would have to put into something like that only to split playrbase and have longer Q times probably for the vets that would more likely be a hint for me to really stop playing. There is even more simple and more needed answer as first step to that and that is custom lobbies.

Also taking the vets (not death squads) from the hatchling would also mean taking an inspiration out of their matches. I don't know how about you, but I got better by flying against them.
