Hi i'm not sure how to approach part b. For context part a is equal to 2.401 m . For part b my approach was using the sum of a geometric progression formula and i got 29.4117 but the markscheme got a different answer. So how would you solve this?

Try think why they included a diagram, for some questions it can give you the hint required - in general, for modelling, remember there are marks for literally writing down the model so try think about what it could be
