How do you know that to find the area of the big triangle, you need to use bxh instead of 0.5absinc as ive seen some qs use the second formula for right angled triangles

Just set your calc to radians πŸ™

#

the area of sector considers 1/2r^2 theta

#

since the line is tangent

#

this makes the triangle right angled

Ya

#

Can find CA or CO

#

1/2bh is just a case of 1/2absinC when sinC = 1

but why would u

its like using sine rule on a right angled triangle

i guess he could prolly derive that formula with 1/2absinc maybe??

1/2absin(pi/2)--->1/2ab(1)

1/2ab

twin

that was the most counter intuitive thing ive ever seen 😭

if he uses and remembers 1/2absinc

#

it could be helpful
