question about MS

for the quadratic i knew one isnt rejected so i didnt write +- would i lose the marks

i wrote (2root2x-2root2) swuared /1+x squared which is equivalent but the MS just says this do i get the mark

as it doesnt say oe.

i canceleed the 3 to the power of x before converting the u, do i still ge tthe method marks

if you've only wrote one answer, or you've rejected and answer, you get the mark

it says the 'u's must cancel to achieve the form, so as long as you've got to the correct form, you've got it correct
